Ummm, if a ghost gave me a wedgie..then kicked me ass over ankles off my bed....I'd still be in less shock than I was at the end of this book!! FYI-This is a good thing! Saying anything else would give parts away. Last thing you'd want!
Need to think of what my rating will be. The ending had me scratching my head completely shocked and up until that point it was a 4 to 4 1/2 star book. Ending was abrupt and the ending had me so stumped as it was so unexpected that I kept re-reading to see if I was missing something critical in the story because of a shock that came out of nowhere the last page before the epilogue. Need to think on my review and rating and think about what I want to rate this. The boxed set didn't tell me where Volume 1 ended and Volume 2 began like most boxed sets do. This book was definitely funny at times and had me laughing. I just need time to process if the abrupt ending after the "revelation" will impact my rating or not.
Okay, so OMGoodness this was a hot, and at times, hilarious read. As silly as some of the antics were at times, I could still totally relate to the characters here. Even Addison's brother, Dylan. Overall I really liked the dynamics at play here.
This one has a crazy, totally surprising twist at the end, that I can't believe I didn't catch the clue for it, in the chapter before it's reveal. *Slaps forehead* But it was awesome. Surprised me. And it's what moved this book from a 4 star read to 5 star read for me.
“Until I figure out my whacked-out emotions and reactions, which I suddenly seem to have no control over, I’ve gotta get out of here. It seems a beast has been awoken in me and until I find a way to feed it, it’ll have to be kept caged, away from the public.”
Addison hasn’t been “touched” in over a year. Probably her longest dry spell ever, but with responsibilities and lack of a social life…well, you get the point. Not to mention, two very over-protective guys in her life.
Brady and Dylan on the other hand…well, at least Brady anyway, have no problem in that department. Dylan is too engrossed in his gaming to acknowledge much else. This comes in handy when a business venture presents itself and he can finally become something other than a couch potato. He only needs someone to believe in him. And who better than his sister, and his very best friend.
Usually it’s just playful banter and sarcastic exchanges between the three of them, Brady and Addison (lovingly known as Moe) are just as close to each other as they are to Dylan…only Brady has realized he wants more. Addison isn’t quite sure it would be wise; what if it doesn’t work? Then she has not only lost a relationship, but her best friend.
So, ever the best friend, Brady arranges for Addison to see a doctor…I know, it’s strange but being that he is also a doctor, he openly shows his concern for her health. And not just any doctor either…he makes her appointment with the town Gynecologist. You know, just to make sure everything is okay.
And okay it is…
Dr. Reynolds is hot.
And single.
And wants Addison so much he risks everything when he crosses the line in his office…
Now, she’s torn. Does she want to keep up the fantasy of being a tryst in the doctor’s office with Dr. Reynolds…knowing he wants more? Or does she give in to the man who has been beside her all this time? The one who finally has the guts to approach her as more than a friend?
Problem is, it’s a small town and word gets around…and now she has to choose.
“What? You think you can go in that office whenever you have an itch and no one will be affected? No one will gossip? This is a small town, Moe.” “I’m not talking about it.” I can’t. It was just fun. Dr. Reynolds allowed me to live a fantasy, one that I refuse to regret. “Fine, then answer me one question, and I’ll walk away. You won’t have to worry about dealing with me again.” The thought of him leaving damn near breaks me, but I hold firm. He stands in front of me, wary vulnerability in his eyes. “Tell me the truth. Tell me why, despite our attraction for each other, you won’t let us be happy…Tell me why you’re pushing me away.”
AHHHH!!! This book. This. Book. I had to re-read the ending…twice. It was amazing! I laughed, I swooned, I cursed, I damn near exploded…it was hot and sweet and funny…everything. This is one of those books where two minds came together to plot some evil ish to keep you guessing…BRAVO! I loved every second of it!
DNF With all of the rave reviews this sounded like a really fun book. Unfortunately it didn't work for me AT ALL. Moe was a bit too neurotic. Good grief she exhausted me. The first introduction to Brady totally turned me OFF. Really???
I loved it! I LOVED IT! I wanted to smack the crap out of Addison for at least 90% of the book! Now I just want to go back and read it all again! Ah, it was awesome! Well played...well played!
