I have to be honest. I almost DNF'd this book at around 23%. I didn't like Myla anymore and it seemed like the whole firing of the night nanny thing was just wtfuckery.
I loved the first book in this series Angelbound and enjoyed the second one Scala so I didn't want to give up these characters without a fight.
It seemed like Myla was raising a spoiled brat and that being queen had gone to her head. After the rough beginning the book did get better. Myla and Lincoln break into hell to save Maxon their child.
It's a short little book and I do miss some of the characters that were introduced in book one and hope to see more of them eventually.
Will I continue the series? I'll use Myla's words........

I received an arc copy of this book from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review./i>

Armageddon is book three in the Angelbound series by Christina Bauer. First, I just want to say that I am so very glad I stayed with this series. Each book has gotten better and better and this one is my favorite of all three. I loved it! It was fast paced and I totally loved all of the characters. Well, not the bad guys.

 photo tumblr_ncymxisLvR1rlitzfo1_1280_zps614473ae.jpg

Myla and Lincoln couldn’t be happier. Time has passed, they are now married and have a three year old son, Maxon. Maxon, though, is both physically and mentally way above his age. He has inherited the scala powers from his mother and of course the royal blood from his father. Lincoln’s father, Conner, has kept his distance. He always seems to be busy but Myla and Lincoln just think it is just because he is retired now. Until the day Hildegard or Hildy shows up saying she is the new Nanny for Maxon. Little did they realize that Conner had hired her. She has special powers that allow her to protect Maxon. But why does Maxon need her? What does Conner know that they don’t know?

The truth is soon revealed. The King of Hell, Armageddon, has a devious plan to kidnap Maxon. Hildy has not had enough time to properly bond to Maxon to protect him so when Armageddon carries out his plan, they only have a very small window of time to save him before Armageddon will be able to torture poor little Maxon.

 photo tumblr_nd4ekdQWFW1rkfj0so1_1280_zps129c365f.jpg

I want to say that this part of the book broke my heart. I don’t know if it’s the Mom in me or just Christina’s wonderful writing but I was there with Myla and Lincoln. I loved Hildy and her story. She was such a great addition to these characters. And Myla oh Myla! Wow has she grown and changed from the first book to now. She is strong both physically and mentally. She thinks now before she acts. And she and Lincoln, even with the horror they are forced to face, are so sweet together. They remain united throughout it all, being the strength each other needs.

When he speaks once more, his voice cracks with a mixture of love and pain. “I can’t bear the thought of losing you, Myla. Wherever you go, that’s where I want to be. Always. Promise me that you’ll never leave again without talking to me first.”
“I promise, Lincoln.”
He exhales a long sigh. “And that’s all I need to hear.”

Myla’s father wants war against Armageddon. He is still suffering from the twenty years he was held prisoner in Hell. But is war the best option? It would take too long to organize everyone. So, Myla and Lincoln decide to rescue their son on their own.

 photo tumblr_n2y7ekUl741r0tytoo1_400_zpssqjds1sd.gif

“As I careen through the black space, I keep whispering one phrase, over and over. We’re coming for you, baby.”

We do learn Conner’s story, why he did what he did. Did it help me to dislike him less…no, it did not. The things he did to lead up to Maxon’s abduction were inexcusable.

As I said, I loved this book. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time and could think of little else but to see what happens next. I look forward to the next book in the series which is Maxon’s story as a twenty-two year old.

Thank you so much to Christina Bauer, Ink Monster and NetGalley for giving me the opportunity to read this book.

Age Rating: Older YA due to one make out session, and swearing.

Warning: Skip the summary if you haven’t read Angelbound!

My Summary:

It’s been five years since the events of Angelbound. Myla and Lincoln are now married with a three year old little boy, Maxom.

The king of hell, Armegeddeon (No the subtitle isn’t referring to the end of the world) has been plotting his revenge against Myla since she sent him back to hell. And what better way to get back at her than by threatening her son?

My Review:

The overall story isn’t quite as good as the first one, but the writing has drastically improved. (No repeating of information or unnecessary scenes.)

The Good:

We finally get to see some of the other realms. With so many beautiful and dark settings there wasn’t time for more than a quick tour, but I enjoyed seeing more of the world. We also learn more about the history of the first two large scale wars, the first against Lucifer himself.

The pacing picked up as the story progressed and by the end there was no place to stop where my characters were safe.

