Totally loved this book, it has a totally different mood from the previous books. It's still hysterical, has crazy scenes, scenarios and crazy characters. But along with that, the emotions that fill these pages. One's that make your heart heavy and makes it bleed for both Jefferson and Kitty, concerning issues from their pasts.
We have seen in previous books about the heartbreak surrounding Sondra's death. But with Kitty coming back into the picture, you see things change but not in anyway forgetting Sondra. It's more of a letting go, than forgetting. Kitty has a surprise in her past and the revelation blows things up and leaves Jefferson feeling like he's not enough.
This books was a joy to read and just what I think this series needed. A little heart in a great rom com series. I totally recommend it but it must be read as part of the series. For me it can not be read as a standalone.

Jeff and Kitty there just wow together!!!
I ve luvd this series so far and I've been dying to get more from Jeff. He's been a great side character throughout the series but it's time for him to shine and tell his story. We get to see a much deeper side to him in this book which I thought was amazing. Know don't get me wrong we still get the sexy cowboy with the crazy sister haha. There is just so much more to learn about him and what he has gone through. I luv his bond with his son Hunter its just amazing I think the grow together so much in this story.
Kitty is brilliant she is so sexy and just shows that women a lil older can still kick arse and be sexy. Kitty has been out of town for a long time but things are still the same and it's just what she needs after the last few years. Getting to see her old friend again is great but the one person that she wasnt sure she was her old boyfriend Jeff. When she finally gets to see him the chemistry is still so strong between them if not even stronger. But things have changed after so long with both of them could things go back to the way it was??
I would highly recommend this book and series. It's one of my favorites from this author. Whooop!!! This series is so spectacular, I was so excited to be asked to read this ARC by the author!!!! I’ve been waiting because Jefferson is closer to my age than the other characters that are just beginning their lives. This book has heat, laughs, sadness and like the rest we see everyone we love from past books pop in. I loved every bit of book 3 and know you will too! Grab your copy as soon as you can!!

The thing I love about all of Nikki’s books are the fact they are so relatable. All the situations are ones I can imagine being part of. They are heart warming, and oh so funny and this latest book does not disappoint.
I dare someone to not love Jefferson. I want to live in their town. I love the fact that he has history with Kitty but has his own obstacles to get past.
This book is part of a series but you can 100% read this as a standalone, although you’d never resist reading the others in the series.
As per usual, this book is just fabulous, Nikki never disappoints!!!

Question 1: Where can I get me a Jefferson Delaney? Question 2: Can you swap your actual husband for a book boyfriend? Book 3 in the Dayton Valley series and I have to say, my favourite yet. Jefferson Delaney is a man of a certain age who has aged like a fine wine, and one that you want to get a bit drunk of. He knows what he wants and gets it. Talk about a fast mover. He meets his high school girlfriend after 30 years when she turns up as his son's wedding planner. The years have been good to Kitty too, but she has decided to return to Dayton Valley after a messy marriage breakup. The attraction is still there and they waste no time in getting down and dirty within a short time of being reacquainted. If you want some hot and steamy sex, and some hilarious escapades, an aging rock star ex-husband as well as a few tear jerkers this is the book for you. I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this book, and I was so excited to read it. Another great read from Nikki Ashton, can't wait for the next one.

