One runaway human. One frustrated werewolf sheriff. Pretending to be mates is supposed to be the easy part…
Robin never imagined she’d be on the run, but after being framed for a crime she didn’t commit, her only option is to disappear. She lands in Fairhaven Falls, a quirky small town full of creatures that should terrify her—but after dealing with real-life villains, a town of monsters is almost a relief. If only she didn’t keep falling into the arms of the town's huge werewolf sheriff…
Eric has had it with his pack’s matchmaking schemes. They’ve been sending a steady stream of she-wolves to his door in an effort to tie him down, and he needs a break. The pretty little human with the frightened eyes and the most delectable scent he’s ever encountered seems like the perfect solution—they’ll pretend to be mates, and his pack will finally give him some breathing room.
Robin’s not thrilled about cozying up to the law, especially not a bossy, protective werewolf, but when he gives her that hot, hungry look, it's easy to forget she’s a fugitive. With his pack breathing down their necks and her past catching up fast, the only thing scarier than the monsters in town is the fact that their little charade is starting to feel dangerously real…
Each book in the Fairhaven Falls series can be read as a standalone romance. This sweet and steamy holiday tale is intended for mature readers.
I am a sucker for this whole series. What's not to love about low angst, cute, small town, monster (or other) romance. I love Flora and all her meddling. I never thought the sheriff was going to be that sweet much of a cinnamon roll and I loved all of that. Robin being on the run but having some real backbone hit just right.
This is a cozy, small-town monster romance in the Fairhaven Falls series. The books in this series are all interconnected standalones and could be read in any order, although this one references a few other past characters.
The human FMC is on the run, and the MMC werewolf sheriff quickly becomes infatuated. They enter into an arranged fake dating situation, and we all know how those end up.
This is a quick, fun read. Honey Phillips and the Fairhaven Falls books are always enjoyable.
Spice: 4/5 Plot: 4/5 Writing: 4/5 My Enjoyment: 4/5
It just wasn’t good. It was a struggle to finish. It felt like someone told AI about 10 tropes to fit into a book and published whatever it spit out. There’s fated mates, damsel in distress, Virgin FMC, protective/possessive mate, an over the top bad guy, mom who doesn’t support the mating, fake dating, OWD who wants the MMC and is catty. It was too much. And it was repetitive and badly written. It easily could have been 80 pages less. It all just wrapped up so simply. And the big conflict of the book was that he looked up her past with telling her (though he literally had to since a bounty hunter tried to kill her and he is the sheriff) and she runs off but then apologizes like 2 pages later. Idk. It just sucked. It was inconsistent, no chemistry, character motivations were dumb, blah.
It just was a waste of time. Total bore and a slog at the same time.
Monster (werewolf). Sheriff MMC. Set up FMC on the run. Damsel in distress. Fated mates. Mom disapproves. Rescued FMC. Virgin FMC. Knotting. Mating mark (bite). No cheating. No breakup. Fake dating. Some OWD (another lady werewolf wants the MMC but no history there). No OMD. Epilogue 1 month later and pregnant.

It’s got a protective, sweet and a little obsessed wolf, a sweet, guarded woman on the run, add in a little fake dating in a delightful paranormal small town with meddling orc grandmas and what’s not to love!! Another successful Flora match!

