Have you ever wanted the power to decide who the heroine of a story will ultimately end up with?
Now is your chance with Drawn 2 where you have a choice of TWO sequels in which the characters follow TWO different paths to lead them to your chosen 'happily ever after'. This is not two stories told from different points of view. This is not an alternate ending - it's an entirely separate path that readers who choose to read both sequels will appreciate the 'sliding door' moments that set our characters off in a different direction.
Different choices. Different fates.
You hold the power You get to choose - Damien... or Aaron.
In Drawn, we met Etta and watched as her obsessive relationship with Damien sent both of them into world of darkness and self-destruction. We also met Aaron, the constant in Etta's life - the man who was willing to do anything it took to keep her safe.
Two Men. One woman. A decision that will change everything...
That decision is yours...
Three years have passed since Damien lost Etta. His obsessive and irrational behaviour drove her away and destroyed his life.
For three years he has languished in prison. Every day he had but one thought - Etta. She is the holder of his soul and he can't see a life without her in it.
When he is finally released and tracks her down, he is faced with something he didn't expect. His daughter, and Aaron.
Damien needs to redeem himself in the eyes of the woman he loves. He needs to prove to her that he is the kind of man she can build a life with - even if that means telling her all of his secrets and possibly ruining everything for good.

Australian born and bred, she writes New Adult Romance revolving around her authentically Aussie characters with all the quirks you’d expect from those born Down Under. Lilliana feels that the world should see Australia for more than just it's outback and tries to show characters in a city and suburban setting. When she isn't writing, she wears the hat of 'wife and mother' to her husband and four children. Before Lilliana turned to writing, she worked in a variety of industries and studied humanities and communications before transferring to commerce/law at university. Originally from Sydney's Western suburbs, she currently lives a fairly quiet life in suburban Melbourne.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved it. There are 2 sequels to Drawn. Redemption is for team Damien fans (that's me) and Obsession is for the team Aaron fans.
Redemption starts off where Drawn ended. The story is told for 3 POVs. Damien's time in prison is a real healing process for him. While most people would assume you would become more violent and irrational Damien over comes his issues. His cell mate is a lifer who after time confides in Damien of his relationship problems that ultimately lead to his destruction and the death of his wife. As the story hits close to home on his and Etta's relationship this realization begins Damien's journey to making things right. Therapy and medication help him rationalize his anger issues. Aaron is living as Etta's BF and Evie'a father. While they are going through the relationship motions Aaron never feels his love will be enough to heal Etta of her anguish over her relationship with Damien. You really start to feel sorry for Aaron and at times super bitterness towards Etta for using Aaron for as long as she does. He gave up everything for her safety and you never see the gratitude you would expect for such a sacrifice. Etta is trying to cope with life as a mother, healing from her heart ache over Damien and "trying" to make herself love Aaron. Etta has a lot of irrational thoughts and actions and you find yourself at times wishing they'd both tell her to screw off. After a while her and Aaron come to terms that their relationship will never be more than friendship. Aaron moves on with Shay but still tries to be involved for Evie. When Damien is released from prison an unlikely ally leads him toward Etta and his daughter. Things heat up quick. There is that instant chemistry between Etta and Damien. Trust, lies and old relationship drama follow this couple as they try to heal what was broken and find the happiness they can only find with each other. The HEA was perfect ending to a relationship that didn't look like it could make it. Bravo, I absolutely could not put it down! And I can't wait to start Obsession!

Wow! How do you choose your hero? I have always loved Damien and Aaron both. But did I ever think that you could have a choice who your hero was? Hell no! But in this series you can choose who is your hero. Never have I read a series where I could choose who I wanted to have the HEA with. But with the Drawn Series you can. Either Obsession or Redemption. In Drawn I was obsessed with Damien. He was the hot lover that gave you the hottest sex ever. He was Dark and Dangerous. I love Dark and Dangerous and Damien was my man.
