This is my second read through and it's a really good read.

Princess Jensine (Jenna) was pregnant by her boyfriend who was away with the military. She was awaiting his return to tell him of his impending fatherhood but he was killed in action. As not to bring scandal to her royal family she decides to escape the country to protect them.

Liam Hawke is a botanist for his family’s company, a scientist, if you will. He received a call from the hospital informing him that a former girlfriend had just given birth to his child that he knew nothing about. She was close to death and by the time he arrived she had passed away. The hospital released the newborn into the care of its father, Liam, much to the dismay of the ex-girlfriend’s parents. They are determined to gain custody of their grandchild by any means.

Since Jenna has had her baby she desires a job that will allow her daughter to accompany her. She decides a nanny position may be just the answer. She has been the housekeeper for Liam's brother, Dylan, and Liam, with his brother's permission, hires her away from him because she is so good with her own daughter.

I loved the hero and heroine and their children. It was a sweet and lovely journey to a happily ever after. I highly recommend this book as well as the rest of the series which is one of my favorite Harlequin series about three brothers and the women who steal their hearts. It is one I will read again and again.

Thank you Rachel Bailey for these wonderful books.

Review: The Nanny Proposition – Rachel Bailey

The cover first drew me to this book, and the fact it was written by Rachel Bailey whose work I always enjoy. What I didn’t expect was how much I would love all her characters. This time, it’s not just adults who tug our heartstrings; there are two beautiful baby girls, Meg and Bonnie who will beguile you too.

Liam Hawke hires his brother’s housekeeper, Jenna Peters, as nanny to his baby. Under the circumstances it’s a good move for both of them. Jenna can keep her own daughter with her while she works and Liam gets Jenna to teach him parenting skills since he has had no time to learn them. Everything is fine, except for the mutual attraction fuelled by living under the same roof and the odd secret or two that lies at the heart of what both hold dear.

This is a lovely story with beautiful interactions between the adults and the babies. I doubt anyone could not find Liam sexy as he learns to care for Bonnie while falling completely in love with his brand new daughter. A gorgeous, rumple-haired man at midnight certainly wins Jenna’s heart as she and her little girl, Meg, fall under Liam’s spell too.

Touching, heart-warming, sexy but with family at its core, this story is an all-round winner for me. It’s one of my keepers.

Emotional story. Liam discovers that he's a father when a hospital calls to tell him that a former girlfriend has given birth, but is suffering complications. By the time he arrives, the woman has died, leaving Liam with a newborn daughter. He has no idea how to care for her, but has fallen under Bonnie's spell immediately and is determined to do the best he can for her. With her maternal grandparents determined to wrest custody from him, Liam knows he needs help.

Jenna is a single mother of an eight month old girl who is working as a housekeeper for Liam's brother. Liam wastes no time in hiring Jenna away from Dylan. Jenna can't resist taking the job because it means she can keep her baby with her while she works. She doesn't know how long she'll be staying, as she knows she needs to go home sooner or later.

I loved seeing Jenna tutor Liam in how to be a parent. He is so sweet in his determination to be everything she needs. It was heartwarming to see how quickly he took to being a dad. Jenna and Liam do some bonding themselves over late night baby bottles. Jenna gives Liam some great ideas for the launch of his new flower. She also encourages him to reach out to Bonnie's other grandparents and see if a compromise can be reached in their custody battle.

There's a deepening attraction and growing feelings between Liam and Jenna. They start to feel like they're building a family. But Jenna's conscience starts to bother her and she decides it's time for her to go home and face her parents. Before she can go, she feels she has to tell Liam the truth about who she is. Liam is intimidated by what she tells him, for it brings back some bad memories from when he was younger. It takes an eye opening conversation with his brothers to straighten him out. Then all he has to do is face Jenna's parents. That scene was fantastic and brought the fairy tale to the perfect conclusion.