It was really sweet and cute seeing them around each other and i like that after everything she has been though she felt safe with the hero.. She was happy to have someone on her side taking care of her because she also looked out for the hero too which i thought was so sweet.. I really liked it when she stood up to the hero's mum and told her off for treating Eric wrong which made his mum love the heroine and was happy that her son found someone who was strong and looking out for him because all she really wants is to see her son happy which she can see that the heroine does that for him..
I like Flora who owns the Inn because she is funny and She likes playing matchmaker because she can tell when someone are soulmates and she always looks out for her grandson and her friends but she also looks out for everyone in her town too..
If you want to check out some of the characters: ⦁ Check out the rest of the books in the Fairhaven Series ⦁ Posy's book is called Bidding on the Orc Outcast ⦁ Pippa's book is called The Single Mum and the Orc
I really liked that after years of the wolfpack pushing women onto Eric so he can become the next Alpha that now they can see that Eric was not happy but now they can see that Eric is happy because he has found his mate in a human so they make peace with it and welcomes Robin into the wolfpack family.. I also liked how mostly everyone stood up for the heroine and kept her safe when the bad guys came to town.. I also liked how the hero's mum Marjorie protected the Heroine from the bad guys too..
I liked the romance between Eric & Robin, also I enjoyed the small town feel and the cozy vibe.. I am glad that they got a happy ending.. I liked seeing Flora, Alison, Will and the rest of the characters from the cozy small town.. I can not wait to read Sam's book because his character sounds awesome..
Characters i did not like: ⦁ Lila [She wanted Eric] ⦁ Martin [Heroine's Ex boss] ⦁ Rick [Works for Martin]
Sheriff Eric is NOT happy with his mother's propensity to push eligible werewolf females in his direction. He pulled back from the pack so he could find his own way and he's happy as the sheriff of Fairhaven Falls. He's not interested in the women being paraded in front of him and isn't about to mate himself to one just to make his mother happy.
Then Robin crosses his path and...well, he's intrigued. The little human is nervous and scared and she lights up every protective instinct he has. He knows she's on the run from something and offering himself up as her protector seems like a solid solution since he can avoid any new matchmaking from his mom while keeping the little human safe.
On Robin's end, she's worn thin from being on the run and doesn't know who to trust. Playing house with the sheriff is a plan, but she's not ready to let her guard down entirely because her instincts have been wrong before. That said, the more time she spends in Fairhaven, the more she starts to believe she might have a chance at having a normal life.
One gentle case of matchmaking, one dangerous bounty hunter, one slightly overbearing mama wolf, one sheriff who knows a good lady when he sees her, and one human who desperately wants to trust the wolf she's come to care for. *thumbs up*
On the run from a bounty hunter who would like nothing more than to see her ruined, human Robin is in Fairhaven Falls to begin an under the table position as a live in housekeeper when she crashes into the local sheriff, blowing up her plans to stay off the radar.
Expected by his pack to accept the position of alpha when the current one steps down, wolf shifter and sheriff Eric has zero intentions of doing so, and even less desire to mate with his domineering mother’s choice for him. The moment he catches the scent of the tantalizing human Robin, his wolf knows she’s his mate. However, Robin isn’t forthcoming with information about why she’s running or from whom she’s running.
As the pair strike a fake-mating arrangement, they find it more and more difficult to deny their mutual draw, and what was a charade quickly becomes very real.
Will they overcome the threats to Robin and pack dissension to reach their HEA?
Another fun shifter romance with spice, humor, and the element of danger from the wonderful Honey Phillips. I was fortunate to have received an advance reader copy from booksprout, and I’m sharing my honest review.
This is book 7 in the series, but the first I have read and it is easily enjoyable as a standalone without reading the rest of the series, but I would imagine reading the earlier books and getting to know the town folk would increase the enjoyment. Eric is determined to follow his own path, he feels judged and doubted, but is determined even if his pack think him weak. Robin sees a completely different picture, she sees a strong man and stronger wolf, she points out it takes far more strength to forge your own path than to follow one already paved for you. And that rather than doubting him, his pack respect him for fighting to follow his heart. Can he lower his guard to see the full picture? Both Eric and Robin take a journey of self discovery when they make their pact, Robin has to learn to trust and to follow her heart and Eric removes his blinkers and regains his trust in the pack. This is a steamy book, yet sweet too, Robin surprises everyone...including herself and they find a bond stronger than any they could have imagined. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
I've been a Fairhaven Falls fan since it began 10 books and counting.
A Weeding for the Werewolf is book 10, starring Robin whose running away from her past and straight to Fairhaven Falls as she answers a help wanted ad for a grumblely gargoyle. There's magical mischief the moment she steps off the bus and right into the hans of Flora our magical matchmaking resident. It doesn't take very long for Robin to also run into Eric, Fairhaven Falls werewolf sheriff.
Flora: "“Did someone mention our delicious sheriff? I do like a man with big—” “Flora!” “Shoulders,” Flora continued innocently."
This series has you wanting to visit your very own magical small town, where everyone knows everybody and their business. We have plenty of character crossovers which I adore in a series as well as new introductions to hopeful new characters to be touched by Flora's magic. You're going to love Flora and her meddling ways as she pops up everywhere in her various, sparkling tracksuits.
I'm already looking forward to book 11.

Robin, a human on the run, finds herself hiding in Fairhaven Falls. Taking a job with Garrick the gargoyle, she tries to just blend in and hide. Eric, the werewolf sheriff, is intrigued by her, but knows she is in trouble.. With his Pack and mother breathing down his neck to find a mate, he comes up with an idea. He and Robin will pretend to be mates, that protects her, and keeps the Pack of his back. When trouble ratchets up, the town, rallies around them both.
This had a bit of a darker edge, more mystery and danger. I loved the evolution of Robin and Eric's relationship. Robin had a backbone of steel, and even though she was afraid of her ghosts, she fought for her happiness. Eric so loved her strength, courage and love. All he wanted was to keep her safe, protect her and love her.
The other characters were such fun. Flora with her matchmaking, Garrick the friendly gargoyle and all the other shop owners who welcome Robin. They really bring Fairhaven Falls to life. This wonderful, quirky little town.
Eric and Robin Honey Phillips can writes sweet romantic stories with a twist of a damsel in distress, but find strength with her mate and others of the community standing by to support her. Robin is one of those characters. She framed for a crime she didn't do, hunted by a shady bounty hunter, has a jealous she wolf targeting her, and now future mother-in-law to be put in her place. Eric is the sheriff and her soon to be mate. He not only has to protect Robin, but push against his pack's politics, traditions, and prejudices of humans. Our couple has a lot to over come, but with help and support from other in their community and each other there nothing they can't face togther. I recommend reading this book. There's plenty of drama, danger, action, fated mates, steam, a town full of wonderful characters interesting and wonderful characters and HEA.

