Arabella and Nore were destined to be together and from the moment he captured her heart, they were inseparable until an unexpected turn of events took him away from her.
Now every year on October 31st she waits for him to come back to her. Despite seeing him lowered in the ground she’s not convinced he’s dead because their connection was just that strong. If she has to wait the rest of her life she’s prepared to do just that.
I’m honestly not sure what the purpose of this story was. It was too short to provide anything of substance and was severely lacking in character development. We were left with too many unanswered questions and so much didn’t make sense to me. The chemistry and deep connection that AP wanted us to believe they had was nonexistent and to top it off we were left with a cliffhanger. Like why?! What was the reason?! This was a disappointing read because I’ve read other novella’s that AP has done really well however this one did not make the cut.

Girl you could have kept these 43 pages 🤣🤣🤣. Another cliffhanger and this long-winded foreshadowing war. I hope this war will be in full book. I forgot how this war even started.

Alright AP. Always good to be back in Ganton Hills. I see Cree and Rashee are still keeping busy, and this damn war is still raging huh?
Arabella has been longing for her Nore for three years, much to her family's dismay. They all want her to let him go and move on with her life. Bella is not trying to hear any of that noise, cause her man is not dead. She and Nore have an intense connection. She can feel him and knows that he is still in the land of the living. So, she lets them think what they want, as she knows that he will come back for her.
Well, finding out that Cree was behind all of this was interesting. Will he allow them to live happily as they planned, or will there be more "jobs" to do keeping them separated? That ending was promising, but you never know what will happen in Ganton Hills. Hmmm... winter is coming. Guess I just have to wait and see. 👍🏾👍🏾

Im so ready for this war to start and end already. While I do enjoy a good suspenseful buildup, this waiting game is getting old! Can we please get things moving so we can move on? It's feeling like we've been in limbo for far too long! Once again we’re left at the cliff. Ugh

This was a really good short but I want more lol. The way it ended kinna felt like something else was coming or maybe it was just me. But I was a little like wait, no don’t stop here lol.

This is a story that felt like I was dropped into it while the story was already in full swing. Not going to lie, there was so much going on in the first chapter I didn't really grasp the story until about chapter 2 (and the story is less than 50 pages).
By no means was it a bad story. I just wish (for my reading experience) that it hadn't been so fast paced to the point that I feel like it was over just as it was really getting into it. For what it was, it was a decent story. I just wish I didn't have a handful of unanswered questions at the end.

This was a good and quick tease. AP why would you leave us on a cliffhanger like that? What is coming in the winter? I need to know dfl. Arabella and Nore were so cute to me. A man that wants to know and love your mind first is a keeper. Had that man reading books just to get a date.
I was not prepared for Nore to disappear for three years but anything can happen on Halloween night! The soul tie between those two has to be tied tight honey lol. Can you imagine being so in tune with someone that even in death, you know they are not really gone. Three years is a long time but when your heart and mind is in love with that person, time stands still. My favorite part of everything was I’m your Raven and I’m your Shrew.
Now I’ll be patiently waiting on winter lol because did my girl get her ring, car and babies but most importantly her man forever.

The sacrifices of war
When you’re a soldier in a war you have to always be ready. You have to do your mission and follow all orders. No matter how faraway you have to go, how long away you have to stay, even becoming a ghost, and regardless how much you sacrifice to do it. Arabella is a casualty of this war. She has been sitting in waiting for her soldier love to return home to her - she sits, reads, sanity questioned, no social life - just waits. In war there’s always loss. Nore is the best soldier, but sometimes the soldier needs R&R. Winter can’t come soon enough!

Nore and Bella
Super short read but definitely gave me the feels. Preparing for the war that is on the horizon after making a mistake, Nore is hidden to protect Bella. However, everyone believes Nore is gone forever and Bella is losing her mind refusing to accept that he is gone.
As the heart would have it, Nore has had enough (I’m talking about joining the book club and all) and decides to be the Raven to see his beautiful Bella, his Shrew.

Waiting three years is insane…
but I’m glad Arabella got her happily ever now. I can’t wait to see where this “war” goes and how it plays out. Now I gotta go read another series to get the back story on the other ppl declaring war…I swear what Aubree did in order to make sure you read all her books. Not that anybody would need convincing but honestly if you’re like me you wanna know what’s next and what happened!

A Tease
This was a quickie with not much time to really develop the story. There were so many holes, but it was still interesting. Arabella and Nore’s connection to each other was intense. His life was so chaotic. He seemed like such a bad choice for her. Yet, I couldn’t root against him because of the soul tie that they shared. I’d love to know more about their reunion.

The Hills Baby
I trip to Ganton Hills is something I always look forward to and I must say I enjoyed Nore and Arabella. This story was short and spicy and I was left wanting more. There no place like The Hills.

I can appreciate their story. I felt for Annabelle because she was so suspended in life. I feel their story was a bit rushed and while it’s connected, it feels like something is missing.