Addison Porter has a few things she can always rely on: her job as a vet tech, her brother Dylan and their best friend Brady. Ever since they were kids, it's always been the three of them. Even when the two dare devils directed all their dares at her. Dylan has yet again lost his job and is relying on Brady to help pull him back together. Brady, a gorgeous and successful physician in their small town, enjoys his work, his friends and his women. There is always one draped over him or under him. But, when Brady realizes he has feelings for Addison that go beyond their long lasting friendship, and she isn't willing to risk what they always had for a possible failed romance, all bets are off. That's when Addison starts having a hot affair with Dr. Reynolds. However, trying to keep up with the men in her life becomes ever more difficult as her brother immerses himself in a new business venture, Dr. Reynolds wants more from her than a quick tryst in his office and Brady gives her an ultimatum. Brady and Addison's story is funny, pretty perfect in a best friends fall in love kind of way, and has a sexy twist that will hook and sink the romantic in you. I love Angela Graham's Harmony Series and this is the first S.E. Hall book I read. I must say they rock together :)
This was a SPICY read. Wow! It's been days and I'm still fanning myself.
The h and H in this are AMAZING.
It's very entertaining and has a great little somethin' somethin' that I just AIN'T gonna talk about, because it really takes this book to the next level.
If you love a funny, friends-that-should-be lovers story, this is for you.
The H is very possessive of the h and it makes him that much hotter!
Is hard to really write a review without giving a lot away but I loved the twist on this book! By chapter 12-13 I started picking up in small details and figured it out. I liked this fun little book!
It will be challenging to review without revealing any spoilers, but there is definitely a twist that took me by surprise and caused me to immediately re-read this short story upon finishing the last page to see if I could catch it the second time around... First time I've ever immediately re-read! Addison is smart, sassy, hilarious and real! She secretly has the hots for her best friend Brady, but continues to refuse the possibility for fear of ruining what they have. Enter Dr. Reynolds and life as they knew changes for all! Great banter and smokin' hot lovin'!
Had me laughing .. great characters and always frustrated with the choices of Addison AKA "Moe", Dr. Reynolds and Brady. I have to admit the last chapter had me sayin', WTF. I even went back to re-read thinking that I missed something .. turns out I did, but that was the authors' intentions .. totally DID NOT SEE THAT COMING! Way to always keep me on my toes and guessing what will happen next. I can't wait to read another joint authored book by S.E. Hall and Angela Graham!
This set is just simply amazing... I love both of these Authors and all of their work... This book is super steamy and will leave you wanting more.. NO SPOILERS HERE... You will have to read it for yourself.. Just when you thought you wouldn't go there with a DR... SURPRISE! This book will have you Laughing out loud and yes people will ask so dont be afraid to tell them what you're reading!
5stars aren't enough - this book is perfect!!! Strong sassy female, alpha central - anyone for a doctor fantasy - and hilarious is an understatement - what an ending made me want to re read it all again
5 Stars Wow, that was such a nice surprise, I've been having such bad luck with books and this has definitely broken that trend. I absolutely loved the twist at the end, I didn't see it coming, which I have to say was a real treat! I recommend this fun read to everyone.
Super quick read that was definitely worth it. I loved this story in all ways besides the hero being a man whore and the heroine being almost virginal. That shit always grinds my gears. Why oh why is that the case in so many of these book? 🤯
Putting that aside, this book was really funny and just a fun read overall. Would recommend for sure.
I liked Brady but only after about 20% of the book. Two stars were immediately deducted because Brady let some stupid whore of a nurse blow him under a blanket in front of Dylan and then when Addison walked in, he didn't even stop...he freaking finished. I am by no means a prude...Ive totally had sex with people in the room, pretty much a 4 person orgy....but I was completely and utterly grossed out with Brady because it wasn't a consensual setting...Addison never consented to watching that, Dylan I am not sure about b/c it didnt say if he was cool with that going on no more than 2 feet from him. But when Addison walked in to the house, Brady should have excused himself and his whore and finished in a different room. I lost a lot of respect for Brady. And what confused me the most about him was that he said he had always been in love with Addison...When was this. When he was getting his dick sucked in front of her, when he screwed nurse at her work or was it when he screwed the gym rat with her knowledge. If you're in love with someone, there is no doubt in my mind that you would hide your whorish was and try and make them see you in a better light. Or at least have some class with how you conduct those trysts. I just couldn't believe that he "loved her all that time". Now, if it was...I didn't realized I loved you, or this just came out of the blue kind of love...ok...maybe a bit more lovable. I did like how serious he got about wanting her an perusing her once he realized how he felt. Very sweet and very honest...I liked it. Anyway...onto the next thing that pissed me off. The whole thing about him being her doctor but making it seem like her doctor was someone different she was having feelings for...I mean I had that one pegged right from the beginning. BUT....it wasn't believable. No self respecting woman would let her best guy friend be her Gyno...and in the book she said the next Gyno was 30 mins away and it was too far....are you kidding me...that is not far at all. My ass would have been driving, walking, shit even running to avoid that weirdness and fuck even a conflict of interest for the good doctor himself. I have a guy that I have been friends with forever and there have never been anything but plutonic love...and I still would never go to him as my doctor...hell, even if my best girl friend was a Gyno....there needs to be a line drawn somewhere. I dunno....I just read this book as fast as possible due to the whorishness of Brady in the beginning and then the whole best friend Gyno visits turned foreplay sessions.....I just couldn't get into it.
ok minority here, not my cuppa. And not because of the ending which wasn't a real surprise to me, but because of the h.
