I’ve read most of BJ Alpha’s books. I even read and have the coveted “Daddy’s Addiction.” But “Deception” has to be the shmuttiest, or it comes—haha—very close compared to the others. And I say that because BJ Alpha gets right to it with Rocco and doesn’t stop. All eighteen-year-old of Rocco, that is. And he knows things—a lot of things. It’s fiction. Don’t worry about it. “Deception” is a reverse age-gap in which Rocco, part of the whole daddy mafia group we all love, is a student and Hallie is his teacher. When they met, she didn’t realize his age or that he would pop into her class as her student. Rocco wants her and will do whatever it takes.
“Deception” is one of those books that doesn’t allow much break time. BJ Alpha kept her characters quite busy and detailed their scenes very well. Several scenes made me pause, and I told myself, “Self, it’s fiction; don’t worry about it.” I always have a good time with a BJ Alpha book, and “Deception” was a good time.

This was full of my pet peeves.. she was married when he saw her the first time... and this is a big NO NO NO for me ,the second NO NO was him being a ''daddy'' at 18... but i kept pushing back my cringing and went with it because he is indeed obsessed and crazy about her BUT along the way i kept disliking her more and more because i hated her past so this can be only a me thing.
The cherry on the top that made me absolutely DNF it is finding out she have also a teen child.
I rather stop my reading here instead of giving a low rating only because i hate the trophies in it.
She was older and i couldn't stand it, even tho i was intrigued at first because like i said Rocco is insane and i loved it he did a lot of hot as f scenes and things but i wish it was a different h :(

BJ Alpha has done it again, and this time with Rocco – the unhinged, possessive, and deliciously complex mmc we all needed in her universe. His mix of OTT intensity, jealous possessiveness, and those stalkerish tendencies made him instantly one of my favorites.
One of the best aspects of Rocco’s character? The way he looks at Hallie and declares, she’s mine – no ifs, ands, or buts. Becky nailed that possessive, all-consuming romance that keeps you turning pages late into the night.
The plot was captivating, the romance sizzled, and the smut? Perfection, as always. Plus, the Easter egg for Vinny’s upcoming book was an exciting touch! I have my theories about who the FMC might be, but BJ Alpha’s mind is on another level, so who knows?
If you’re looking for a read that’s intense, spicy, and full of Alpha-verse goodness, this one is a must! 🔥

My favorite of the Marino men so far . The youngest Rocco . Made man since 13, he first lays his eyes on his little red while he was 16 at a night club . She is consuming to him . 2 years later he gets his chance to approach her . Leaves her with a surprise 😮 that first night ! But he becomes obsessed 😍 by any means necessary she will he his !! In EVERY SENSE OF THE WORD . Cameras , breaking and entering , stalking etc . But what happens when the truth is thrown in her face . Will he loose her , no he refuses ! She isn’t going anywhere .

The story follows Rocco, who becomes obsessed with Hallie as soon as he sets his eyes on her. Through deception and manipulation, he does everything to ensure his "Little Red" becomes his.
The depths he went through to make that happen and his antics had me shaking my head in disbelief, but also giggling and kicking my feet at the same time.
This was very much smut over plot. It was kinky and filthy, and I was here for it!

This was not at all what I was expecting, even having read a fair bit of BJ's already published work.
There were jaw dropping moments, fully gasped out loud ones and laughing in utter shock moments as I read this one. The storyline of this book, between Hallie and Rocco, was next level! There was absolutely no predicting where on earth this was going to go. Freaking loved it!!
Age gap trope is probably one of my top tropes, however a reverse age gap is not normally one of them...but it really didn't matter for this. BJ made me love a reverse age gap. Amazing.

I don’t think I’ve ever been shocked by a main character quite like I did with Rocco. This man knew what he wanted and nothing was stopping him from getting his Little Red, not his club, her age, nor what was in their way. I recommend going in blind and just enjoying the ride because wow…. I read this book in one sitting.

Our man Rocco? Sir. SIR. He is daddy with a capital D and a restraining order waiting to happen. 🤭He’s obsessive, controlling, morally ambiguous, and has a mouth so filthy I had to clutch my imaginary pearls while reading on 2% brightness like it was banned material. We love a man who just knows you’re his, period.
And let’s talk about little Red she is smart, sarcastic, and clearly fighting for her life against Rocco’s insane levels of dominance (and failing spectacularly, bless her heart). The dynamic between them was pure fire. It’s like watching a cinnamon roll try to argue with a nuclear warhead. 🤪
The smut? Ma’am. There were scenes that made me question if my Kindle was going to file a police report. The breeding kink? Aggressive. The age gap? Deliciously wrong. The power dynamic? Unhinged and somehow perfect. And don’t even get me started on the mirror scene. BJ Alpha, you’re going straight to jail and I will be in the getaway car.

Rocco took over and became my favorite Marino brother. We have a strong FMC, possessive MMC. He waited 2 years to put his plan into action and he did not disappoint. If you enjoy age gap, student teacher trope then this book is for you.

A few thoughts instead of a complete review:
- I couldn't take this book seriously. Rocco fell into obsessive love with Hallie when he was 16 and she was married at the time.
- The reverse age-gap romance did NOT work for me. I couldn't take them seriously. Hallie was also a doormat heroine with no spine or personality.
- Rocco waited 2 years to approach Hallie and while I do admit that I liked the beginning of the book, it quickly went off the rails when he showed up as a student in her class.
- BJ Alpha knows how to write SPICY scenes because that's the only reason why this book didn't get a lower rating.
- Hallie is 33 and Rocco is 18. Just no. I tried to make them work but her calling him the D-word made me want to laugh and throw my Kindle. That's not how it works...
- Rocco is absolutely unhinged and insane. He went through great lengths to infiltrate her life and did not take no for an answer. He stalked her, went inside her house, stole her items, and even did things to her while she slept.
- I'm actually looking forward to Vinny's book—Tommy, Rafael, and Rocco's father. I have a feeling that he might end up with Kimberly Harrington, the young woman who was supposed to marry Rocco. But I can't confirm if this is true since the book hasn't been written yet. We just got a sneak peak of his interaction with someone.

OMG! The story, the characters, the tropes! The obsession is just so real! Talk about being a mafia heir, young and already obsessed with an older woman? Talk about “Daddy Vibes”!!!
I know I keep talking about him, but I don’t even know what to tell you! I’m just so impressed with the writing in this book! Every single book just makes the other look like a child play! They just keep getting crazier, meaner, sexy, possessive, and “daddy”! These MMC are everything and everywhere!

AUDIOBOOK OUT NOW!! You don’t want to miss this book the narration had my knees quaking and my palms sweaty … I felt like I was right there in the book as I was listening !! BJ Alpha does it again! 💥🤩 I love this book 📖 Rocco is 💋. Hallie is a good FMC she’s strong 💪 and I enjoyed reading in dual prospectives. First time I have read and reversed age gap and I really liked this one for sure.

First off if I could give this book more stars on here then I absolutely WOULD!!
Deception in the 3rd book in the Mafia Daddies Series (Can be read as a standalone - BUT I HIGHLY recommend you read the whole series in order) it Follows Rocco Marino on his Wild Possessive Journey to get his girl.
This book was literally everything I needed right now! It’s hot, its spicy and amount of Possessiveness is just *Chefs Kiss*. The spicy is so good and the plot is there the whole way through the book which I LOVE!!!
I love me some Tommy and Rafael, but I gotta say it, Rocco definitely has to be my favourite Mafia DADDY!
