Lyla Hamilton doesn’t have time for love; her only focus is her career at the local hospital. From a prominent family, she works hard to prove herself and find a deeper meaning outside the family name that has haunted her since birth.
Noah Kingsley enters the hospital at the edge of death, but a voice pulls him from the darkness. His brother, Elias, wants nothing more than his brother to come out of his tragedy unscathed, but he finds himself drawn to the beautiful nurse.
Caught between them, Lyla faces the tough choice of duty to her job and the pull she feels toward each man. Can she survive from being drawn to them? If she can, which will she choose?
Piper lives in East Tennessee with her husband, two children, and their dog, Denver. She enjoys reading, horror movies, and occasionally binging television procedural dramas. My only complaint is that it is not long enough! Such a cute and sweet little novella, worth the buy and the read. As always piper did amazing with the funny and cute little banter between characters throughout the book.
Such a cute light hearted romance book about a love triangle between Noah, his brother Elias, and Lyla. I had complete head to body chills when Noah woke from his drug induced coma thinking that when he was under that Lyla was asking him to come back to her and his family. Then she started dating his brother Elias and Noah started treating her horribly because he wanted her but his brother had her instead. I gave this book 5 stars because I too know what it’s like being an over worked and under staffed hospital worker, so I can relate. Elias and Lyla break up because she had kissed Noah. Now it’s a year later and Elias pretty much knew all along that Lyla and Noah had feelings for each other through shared glances and has no opposing thoughts on the two starting something.
I can definitely relate to this book in a way that the parents made her feel like the black sheep for choosing a career that was not of their family business.
This book truly captivated me! The complex love triangle had me feeling all sorts of emotions I could relate to, and I found myself rooting for Lyla as she faced such difficult choices. The surprises along the way kept my heart racing, and I couldn't bring myself to put it down so I binged it—I just had to know what would happen next can you blame me! Piper has a wonderful gift for engaging her readers, and with every new release, I feel even more drawn into her world. I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to immerse themselves in this beautiful and exhilarating journey! Trust me read all of pipers books you won’t be disappointed she’s a true talent!
This was such a cute quick read. Lyla is a nurse, Noah and Elias are brothers. Noah is in the hospital from severe injuries, in an induced coma. Lyla sits with him , holding his hand, telling him to come back to them, everyday. Elias, is starting to have feelings towards Lyla, they start to spend a lot of time together. One day while Lyla is sitting with Noah, he opens his eyes and is searching for that voice that kept telling him to come back….
I absolutely loved this book, The love triangle and the twists and turns on trying to figure out who Lyla would end up with was great. I loved the story line and wanting to know what happened next was great. i can’t wait to see where the store goes from here. Piper knows how to captivate an audience and every book just gets better and better.
I absolutely loved this read, the whitty banter that was going on between the characters was brilliant, I couldn't put the book down. It kept me entertained and engaged. I must say that I wanted to know what happens next .This is definitely a good book to read to get you back into reading or if you need a pallet cleanser.. there's no spice but it does tease you . Definitely recommend this book .
The love triangle was obvious from the start, did she even like Elias at all? And the writing was so immature and too many grammer and spelling errors it gnawed at me. I am so glad it was short otherwise I wouldn't have finished it.
This was such a cute story. I can see why it was a love triangle. I was having a hard time wondering who she would pick. This is another fast read that would be good in between long reads
I met this author at a book con in Knoxville, and she was so nice and genuine that I had to purchase one of her books. This was very cute. It's a very sweet, quick read. Definitely worth it.