I like the H to a certain extend. I am not sure why he is such a man ho to begin with and that had me baffled and a bit turned off to e honest, especially with so many little scenes, though he really is a sweetheart once he gets down to business. My grumble is he let the h off the hook way too easily.
The h, I just have no clue what is up with her. I do not understand why she got a thrill at the doc office to begin with. While I understand her hesitancy given the situation, I do not understand how she can get all schizophrenic and think one way works yet not the other. I understand this is the necessary outcome for there to be a surprise twist at the end, yet it really makes me think she lives inside her head and is a bit mental. By the 70% mark of the book, she is just a mean and self centered horny bitch to me, with no consideration at all of all the things she had done to hurt others. Seriously, her actions not only hurt our H, but others as well. Heavy flirting with some innocent bystander just to get back at H whom she had rejected? Then not greeting a brother that is having the most important night of his life immediately just because she is petty and jealous? To top that off, ignoring her parents' concern because she is jealous, which again she has no right to be? childish much? Total turn off.
The ending sort of make things better but I was really not into it by then.

This was not the first SE Hall book I have read so I knew I was in for a fun ride. I haven't read any of Angela Graham's books but I will for sure be adding them to my TBR. The combo of the two authors was awesome. This is going to be spoiler free, I try that anyway but this even more.
Addison is an independent woman that doesn't have many friends but what she does have is an older brother and his best friend Brady. Which is also her best friend. These three do everything together and hasn't looked at Brady as anything else since she was a little girl...but she is now a woman with needs. She doesn't want to go there and ruin a friendship.
When Addison goes to see the Doctor for her annual check-up she is feeling something inside her stirring. She has to know if he feels the same way. And after a few appointments she gets her answer. It is get sexy...but she wants to keep it fun and casual.
Addison aka Moe has to decide if she wants to risk her friendship with her best friend or have a fling with the hot Doctor or keep the friendship just that and go on with the doctor? You really have no clue to what she will do. This book is hilarious. Addison is was making me laugh and also making me want to slap her. I has been a long time since I just sat and read a book in one sitting....I could not look away. Brilliant!
This is a fun quick read. It is relationship between a guy and girl and her brother. The three are all best friends. Addison aka Moe is the younger sister but she hangs with her brother and his friend Brady all the time. The three have been inseparable. Dr. Reynolds, AKA Brady (story twist) is a bit of a cad that is until he realizes that he actually loves his best friend. So he goes from manwhore to trying to convince Addison that they should be together. The story does end in an HEA. I enjoyed it - it is a quick easy read and you should by the box set because it is cheaper than purchasing book 1 and book 2 separately.
I read this as an ebook. I think it will only take you around 3 hours to get through both.
Enjoy.

I´ve said before many times...I really like it when books are not predictable and take me for a surprise. This one sure did that! I was going for the solid 4 stars, cute story, nice characters, Addison maybe bothered me a little at times, but I did get her reasons for holding back...then we get close to the end and....BAM!!!! Didn´t see that coming! Love it when that happens and for that...5 stars for me for sure!!!
this little gem had been sitting on my Kindle for a little while. Did it ever pack a punch.
This was amazing!! Really heart-felt, funny, sexy, and then ... gut-wrenching, I bawled at one point. So touching. These two authors writing together, can really do no wrong in my eyes. I devoured this in one afternoon.
omg I want my own Dr. Reynolds. This book had me laughing from the start. I loved the chemistry of the characters. I don't want to give to much away but you won't regret this read. scorching!
Oh, so funny! Fun and fast read, I finished in less than 3 hours. A woman's worst nightmare/ fantasy at the gynie and an I'm in love with my best friend situation brought to life in a hilarious, awkward tale. My spoiler: the ending is frustratingly satisfying.
Loved it. I wanted more. I was snorting into my coffee when I was reading this. I really loved Addison. If you want a quick, sexy read, with great banter, this one's for you. I can't really say anymore because it's such a short book, and there is a twist in the end ...
I am not sure what to say that won't include spoilers, so let me just say this, I really loved this book. I loved the characters, I loved the writing style, I loved the plot, and of course the sexy stuff! The authors did a great job and have a new fan here.
