Infection Day

A true screen swiper AKA page turner ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
-Reader

Echoes of Book

It begins without warning.

One moment, the world is normal. The next, it is tearing itself apart.

When a sudden and violent infection sweeps through the population, emergency services collapse within hours. Supermarkets become killing grounds. Streets turn into traps. The rules that kept society together vanish overnight.

Caught at the epicentre of the outbreak, ordinary people are forced to make impossible decisions just to survive the first day. There are no safe zones. No clear answers. Only confusion, fear, and the growing realisation that this is not a temporary crisis.

This is not the end of the world.

It is the beginning.

Infection Day is the opening chapter of Echoes of Decay, a relentless post-apocalyptic survival series that explores how fast civilisation falls and what people are willing to do when it does.

I really enjoyed this book and will read the rest of the series, but the lack of editing is appalling.
I marked up around 25 incorrectly used or spelt words before I lost the will. I only carried on because it is a very good story with engaging characters.
It might just be because I'm an old git but things like this annoy me because I think it's lazy writing

What a great start to a series

Great characters, nice to have another series set in the UK, looking forward to reading them all. As a fan of The Undead series, I have struggled to find another author who makes their characters come to life, thank you for being able to do this too. Squaddie humour at its best.

Requires editing and spellcheck

Decent enough story but way too many spelling and grammatical errors, even just the use of a basic spellcheck would have improved this book!
