This was a weird book. First of all it says to be 3 books, it barely is 1 book. It’s written in a weird, bad confusing way. There was nothing sensuous or romantic about it. He was an absolutely dick and she was just plain stupid. If you meet someone like him just run..... And the warning signs..... over 18 only...... gosh it was so boring I would read it to my kids so they will fall a sleep. An absolute waist of time to read it so I didn’t even finish it. A book you will forget about when you’re done. And I don’t even mean once you finished it.
This bills itself as a boxed set of 3 books, but it’s only 15 chapters of moderate length. And while okay for the most part, it’s a stretch to think that the sometimes hot, sometimes cold manner of her lover will improve over time. Right? Relationships cool down, they don’t get better with time. If he treats her like this now, this badly, how much worse will it get? Could be the answer is: A lot!
I am not a fan of series but I think the story is ok so far. What will happen next? There is quite a bit of tension between the two main characters so the story be interesting.
Books One to Three At The Billionaires command Series
This set of books is compelling reading the people who are the centre of the story come to light and I'm hoping that like her last set of books in read this one will be the same
At the Billionaire's Command is the story of a French woman who goes to New York, and catches the interests of a rich man slightly into...OH COME ON!!!
This is the third one. The third 50 Shades clone I've read in one day that:
1) involves a heroine who is living in France, or is French 2) splits the story between France and the US (New York chain bonus!) 3) has very light BDSM play 4) was published in February of 2014
I swear, when I got all of these books, I wasn't expecting them to all be the same story.
But Maki! I hear you protest. They're all different books! They're not the same story.
Yes. Yes, they are.
I mentioned in my review of Boxed Set: Rocked by a Billionaire that I had to start taking notes as I read all of these books, so that I wouldn't mix them up. That wasn't a joke. I seriously had to go back through each book, and take notes on what happened in order to remember which story was which. That's how similar the stories were.
Ugh. What else happened in this book? Where are my notes?
Daniel makes jewelry. His mother's a control freak and an absolute nightmare, and he's got extreme daddy issues. Got it.
I really don't think I need to say anything else about this book. The fact that I had to take notes to differentiate it from two other series I read in the exact same day says enough.
*UPDATE: Wait. Wait a second. The synopsis of this book mentions that it's "the most sensual series since His, Body and Soul"...that's A Possessive Billionaire. Oh my god, were these all competing series somewhere? O____O
Julia is spending six months in New York working and understanding English before returning to France. While working at an exclusive hotel, Daniel is there as a guest for a couple of weeks. He is so demanding but not as a guest but of her time. What does he want from her? From his passport she sees that he is French like her.
I am not sure if it's the writing style or the storyline that bored me to tears but either way, I'm not sure how I made it thru this one! the relationship felt forced and I didn't feel anything for them at all! and as if their relationship wasn't bad enough they throw in this Vincent guy from the plane! I will not be reading anymore of these!
I saw that this book hasn't been given good reviews, but I loved it. A French girl is in America working when she meets this billionaire. He is sexy, but very demanding. She falls for him over time and learns about his family's problems with a estranged father and controlling mother. I don't want to say more for fear of giving up the story for someone else.
