This book was very nice! (If you know what I mean). I always like to read historical fiction just because I am able to picture how life was like during WW2 better.
This book was really ”informative“ even though it sometimes was a bit hard to stay motivated to read this book. That might be because of the writing style or because of the darker ”theme“ of the book, I don’t know.
However, I definitely recommend this book if you like historical fiction!

This book is set in Amsterdam and I read it right after my visit there. I even was in the place where this book is set. A children house in the 1940s while the second world war. The main character Betty works as a Kinderschwester and she and the others care for kids before they and their jewish family members are deported. They not only care for the youngest but manage to free many f those kids by smuggeling them out to people that arent jews.