Princess Jensine was in love with her boyfriend. She was sure when he got back from serving in the military, that they would tell the parents, and they would get married. She was waiting for him to get back to tell him, she was pregnant. He never made it home. He died in combat. She was raised, knowing her family never had scandals. The people of her country looked up to her royal family. She felt she had no choice but to go into hiding. She moved to the states and was a housekeeper for Dylan.
When Liam found out that he was a father to a baby girl that was just days old, he begged Jenna to be his new nana. His brother knew he would miss his house keeper, but knew that Liam needed her more. Bonnie's mother died shortly after having her. Liam had no idea how to take care of a baby. He needed all the help he could get. I laughed when Jenna told him everything he would need, from diapers, to clothes, to a crib, and crib sheets, the list went on, and on. He said all of that for a 7 pound baby. I loved how the relationship between Jena, and Liam grew, as the two took care of little Bonny, and Meg. Throughout the story you could see them falling in love with one another.
Jenna knew she couldn't hide out forever. She had to go back and face the music. This was a sweet story, that brought tears to my eyes. You will just have to read to see if the love they found, will stand when Jenna faces her mother and father, the King, and Queen. Will Liam let her go, and set her free, or will he chase after her? Is there a way that the four can be a real family?
Any book that brings tears to my eyes is worth reading. They were tears of joy. I do have a soft heart, when I get engrossed in a good story, so you may not need tissues like I did. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

Not one, but two sweet babies to capture your heart here! Hero Liam Hawke finds out he's a father in fairly awful circumstances (Rachel Bailey, you do break hearts sometimes!). But he is a hero, so steps up. He also commandeers his brother's housekeeper, single mother Jenna, to be nanny. Neither expect love to blossom - like the flowers in the fields of Liam's family business. What Liam doesn't realize is that Jenna's been hiding out from her family since her daughter was born. She's a real live princess, and will eventually need to go home. There is a doozy of a final scene, and everyone will fall more in love with Liam right there (if they're not already) - so do keep the tissues handy! It really is a beautiful romance. Thanks Rachel, this one definitely found a place in my heart.

There were two things that attracted me to this novel - the babies and the cover. What a great job Harlequin have done with this cover. Not only is the hero hunky but the babies are very sweet too. The cover did not fail the story either. As always, Ms Bailey pens a beautifully written, romantic tale that twists your heart in knots and revives your belief in happy-ever-afters.

This was a good, quick read and I enjoyed it. I would have given it a higher rating, but Jenna being a princess and her dealing with all that, in this day and age and given that she's only about 24 years old, was just too unbelievable for me and kept pulling me out of the story whenever it was brought up. I also felt like the ending was very rushed, every little thing just cleaned and tidied up in the final chapter and that was it. You had 10 chapters of building the story and Liam & Jenna's relationship that suddenly wrapping it up in the final 11th chapter didn't go with the flow of the entire book.

Other than those two little things, I really enjoyed this and I plan on continuing the series.

I enjoyed reading this book. Quick and nice read

Liam all of sudden finds himself to be a father, decides that he needs someone to help him with his daughter. He offers the job to the first person he see's who can help him with his daughter who happens to be his brother's housekeeper, who is also a single mother herself.

This is the story of mutual interaction and taking care of two cute baby girls.

Which reader doesn't love good and captivating scandalous baby romance? I definitely do, and if it's written by the fabulous Rachel Bailey it's even better!

In this her latest read Liam Hawke discovers he is the father of an orphaned newborn, understandably it rocks his world. But this is where the beauty of this story starts, and I will definitely add with the remarkable talent of Rachel Bailey it's even more stunning, because right here is where nanny Jenna Peters fits in. She's a single mother herself and thus the perfect candidate for helping Liam cope with his new found responsibility.

Jenna works her magic but not only on the newborn but on Liam too. Liam soon finds he can't resist Jenna and is completely spellbound by this beauty that has entered his life under such difficult circumstances.
Jenna however tries to keep her irresistible boss at arm's length, it's a losing battle! Soon it goes from playing house to a full out reality romance of epic proportions.

But once Liam finds out who she really is, she'll have to say goodbye to the man she loves and their little unconventional family. That is unless the seductive charm of a certain single dad makes her proposition she can't refuse, she's a princess after all and all princesses deserve a happy ending right?

I loved every single second of this book. It was sweet and caring, hot and sexy and simply the perfection of a fairy tale romance. The author let's Jenna teach Liam all about being a parent and as he slowly goes from single player to full fleshed nappy changing, bottle warming dad and with each new lesson the man just crept deeper and deeper into my heart.