I liked all of the relationships. Myla’s marriage felt true as did her love for her son.

Maxom feels like a real little kid. (I could definitely tell that the author is a mom.) I liked his kid-logic and I loved the tail snuggling!

A couple of new characters were added, I particularly liked the spunky Hildy. (and the magical monkey Kiya was adorable!)

There were many times I was afraid it was going to be too easy for our main characters or they were going to make stupid mistakes, but the action in the end was well done with just the right amount of unpredictability.

Myla’s still the same strong heroine from Angelbound, but she’s grown up a bit in the years since then. (Okay, only a little bit.)

The Bad:

The mood of this book was darker, which makes sense given the circumstances, but I missed the funny sassy Myla. There were still a couple humorous instances, but overall she was all business.

I also missed some of the supporting characters from the first book. Both Myla’s best friend Cissy and her mom are barely in this book at all.

Would I recommend this book? Yes, but I recommend starting with the first in the series. There’s too much world building for this one to make sense on its own.

Point of View: First Present (Myla)

Predictability: 4 out of 5

My Rating: 7/10 Stars

I kept thinking that she was hinting at a sequel with Maxom and I was right. The next book in the series, Maxon, will be released on May 12, 2015!

Angelbound is one of those series I discovered completely by accident and talked about it to anyone willing to listen. What I loved about it above all else is that it was completely free of the usual YA tropes, new, 100% fresh and often bold in the way it approached things. This applied to romance more than anything else, of course, and Myla and Lincoln quickly became my favorite couple in YA fiction.

Armageddon brings some significant changes to the series. Five years have passed between books, and Myla and Lincoln are now married and have a small son named Maxon. They are also the royal couple since Lincoln’s parents chose to step down and allow Myla and Lincoln to rule. Their kingdom is happy and prosperous, but an old danger is still threatening them from Hell. Armageddon, the king of Hell, is very much alive and determined to get his revenge so he strikes them where it hurts the most – he kidnaps Maxon.

Myla is changed significantly in this book. She is still the great Scala now she’s also a queen, but she’s a mother and a wife first, and that outshines everything else. I have to admit that I didn’t like the shift, the new roles she and Lincoln adopted along the way. I think I was supposed to warm up to Maxon, but I was a bit disturbed by Myla’s parenting decisions and I couldn’t even see the boy behind all the spoiled behavior.

The plot was oddly constructed and the book as a whole felt a bit rushed, which disappointed me. It lacked serious characterization, especially since we’re now dealing with older, more serious characters. I couldn’t connect with the new Myla at all, and what I liked about Lincoln before now seems two-dimensional and empty. Bauer only scratched the surface this time and left all the potential of this world and her characters completely unexplored.

The next book, Maxon, takes place approximately 19 years after this one. That is a huge jump and I hope it will be handled better than this one. I will continue the series because I liked the first two books and I like the author very much. I still believe that this world has a lot to offer. Hopefully I won’t be disappointed.

I received an ARC through NetGalley.

Armageddon was certainly not the finale I was expecting. It's a few years into the future. Myla and Lincoln are married, have inherited the Thrax throne from his parents, and have a three year old son, Maxon. All seems peaceful in Purgatory and Antrum, at least until Maxon is kidnapped and taken to hell by Armageddon. Now, Myla and Lincoln have to break into Hell, get their son back, and kill the king of Hell once and for all.

It's no secret that I don't like plots involving kids, which is basically what Armageddon is. I really did not care about Maxon at all, especially since he appeared out of nowhere. I knew Myla would have to fight the king of Hell eventually, but not three plus years later! I hate time jumps! The story isn't all bad. I did enjoy seeing this series' version of Hell. It's not the most original, with its personalized trials, but it was interesting enough.

Armageddon does, once again, suffer from a plot point that doesn't make sense and it distracted me from the time it was revealed until the very end. Two characters make a deal, and one of the terms of that deal is that they get Maxon's soul. Except that it's not really Maxon who is part of the deal because of the language used. One of these characters emphasizes a certain word, and Maxon doesn't qualify. Although later in the deal different language is used, which Maxon does fit. But, either way, the original term of the deal wasn't even met which would make the whole thing void anyway. Sure, you can't really trust this person in the first place, but they're not getting what they want either, so none of this would have even happened. And in fact, it wasn't even necessary for the kidnapping plot.

