We're back in Wintermoon, but this time for Jacob's story. In this installment we meet Jacob, a wolf shifter that's been in wolf form since the first Great War over a thousand years ago, who has recently made Wintermoon his home because he's been led to believe his mate will be there, and Angie, a single mom of four who's just discovered she's a witch. Jacob and Angie's story was so interesting because Angie initially wanted no part of Jacob and his brutish ways, but with each interaction they had together, she and the kids brought out the softer side of him. Watching Jacob rediscover his humanity and step into the role of mate and father was everything. The Wintermoon series as a whole continues to be so interesting because the central plot is so enthralling. I literally was on pins and needles at the end wondering if the group was going to prevail.
Side note: King Amir has to get these hands because why, sir?
There was sooo much to love about this book but there were quite a few things that I simply didn't enjoy.
While for the first 16% of the book Angie was insufferable as all hell, I really grew to like her. She's a badass who is dedicated to her kids. Jacob in turn is dedicated to her. Their romance was intense but cute...and honestly fun because Jacob is still learning how to be a human.
My issues really come from the other story lines occurring in tandem with our romance. TW; sexual assault.
When Jacob meets Hazel (the witch he runs with for a decade) she has recently been SA'd. The visual described of the aftermath is graphic and that is never discussed again in the book. It's clearly fodder for the next book/books but since it didn't move the story in this book, could have been left out of made less graphic.
We're told that Kade has beef with Leah's (her wife) sister because her sister drugged her and tried to sell her into sex trafficking. Which, while it explained the tension between the two of them....did nothing for the current story.
The author used this book as a vehicle to do an immense amount of world building but also background for the next volume and baby I have never wanted to read something less. King MF'n Amir....I wish him nothing but the absolute worst. Terrible leader, terrible king, terrible warlock/vampire...whatever. I hope his mate hates him and is killed. I want him to suffer. Forever. And then for another century after that. What a selfish trash bucket of a warlock/vampire...whatever.
All in all...great romance, good book, cute couple....wishes of suffering to Amir.

Listen, each book just keeps topping the last. So many bombs were dropped—the real reason behind the Great War, the Elders and Fate playing chess, not checkers. Angie and Jacob were the heart of Wintermoon and are truly made for each other. Jacob being in wolf form for a thousand years didn’t stop him from being a munch! Meoooow. Amir, you in danger! Because why would you play
ARC Review ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️ 3.5 First thank you to the author for sending an advance copy of Saving Jacob! The theme of Book 3 is Surrender and Sacrifice. We meet Angie and Jacob in previous books as supporting characters, and now we get to witness their love story. Angie is a chef and single mom of 4 children. She has recently learned that her and her 3 daughters are witches from a sacred powerful bloodline. On top of that her son is a warlock. In an effort to step into her newly discovered gifts and support her children Angie has to sacrifice her career as a chef plus her residency on tourist island, and trust Wintermoons magnetic pull calling her home. While she is in denial Jacob is currently living in wintermoon searching relentlessly for his mate. Jacob is a lone wolf shifter who lived thousands of years in his wolf form only recently living with his cousins, House of Zorah. Prior to coming to wintermoon he briefly acted as guardian for Hazel, a Bailey witch, and essentially lifted a curse that was plaguing supernaturals for thousands of years. In an incredible sacrifice he worked together with the very bloodline that casted the cursed spell just to have the opportunity to meet his fated mate. And the moment he finally gets a whiff of her honey scent and sets eyes on Angie nothing is the same !! Everything about their union is unconventional. She’s a witch, he’s a wolf. She has 4 kids and he is a virgin. Angie has created life and family while Jacob has done everything he can to suffer alone. This pairing is the first of its kind and it is pivotal to the continuation of the series. We learn deep family secrets. We watch Angie and Jacob surrender to fate. And we witness something magical. I cried. I laughed. I loved this story. It was raw but also very delicate. Jacob was fighting some inner demons and Angie was fighting some surface ones. I loved the found family of it all. And the resilience and commitment to family.
