About

I'm Amanda Kay, a married mother of two. I have a degree in Multimedia Journalism with a minor in Political Science. Writing has always been a way for me to release the stress of everyday life. After a while I decided I wanted to share my stories, but I wanted them to be affordable for all so after some careful consideration I decided that my E-books would always be just $0.99 cents (USD).

Mission

My mission is to hopefully give readers a voice. As a teacher and mother of two I see the struggles teenagers and young adults face every day and I hope my stories can be something they can get lost in, but also find hope in.

Vision

My vision is to inspire every day. Not only through my writing, but also in how I carry myself and interact with people on a daily basis whether in person or online.

Some Facts:

1. This was the second book I ever wrote
2. I did self-publish it once before for family and friends
3. I reedited and am offering it as a gift for hitting 2k LIKES on Facebook.
4. I never intended to republish this. I never imagined I would miss Kylie and Derek but I did.

5. I will try to offer for free for a few days after that it will be $0.99cents with free sales every so often.

Wow, a what a great story,

Amanda Kay does an excellent job weaving a love story from the past in with a present love story. Kylie is engaged to Derek but is having reservations,
he is away on a mission overseas and she receives a letter in the mail with a key to a house that he brought before he left much to her surprise.
While exploring the house she finds the initials K & D and Heart carved in wood near a swing. She wonders what this means and then finds letters
written by people who use to live in the house at one time Kaylie and David. Kylie is draw to their love story as it mirrors her's and Derek's - Will she follow Kaylie's road and leave or will true love win out in the end.

I will definitely be reading more from this author - I already have 2 more of her books and can't wait to get started on them

This novella was written as a thank you by Amanda Kay to her fans. She is such a sweet woman! This is a timeless story, literally and figuratively. I'm not sure if it is 2 souls bound to be together, the house that holds the memories of love and loss or the current couple who are experiencing love and doubt all at the same time. It is normal to be weary before making a big life choice, like let's say, getting married, but which way do you choose? Do you leave your love to experience the world and other adventures or do you stay with the other half of your heart and work through the doubts together? Experience the world together? This is that story. 210 pages of love, some sadness and a situation we can all relate to. Love this book. 5 Stars.

This book is a short read and it's so sweet. We see how sometime history repeats itself but with some amazing advice from an unlikely source we can change the outcome for something so much more amazing so here's some love to K&D 1941. And to Kylie and Derek that your home my be filled with love and when in doubt swing it out! I love this short read and once you read it you will understand why I said swing it out.

Past & Present Collide is a sweet love story. Although I was confused at first I liked it once I had it figured out. I thought at first that it was going to be about reincarnation and them being together after so long but it wasn't and I loved that it was two different couples just going through the same thoughts.

Cute love story, however I was confused at times because the characters from the past and presents names where so similar although I understand why the author did that so that the initials on the porch would be the same. The book was short and more of a novella. I would guess that this was the authors first book and would like to read more of her work.

Short quick read but filled with so much emotion. Starts out in the past then jumps to the future. Then puts it all together.

I love how this story collides both love lives of two couples facing the same problems. Kylie and Derek have been together and plan on getting married soon. Just like the couple that lived there before, Kaylie and David. Kylie is having doubts and she doesn't know what to do. Derek is deployed and he doesn't know how to get her to understand how much he loves her. This is such a sweet book. I loved it.

A sweet short story on true love and what is really important. The story of 2 couples about to get married in different eras, but only 1 doing what the other could not. Very sweet.

The Past and Present Collide had me crying from the start. Heart breaking; at least in the beginning. But that last chapter was happy tears. This book is amazing but I will say grab a box of tissue….really soft ones because you are going to be wiping your eyes a lot just so you can keep reading. Amanda has done it again with another great book!
