Kael has seen into the mind of the enemy and witnessed an abomination beyond imagining.
Thousands of years of collaboration have allowed the Myndarym to construct a vast and complex system for exploiting the earth and its inhabitants. It is an ancient legacy of evil, and for the remnants of Null to destroy it, they must capture the system’s last surviving creator. Kael has only one advantage against this ruthless warrior, but leveraging it will take him through a battlefield of the world’s most advanced weaponry and expose his greatest weaknesses—patience and trust. The journey will bring them all together in ways they never thought possible, leading to a startling revelation that will shake the very foundations of the world.
In book six of Jason Tesar’s bestselling Awakened series, the epic saga spreads across the globe in a web of intricate schemes that weave together the genres of fantasy, sci-fi, and military fiction.
The third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative “middle child” who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. From adolescence to adulthood, his imagination continued to feed itself on a diet of books, movies, and art, all the while growing and maturing—waiting for its opportunity. Then, during a procession of monotonous, physically laborious day-jobs, his imagination leaped into motion, bringing together characters and locations of a world that would someday come to life on the pages of a book.
In late 1998, Jason made his first attempt at writing, managing to complete a whole scene before returning once again to reality. A year and a half later, a spontaneous night-time conversation with his wife encouraged him to take his writing seriously and to keep on dreaming. Over the next seven years, Jason carved time out of the real world to live in an imaginary one of epic fantasy, science-fiction, and military/political conflict. The fruits of this labor would later become the first three books of the bestselling AWAKENED series.
Due to the incredible support from readers around the world, Jason continued his trajectory into make-believe, jumping from stable employment in the micro-electronics industry into the mysterious abyss of full-time writing.
Living in Colorado with his beautiful wife and two children, Jason now spends the majority of his time fusing the best parts of his favorite genres into stories of internal struggle and triumph, friendship, betrayal, political alliances, and military conflict.

Very good book to conclude the coming battle, I felt that the ending was rushed and the Jason could have ran with a bit more tangents to throw at the reader to make it more suspenseful.
I didn't like the way book 5 ended. But since the series has been continuing for so many books after this. I figured it was me. So I read this one, or I read most of it. But I just can't get into it at all. I just don't like the way things went and there really is no way to change it. But if you like the story then this is written with the same style so you will most likely like this as well.
This is the first time I've ever read a series by Jason Tesar, and since I started this series, i.e. haven't been able to put it down. Now starting the last book of the series and I can't wait to see how it ends
Foundations of the World is the latest book in the Awakened series by Jason Tesar. I have been waiting for this book since I read book five a few months ago. At this point in the series there are plenty of fully developed characters and I highly recommend reading the synopsis of book five. I didn’t and even though it has only been a few months since reading book five, it took me a few chapters to remember all of the characters. As with all of the previous book, Foundations is packed full of action. I was hoping for a bigger battle between Armaros and Kael. There was some confusion for me as to what body Armaros was inhabiting at the time. Both are minor issues and didn’t detract from the overall experience. I was very thrilled to see that this shouldn’t be the last book of the series as I had feared. Jason has done such a good job in previous books in developing the characters to the point that you want to know more about them, and want to see them succeed. He has taken it a step farther in Foundations. He goes into the family life of the surviving members of NULL. The last third of the book was developing that side of the characters and setting up the next book. Another plot line that we finally got to witness is the reuniting of Kael’s parents. Adair and Mayern are back together, something that I have been waiting for since book one. Adair is also introduced to his daughter. There was more development of Saba as well. He finally became a character that I liked. He seemed week and over passive in previous books, which for me was difficult to take, since he is one of the Myndarym. I really love this book and as in the past I can’t wait for the next work from Jason Tesar.
When I started reading Foundations of the World; The Awakened Book Six, I was a little sad. I had no idea there is going to be a seventh book! The best news I have heard in a long time. The constant plot twists keep me stuck in this book, and on the edge of my seat. I can't imagine where the next book will lead. I guess that's why I am not an author.
This book and the ones that precede it are excellent. It is a mix of sci fi, conspiracy, mystery and adventure. It is unlike anything I have read as of yet and I can't wait for the next book.
