Evans Witches #3

Dragon Fire

Rate this book
A fairy queen, the dragon clan of Loch Ness, my own magical powers, and the head of the strongest guild of witches in the world are not enough to save my baby.

Because Rick Mitchell―the most corrupt and powerful mage I’ve faced, and one of the most notorious lawyers in New York City―found out about my secret pregnancy!

And he’s going to expose it to the people who are waiting for the chance to kill Mark and our unborn child.

I am fighting all of this alone, because Mark left me, afraid that he couldn’t control his magical darkness. I thought our love would be the way to his cure, through our destined bond.

Rick is hitting us when we’re down and he’s after everything: Mark’s billion-dollar company, my magical assistance in joining his witches to reverse the Curse of Avalon, and alienating all my supporters.

Even my closest friends can’t be trusted.

And now, that he knows I’m pregnant, he has me with my back against the wall, and he’s giving me one choice: become Mark’s divorcee, or his widow.

Perfect for readers who love:
– magical suspense
– magical underworld
– snarky witch who bites back
– destined lovers
– Scottish adventure
– secret baby
– witches, fairies and dragons

Author’s Review: the writing of Dragon Fire

I was scared at first, when I turned on the computer to write the Finale. 6 books, 2 trilogies, all connected. I had to finish big. And then…it just came out. All the hours of research and influential readings poured through my fingers into one opening scene that was both scary and unexpected. I stared at the screen. And I knew this was IT. This was Dragon Fire.

“Magic was a beautiful thing. I could still remember what it felt like to look up at the sky and make it rain. My hands, that once had a power constantly vibrating inside them, that could create fireballs, now felt cold.
I missed it so much.
I sat on an old wooden bench in the park, waiting for Mark. Everything was quiet, apart from a few kids, in the middle of a game of tag in the snow. A chilling wind played with the remains of a newspaper.
Somewhere in my mind, I knew that this was just a dream. That I was safely asleep, that it was summer, and that I still had magic.
No, wait—this wasn’t a dream. Dreams were never this real. This was a premonition.”

I flew through the first draft, entangling Mark and Julie at ever-rising stakes. Trouble on all fronts: the Guild, Ralph and Kendra, even Julie’s family, and the most needed tie to the first trilogy: Morgan La Fay!
In less than a week, I was done with part 1, and then I couldn’t stop because part 2 brought Kim and Seth and the high but inevitable price of ending Julie and Mark’s struggles.