Unfortunately I didn’t enjoy this one…too many plot holes and confusion for me. I think introducing a storyline with a witch was a whole other ball game and this book needed to be a bit more longer and thorough, instead we got multiple time jumps and subplots that didn’t make much sense. I also want to address how Nia’s behavior has been a prominent problem in the series (plus Levi actively enabling her and barely reprimanding her for it) but it was resolved with just an apology and her just giving up a responsibility she never wanted in the first place. Her acting like a tyrant and Levi being prejudiced and acting childish towards Angie and her kids was such an odd thing to make a big deal but everyone just forgives them….they’re terrible leaders LOL. Angie also had a nasty attitude towards Tami when she found out about her mate but she too was also instantly forgiven, I’m sensing a pattern of no one taking accountability for their actions. Next I want to touch on how Jacob barely had any personality and was basically a side character in his own story, like seriously he barely could protect his family. The only person with sense was Kane when he wanted to move to the community lands because House of Zorah was tripping. I could break down so many things about this book but I’ll just leave with one last thing…that Eric definitely SA’d Angie right…? I mean you can’t put a spell on someone to make them into you (AND have multiple kids) and make it consensual…..

This is my favorite book of the series so far. The hits, turns, etc. just kept coming. The reveals were so good. The world that Tessa Stone has made is glorious. This book needs to be on a streaming platform. It is soooo good. Hands down, the Wintermoon Series is my new favorite series, periodt!
Let me get this off my chest....I'm a fan-girl over this series but this one just didn't work for me. Some are personal biases (I'm not interested in seeing witches) but a lot was just the pull off. The things that didn't work for me is because of what I love about this series.
🖤 seeing BM and BW as shifters/paranormal creatures and finding fated mates. Black men loving up and down their Black women. 🖤 breeding and the lots of breeding with great freaky deaky smex scenes 🖤 seeing the shifter groups keep their own identity and culture while showing up for one another 🖤 a Black focused fantasy in an urban setting and it was Pro-Black AF
So to that end what didn't work out for me is this: 😬 this felt less like a romance a lot like Angie: The Witching Beginning. The biggest draw for this novel was Jacob and watching him find love. Unfortunately a large part of the story and narrative is focused entirely on Angie, on her kids, on her journey to the Witching Glen, on her learning to use her powers, etc. This was more of a Romantic Women's Lit. I swear I swear. The first 10% was about Jacob and his loneliness and wanting to see his mate. I wanted to give him a hug. The next 40% is really about Angie. Her choices, her decisions, her thoughts. And someone said Jacob felt like a side character in his own story and he does...he totally does. He's the holder of the key but we don't get enough of him with that burden as we do with Angie. He was the hero on the battelfield we get a little starch of the fallout from that and how others feel about that because we are focused on Angie Angie Angie. The last 50% of the book is focused on Angie learning her magic and gearing up.
😬 She's a witch so she can spell her womb to not get pregnant. So no breeding and no OTT love making scenes. I loved the twist with Jacob being a virgin but their sex scenes still lacked a lot of sizzle, which didn't have to be the case. Just didn't have any of the strong hot steamy explicit scenes that Tessa Stone excel at. And felt more like a lot of the sex scenes were from Angie's pov or perspective.
😬Since Angie's a witch we never get the cool little deets, like was the honey connected to her African Ethnic group/community? Angie "the Witching story begins" starts so what happened to her Cafe? Don't know I guess don't care. The story line gets dropped almost immediately. There also isn't any of the fun mating bond stuff. No copious amounts of sexing down. No really feel like this is a Black AF story with the allegory of the humans being anti-Shifters and the references to Detroit. Those tidbits added to the discussions in the past books but are absent here.
😬I love the focus is on Black shifters and the Black culture in general gets a lot of love but it never quite sat right that Damon and Kade (two white people had that type of leadership or power in the communities). But it was a small little niggle that didn't bother me hugely Kade and Damon barely get page time. And the shifters themselves seemed a little ambivalent. Whelp here we get a looot of Kade than just in the background. Kade has more moments as Angie's sidekick (I know I get that it's bc she is a witch) than we do seeing Jacob and Angie truly bond. We also get a mouth dropping moment where Angie basically tells Kade she's this great leader, mother figure she gives full allegiance to her over Amir. The optics of that was...not my fav. Amir...how he is handled here was entirely disappointing. Amir is this super powerful Black male fae figure and to have he neutered like he was, was...um. Not my fav thing. The way Kade got this propping up over a Black powerful paranormal figure was...a choice.