Ugh. Dropped at 76%. This started off so well. I don't love fake dating but the way it was done in this was tolerable. I liked Eric a lot and Robin was ok. Below are the 3 things that made me drop this installment even though I was almost done.
1. After talking to Robin for 5 seconds Eric's mother does a 180 and decides that she is going to accept everything she has disagreed about his life. (Yeah sure) 2. Robin being a virgin. I'm not sure why this didn't work for me but it just didn't. 3. Robin randomly flips out because Eric checked and verified that there aren't arrest warrants out for her. How in the world is that a bad thing? That felt like a manufactured fight to create drama and push Robin out to visit the mysterious forest orc who I'm sure will be the main character in a future book.
I think I need to stop trying to read these. The negatives are far outweighing the positives.
I love this series. And especially when Flora is matchmaking. She has her eyes set on Eric this time. I love how even though he doesn't really know Robin he is protective of her. She does have secrets and they do complicate things a bit. I liked his reasoning for the "fake" relationship. I also loved his nickname for Robin. It suited her to a T. I also liked the way she won over Eric's mother. Some one described this as being hugged and I wholeheartedly agree to that. The chemistry is off the charts. Action and suspense throughout. Steam to the eventual romance and of course with each of the couple's Flora works on the perfect HEA. Well written, with just the right amount of humor to make things interesting. I also liked the introduction to the next to get in Flora sights. I received a free copy from the author via Bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review .
Having come across Honey’s books fairly recently, this my first Fairhaven Falls book but it won’t be my last. Robin, framed for her ex-boss’s fraudulent activities is on the run from a bounty hunter not adverse to using excessive force. Sheriff Eric is tired of his mother’s and pack’s interference in his lack of mate so being strongly drawn towards Robin proposes that they pretend to be mates to offer her protection and to get his pack off his back. I just loved how patient and protective Eric was of Robin, even when she was all for him continuing amorous activities, he made sure she would have no regrets. I also loved the town rallying behind Robin and when the pack recognised Robin as one of them. I’m glad that Lila left town! Also hilarious, the girls’ night – will definitely go back and read the previous stories. 4.5 stars
I absolutely adore the Fairhaven Falls series and have thoroughly enjoyed every book, character and storyline until this one.
Robin is running from her past, haunted and hunted. Eric is the sheriff trying to prove to his family and his pack that going his own way is not some kind of disrespect to traditional werewolf values.
All that seemed right up my alley. But Robin's character I found flat, I didn't really like her much and never warned up to her. Eric I liked from previous books, and although I enjoyed his Arc in the story, the instalove fell flat for me. I don' mind instalove and this series has tones of it. But this story just had something missing.
That said this book absolutely did not put me off on reading on in the series. I adore this town and love taking little mental walks around in it in every story. This one was just a miss for me.
This was another really fun book in the Fairhaven Falls series of connected standalone romances set in the small town of Fairhaven Falls. I enjoyed getting to know both Eric and Robin in this story and seeing how everything came together for the two of them. Flora was also as fun as always and I look forward to reading the next book Bidding on the Orc Outcast about Posy and Varek.

I truly love this series. It is a very cozy monster series that is full of amazing characters and a sweet little town that feels like home. So this book continues that amazing theme. In this one we have Robin who is running and trying to find somewhere safe to be. And you have Eric, the sweet protective werewolf sheriff who catches her scent and is very intrigued by this woman. He knows she is hiding from something and just wants to help. Their story is super sweet with just the right amount of steam. As Robin learns to trust again and Eric learns that strength comes in different ways, they grow closer and their love is just so great to see. Loved the whole book! Completely recommend! I did receive an ARC from Booksprout and this is my honest opinion.
Flora is up to her tricks again and this times she’s got her eye on the the sheriff and a new face in town. Eric Grayson is the werewolf sheriff in Fairhaven Falls, and it’s a job he is good at and loves. Too bad his mother is determined that he follow in his father’s footsteps as Alpha and mates with an “acceptable” female. The only female who has sparked any interest is the new arrival in town. Robin Halloway put her trust in the wrong person and now he’s sent a bounty hunter after her. She just wants a peaceful life, with friends and hopefully, a family some day. When she meets the sheriff, she feels something like an electrical current. But can she trust him?
What a lovely story of acceptance and happiness !!! . In this book Eric the Sherrif gets his turn. Robin is running away from the complications that have come from her job. She has found another job , here in Fairhaven Falls. She doesn't have a whole lot, and doesn't know anyone here. But that doesn't stop these wonderful people from embracing her. As soon as sherrif Eric scents her, he knows what's going to happen. But he has the feeling that she will rum if he comes on too strong. But , especially once Flo gets involved, things just kind of happen !!! This book was all kinds of sweet and it just makes me want to visit this town for real !!
Another Fairhaven Falls fantastic read! Robin is on the run and doesn’t know she will soon make this her forever home. Eric, the werewolf sheriff, is there to protect her and is a total cinnamon roll. As danger nears and Eric is dodging his mother’s attempts at match making, they strike a bargain that will change their lives. They are perfect together and Robin is stronger than she realizes, especially with the support of the town.

