Loved this, just so yummy. Lazaro and Celeste are a wonderful couple. It's not explained in great detail but she's from a crime family and he's in "the business" and they went through quite a bit to be together. Lazaro will, and has, kill anyone who would harm her. I love stories with these types of characters.
Celeste has full sexual agency. She knows what she wants and what she doesn't want. For example one day when he tries some anal activity without discussing it with her first, she shuts him down and smacks him. Sex is important to them, but so is complete honesty and consent. So after Celeste is intimately tattooed by a mutual friend Maddox, she makes Lazaro a deal. She's play anal games with him if he lets Maddox do it to him first. It's not an ultimatum. She won't love Lazaro any less if he says no. But she wants Maddox and senses Lazaro does too. Maddox, of course, has wanted both of them for quite some time.
I've grown weary of the PWP stories, but loved this because the sex was the plot. The three of them are wonderfully hot together and I could feel the emotional connection between them.
I really wanted so much more of this trio. How they began and how they are years down the line. It pushed all my buttons in the right way. Definitely an author I'll need to check out again.

Although this is a novella, the author has managed to give us a good background story of two people who are deeply in love. But does that mean you can only love one person? This story answers that question, at least for these characters. With real love, we must have trust and faith in each other. This story tells us of that kind of love and the desires of one of them to share what they have with another. She senses that there is an attraction, an unspoken bound, one never acted upon but still there, between her lover and a close friend. Someone she is also attracted to and whom she knows has "feelings" for. I don't like doing spoilers so this is all I'm giving. I recommend this book to all who believe that romance and sex, together with trust, can be a magnificent thing for all. So get the book and come along for a sexy and exciting ride to love, or will it be a disaster.

This is a short story about 35 pages and a small little snippet of the book in the second skin series called a Mad Dog. This is an incredibly saucy seems that as you can see from my review about the original book it’s very heated. Listening to an audiobook with it at the moment and wow the person that’s doing the narration is incredible.
Second Skin
Maddox (Mad Dog) is a ex navy now a tattoo artist in a rough area of LA that is run by cartels.
Papa Flores runs the world surrounding Maddox and his family but he hasn’t been messed up with him since he was a kid.
Celeste is the daughter of papa Flores and runs his properties. After papa Flores hurts a love interest for getting too close she can’t let herself get too close to Leo one of her bodyguards.
I won’t lie I wasn’t sure I’d 100% love this like all her other book but I should have trust in the queen of dragons to deliver me a amazing book.
This is heavily based around the American-Mexican cartel which I don’t know much about other then what I’ve watched in movies so it’s nice to see this family and loyalty side but still with the gritty stuff.
Absolutely loved this and can not wait till next book.
This is first book in a long time that’s kept me awake and when I did go to sleep I woke up in night desperate to carry on.

May 3, 2024After reading the entire series I went back for this last little morsel of the universe, only to put it down faster than it took for me to pick it up. This was an immediate DNF for me at the 6% mark because if there is one thing that I am not a fan off it’s characters who punish their partners out of petty jealousies. I’ve also had to put down other Ophelia Bell books before which is why I pulled the plug on this read so quickly, I’ve learned my lesson with this author and my emotions jajajaj for that alone I am sticking to a review without a star rating.
On a side note, I very much look forward to Wyatt/Nina/Longo’s story so I hope that it comes out soon…

Ms. Bell has quite a way with story telling! She packs quite the punch in just a compact story! This story was super hot and left me wanting more of this threesome!

Not much backstory, but a good story. It is basically one night with both men and acknowledging their feelings. If you want a ménage without much character development then this is worth it.

Character build is excellent for the length of the book. I would like to know more about Maddox, there is so much more to him I'm so very sure.

Okay, this story makes me think that maybe I should go get a tattoo. :) A couple who explore their fantasies by adding Maddox to their bed, was very erotic. I enjoyed this short story which was very well executed in a way that allowed me to fully imagine the scene. Very tantalizing.
