They say home is where the heart is, but if that’s true, then I’m lost because I have no clue where my heart is, anymore. I thought I knew - until I met Maximillian.

I was on my way out of the Capital City before the local vampires could catch on to me and let’s just say if that happened, then this club dancer would be facing her expiration date. And that’s when the famous DJ blew into town - and into my head and heart. He turned all my plans upside down with his sick friend and his electric blue eyes, damn it.

I should have cut bait and run for my life, but I couldn't abandon someone I could heal - even if it meant the vampires might catch up with me. Besides, Maximillian smelled familiar, like deep forest and pine needles baked in the sun mixed with that chilly snap of running water and the coolness of twilight. Those things have a smell that adds up to a dream.

You can get lost in that kind of dream. It can fill your mind with ideas and notions you have no business thinking or feeling. Dreams like that make it easy to forget the danger you’re in.

Melissa Lummis is absolutely one of my favorite authors of all time and so when I found out that she was doing another novella series, I was all over it! She is so witty and her writing is super clever. Fiamette is from the Love and Light Series which I could not get enough of and so I am so glad that in The Little Flame Series we get to know more about what makes her tick. This is a very fast read and if you are not careful you will be sorely disappointed and sad that it is over. Right now the book is free on Amazon, so grab it and make sure you have the others handy as follow ups. You are going to want them! No waiting for the other two novellas because they are also available now. This was a great plus because I would have not known what to do at the end of this story if I didn't have more. Melissa Lummis and her stories are addicting. There is never disappointment besides that she makes you WAIT at the end to know more, more, more. That's not always a bad thing though because if you aren't wanting more than you didn't love the story enough.

Vampires, werewolves and other supernaturals make this a fantastic and gripping read. Fia is hiding something, but what is it? I guess you will just have to read the novella series to find out!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this novella in exchange for my review. All opinions are my own.

I found a new author, a new (novella) series, and a new heroine to wrap around. Fia was a different kind of supernatural. Her story brings me a new world to expolore. A world filled with various supernatural beings with a story to tell. I have fun with this first quickie read. I was on to the next in no time. I was sad for it to end, but excited for the next chapter to begin and see where it would take me.

Thanks Fia for allowing me in on your world.

I love this cover. It is so beautiful. This book is a great novella. It has everything a paranormal book needs. I love the main character. She is a great heroine and strong female lead. I love her quick wit. I can't say how much I love Fia!! This is a very fast paced read that has a big cliffhanger at the end, so you want to delve into the second book asap! Wonderful Read! Love love it!

So Fia is a dancer who is hiding from something. She is also hiding something. Something that she needs to use vampires for. When they are together she gets this energy that she desperately needs to survive. But now she needs more. Saving someone's life drained her and now she is hoping she can make it to her next stop.
So this is a very short story. It's kind of confusing about what's going on. Fia is not sure what she is or who to trust. She trust max but she doesn't know why. Now there are vampires that she needs to deal with. I am looking forward to figuring things out in the next books.

Nine30 starts out with a vibrant dance party. From the description you can feel the music, lights, and humanity. Then the first vampire shows up. It quickly became apparent that this is a world where supernatural creatures exist, and are known about by the general population. And also that the main character, Fia, is one of them even if she doesn't know what she is.

It is the mystery of the book that really kept me reading, along with the well written descriptions, sexy tension between Fia and Max, and constantly wondering what else is going to go wrong. And a lot goes wrong.

Eagerly looking forward to the next one.

this book is actually very interesting, I wasn't expecting much and was surprised. I got it for free and it is only like 75 pages long. the thing a third book is that it sets up this world and these situations that are interesting and mysterious. it poses all these questions without giving any answers. it makes you have to read the next book. that's where I am right now, my problem is thatbook one was free and book two is 2.99. I have no way of knowing if book two is also 75 pages and I'm not into spending that much for a book that it's that short. maybe some other time.

I give this book four stars instead of five only because... It was too short!! I was heart broken at the end. I like to read books blindly. I know it was supernatural. But had no idea what she is. So Fia has no idea what she is. Lol or at least not completely. She is a healer who needs vampires to bite her so she can charge up her abilities... Including teleportation... Crazy... I know. And she has sparks flying for some hot DJ. I am hooked on this series. Moments of laughter and steam...love love love it

WOW - another new author to me that I was NOT disappointed by -- woohoo!!!

I wasn't sure what this book was about when I was asked to read and review it. But I was drawn in from the very beginning!! I love the way that Melissa goes into such details in her descriptions - from the lights to the music to the way the Fia dances. When Fia zones in the the first vampire, I was wondering exactly was going to happen in this book. I don't write spoilers - but believe me - this is an amazing read!!!! Now I need to move on to the 2nd book in the series.

Love this book, it is fast pace and great characters they are adorable, even though she is on the run for vampires and tries to stay ahead of them, she does stop to help, because she just can't leave someone she can heal. Will that cost her and make the vampires catch up with her? who knows? buy the book and find out! Fair warning though, this book will keep you reading till the end! Enjoy!

For a short story this has definitely hooked me. Already I can't wait to start the next book. Of course a super powerful heroine is going to captivate me. Add in a potential romance and some issues to work out, some mystery and intrigue and you got a great start. I was not expecting it to end so soon.