In Drawn you read how obsessed Damien and Etta were with each other. How she just couldnt ever get away from him. He had a way with her that she couldnt live without. But she had to make a choice and live without him or she was going to destruct herself. Aaron her really first boyfriend was always there picking up the pieces for her.
In Redemption Etta leaves Damien and he goes crazy destroying his life and everyone around him. Getting in bar fights and hurting people. He goes to prison for 3 years! The whole time in prison he has one goal to get out and go get back his girl. Hes draws pictures of her while hes there and its all he can think about.
In the Meantime Etta leaves town and sets out to start a new life. Aaron again picking up the pieces and helps her to start a new life somewhere no one knows shes at. Aaron and Etta try to make a life together but Damien keeps popping up in Etta's mind and Aaron sees this. Hes torn from the life he has with Etta here but she just cant get Damien out of her mind.
Damien gets out of prison and goes to track Etta down. He finds her plus a a surprise he had no idea he had, a Daughter! He is bound and determined to take back what is his and to when the love of Etta back. He has to win back her trust and her love. Plus he wants to be part of his daughters life.
Will Etta ever trust him and love him again? Will Damien prove to her he can love her without all the dark and dangerous feelings she has towards him? Will he ever get to know his daughter? Which hero will Etta choose? Will it be her everything or will it be with her hero that saves her time and time again, Aaron?
I give this 5+ stars. How can you choose your hero wisely after reading these books. Because to me there is a hero in both books and its the same person. I LOVED THIS STORY!! I couldnt get enough of it and couldnt put it down. You will have to read this because your not gonna know who the real hero is or who your choice is.
If you looking for a happy ending pick this book!!!! I really enjoyed this book, the ending was great, the character development was really great too! Now the reason why I'm giving this 2 stars is because of the author's choice to write two books with different endings.. At first I thought this was going to be great.. But after reading both book I'm mad, and thinking the author was trying to get more money out of the readers. Seriously both books are 75% the exact same events! same conversations, same everything! I was tired and irritated that I had to read the same thing all over again. As you can see I'm a very curious person and could not content myself on reading just one book. So here is my advice do not buy both books!!!! I like the redemption book better but only because I like a happy ending, and I like how in this book everybody got what they wanted in the end.
Spoilers ahead but the fact that theirs a choice of ending kind of negates the spoilers so here goes.... Okay, so I love that Damien gets his HEA. Since I read what happens at the end of Aaron's book I will not be reading it, seriously though, wtf?? My problem with this book is that Etta uses Aaron for years, let's him be a father to a child and then leaves him and moves back home, taking away his daughter whom he loves basically, and breaks his heart all over again. I don't understand how he can walk away from Evie either, I mean that is your daughter that you raised for 2 years!!!! He just gave her up! And Etta was just a selfish B. She hurt everyone involved, so immature. Oh, and the revelation of his job before, are you kidding me, that's not okay, you had a girl you "couldn't breath without" and that's what you do to make money??? Even if your not sleeping with them your watching and talking them through it!!! I was glad he didn't have sex with them at least, but still, if the roles were reversed, would he be cool with it? Exactly! He just had so much shit going on with him, I was glad he got happiness. I am serious that I will not touch the other book with a ten foot pole. Even if it's an alternative end, you don't have to **** him off! Ugh, Aaron got a HEA in this book too so why couldn't things be the same for Damien in the other book? I know it's because he was obsessed with her, I don't want to see him with anyone else either, but have him be alone, working on himself and spending time with Evie. Geez, well anyway, I love this book for its nice happy ending FOR EVERYONE! The 3 stars was for, as the title states, Redemption. But Etta's drama was the subtraction of the other stars and the fact that Aaron just let his little girl, that he loved so much, go so easy. Do you know any father who would do that? Blood or not? Exactly.