Of course, Armageddon has a happy ending. I'd expect nothing else from this series. I just really wish I liked it more.

Myla & Lincoln: Myla & Lincoln are now the King and Queen of the Thrax. I loved the chemistry between them as always just on a different level this time around. We see a completely different side to Myla who is no longer the feisty young quasi but now a protective Mother and Queen who would do anything and go to any lengths to save her son. They have both grown up quite a bit and I enjoyed seeing the tender side of Lincoln. They are still a kickass team, especially when they venture into Hell to save their son Maxon.

Maxon: Maxon is adorable. He just crawls into your heart & makes himself comfy! I think we are going to see amazing things from him in this series when he grows up. Connor & Octavia: They surprised me! We uncover Connor's secret and discover why he has behaved in certain ways. Hildy: Initially I was a bit unsure of Hildy and her role in the story. She went on to become on of my favourite characters! Xavier: Myla's dad is awesome - I still love him!

I missed Walker & the igni's presence. They do make an appearance but only on a small scale.

Plot, Pace, Writing style: 4/5
Christina's writing style is easy to follow and the plot was good. Some of the twists were easy to see and others were quite a surprise. The pace of the story was quick. I would have enjoyed a few more scenes with Hildy and Maxon, and maybe a bit more detail in some of the other scenes. Ultimately it was an enjoyable read.

Cover talk: 4/5
I liked the cover and understood it a bit better after having read the story.

Final Thoughts:
This was a good addition to the series and an enjoyable read.

I wasn't really sure I would enjoy ARMAGEDDON seeing as so much time has passed since the ending of SCALA and they're now parents. I was worried I wouldn't be able to get into the new setting. I was wrong. I was instantly able to reconnect with both Myla and Lincoln and fell in love with their little man, Maxon.

ARMAGEDDON felt a lot shorter than the previous 2 books. There was a lot of action, but the pages really flew by. The major happenings involved Maxon, their son, getting kidnapped by The King of Hell. I really enjoyed the way everything played out. I enjoyed the additional characters that were introduced and ended up being instrumental in the story. It was great seeing how Myla has grown, but also seeing how she managed to stay herself at the same time. I was really shocked with the revelations that came out involving Lincoln's Dad. I didn't see that coming at all. The ending did a great job of finishing off the storyline that started in ANGELBOUND.

Book 4, MAXON, will feature Maxon as the main character and it sounds like he will fall in love with someone that sounds just like Myla. lol. Can't wait to see where Christina Bauer takes him.

ARC by Netgalley.

Lincoln takes my hand in his. “We can do this,” he says in a low voice.
The cool resolve in his mismatched eyes thrums through me. My spine straightens; my heart rate slows. My wrath demon unfurls inside my soul, heating my blood with rage.
Fuck Armageddon. We’re getting our kid back.

Well, I shouldn't have worried about the five year jump this book made, because it was awesome.

Myla is no longer a sassy teenager. She is a Queen, a mother of an adorable three year old. And her life is good, she is still The Great Scala, the only one taht can move souls from Hell; she is married with her angelbound love Lincoln... until her little Maxon is kidnapped by Armageddon and taken to Hell.

So, what is she going to do? Wait for someone to save him while she sits in a room crying? Nay.
She's still a warrior and with the help or her husband, they'll bring back their son.

The book lacked no action scenes, funny moments and yes, a little bit of angst. A great addition to the Angelbound series (and apparently there are four more books to come!)

Wasn't as good as other books in the series.

It was released after the first book before the author started to write the books in between the first book and this book.

This is the reason there were some personality issues with Myla's Father. We never saw a haunted side of him since book 2 or 3. Until this book.

The book was a little slow at the start but got it's usual flare as the book went on.

Loved the book and can't wait to read Book 8 in September!

Some books can be imperfect and their issues can hinder your enjoyment of the experience, they can have you finding yourself annoyed or irritated by the glaring problems or lack of continuity, but with some books, those things don't matter. The Angelbound is the perfectly example. Is each instalment without faults? No, at least, it doesn't feel to me like it's faultless, but this has never been an issue for me. I never expect perfection, nor a story written with lyrical prose and deep, intense emotions, I sign up for an entertaining, mature, humorous and exciting read, and every time, Bauer delivers.

