Everything comes at a price… When Australian Federal Agent Brandon Munro walked out on his wife without a word of explanation, he had no idea the price would be so high. Alex Cavanaugh’s world fell apart the night Brandon told her their marriage was over. Devastated over his refusal to tell her why and unwilling to keep him by her side out of a sense of duty, she conceals from him her pregnancy. Four years later, Alex has rebuilt her life and has found success as an Australian Federal Agent working in a High Tech Operations team hunting online predators. In conjunction with INTERPOL and the FBI, her team is in pursuit of a pedophile ring that has its origins in Belgium. When Brandon transfers to her Unit, Alex’s life is thrown into turmoil once again. Pitted together in a race to uncover a global ring of online pedophiles, Alex and Brandon are forced to confront each other…and their past. As the pressure mounts, Brandon struggles to deal with his guilt and reconnect with the woman he still loves. Alex lives on tenterhooks that Brandon may discover he has a son. Despite her sound reasons for keeping the child a secret, she fears he will never forgive her once he discovers the extent of her treachery. While both struggle with guilt and forgiveness and the resurgence of love, they are unaware of the predator who stalks close to home…
Predator is about how Brandon could not admit that he had Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and this cause him to separated from the woman he loves Alex. Alex never told Brandon that she had his son so when Brandon transfers into the Child Protection Unit, she was shocked and worried. Entwined with the renew romance between Alex and Brandon was the grooming of young girls on the Internet. The twist in the plot that keeps you turning the pages is who the predator is and the young girl he is training to be his next victim. I recommend this book.
Reality is tough , great read as usual of Chris Taylor’s books , I’m no 1 fan. Takes the hard subjects and gives you a great read . I shed tears , smiles and horror ...this is why I always pre order all her books. In the future. Thanks again. Chris ... great Aussie author. Cheers kerry dunn
Audiobook. This book was about child pornography ring and had sections from the predator's pov. This was extremely hard to listen to at times. As with the other books, the coincidences were a little too unbelievable. Overall an enjoyable read.

The Predator is the third book in the Munro Family Series. However, it is a stand alone book. The Predator focuses on a third brother named Brandon Munro who is an Australian Federal Agent. It also involves his estranged wife Alex, who is also in Law Enforcement. The main focus has to do with their attempts to locate and dismantle a pedophile ring that gets much too close to home. In the middle of all of that, they attempt to find their way back to each other.
After returning from a failed mission in Jakarta four years ago, Brandon abruptly leaves his wife Alex. Now, he has transferred into Alex’s High Tech Operations team so that he can attempt to win her back. Brandon and Alex are still very much in love with each other but it becomes very difficult for them to put the past behind them and rekindle their love while working together. Not to mention the fact that Alex has a secret that she has hidden from Brandon all of these years. There are plenty of sparks that fly between them. Unfortunately, a tragic accident will also test their love for each other.
In regards to the pedophile ring, there is an unlikely connection that will definitely catch you by surprise. The book may have started off a little slow but as the suspense built up, it became hard to put it down. There’s so much that I can’t get into because it would ruin the book so I will just say that there will be several members of the Munro family that will be affected by the pedophile ring. It’s definitely a family affair that I recommend you take part in.
This book started out a little slower than the others in the series but was by no means any less brilliant. The bad guy was a real sicko and made me want to skip chapters that involved him but to do so would lessen the satisfaction of seeing the way things ended for him. Once again I fell in love with the lead characters of Brandon and Alex and as with all other books in the series so far I was hoping they would go on a little longer to see how things progress for them.
She did it again! Reached right out from the pages and grabbed me in by, this time, my heart. While the topic is difficult for some, it's a very real part of today's twisted world. I loved the story, but sure went through my fair share of puffs throughout this book. Thank God and Chris Taylor for happy endings. They aren't always a given, but this one's well-defined, for both the. characters in the book and the reader who shares it with them. Ten thumbs up!
Wow! Another great read from Ms. Taylor. For me, the beginning was a bit slow. But once I hit the 50% mark (give or take a few pages), I could not put this book down!!! Lots of suspense.
Wow!!!! I know this book is fiction, but I also know that child pornography does go on.I have to say that Chris Taylor really delved into the very dark side & opened my eyes to what can happen.I truly am enjoying The Munro Series by Chris Taylor!!!!:)
I love these books and I think this is my fave so far. All her books seem like a combination of a Danielle Steel novel and an episode of "Criminal Minds". The way these two separate story lines were intertwined was masterful. I only gave 4 stars because I could do w/o the graphic sex scenes.
This is the 3rd book in the Munro Family series. Excellent book and series. This is a reread for me. I would recommend this series to anyone who enjoys suspense romance. HEA and no cliffhanger.
I love this author. She does her homework and has combined romance and suspense so successfully. Love this series and will be awaiting the next instalment with baited breath.