When I have a Lilliana Anderson book in my hands I devour every word. Damien, mentally and emotionally tortured, emotionally in pain, desperately wanting her, Etta, his soul mate, and yet going down the wrong path, despite himself. We left him in the last book, not knowing where to go, what to do. This beautifully written, easy to read book, brings us further into his mind, into his life, and takes us further, deeper into Aaron's mind too. I wanted Damien, from the last book and so I chose this book (of the two possible endings to the last story)...My excuse? Well, we all love a bad boy, don't we? BUT as I read this book, I decided I wanted Aaron too, and I cried that I hadn't chosen him. The 'what if's' - Etta had chosen him, how would things turn out then? I now know what happens with Damien, and you won't get any spoilers from me...Now I HAVE to have the other book as well. I want Aaron too. :)
I really think this is a terrible idea. A reader has faith in the author that they know where they're going with a storyline. I really enjoyed the first book but I won't read either of the "book 2s". I don't want to decide my own ending. I would become an author myself if that was what I wanted.
I choose Damien i truly believe they are meant to be. She may love Aaron but it’s not in the same way she loves Damien. TBH Aaron will always be her second choice not bc she’s selfish or mean or may it is but it’s Damien she feels for
I could read this book over and over again!! I was literally on the edge of my seat the entire time!
Getting to choose who Etta was ultimately with didn't change the fact that we don't know what's going to happen in the story. in fact, this was such an amazing idea of Lilliana's! I LOVED the way this story played out (obviously because I loved Damien) this gives the readers a chance to be a part of the ending!
I already knew that Etta would ultimately end up with Damien in this book. What I didn't know was how that was going to happen, what was going to happen to Aaron, or obviously how the baby would play into it. I LOVED knowing the ultimate fate of Etta but still have surprises thrown my way!
Overall this story was PERFECT and such a great idea! I give props to Lilliana for going out on a limb and trying something new! it was great! !
So after some thinking, I've decided to go with Damien as the hero, rather than Aaron.
In my opinion I thought the choices given to us was very clever, I don't see why people are so unhappy with it.
I chose this book with a small intention of reading Aaron's book after, but now I'm just thinking that it's wrong, for Etta to end up with someone other than Damien.
Sure their relationship was extremely unhealthy and borderline obsessive from both sides, but those 3 years apart did benefit them.
Damien learned to control his madness, and Etta?? well I mean I think she changed when she realized Damien has changed.
I'm still kind of curious to about Aaron's book, but I don't want to find out what happens with Damien in that one, seems a tad bit too heartbreaking. So i'll just pretend that never existed.
I anxiously awaited the ending to the Drawn series and picked Damien as the first of the 2 endings to read. I am anxiously awaiting reading Aaron when it comes out.
As usual Ms Anderson does a great job character building. It does take a bit to get through the background and into the meat but it is worth it. All in all I gave 4 stars. Which for me is a pretty good rating, I give most books 3 stars. I rated her first book in the series 5 stars but this book didn't have quit the punch the first did one. I think that comes from already knowing the ending before getting to it.
I really enjoyed this book I was hoping that Damien and Etta would find their way back together after the ending of the first book, just because of the connection they shared. I also liked the way we got the point of view of Etta, Damien and Aaron. I really feel the emotions the Author is trying portray in her characters. I really enjoy her writing style as well.
I'm excited to see what happens when she chooses Aaron!!! Happy Reading!
This book is delicious and filled with excitement! Anderson does an amazing job at keeping the reader turning the page to see what happens next in the whirl wind romance of Etta and Damien, after Etta dramatically left Damien in the prequel Drawn! Hands down a cannot set down book! Highly recommended read!
This one wasn't at climactic as Aaron's book. but I def still liked it. and I LOVED how Lilliana connected the two books by addressing falling off the balcony in Damien's book and how he would sacrifice his life for her....I actually audibly said...awwww...when I read that part...very cute :-)
I loved, loved, loved reading this book! From the first book to this one I have been rooting for Damien and Mia this story delivers on that in every way!
I was really pleased that Lilliana Anderson started the book off with where things ended in Drawn. It gave the readers a chance to recap what happened in the end of the first book and gave you the series of events that happened between that time and the time Damien showed up at her front door.