Fabulous series full of laughs, tears, and joyous moments.
Reading this series will make you feel like you are part of this somewhat crazy but loveable bunch of family and friends, the author has a way of pulling you in where you feel involved in every moment and emotion.
This is the book I have been waiting for, finally, we get more of the hot sexy cowboy and dilf Jefferson.
I absolutely loved Jefferson, he was everything I envisaged and more.
The Beef Game is a second chance at love romance and a second chance romance.
Since the death of his wife, Jefferson hasn't exactly been a saint and has had his fair share of one-night stands but that is all he has ever allowed himself to have, he's a hot-blooded male who has yet to face his feelings and emotions after losing the love of his life. I have to admit, I did shed a tear or two in one of the chapters.
Kitty is the other main character in The Beef Game, she moves back to her childhood town after years of being away. Fleeing a marriage gone wrong, recovering from a divorce, Kitty is a woman trying to get her life back and grow her business as a wedding planner.
When Kitty finds herself planning the wedding of the son of her first teenage crush and first love Jefferson, the stars align, the sparks fly, and the chemistry flows. It's like they have never been apart but both have now got a past and things to deal with before moving forward as a couple.
I really enjoyed this book, mainly because the characters are older, they are mature but not without their cheeky moments. Kitty and Jefferson definitely rekindle and relive those horny teenage years.
You could read this book as a stand-alone but I would highly recommend getting to know the other characters, they are very much a part and active in this story and a big part of the plot.
Looking forward to whatever Nikki Ashton writes next

Once again a winner from Nikki, 5 stars are just not enough, it is full of fun, lots of emotions, and sex! one minute you are crying with laughter, the next crying with heartache, the perfect mix. I loved this book from the start to the end, the best so far in this series! I need a man like Jefferson.
After 30 years apart, Jefferson couldn't believe that his teenage girlfriend kitty was back and was his sons wedding planner, after receiving a stern warning to behave from his son not to ruin things and scare her off, Jefferson had different ideas. apart from his wife, Kitty had been the only other love of his life and he was determined that she would be again.
OMG the twins are hilarious in this book, the one liners make you howl with laughter.
Kitty and Jefferson seemed to be getting on well but they had a feeling that her daughter didn't like him, he wasn't her rock star dad, but that soon changed when she found out what her dad really thought.
The attention to detail is outstanding, you can visualise everything and feel like you are there with them. what is also really great is Jefferson and Kitty are an older couple, not that you would know it the antics they get up to, any time, any where, just three words "legs, waist, honey"
I was so sad when this book ended, I could read about Jefferson and Kitty forever, the chemistry was off the chart, there is so much I want to say but not giving any spoilers, you have to read it for yourself to see how awesome this book is, and how awesome Nikki is for writing it. I cant wait for the next book.

Honestly this author uses outstanding humour in her stories and it always has me laughing out loud. With The Beef Game being a middle-age romance it dealt with quite a lot of other issues and they were all handled smoothly.
Jefferson is such a gorgeous character that it’s hard not to fall a tiny bit in love with him as you read. He is a hardworking, straightforward man who cares for his family and friends deeply. Kitty is a wonderful character too and absolutely perfect for Jefferson. I love her sunny personality and zest for life. Together they are combustible and hokey pokey when they are passionate, it is red hot and you definitely need a fan. 😄
There are a lot of emotions floating around, and yep, you go from trying to catch your breath from laughing to wanting to slap a character soundly (to be polite), then onto trying to hold your heart together in truly poignant scenes, which are beautifully written.
Being the third book in this series it is good to have read the previous two but mainly because they are such fantastic stories. You really can read this book by itself but why would you when the quality of writing is so good. I can’t recommend this book and this sensational series enough.

I’m not sure what I loved more, the title, the cover or sexy AF silver fox, Jefferson Delaney. Hand to God, my kindle caught fire with how hot that man was. Thank you Nikki!

Kitty and Jefferson are in their late forties and they put the sexy into everything they do. I loved their off the charts chemistry and their witty banter. It was such a treat to read about two mature people sexing it up and finding their own special happily ever after.

A rom com with stacks of heart! Jeff and Kitty are fabulous leading characters, with life experience behind them which brings an added dimension and depth to a book which is also funny and compassionate. There is a strength and resilience in their characters which has been created by pasts which have taught them that life can kick you in the teeth. I loved every minute.
It is a rare thing to write a romantic comedy which also contains sorrow and new hope, but Nikki Ashton has succeeded without once resorting to sentimentality. Fabulous!💖💖💖💖💖

I was really looking forward to reading the next instalment and it lived up to my expectations.. Nikki has come up with the goods yet again and I fell completely in love (and lust) with Jefferson. This book has it all including plenty of laughs and plenty of sex. Great story, we catch up with all the characters and it leaves you wanting to dive straight into the next one. Too marks a gain, very entertaining read - hurry up and give us the next instalment Nikki.