Entertainment. Maturity. Humour. Excitement. All features of Angelbound that are always delivered upon, and features that were definitely included within Armageddon, maturity playing such a stronger and more important role than I had really expected. Watching Myla develop from a teenage quasi-demon with an attitude and a tank full of sass, into a Mother, Wife, and Queen, it's such a huge dramatic change to have taken place within three novels and a few years, but Bauer manages to make the transition so clean and so realistic, I find I'm very much a fan of the jump-cut she made between the prequel Scala and this instalment. I think the jump-cut, for some people, may cause a rift between who Myla was previously and who she is now, but for me personally, I loved this change. I like seeing how her priorities changed between her wants and the needs of her son Maxon, how her protective and mothering instincts affected her actions and her emotions, and even her decisions both as a mother and a ruler, and I adored how this fast-forward into her live only cemented my love for the romance in this series.

In Angelbound I had a few issues with the romance, and for the life of me, I don't know why I ever did. Bauer has creative such an equal partnership and a relationship full of loyalty, care and sexual attraction, it's hard not to get swept up in Myla and Lincoln's love for one another. Bauer's sex positive attitude and how she doesn't make a song and dance about general foreplay in a relationship is such a great feature to have, and while I do think that there are some scenes within this novel that put this series on a fine line between Young Adult and New Adult, I adore the inclusion of them and how they shed should a positive attitude on it through literature. The romance is steamy and sexy and honest as well as realistic. There's never a moment when I doubt their connection or their feelings for one another, and I've never doubted the chemistry between them, romantic and sexual. Sex is not a plot device, and should be enjoyed, by the reader and the characters, and Bauer succeeded in this through Armageddon.

My issues as usual consist of how slow the first half felt and how fast the second half felt, and how, what could be utterly fabulous action scenes worthy of awards were relegated to being undercut by what felt like too simple and too quick moments, moments that felt too easy or not dealt with enough, and anti-climatic reveals, and if I can be completely honest, it is a little disappointing on the whole, however, what was there was just as impressive as it's been previously, and the extra inclusions of Egyptian and Roman mythology within the novels storyline and plot were welcomed features I loved. The lack of secondary characters that featured were also missed personally, characters such as Cissy and Walker who played such vital and important parts in other instalments, even her Mother, they felt pushed out and replaced by other characters who, granted, were really enjoyable to read about and get to know, such as Hildy and Maxon, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed by what was less defining moments in what I would consider the closing chapter between Myla and Lincoln.

While Armageddon is not the best in the series so far, and while I do feel as though it is weaker than Scala was, I still most definitely enjoyed reading more from Myla, Lincoln and now, Maxon, who we'll follow very soon, and I can't wait to see the direction Bauer takes this series. I do think that waiting so long and seeing the characters change a little did affect the level at which I enjoyed Armageddon, but this is entirely my fault and my own personal issue and doesn't pull away from the fact that this book, and this entire series is most definitely one you should not miss, and one you should see the reading as soon as possible. This is definitely the best paranormal fantasy/romance series I've read, and it could without a doubt be yours too.

Today I’m reviewing the other book to release yesterday for Ink Monster, and that is Armageddon the 3rd book in the Angelbound series written by Christina Bauer. I received this as an ARC from NetGalley and Ink Monster for my honest review. There will be spoilers for the first 2 books in her and again, if you haven’t started the series yet I highly recommend it. If you want to check out my reviews of Angelbound or Scala check out my blog. Also, the first book in the series is also in a bind-up with Becoming Alpha.

So I went into this book with no information on what it was about. I didn’t look at the synopsis or anything. I knew it was book 3 in a series I love and had Myla on the cover looking all bad ass in her fighting suit and her dragon tail ready for action. Once I was a few pages in I did go back and read the start which cleared up my confusion. This book skips ahead and takes place 5 years from where Scala left off. Once confirming I hadn’t missed anything important, like a novella, in there somewhere I was good to go once more. We pick up the story with Myla and Lincoln married and splitting their time between Purgatory and Thrax, after all they are King and Queen. They also have a little boy named Maxon, yes it looks like Myla’s inner lust demon was finally let out on Lincoln. Things have been relatively good and drama free but Myla needs to put her fighting suit back on and fight her biggest battle yet, in Hell. She'll face Armageddon, The King of Hell, himself when he kidnaps her son. A war between the after-realms is emanate and will likely result in millions of lives lost. So Myla devises her own plan, a small attack team to rescue her son and avoid war.