Damien really showed great strength and control when faced with Henrietta and Evie. It would be hard for anyone to be faced with the woman he loves and the daughter he didn't know existed and be able to hold back instead of grabbing ahold of both of them and hold on tight like he wanted. The story was told from Etta, Damien and Aaron's point of view which I enjoyed. I like to be able to read what the other characters are feeling and thinking instead of just getting the story from one point of view.
The scene with Aaron and Damien in Etta's front yard really goes to show the level of control he has now verses in the past. Aaron is the one who went off the deep end this time and Damien did not raise to the bait and loose control I was glad to see that change. Having a mood disorder or not being faced with the person who has been living with your family and playing your role would be hard for even a saint. I'm not dismissing the hurt, pain and fear that Aaron was feeling in that moment though. He may not be in a relationship with Etta but he does love her and he looks at Evie as his daughter after all he has been in that role since she was born. He felt like he was loosing everything that he loved as soon as Damien came back into the picture. He knew that Etta and Damien had something that most people don't ever get the chance to experience in their life time. He just didn't know how to stop what he knew was going to happen.
Shay was a great strong character. She loves Aaron the way he deserves to be loved. She stood by him and supported him and she gave voice of reason to the situation. I like that the Author gave that voice to Shay it is easier for someone who is not directly connected to a situation to see it for what it is. Shay help Aaron take care of Etta and Evie regardless of how difficult that must have been for her. Aaron soon realizes that Shay is the one person who gives to him without thought. She does what is best for him and that is what he needs. Aaron needs someone that loves him as true as he will love them. Shay is that person for him. Etta never did and never could have loved Aaron the way he did her in this journey that she is on with Damien. She may not have meant to but she did use him as a crutch and that wasn't fair to anyone not her, him, Damien, Evie or Shay. I was proud of him for standing up for himself when he told her that he couldn't be the one she relied on anymore. You could see that it hurt him to say things he did to her in that moment but he felt the truth of his words and that was a big eye opener for him and her.
Damien really showed Henrietta how much he was ready to move on from the past and make their future the way it was suppose to be. He owns up to his mistakes and he doesn't hold any anger or resentment towards Henrietta about any decisions she made. He lets it be known that it has hurt him that she kept Evie a secret from him but he understands too. He goes back home and leaves her alone so that she can think and come to her own decision without him there to cloud her judgment. Being apart from one another is hard on them both but it was the right thing for both of them. Damien isn't the kind of person to give up control but he does for Henrietta and she does take notice of that fact.
Henrietta does show growth in her maturity and she puts her daughter's need first. Well except for the ocean scene that was really immature but I keep telling myself that isn't what the author was aiming for. I think she was more going for the whole I am overwhelmed and don't know how to deal with all this emotion flowing through me. I'm scared, and confused kind of thing or at least I think that is what she's going for but to me that could have been shown in a different way. All I got from that scene is that Henrietta has lost her dang mind. She's a mother and suppose to be an adult and yet she acts like a child during that scene. The ending of that scene made things better for me though. The gentleness that Damien showed to her and the way she clung to him like he was the one person who makes her whole made me tear up. In that moment I finally saw what the Author has been trying to show since the beginning. Henrietta and Damien may be two separate people but they are not whole without the other. It's like their souls are connected and needs their other half to breath. Aaron is their to witness the interaction between the two and that is when he comes to the decision that he needs to step away and let her make her own decisions. He sees the connection they have to each other and he actually sees that Damien won't hurt her. He still doesn't like Damien though lol.