I love Nikki Ashton’s book & I love her characters. But when Jefferson Delaney first appeared on paper, he instantly became my absolute favourite male lead that Nikki has written.
If you’ve read the previous books in the Dayton series, you will know that Jefferson Delaney is the widowed father of Hunter and still holds his late wife Sondra deep in his heart and soul. But when a grown up Kitty Comes back into his life , those teenage feelings come flooding back.
I loved the dynamic of both Jefferson and Kitty and the way Their fun flirty banter soon goes beyond flirting to red hot passion.
Humour sits alongside heartwarming and heartbreaking scenes.

If I could give this more than 5 stars I would give it.... 20!! I always think that Nikki has written her best book and then she goes and does this.
The chemistry from the first word is evident between Jefferson and Kitty. It is so hot, I thought my Kindle was going to melt.
I love the characters in this series especially the twins who have no filter. There is laughter, filth and also sadness with a hot chiseled tattooed cowboy, who is only one of a group of hot cowboys.
I can't wait for the next book in the series - next spring is too long.

Best book from the series by a mile!!
If you love yourself a second chance romance, a quick witted independent woman who knows her worth, a seriously sexy silver fox who is also a cowboy (wow), laugh out loud one liners and a whole lot of emotion then you HAVE to read this book!!
Jefferson Delaney is a character that from the first mentioned was stuck in my head! Nikki writes a silver Fox better than anyone else out there!!
Throughout The Triple Threat and The Jackpot Screwer we were gifted with snippets of the delicious Mr Delaney Senior but it was never enough!! Thankfully Nikki gave us his story early on in the series because I don’t think I could handle any more little snippets…I needed it all!! And my gosh did Nikki deliver!!
It was EPIC!! The chemistry was there with Jefferson and Kitty from the very beginning!! And it was steamy hot, burning the pages chemistry!! I didn’t know I loved a silver fox as much as I did before I read Nikkis books but wowzers I need myself one!
The Beef Game was jam packed with the signature laugh out loud amazing humour that I adore from Nikki’s writing but the heart stopping emotion written in these pages is what makes it unbelievably incredible!!
I don’t want to spoil it for those who are yet to read but the wardrobe scene was written in such a phenomenal way that I felt my chest get tight and a lump form in my throat before the tears slowly fell!!
I loved being able to check in with Hunter Ellie and the gang and reading how their lives are developing! Especially with the introduction of the newer members of the Dayton Valley residents! I have to mention Tate!! Nikki I was hooked from the mention of those glasses and history, I can’t wait to see how his story is written!! I want him…pretty please!!!
I say this with every single book from Nikki - I didn’t think it was possible to top the last book but this is most definitely the best written in the series!!

If you don't do anything else as you read The Beef Game by Nikki Ashton, you will certainly laugh... AND if you don't search YouTube, you are missing out... AND that's all before I even tell anything about the amazing the story of Jefferson and Kitty! Can you tell I'm excited?
The Beef Game is a second chance, high school sweethearts, small town romance that will knock your socks, or more aptly, your cowboy boots off!
Not only does Jefferson tick all those hot, protective cowboy boxes, he has eccentric twin sisters that make his life... interesting! And his friends, well they'll have you making sure your tena lady are properly in place.
The laughter however will be interspersed with the occasional welling up of the eyes and will perhaps require a tissue or two to help stem the flow as Jefferson finally lets go of Sondra, his dead wife.
Kitty is Jefferson's perfect match in every way and is happily accepted back into the Dayton Valley community after being away for more than 30 years.
Of course, there are rumours and speculation surrounding their newly kindled friendship... but you'll have to read it yourself to truly appreciate the whole story, including the welcome nod to our tattooed hottie Dex Michaels from Pelvic Flaws.
The Beef Game is absolutely worth a place on your TBR. I can assure you that you'll enjoy meeting Lily and Derek and Tate (albeit from afar) and quickly decide on those you wish to see more of.