Armageddon is another quick read from Ink Monster. They are wonderful at packing a story full of all the good things but keeping the pacing moving along without a single slow spot so you sit down to read and get up when it's finished. I love reading about Myla, she is such a kick ass character, literally she used to fight in the arena! Now she has her Scala powers, and the power that comes from being a Queen of the Thrax and the daughter of the president of Purgatory. She is also part fury demon and a mother and you don't mess with a mothers child and not deal with her wrath. There is a lot going on in the story and at first the 5 year skip made me sad, so much stuff we missed, but then after thinking about it, doing this they had a different story to tell instead of risking any repeating.

So there is plenty of non-stop action going on in the story, given. There is also a new emotional attachment. Myla and Lincoln are parents, which means carving out alone time for themselves between their busy schedules. There is still great chemistry between those two and they are able to bring out the best in one another. The plot of this story is fast paced and you are drawn quickly into the world once more, trying to figure out how Armageddon plans to get his hands on Myla and Lincoln's son and then how to get him back without playing into a trap.

I give this book 5 Igni easily and can't wait for the next one to come out. If you like quick reads with great characters that get your heart racing, action, and suspense check out the Angelbound series.

Armageddon is the third book in the ‘Angelbound’ series and it was just as fab as the rest.
Five years have passed and we find out that Myla and Lincoln are now married, King & Queen of the Thrax and parents to 3yr old Maxon – who is already showing power and is the Scala Heir. As the title suggests, Armageddon is back and he wants revenge, he will accomplish this by kidnapping Maxon, knowing that he will start a war but hoping to wipe out the entirety of Myla’s family. Now readers of this series will know exactly how Myla and Lincoln will react to this threat, don’t expect them to sit on their thumbs and do nothing…..because they will always fight for what’s right and fight harder for their son – even if it does mean going to war with hell.
I loved the progression of the characters in this, with a lot of time having passed you could tell that Myla had grown up a lot, in everything she did from the way she thought, her attitude and even the way she spoke, she really came into her own and role as Scala & Queen. I loved to see the maternal side to her because she is quite a hard person, known for fighting and violence so this was a lovely way to see the softer side to her and her devotion to her son shone through. Much the same with Lincoln, he is more serious with his role now being King, determined to make a difference to his people and utterly devoted to Myla and Maxon. You could clearly see that he didn’t want to repeat the same mistakes of his father so that showed what kind of man he has matured to be.
The storyline was great, on par for what we are used to with plenty of plotting, magic and action. I love that there is always something going on and that there are many threads that weave together for the whole story to take place. We finally get to see the skeletons that have been hiding in Lincoln’s father’s closet and it was awesome to see how this tied into the current troubles, it also brings in a couple of more threats which at this point in the series made a good impact. With everyone so gung ho on war, I loved that Myla still chose her own path, that the old Myla may have charged ahead but the new Myla took time to consider every angle and chose what was best for her son and family with the least amount of death and destruction. There is new magic introduced too, more than one kind and I liked what they brought to the story and one character in particular is very interesting and I hope she pops up in the next book. I also loved the introduction to Maxon, he is a little fire cracker and if you thought Myla was powerful – imagine what her child will be capable of……. And considering the next book is named ‘Maxon’ I’m sure we’re about to find out because apparently…..he is linked to a prophecy! I can’t wait!

I really wish I could give this 5 stars like I did the previous books but it just didn't work quite as well for me like the other two books did.

From the very beginning of Armageddon I felt almost as if I had accidentally skipped one or two books, so much had changed between this book and the last that it really hindered my ability to make a strong connection with the story.

There were a few things that I really missed in this book and they were -

I missed the Myla and Lincoln chemistry and fun that was always present in previous books. I understand this book has skipped ahead but with this particular storyline they felt quite aged and you never got to truly enjoy them as 'grown ups' because pretty much from the outset they were in stressed out parent mode (not that I could blame them).

I also missed Bauers usual humour in this book. One of the things that really hooked me to the series initially was the authors ability to blend humour and drama seamlessly, it was really missed in Armageddon.

My only other complaint was that I never really felt attached to Maxon. I really think if this book was always the intention it would have been beneficial to have had an epilogue in the previous book introducing Maxon or at least a pregnancy, it's quite a jump to having a 3 year old hen they hadn't even had sex in the last book. This is why I found it difficult to form a real connection to Maxon. I will however admit that towards the end his sweetness had started to grow on me.

