Should be one of the worst warning stories for cultural appropriation and justification for racist colonial imperialism but presented in this book as the most amazing and courageous tale of martyrs dying for a righteous cause. I even went to the Whitman memorial near Walla Walla, Washington as a young college student to worship these legends of the "faith"
