I loved "Lying in Plain Sight"! The whole series kept my attention the whole way through, and I had a hard time putting all the books down! This last book in the series finally solves the mystery. I had guesses as to what was going to happen, but none of my guesses were even close to the truth! I enjoyed the first person point of view and how the book tells the story from each of the main characters' perspective. I highly recommend all of the books in the series. I look forward to reading more books by the authors.
A pretty perfect ending to a wonderful series. I have thoroughly enjoyed each one of these books. One of the twists towards the end was something I kind of saw coming but the explanation was spot on. The other twist I guess you would call it didn't, and again it was done masterfully. Will definitely be looking for the new series when it starts.
I received this as an ARC through story origin and I'm leaving a honest review.
I read the entire 5 book series in 5 days. The cliffhangers at the end of each book, had me wanting and needing more. I would immediately start the next book. Great series, with a few issues ( typos, wrong word usage ex "Sunday" instead of sundae. Highly recommend the whole series.
Okay - I’ve read all 5 books and I must say I enjoyed the entire series. I just wish they had hired me as a proofreader. There were so many mistakes. It didn’t stop me from reading though.
Just finished the last book of moms who lie series. This series will keep you up all night reading with the need to know what happens next. Each and every one the plot thickens but I wasn't fully prepared for all the twist and turns in this last one. Highly recommend!
Lying in Plain Sight is the fifth and final book in the Moms Who Lie series. The book continues the lives of the Carpenters, Baileys, Halls and various others.
The search continues for the stalker that is terrorizing the teens. The question is, is Carson dead or is he behind these acts of malice? The families continue to search for answers. Will they ever be able to rest in the knowledge that the person behind all of these awful situations is really gone?
This was an excellent series. Well written, great pace and well described and developed characters.
I read every book and looked forward to the next one in the series.
The ending tied everything together as all of the answers came to light.
I highly recommend this series.
I look forward to more books by Brett Monk and McKenna Langford. I would like to thank them and the publisher for the pleasure of reading and reviewing an advanced copy of this wonderful book.
I so badly wanted to give this five stars. I absolutely loved the storyline. First, it was difficult to run across so many editing/grammar errors throughout the entire series. It wasn’t just a couple of times. It was consistently throughout all of the books. It broke up the flow for me. I might be being picky, but I know many others are the same way.
The storyline itself was so detailed and intricate. I was honestly hoping for a much more interesting and complicated ending. I had it pegged from the first book, but I was hoping I was wrong. The series was set up so beautifully for so many different outcomes, but it ended pretty cut and dry. I enjoyed learning and “watching” the characters grow and evolve, however I’m also a bit bitter that my favorite character got killed off. It was such a good storyline - it’s rare that I can stay interested through a full series. I just wanted MORE. More connection between all of the characters, especially Sidney and Joey.

Lying In Plain Sight: An addictive psychological suspense thriller (Moms Who Lie #5), my fifth read from authors Brett Monk & McKenna Langford and the concluding work of their Moms Who Lie series. An entertaining, enjoyable, and suspenseful read that I had to wait almost a year to get to read. You know those horror movies that have sequel after sequel, think Scream? These books resemble the plot lines of them though you still have to read them to see how they’ll turn out. “I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. I'll definitely be reading more from these authors. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).
Zoinks! This was the slowest-moving series I've ever read! Honestly it was just really repetitive and could have been a single book instead of beating the story to death. It could also have been edited, that would have been cool.
Also this seems to have been written by/for about a junior high level. The phrasing and general writing style is quite juvenile sounding and they make kissing sound downright pornographic. It's... a little weird.
Except for needing better proofreading, these tales were well-written and had interesting characters. I got pretty tired of the continuing drama and angst, so skimmed the last 3 or 4 books. We sort of guessed the dead had come alive, but I absolutely did not guess whodunit!