Now all that's off my chest I am going to once again commend Bauer for her amazing world building, she does an incredible job and always manages to take me on some of my best fantasy rides.

I loved the addition of Hildy and the fact that there are always such great kick ass heroines in these books.

Something I have liked through the whole series is that despite whatever drama, challenges, danger, you name it happens, Myla and Lincoln are always united. There are never any stupid misunderstandings or huge life altering secrets. They have absolute love, faith and devotion for one another, they also respect the fact that they are both warriors and that they have a primal need to fight beside each other always. They are both awesome!.

So whilst this isn't my favourite book in the series, I still loved it and enjoyed seeing a different side of Myla and Lincoln.

I will now attempt to while away the next few agonising months until book 4 is released.

I've loved the previous books in this series as they were quite a breathe of fresh air into the supernatural/paranormal scene, so I was really looking forward to reading the third instalment on the series!

I was a bit thrown when I started reading cause quite some time has passed between the previous book and this one. I think a lil over 3 years already, so it was a bit shocking to find that they had been married and ruling over Thrax and Purgatory and that they have a 3 year old son!

We don't really have a lot of time to get settled into this new situation when Myla and Lincoln have to face the most scary threat to any parent... their child is threatened. Maxon is an endearing but also very special child, with abilities that are not easy to deal with since they are Scala abilities, which means he isn't the easiest child to care for, and Myla and Lincoln need a nanny now and then, specially at night. And not all nanny's can deal with Maxon's special needs.

Then comes the threat from Armageddon the King of Hell himself, and to add insult to injury Conner himself is involved in it. They need to find out what's Armageddon's plan regarding Maxon and in the mean time they are accepting Hildy's help, the new nanny that Conner hired for Maxon. But as much as they try, Maxon is kidnapped and they have to rescue him from Hell before time ticks out.

I loved how Myla and Lincoln's relationship has evolved and how they make an amazing team, be it as rulers, parents or as a couple fighting to get their son back from hell. Keeping the other grounded when needed and always watching each other's backs.

We also get quite a lot of worldbuilding about Thrax and of course a better look at Hell during the rescue missing. And also deal with consequences of choices, and a look about what our weaknesses can lead to when we make the choice between the lesser of two evils.

The ending was quite hopeful and left me looking forward to the next instalment, even if it might be an even bigger leap since it'll be about a grown Maxon!

Entertaining and still quite fresh, even if not as amazing as the previous books, this one still gets 3.5 stars.

I finished this book quite a (long) while ago (like months, or a year?) and I just realised that I haven't posted any review of it. It might have slipped in my mind somewhere, (deeply deeply! sorry about that) I received a copy of this book in exchange of an honest review.

This book started far after the last instalment ends. Our favourite protagonists Myla and Lincoln is now happily married with a third year old son Maxon! as a super fan of the series since the beginning, I was a little worried about the new setting and with Myla being the queen and all and that she might be less of a warrior, but thank heavens no. When the king of Hell kidnapped their son? Major ass kicking ahead. I shouldn't be worried at all.

The characters had developed so much since the last book, and for the better. Myla and Lincoln is still amazing together, and Maxon, adorable little Maxon is going to steal your heart with just a few paragraphs of him playing around. I do miss the previous supporting characters though.

I have to say my most favourite thing about this book-and the previous ones really- had to be the writing style, it was flawless and so easy to understand. With a few chapters I am completely hooked, and the plot was no less amazing too. The pace was quite fast that I might have devoured this book in less than a day.

Overall, I would totally recommend this book, although you might want to start from the beginning to understand the story. Still love the first book better but love this one nonetheless.

Wow! What a rush! I couldn't put this one down for even a second. It was one of those stay up all night and read `one more chapter' until there are none left.
There's an intensity to this book that you feel throughout the novel. Christina Bauer story is well laid out and intricately put together making everything completely and vividly real. This is Sci fi yet extremely exciting story. Everything comes together in such a magnificent manner to create a world that is very believable and the lives of the characters are simple with issues than we could ever encounter.
The characters in this novel are brilliant. The main characters are so well made up that you can't help but love them. You get to know them more as you read through the book , I really appreciate the fact that the supporting cast are all developed in such a way that they could stand on their own in another book in the series. They are all individuals, You get to know in such a way that you either love or hate them. Their trials are so intense and realistic through the twists and turns of the story I like the fact that there's no in between. It is nice to know that watching these characters enter act was heart-warming and absolutely hilarious. Overall, this novel was definitely very enjoyable. I can't wait to continue on this journey with them in the next book. I also intend to read the other books in this series. So if you are a Sci fi fan or not this is a MUST READ!!!