Jenna was a truly fantastic character, I loved her fighting spirit, yes she of course naturally is concerned about facing her parents and having to explain a scandal no princess will simply want to have to face so yes she's not all about fighting spirit all the way , but as the days go by she keeps this certain " I have to fight " mantra going and her confidence is built up to a spectacular " I can face anything" attitude. It was remarkable to read about a woman who is clearly in dire straits go from down and facing the worse possible scandal in her life to faking it to make it out alive and able to handle it all.

From this read there was a clear and very valuable lesson made clear on each and every page, life sometimes deals us set of issues that seem impossible to face. Some make us stronger, others break us to the point where there is no way we think we can rise to the top again. But life also sends up the means to handle it to the best of our abilities and sometimes even sends up the right person to guide us to a way where no matter how bad it seems we can and will be able to handle it. The trick is of course to see the person sent our way and to not push then away because they might not appear in the form we would expect, as the saying goes
" Nothing is always as it seems" , and it would do us all good to remember that line when life get's a little out of our comfort zone.

Rachel Bailey has written a truly captivating, beautiful story of romance blossoming under the most unexpected of circumstance. And to make it even better we have the characters of two adorable babies. And if the going to sexy single hero to sexy make my knees melt daddy, Liam, doesn't melt your heart, these adorable little babes will !

I highly recommend this read for all fans that love a scandalous, secret babies, love found in unexpected places romance reads, Rachel Bailey has once again shown just why she is able to make her readers hearts step away from the world we live in to the magic of fairy tales come true!

This story opens in quite tragic circumstances for Liam Hawke. After a call from a midwife Liam is catapulted headlong into unexpected fatherhood. His newborn daughter Bonnie is left without her birth mother, following birth complications.

Of course as a successful businessman Liam thinks his first order of business is a paternity test, until he sees his daughter with the trademark Hawke head of hair. Liam falls head over heels in love with his tiny daughter at first sight, just as countless men before him have fallen.

However Liam's appearance after their daughter dies is contentious for the maternal grandparents who make it crystal clear he won't get sole custody without a fight. Liam is determined to bring up his daughter as best he can, but he also knows he needs expert help, and fast. But to whom can he turn?

Brother Dylan Hawke knows someone who can help, at least initially. His new housekeeper Jenna has a baby. The brothers consult Jenna, and Liam then cheekily poaches her from his brother's employment. Jenna is swayed not only by a pay rise, but by being able to care for her own daughter Meg, as well as baby Bonnie, in her new role of nanny. Of course, Jenna also has her own secrets, and only one person alive knows what they are.

The reader then gets to enjoy Jenna tutoring Liam in parenthood, and to explore Liam's creative side in hybridising floral blooms. Jenna encourages Liam to reach out to baby Bonnie's maternal grandparents, and also wins a place in Liam's housekeeper's heart. Jenna's event creativity results in a fairytale masquerade ball to launch Liam's new flower. They seem so in tune with each other and with their respective children!

However, despite the sparks flying between them, Jenna is at the mercy of her conscience and eventually decides to return to her home country. Liam is intimidated by what Jenna reveals to him before she leaves. The culmination of Liam and Jenna's story puts Liam through a tense showdown with Jenna's parents, holding a baby in each of his arms.

Author Rachel Bailey has begun her 'Billionaires and Babies' series with Liam's story. His brothers Dylan Hawke and Adam Hawke and their respective stories, will complete the series. I really enjoy these family dynasty stories; as there is nothing better than starting a new book already knowing and loving some of the characters.

Thanks Rachel, I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the rest of your series!

Liam Hawke thinks he has everything in the world, he’s rich, thriving lifestyle, and a great family. Then on the way to a meeting his entire life changes with just one phone call. Jenna Peters, ran far far away when she learned her world was going to be turned upside down. Now she is in hiding as a housekeeper for Dylan Hawke yet when Liam walks in this next time her entire world is turned upside down again.

What happens when two adults and two babies are put together in unexpected ways? What will happen when Liam figures out that Jenna is hiding something? Or when he finds out what that something is? What will Jenna do when she realizes her heart is lost? Will this be a fairy tale ending?

Ms. Bailey has created a wondrous world with the Hawke family. Between Liam and his brothers not to mention his parents, I can only hope that this is the beginning of a series. Her descriptions of the players have them jumping to life from the pages and enacting her words. While yes, the story is very fairy tale it also has the element of realism and some pain, from the loss of parents. This is a story that has somehow managed just the right recipe of heat, sweetness, romance and reality. Or as Ms. Bailey put it “That sounds like a recipe for heaven.”

