He studied creative writing at both College and University.

I quite enjoyed this book. It's dark, pretty much from start to finish and quite violent and graphic too so if that's not your thing this won't be for you. I liked the fact Jack stayed the same from start to finish, he's not a nice man but he does have a heart. Selena irritated the hell out of me, i struggled to like her through out the book where as Jack, i loved from the start. If you like a dark, graphic romance then this is the book for you. Definitely not what i was expecting.

Wow! I'm still processing what I just read. This book was dark, brutal, twisted and very graphic. I'm stingy with 5 star reviews but any time a book makes me feel so many emotions, no matter what they are, it deserves 5 stars. The book opens with a scene out of anyone's nightmare. I can't even really discuss the book without giving away too many details. I was, at times, completely uncomfortable and horrified by what I was reading. Watching Jack and Selena was painful at times. People do stupid things to hurt the ones they love the most all the time. Coming back from the hurt and broken trust is an arduous journey. You have good people who do bad things. The lines between right and wrong are blurred. Watching Selena and Jack overcome the hurts and other heinous things that came their way was an emotional roller coaster ride that, for me, made this book worth every star it got.

A friend recommended this book to me and I was not disappointed. I gave this book a solid four star rating due to the dark and twisted plot and the character growth throughout. Although I had difficulty connecting with Selena, I had no such problem falling for Jack. He is the star of this book and he is HOT! I will warn you that if you find sexual abuse offensive, then this is not the book for you.

These two are put through the ringer together and ultimately come out of it as better people than they were to start with. I found Selena's character a tad obnoxious but Jack's stoic demeanor and forgiving nature more than made up for her shortcomings. All in all this is a great dark erotic romance.

I really didn't know what to expect going into this book, I got it on sale because the synopsis caught my eye. There were some things in this book that were a tad much for me in regards to scenes with the Fat Man seriously the guy fixated on some nasty shit...I really liked the story and the writing style even though that kind of got to me in one scene in particular.

The only thing I really didn't like about this book was Selena, I really felt like Jack deserved better than her after what she had done. I just had a hard time caring about her or her predicament after I found out what she had done to him. I didn't need to know why, it happening was enough to make me hate her because I really loved Jack.

In the end though I guess I got over it, I still didn't like her or forgive her but I was happy with the ending. I would love to see more about these two and wouldn't mind seeing more about Nicky.

The storyline is very dark; Drugs, Forgiveness, Graphic Violence, Human Trafficking, Love, Organized Crime, Rape, Sexual Violence and Torture rolled up in one twisted book. If any of these topics are triggers or you're sensitive to, be warned this is not for you. Okay, Fat Man - is one sick frickin sadistic Bastard! Jack - pure alpha male hotness but he could have punished Selena more, just saying! Because she definitely deserved it with her annoying ungrateful ass. If I was her, I'd be bowing down to Jack. This book was one genuinely disturbing twisted story. Nathan L. Flamank, definitely delivers a very well written dark erotica.

I liked the story of this book, despite it being quite a harsh subject. However, I would've liked more of a background on the characters. I found that I didn't really get attached to them as much as I would've liked to and I'd have probably been rooting for them more had we been told about their previous encounters. Also, the book maybe needs a little editing as there were a few words that were wrong and the sentence structure was annoyingly repetitive, ie, Selena did this. Selena then did that, etc etc. But I'm looking forward to reading other novels by this author.

I could not stop reading this story (obviously since I started and finished the same day!!)! The suspense, the drama, the sex!! H-O-T!! Mr. Flamank has once again introduced his readers to a couple to fall in love with! And, it wouldn't kill me if their story went further...(hint, hint Nathan...

A solid 4.5 stars. The only thing I would have liked to have known is why she cheated on him in the first place but it doesn't really matter one way or the other just a personal question. Was a great mix of dom, violence, revenge and getting back what you want or felt was yours.