The Beef Game is a second chance, high school sweethearts, small town romance that will knock your socks, or more aptly, your cowboy boots off!
Not only does Jefferson tick all those hot, protective cowboy boxes, he has eccentric twin sisters that make his life... interesting! And his friends, well they'll have you making sure your tena lady are properly in place.
The laughter however will be interspersed with the occasional welling up of the eyes and will perhaps require a tissue or two to help stem the flow as Jefferson finally lets go of Sondra, his dead wife.
Kitty is Jefferson's perfect match in every way and is happily accepted back into the Dayton Valley community after being away for more than 30 years.
Of course, there are rumours and speculation surrounding their newly kindled friendship... but you'll have to read it yourself to truly appreciate the whole story, including the welcome nod to our tattooed hottie Dex Michaels from Pelvic Flaws.

The beef game is the third book in Nikki Ashtons Dayton Valley series. Featuring none other than Jefferson *heart eyes* and his new lady love Kitty!
If you’ve read the past two books or if you haven’t and your trolling reviews for abit of light info here’s a mild scoop…
We’ve spent the last two books learning alottle about Jefferson’s past - including the death of his wife Sondra and his liaisons afterwards!
The beef game is a second chance romance (Jefferson and Kitty previously dated when they were teenagers), it has Nikkis trade mark humour but does a lot deal with the heavy emotions that come with the loss of a loved one.
I’m going to be frank generally I hate with a capital H Hate!!! a romance that features a deceased spouse as quite often the h in the story ends of second best or never EVER being able to live up to the ideal of the deceased spouse however after finishing the Beef Game didn’t leave me feeling like Kitty was second best or somehow lacking which is a very hard thing to achieve.
This book can be read as a stand-alone BUT if you want the full fun filled bend over laughing into exhaustion experience than you really should grab the other two.

If you thought Hunter Delaney was swoon worthy well prepare to fall for the original Delaney and see where Hunter learnt it all from!
God I’m so loving this series from Nikki! Like the other books this one will make you laugh but it is also filled with so much emotion. Honestly there is one part that took me forever to read as I couldn’t see through the tears.
Kitty was Jefferson’s firs girlfriend, first love but like all young love when they are separated when she moves away that love fizzles out. With her now back she is awakening things in Jefferson he thought had died with his late wife Sondra. Kitty is giving him a second chance at happiness.
I honestly adored Kitty and Jefferson together. They have both been through so much in their lives, in different ways, that they deserve this HEA.
Also who knew Hunter could take over from his dad in the advice stakes! Boy he has grown up well.
Even though this is a standalone in a series I would recommend you read the other books first. Not just because they are brilliant but because you do not want spoilers for the other characters reading this one first.

Nikki Ashton never disappoints, and the third installment in the Love in Dayton Valley series has just confirmed it, once again. The setting, plot, and characters are well-written.
Kitty has returned to Dayton Valley after a few years. She wasted many years in a toxic relationship. At first, she thought she made a mistake to return, but then saw her ex-boyfriend from high school and knew she didn’t make a mistake. It has been 30 years and, he is even hotter than all those years ago.
Jefferson has gone through a rough patch in his life, and he needs to deal with it first before he can commit to a long-term relationship. Old feelings have returned the moment he saw Kitty again.
They came into each other’s lives at the right time. Their relationship is special, and it can change both their lives in a good way.
I loved the story of Jefferson and Kitty. It was an emotional and exciting journey.
Sometimes it is better to let go and start a new journey with someone else.
The Beef Game can be read as a stand-alone. I need more of the series, and I will read the first two installments.