Apparently I'm craving sweet love stories with unlikely plot elements today and this was no exception. I read the description for the third book a few days ago and decided I had to read it and of course you can't start with the third book in a series so I started with this one.

If you're a fan of contemporary romance combined with adorable babies you'll probably seriously enjoy this book. I liked it, it was cute but it also wasn't really my cup of tea either. The story begins with a man who gets a call from a hospital announcing the birth of his daughter when he didn't even know his ex from eight months back was pregnant. Said ex dies before he arrives and then he steals his brother's housekeeper to become his nanny because she's a single mom who's great with children. That would have been stretch enough but said nanny is a royal princess from a small European country who's in hiding because she's afraid to tell her family she had a baby out of wedlock after becoming pregnant by her now dead fiance.

While parts of this were adorable and made me smile the way it was so far fetched just wasn't really doing it for me. The story is cute and not a bad read, but it's not really what I'd call a great, must read either.

The Nanny Proposition is Rachel Bailey’s contribution to the Billionaires and Babes series. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn’t put it down. Ms. Bailey had me from page one. Out of nowhere Liam Hawke discovers he’s a father. He’s clueless on what to do with a baby. Enter Jenna Peters, his brother’s housekeeper, who is also a single parent. Liam convinces her to become his daughter’s nanny. Jenna agrees but she has her secrets that she’s kept from the Hawke family since joining their employ. Liam learns to trust Jenna as she helps him deal with fatherhood and how to deal with his daughter’s maternal grandparents. Rachel Bailey knows how to draw her readers into the emotion of her characters. I fell in love with Liam’s daughter, Bonnie, and Jenna’s daughter Meg. I’m a sucker for these types of stories and was not disappointed. I highly recommend this book. I’d like to disclose that I received a copy of The Nanny Proposition in exchange for a fair and honest review.

3.7- 4.2 Stars. Public Library 2/16/15. Suprisingly delightful. It is few and far between to get a book better then just good when reading this genre. This falls into that category. Liam gets a surprise of a lifetime when the hospital calls letting him know he's become a father when he didn't even know his ex-girlfriend was expecting. Jenna has been his brother's housekeeper for about a year now. When she's not working she spends all her time with her 8-month old daughter. When Liam finds himself with an infant his brother's hired help seems like the ideal solution. Jenna can't say no to Liam's job offer of being a nanny when she would be able to keep her own precious daughter with her 24/7. Liam couldn't be happier with his new delectable nanny except he keeps getting this feeling that she's hiding something. When they finally get together Jenna's secret is revealed. Can Liam handle all she has to offer or will he let her go? Overall the story has a nice balance between sex, romance and real life. I would've liked a little more at the end but it still ends well.

Born to power, Jenna is undaunted by hard work. Brought up a princess of the royal house of Larsland, she earns a living first as a housekeeper and then a nanny.

Liam is a man who lives up to his responsibilities because he has to. Add to that a daughter he has just met and fallen in love with for forever, he is all on the ready to forge a world for her where she gets all that she desires.

Both single parents, with one baby aged eight months and another a couple of days, Liam and Jenna build a family based on love and learning as they go.

A good read I must say.

Awesome read the tragic circumstances on how Liam became a daddy are what draw you in to this story.
I started reading and did not stop til the end,
Some parts did bring a tear to my eyes & yet some you just want to smack Liam for what he does to Jenna.
I loved it & I am sure you will too.
The "Liam" on the cover is what I imagined he would look like and the adorable kids on the cover add another element to draw you into this story.

Could not put this book down. I read it in one sitting.
I loved that the HEA had the hero admitting that he was wrong, but it didn't seem to be the traditional grovelling I was wrong. Love the compromise proposed by Liam as part of the HEA.
Looking foward to reading the stories of the other two Hawke brothers when they come out. Also curious if we will get stories that include Jenna/Jensine's siblings :)

1.5 stars

I ended up skimming through this book to scenes with Bonnie and Meg in it and those were definitely worth the 1.5 stars. I love little ones in books. Unfortunately, while I liked the premise, there were too many tropes included (unexpected baby, hidden royalty) to do them all justice, and the cute babies weren't used enough to really engage me in the book. I also didn't really feel any chemistry between Jenna and Liam.