Damien and Henrietta do get their happily ever after and I enjoyed being able to witness them getting it right. Not only them but Aaron gets his too in this story. It may not be with Henrietta but I was satisfied with the way this story ends. I was planning to read both Aaron and Damien's stories because I adore the writing ability of Lilliana Anderson. I like the way she brings her characters to life and the story she brings to paper. However I will not buy Aaron's story Obsession for the only fact that I don't want to ruin the way Henrietta's story ends for me. I was team Damien from the beginning and I feel that if I now go and read Aaron's story I will be disappointed because I don't want the Happily ever after for him and Etta. I support Lilliana Anderson as an Author and I would recommend her to anyone who wants to read a great story. She really has a gift of capturing your attention and pull you into the story she's telling. You believe in her characters whether you like them or not and you become emotionally invested. She really went above and beyond for her readers. She wrote not just one but two stories and let the readers choose the path they take. To me that shows dedication to her fans and dedication to her characters. She pilled on double the work to be able to pull out two different stories for Henrietta and I'm sure that had to be challenging at times. Great job Lilliana Anderson you rock and I will continue to support you. I will read more of your books with pleasure you are one of my favorite authors I've came across.
If you want to read a great story that you can become emotionally connected to I recommend you pick up a book by Lilliana Anderson you are sure to be satisfied with what ever story of hers you choose.
I absolutely loved the end of book 1, as it gave me a glimpse into the future of Etta's new life after she left town. This story was a look into the future with Etta, Damien and Aaron and how they all dealt with the aftermath. I enjoyed how the book ended and everyone landed in a good place.
Etta and Aaron was a surprise and it totally made sense to me. While I wanted to skim, once it got going, I flew through reading it. I could not wait for Damien to get what he wanted. The series was not perfect and could have been so much better. However, I did enjoy both books. I will NOT be reading the Aaron ending because I got what I needed from this book.
Why Not 5 Stars?
Beginning of book was boring - I started trolling for other books to read in the beginning. Some of the same scenes from book 1 were repeated and all of the head talk was boring. It would have been so much better if the author could have written new flashbacks instead of repeats from the same scenes we read in book one. I was about to stop reading it but then it flashed to the present and gave me new material.
Etta - she was not redeemed for me in this book. I thought she was selfish and uncaring to Aaron and Damien. She was just uncool. I need to like the heroine and I could not get behind Etta. She was not my cuppa.
‘Le nostre anime danneggiate si chiamano a vicenda e, in qualche modo, quando siamo insieme diventiamo di nuovo interi. È un bisogno. Una necessità. Come aria, acqua e cibo.
She was torn between her love the new life growing inside her parents but when she went to Damien place to collect her stuff and she saw him in bed with bec She was broken the only thing was she wanted to hurt him break him like he broke her he asked about the baby she told him he was free she took care of it he lost his shit she left he went on a destruction and ended up in jail she went away to get some were he couldn't find her away from everyone to have her baby her parents thought she had got rid of it Aaron was th there to help her and he become more but never enough she could still hear feel smell Damian her heart would stop and start
So I definitely had Damien picked as my favorite from the first book and I am not disappointed in who I chose. I think that Aaron found love in his own way and move on while Damien found what he was looking for in life. I think this story was a big roller coaster, but it all turned out perfectly. I will not be read Aaron's sequel because I don't want to ruin my view of Damien because I love him to much lol.
Pretty subpar after the explosion that was the first novel. Unlike its predecessor, I had trouble convincing myself to keep reading this novel which was slow to start and slow to end. It focused too much on emotions and no action truly happened. Overall, a pretty mediocre romance novel that isn’t all that worth it. One especially annoying thing about this novel is how often it straight up repeats passages from the previous novel in dreams the main characters have — absolutely unnecessary.
I can't say how much i DEVOURED this book!! Aaron was a total sweetheart, he was always there for Etta, even when he knew there was no chance for him but he couldn't lose the friendship they shared, the bond they had and he couldn't let go of the hope that one day if and when she needed him he would be there for her. For Aaron there was simply no one else in the world - there was only Etta.
For those of you who read Drawn, you know we were left with a massive cliffhanger. Who will Etta choose? Well the beauty of this series is that we get to choose. We get a different sequel for each guy with completely different events. This is Damien's book. Damien has spent the past three years in prison for the fight he caused the day Etta left him for good. A fight that landed a dozen people in the hospital. He knows he fucked up, but he is more determined than ever that when he is released, he'll find her and make it right. Etta is trying to make things work with Aaron. She knows he is a good man and he's always been there for her, but part of here still craves Damien. Can she continue to fight her desire for him when they come face to face or will she give in?
