There's so many nuggets of gold in this book, it's hard to say it's bad, and the introduction by Benedikt is worth reading by anyone serious about the prose poem; but it's long. And dense. Seriously, I'd love to see this book reprinted (it's that important), but I'd like to see it weeded through some. Despite all the gold in this book, reading it sometimes felt like panning for gold--there's a lot of sand, too.
This is probably the best book there is on prose poetry. A classic intro, with the best definition (and most quoted) of prose poetry there is. Stunning prose poems through and through.
