First day of school jitters? Yeti knows all about that! She's not ready for her first day of school either. This colorful picture book gently reminds readers that it’s normal to be nervous when we try new things.
It's almost the first day of monster school, but Yeti is NOT ready. Even though she has practiced her stomp, perfected her growl, and filed her fangs. . . her stomach is still full of fire-breathing moths! Can Yeti survive her first day? Or will she find a way to stay home instead?
With a gentle reminder from dad that Yeti may not be the only nervous new student, Yeti Is Not Ready for School is the perfect read to help assuage pre-first day anxieties.

Yeti Is Not Ready for School is a great book for children who might be feeling the jitters about going to school for the first time. The illustrations are kid-friendly, and Yeti is a relatable character for kids, and through her, I feel they'll be able to recognize emotions they may be feeling about going to school for the first time, or going back to school.
Such a cute story about getting ready for the first day of school! Yeti is such a sweet character and her frustrations about the first of the school are totally relatable. Love the witty writing and cute and fun illustrations. Highly recommended! Love Leigh Anne Carter’s amazing work!