Okay, before I say anything, I need to tell you that I am wholly biased. I am Team Aaron and at no point have I considered jumping sides. Anderson stated at the beginning of this that she meant to make Damien un-redeemable and though she tries to fix it here, she did that jobs too well. For me, Damien is beyond salvation. I'm sure he deserves a happy life, but he needs to find it elsewhere. Even with him on his best behavior, I didn't want Etta anywhere near him. Some things cannot be undone, you know? With that being said, here's my take.
I had a rocky relationship with Etta in book one. I liked her but Damien makes her stupid and I hate girls like that. I hate girls who allow men to rule their lives and dictate their worlds. We've all met that girl who only ever talks about her boyfriend. No matter what topic you try to introduce to steer the conversation elsewhere, it always ends with "well he says blah blah blah." Etta turned into that girl in Drawn and I was hoping to see her come out of it here, with the prolonged absence from him. She both does and doesn't. She moves on some but still longs for him even though he was a controlling assface to her. And the minute he shows up showing the least bit of improvement, she more or less jumps in the sack with him. Which perturbed me. You have a child to consider now and him saying he's changed doesn't prove shit. You cannot have that around your child. For me, she just forgives him way too easily. They go through the semblance of a trial where they are separated and work towards making a better relationship. She seems a bit selfish here. I understand to an extent that she has still never really been on her own and made her own decisions but when she chooses to move away from Aaron, essentially cutting her ties with him, I saw red. This amazing man helped you when no one else would have and he has stood by you throughout your bullshit and loved your child as his own and THIS is show you repay him? There are not words for my feelings on that subject.
Damien himself was much improved here. He's medicated to help his obsessions and manic behavior, but it's not enough to make up for past mistakes. I understand psychological disorders have a great effect on people, but I don't understand how people can ignore them to such an extent or refuse to seek help because of bad side effects. Do you not realizes that there are hundreds of medications for bipolar or mania or whatever disease you have and the side effects vary depending on what and how much you are taking? If one doesn't work, try another! I like that he does see the light and realize he needs help, but I think Etta should be lost to him. He fucked up beyond recovery, cut your losses and move on. If you are very lucky, she'll let you see your kid but that's as much as you can get.
The plot and writing and pacing of this are as good as the previous book. It's everything I was expecting in a sequel, with a story enthralling enough to compel me to finish it in a single day which is a feat for me. I will say that Lilliana has an amazing way of making you care for the characters you don't even like. I really despise Damien and yet I found myself sympathizing with the selfish asshat. That was both amazing and infuriating because I didn't want to sympathize with him. I wanted my hatred to prevail. Even though I'm 100% Team Aaron, this book made me wish just the tinniest bit that there was some hope for Damien.
All you really need to know is that if you are Team Damien, you'll love this. You get to see him redeem himself in a lot of ways and attempt to earn Etta's trust. He actually has a swoon-worthy side when he wants to and I can sorta see the attraction. If you are Team Aaron, then you'll be angry at the way Etta treats him much of the time, but he gets his happy ending here...even if it wasn't the one I was wishing for. Now I'm off to read the ending I was wishing for. Aaron, here I come!
****Thank you to Lilliana Anderson for providing me with an eARC in exchange for an honest review****
I loved this idea, choosing your hero. I never even slightly doubted that I would choose Damien, boy I’m I glad I did! It was a road to redemption that was well worth it. Great read!
**Beware of Spoilers** I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I absolutely loved it. 5 Stars!!! There are 2 sequels to Drawn (FYI Book 1 is still Free).
Aaron is living as Etta's boyfriend and Evie's father. While they are going through the relationship motions Aaron never feels his love will be enough to heal Etta of her anguish over her toxic relationship with Damien. The ending was perfect for this relationship that didn't look like it could make it. Bravo, I absolutely could not put it down!