Although you have in the beginning the feeling you have missed a piece in the story line it picks up very quick. Each book has gotten better and better and this one is my favorite of all three. It was great seeing how Myla has grown, but also seeing how she managed to stay herself at the same time.

The writing was a little different than the first books. Less fillings but more world-building. That in combination with the romance and paranormal elements a amazing new installment for this series. It was sad to read less fun parts and more business but then again The main characters is a mom now so maybe it was just time to grow up.

Book 4, MAXON, will feature Maxon as the main character!

Unlike both Angelbound and Scala, I hadn't read this book. In fact, I remember wanting to read it, and life got in the way. I'm just so glad that this series brought me back to it, especially since I got to read all three books consecutively.

In the epic conclusion of the Angelbound Origin series, Myla goes on yet another action-packed adventure, just, this time, in Hell. I knew at some point that she would end up there, but what I didn't expect is the number of years that had passed along with the changes that came along with it. It really makes you think what happened in between. At this point, the house of Acca is finally going through its necessary changes (thank God)... (more via website)

This was one of the best in the angelbound series. It was great to have Myla-la back and I absolutely love Lincoln. They have son now little Maxon who sounds just as mischievous as his mother.
The book is well written and the story take you on ride that is truly awesome. Christine Bauer tells the story so well I just couldn't stop reading. I finished this book in just 2 days and the only reason that happened was because i needed to sleep. The action and characters were amazing, its a book that made we smile, laughing at Lincoln's humour and loving Myla's crazy plans. There were quiet a few typos and errors, I know it is allowed as this is not the final version. All i can say is Christina Bauer is a genius.

The faboo conclusion to the Angelbound Origins series which was written before some of the middle stuff in the series (wedding, baby) for a long list of reasons that author Christina Bauer explains by saying: "I don't know; it came out of my head that way." Ah, those creative types!!!! A great ending -- enjoy the ride and read it today!

Ok, I've read this book twice already. I can't stress how much I love this series. Myla's transition from young woman to mommy is flawless. Her relationship with Lincoln is hot as ever. Cant wait to read book #4.

My favorite characters from the Angelbound world are back Myla and Lincoln. Myla and Lincoln are married now and have a son Maxon. Maxon is like any other little boy he is rambunctious and probably gets into everything. He is only three years old he is exploring and learning what everything is.

But Maxon is not totally like other kids his age no Maxon has magic which he has not learned how to control as of yet of course. Maxon goes through Nanny's like three or four a week at least. His latest Nanny has just walked out the door but never fear Grandpa has hired Maxon a new Nanny that will double as his bodyguard.

Armageddon, the king of H3!! is trying to get his hands on Maxon and succeeds. Myla and Lincoln are beside themselves with worry over Maxon but his new Nanny can help get him back as she has some special powers of her own. Myla and Lincoln love their little boy more than life itself and will do everything in their power to get him back.

I felt so bad for Myla when Maxon disappeared I could feel her pain and before I knew it I was in tears myself. It was as if I was there with her watching everything from a close distance. I love all the characters from the Angelbound world.

I have been waiting a long time to read Armageddon and finally it came up in the list of the Angelbound books. Like all the other books once I picked it up there was no way I could lay it down until I had read the last page. I can’t seem to get enough of Myla and Lincoln's world. I so can’t wait for the next book Quasi Redux or any book from this world.

I am a great big fan of the Angelbound world so would I recommend Armageddon? H3!!S YEAH! Oh I highly recommend each and every novel in the Angelbound world and any novel that Christina Bauer has ever written. So one click your copy of Armageddon today! Oh but if you haven’t read any of the books in the Angelbound Origins then I do suggest that you start with book one in the series as you want to get the whole and complete picture.