Nikki Ashton, the queen of the hilarious one liners is back, with the brilliant third book in the Dayton Valley series.
Jefferson and Kitty reunite when Kitty appears as the wedding planner for Ellie and Hunter, and the fireworks commence. With half a lifetime behind them, both have kids and a history, but somehow they navigate around it and have a lot of fun, until Kitty's Ex husband turns up to cause trouble.!
All the characters we have come to love return, including the Jefferson's sisters who seriously need a book of their own. The tales they could tell.
The Beef Game is still full of small town fun, and some seriously sexy moments with the hot silver fox. Nikki's descriptive writing is a sure way to be entertained. And honestly who doesn't love a story about a a hot and sexy Cowboy :)

Why should the kids have all the fun? Book 3 in this series and it's time to catch up with Jefferson one hunk of a dad (well look at the son) and an encounter with an old flame.
As usual Nikki brings humour and sensitivity to her stories. Some scenes I laughed so hard I had to read again. Whilst a wedding is planned of his son Jefferson is planning fun with the wedding planner. Quick fling or something more? Is Jefferson holding onto a ghost and will he be able to take that step?
As always his twin sisters add their crazy comments. Older kids. Ex husband. Friends. Weddings. A jolly caper that will make you smile and gives hope to an older age group who may feel love has passed them by.

Oh my “fans oneself” everyone needs a Jefferson in their life. I have waited fo his story since book 1 and I wasnt disappointed... I just love Jefferson. This is a second chance love story that has all the feels and I am so pleased that he got his 2nd chance at love and Kitty is a perfect fit for him. She doesnt mince her words or take any crap off anyone. There are fireworks as soon as they get together as their chemistry is off the charts and what she doesnt know is she helps to mend a broken heart. Its not all plain sailing though and that comes in the form of her ex by karma pulls out all the stops in this one and her ex doesnt know what hits him well other than Jefferson lol. I loved loved loved this book and I’m so looking forward to the next one.

Totally fell in love with this book. Kitty and Jefferson have the sparks flying not only when they were younger but now that they are older oh man it's hot. This insta-gotta have your story will make your blood pump in a good way. These two have had their own lives and their own ups and downs. Kitty now back where she felt herself is not only learning to live her life but for her business as well. When Jefferson enters again they will have a friendship like no other. *Swoon* I just loved this story and how it all comes together. Sometimes though even if you have the sparks and the hots for each other it may not be enough. Find out if these two will go all the way or just keep as friends.

I've been looking forward to this book releasing for a while! Oh Jefferson 😍😍 He is such a swoon inducing, hot as sin, slick talking, panty melting, silver fox cowboy! Kitty is such a perfect match for him and gives as good as she gets. There are plenty of highs and lows for Jefferson and Kitty, lots of steam and most of all humour. Don't read this book if it's the middle of the night and other people are sleeping as you will be laughing out loud. I love Nikki's humour and her books always make me laugh. Another fantastic addition to the Dayton Valley series. That tease for the next book at the end though 😱😱 eeeekkkkk can't wait!!!!!

Oh my what a book! Nikki Ashton is such a phenomenal author and every book she writes just gets better and better. Jefferson Delaney...what a male lead! Sexy, gorgeous cowboy! So nice to have a lead with some experience and a bit older. Like a fine whiskey he seemed to taste better with age.
This book, as with anything Nikki writes, gives you tears, a brilliant story, a twist (never expected either) and laugh out loud parts. And always a happy ever after.
I am absolutely loving the Dayton Valley series and I know these will be books that I read over and over again.

Prepare yourself for an emotional read. He lost the love of his life and it broke him. He protects his heart and will only hook up and not get into another relationship. He’s not ready to move on hence his man whore ways.
Until his high school love moves back. Holy smoke, the chemistry between Kitty and Jefferson is undeniable. They are so friggen cute together. However, Jefferson feels he’s betraying his wife heartbreaking to read. I loved the relationship between Jefferson and his son Hunter. Hunter is so sweet with his dad, given him encouragement and his blessing. A great read looking forward to the next one.