I really enjoyed this ending. I loved watching how much hard work and dedication Damien put in to change his perspective on life, and how to become a better person for both himself, and Etta. Damien was fortunate to have an older wiser man as his cellmate. The relationship that grew between Damien and Keith, was amazing and in the end saved Damien. He kept his head down, avoided trouble, took his medication, and went to his consoling program. Damien, kept his sanity by drawling pictures of Etta, and talking about her and how he did he wrong when they were together. Damien realizes that he needs the medication to help control his behavior and balance his mood swings which result from his mental health illness. When Damien was released from prison 3 years later, he knew he had to find Etta, and make things right with her, so they could start the relationship they were always meant to have. One filled with beauty, joy and, everlasting love.
While Damien does his time on the inside, Etta struggles daily with her life on the outside. She is pregnant with Damien’s baby, a man she cannot stop thinking about and no matter how hard she tries to stop loving him, she can’t. She attempts to move on with Aaron, but that simply backfires in her face, when she can’t love him the way he loves her. I felt for Etta, however at the same time, I wish she never would have attempted to have a romantic relationship with Aaron knowing how she still felt for Damien. This only resulted in pain and frustration for Aaron when he realizes she will never be his. He gave up so much to help Etta, and her daughter make a life together. Eventually, Aaron realized he had to move on from Etta, and make his own life. I applauded him for that, and as a result he found his happily ever after. I’m very happy I read this ending first; it was the ending everyone was meant to have.

Okay, so if you saw this book then you know who I chose to end up with Henrietta and that would be Damien because who wouldn't, he has a bad boy vibe to him but that's what I like about his character plus I was hoping that in this story we are able to see his changed in character. I love how Lilliana wrote the ending to this story and it was everything that I imagined it to be. The perfect ending for the perfect couple ❤.
For the past five years, Henrietta had to learn the life of a single mother after she decided to move away from her family and her past with Damien. The only problem? Five years later, he showed up at her doorstep wanting a second chance at their relationship because during the years in prison, Damien had learned to heal from this past and appreciate the people around him, so when he meet Henrietta again, he could once again redeem himself.
At the beginning of this book, it was kind of a slow start because it was a flashback to the events that happened before Damien, healed and recovered, shows up at Henrietta's doors. However, the story picked up really quickly and I slowly fell in love with Damien once again because he would not push Henrietta to do things that she didn't want to do or keep her away from her family. However, he was not the only character that changed over time because Henrietta was able to meet with a therapist and heal her pain from her past. I found Henrietta to be really independent at this point and I was so proud of her. She wasn't as annoying and stubborn as she was in the first book which made me enjoy this book even more.
Overall, the ending to this book was so cute and I was really happy that Aaron found someone for himself as well. I really enjoy this book because of how well-rounded the characters had become and it was great to see such a happy ending to both the characters and the series.
Where do I even start with DRAWN REDEMPTION by Lilliana Anderson, you see I beta read for Lilliana and despite how much I loved Drawn I was firmly team Aaron. To me he was the perfect man, he was strong and caring and loving and despite everything that Etta went through he was still there, loving her, supporting her.
I was steadfast in my love for Aaron, but Lilliana did the unthinkable in Redemption, she converted me, it's not that I don't still adore Aaron, it's just that Aaron could never compete with Etta's relationship with Damien, their attraction is too strong and their almost visceral need for one another surpasses all else.
For me, Redemption shows that despite everything that has passed before Etta & Damien need each other, they complete that puzzle that never quite fit right with anyone else. In a different place, in a different time - Aaron & Etta could of worked but in the here and now that is Drawn Redemption there would never be anyone else that could stand a chance, and in finding each other they allowed Aaron to find his happy as well.
In a lot of ways the Drawn sequels is all about second chances, it was no doubt a massive undertaking that allowed the reader for write their own HEA, and not only did Lilliana do this, she surpassed my every expectation.