This time, we are going to hell.
In this series we started in Purgatory, we visited Heaven, and Antrum, and even Earth. The only place we haven't been too yet was Hell. And I guess it was time to go check on Armageddon once and for all.
This time Aldred the creep is back, even though he is dead he can still be a pain and he decided to kidnap Maxon and give him to Armageddon because he is just mean like that. Seriously the guy doesn't even have a game anymore he just like to be super mean to people in general.
In this book we also finally learn what Conor deals is. And Wow, really that was some planned series. I absolutely love when some little clues are left through the books and you can finally pick the pieces at the end. Well, I didn't actually see that one coming. I would have though more like Mila's goat theory or something. Having Conor finally discover was sort of genius even though his death was kind of unnecessary.
I loved the free visit to hell. Though I wonder why having Maxon kidnap didn't bother me as much as when Lincoln was taken away in the previous book. Maybe that was because of Hildi. It felt like he was always going to be rescued no matter what. Though this time Mila's dad was the one sort of acting creepy which was really annoying. I can't even begin to imagine why he would not launch himself at Armageddon straight away since he knew what Maxon would go through.

Anyway, that was a fun read. I hope that book 5 is going to fit right in the series since it's coming this year. It should have baby Maxon in it, which I find totally adorable. And a lot of Walker, my favorite ghoul.

I liked it but wanted more. This one felt like it was missing some special ingredient.

I loved that time had passed and Myla and Lincoln were now married with a child. I found it interesting that this child was the obsession of Hell. The wanted this child and to get him back Myla was willing to burn it down. She was not so willing to sacrifice millions of lives. I respected her for that. It seemed like with age, wisdom, and time Myla has grown in some ways and in other stayed that young woman that was ready with quick witt, sassy, and her deadly skills.

In this book from this series, there was almost a moment or two of Myla being a different person, but think about it she was. She's married and has a child. Motherhood changes you. Sometimes you become a totally different person and wanting what you want can cause a few headaches for those around you. I could sympathize with Myla and understood her to a point.

I did like this one but not as much as the others of this series. I still advise reading them in order. Although, I have found that there are some additions to the series that go between the original release dates. This could help to clear up some issues and gapes.

Another fun filled Myla and Lincoln tale. These two are a powerhouse of hysterical and sometimes bloody proportions!

When their son is taken to hell, they’ll stop at nothing to find a way in and save him. To take down the ones responsible for all of the pain and suffering… and of course this brings out a helluva lot of old family secrets. The wounds that peel open fill them with grief, and let’s face it, the secrets may do more damage to them all than the trip to hell.

It’s a page turner and I can’t wait for more of these two crazy kids!

What a great story. It was emotional and so intense i couldn't stop reading. I read this book in one sitting. Myla has really come into her own, gone is the impulsive and slightly annoying girl and in her place is the more mature, queen and mother.

Myla and Lincoln are a great couple, they have each others backs and would give up their life for the other.

I am sad now that i have caught up on the Origins and Offspring series and have to wait for the next book release.

This was a fun edition to the series. I was kind of annoyed with the main character at the beginning but the storyline picked up after a while and I liked the book the more I read it. While I think this series has gone on a lot longer than perhaps it needs to I still enjoyed it. Especially with Maxon in the series. Lincoln and Myla were still a great couple to read about and I remember why I enjoyed reading about them so much.

This book is full of fast-paced action which made the pages fly right by! Myla and Lincoln are couple goals. They now have a son, Maxon, and things are about to get messy... again. It was nice to see the subtle changes in Myla and Lincoln in their new role as parents, but they still can't keep themselves out of trouble! Poor little Maxon gets kidnapped and taken to hell and they have to get him back. More of the same adventures and fun I've come to love and expect!

I enjoyed visiting this world again. Myla and Lincoln are great together. We get a interactions with Lincoln's father and mother as well as Myla's father. Myla's son Maxon has been kidnapped so this is about saving him from Armageddon..

Thank you to the author, publisher, and NegGalley for my eARC in exchange for an honest review. - This is one of my favorite worlds.

Let me preface by saying I read this series when there were only three books and this was the last book at the time.

I really enjoyed this book and found it fitting considering Myla and Lincoln are older and that it leads to the spin off series with Maxon. It revolves around Armageddon kidnapping their son Maxon and them working in Hell to get him back.

This final book really highlighted the maturity both characters have undergone and I loved it. This whole series is a journey from the time Myla was 18 and I really enjoyed seeing her as an adult with new and different responsibilities. Because of the time span these three books covered the storyline never felt repetitive with a new action filled plot in each book.

I recommend this series to anyone looking for a YA paranormal book with amazing characters. I can't speak for the whole series but for me the first second and seventh book were sufficient enough for a good understanding.