This is Eric and Robin's story and I loved it. Robin is on the run from a really nasty piece of work, with a bounty hunter on her tail. Eric is the Sheriff of Fairhaven Falls and as soon as he meets Robin all bets are off. There is a sweetness to this story that left me feeling hugged. It has action, romance and steam. It also has Flora! I love Flora and her matchmaking ways, she always makes me laugh. I also love getting to say hi to characters from previous books. Honey Phillips has a magic touch and is ALWAYS worth reading. Her book is filled with humor, action and small town feels. She is 1-click every time.
Eric has been in a few of the other books and it was lovely for him to finally get his own story. He is constantly on the end of the pack's matchmaking and honestly has just about had enough. There does seem to be a win-win option for him though in the shape of Robin. She smells divine and he is already feeling protective of her. Robin is on the run and while she might like the grumpy Sheriff she needs to keep her secrets close to her chest. Pretending to be mates might just work for them both but is it really fake? There is something about Honey's writing that just somehow makes all these wonderful characters feel so real.
I always enjoy Honey Phillips’ books. They are fun, super steamy and make me not want to stop reading (even when I should for work, sleep or mom-duties). This story is no different. I enjoyed getting to know the characters. Honey does a great job of developing them. Robin is scared & running from her evil former boss. Eric is a typical werewolf with how he protects & is intuitive of her feelings, but also is careful to not overwhelm her. We get a satisfying HEA at the end. I look forward to the next book in the series.

Fairhaven Falls is a great place to be! They’re back - all those fascinating souls in Fairhaven Falls! Robin arrives in a boatload of trouble, and falls right into the arms of Eric, the hunky sheriff. Now what? It’s a fascinating story with instant attraction, problems to overcome, and a sweet romance. Of course Flora is there, doing her best to nudge people in the right direction. I love her! Not only that, there are other characters I find interesting for whom I’d love to see a story. Ms. Phillips? Please?
Oh I love a good damsel in distress found by the big growly alpha sheriff story.
Robin is on the run and Fiona (my favorite fairy godmother) helps her find a new safe place. The sheriff is smitten following her around like a protective wolf. Together they create enough heat to melt/thaw anyone’s winter cold.
Garrick the gargoyle (who needs to be on Fiona’s list!!) gives her a job, and is a male I want to know better. Although Varek, the super secret Orc, we first met in “Fireworks for my Dragon Boss” showed up a little more in this book and is super interesting too.
Robin arrives on a bus, terrified and constantly checking behind her. She's been followed for so long and hopes this town will allow her to hide. She's offered a job as a live-in housekeeper. Perfect. Eric is the sheriff and instantly is attracted to Robin's scent. Maybe she can help with his problems with his mother and pack trying to get him mated. But danger is never far away. Honey weaves her plot twists beautifully with terror, attraction, manipulative people, and steam. A great read in this series, and I'm looking forward to many more
On the run with her last few dollars and going to a live in job to stay off the grid. The Sheriff can smell her a mile away that she is intriguing and his. She has a part and she need refuge and she is hoping this small town does the trick. Paranormal of all walk and then some. Shadows have shadows and a villain or three. A determined sheriff will fake it to she makes the choice to be his. Or is the next bus out of town the answer? Good read.

Robin and Eric ;she is scared and on the run ,he is trying so hard not to follow the antiquated norms of his pack but once they meet things just seem to fall into place.little by little she starts to trust and regains her confidence with Eric’s help. His wolf knows she is the one but he takes it slowly to win her Love. She also has Flora and a protective Gargoyle Boss on her side and new Friends (old friends to us) I personally LOVED this book (as I have all the others) and can’t wait for more ❤️
I devoured the newest book in the Fairhaven Falls series. It is such a sweet story of love and finding your place in the world. I always love seeing the cameos of characters from previous books as well and the hints about upcoming stories. If you have not made a visit to Fairhaven Falls, you are missing out. Start at the beginning or start with this book, but either way, add this series to your TBR today.