And another thing! My other issue outside of Kade. The plot holes were really big. Aya was just 'splaining stuff like a villain and the not defeating her was really convoluted and made zero sense. Eric was an odd touch with odd narrative choices there. A real "but what was the reason!" I wish he had more depth and nuance instead of what we did get which was surface level. The witches in the Witching Glen were all so one-note. I hate when certain nuggets get dropped and we are meant to already know??? Or just gloss over it??

So far Saving Jacob was my favorite book in the series. There was so much to unpack in this book. Not only is Angie saving Jacob but she is also discovering who she is and sis is bad a**. I loved how we got more of the pack and how things unfolded with the others. I do feel like I was left with so many questions about Jacob and Angie’s family now so I hope we get some answers in Amir’s book. Tessa has been really good at putting all the pieces of the puzzle together with each book. This isn’t one of those series where you can skip around, I recommend reading each book in order. Wintermoon has had me in a chokehold and I’m ready for more.
I’ve been enjoying this series overall and not only is Tessa a new-to-me author, I’m new to the dark paranormal romance genre.
We’ve caught glimpses of Jacob & Angie throughout the other installments in the series but in this book, we dive into their stories. Jacob is a wolf shifter who laid his life on the line in The Great War (which started for the PETTIEST reason imo) and lost everything. Angie is a single mother to 4, a chef, and just found out she’s a witch… and Jacob’s fated mate.
As far as character development, While each book in this series thus far holds the same elements: boy meets girl, they have a power struggle about going to Wintermoon, they fall in love etc etc this one was different because Angie was already in Wintermoon finding her rhythm after coming to terms with the fact that she & her children are full blown witches & warlocks. Jacob is also already in Wintermoon, isn’t the most confident & needs a bit more help than most to acclimate into being a part time human lol
Jacob’s honesty and vulnerability was so heartwarming. He really loved Angie & them kids! Angie’s character came a long way too. When we met her in Tami’s book, she came off bitter & jealous because she didn’t live in Wintermoon but this story brought her full circle.
This one had just the right amount of honesty, history, spice, and love ❤️ looking forward to the final installment but a story I REALLY want to know about is Nia & Levi’s.
I think it's messed up Jacob waited over 1000 years for his mate, never sleeping with anyone but the author let his mate sleep with and have several kids by someone else. Their were quite a few contradictions in this book. No explanation of how Hazel came to be raped by a human when she's a powerful witch. Why did Anya turn on supernatural. I think it would of been nice if Hazel had of been Jacob's mate instead. I still don't like Angie from the first book in this series. And how does Leah forgive her sister for drugging her and selling her to a sex trafficking ring. The fact that she's even mad at Kade for being mad about this is bullshit. I'm just like what the fuck did I just read?????!!! And why couldn't King Amir whose triple supernatural destroy his sister? Why did it take Angie being a fledgling to do it? King Amir is a pos. I can't believe he stopped them from killing Anya after all the death and destruction she caused. I don't give a fuck that's his demented fuck up sister. Makes me wonder if this author got this from the show Supernatural. Sounds an awful lot like it.....
Oh Jacob! I love that he found his happiness and peace. And Angie is just pure bad ass!!! I love their story and the overall developments happening within the series regarding the future of Wintermoon and its leadership 🤗
This was probably the best so far. Loved that His got out in her place. Think Kane should be Alpha, though. I'm not understanding the Queen part. I will read the next book.
Dark Paranormal Romance is a first for me… of many!! And this cover is absolutely stunning 😍!!
Jacob is a wolf who has been downtrodden and roaming around sullenly for thousands of years until he meets a witch who tells him that he’s going to find his fated mate. This news gives him hope and fuels his hunt…
Angie, a witch and single mom of 4 children, is his fated mate. Together they join forces to save their community from their biggest op, Aya Bailey.
During the cold snap we recently had I decided to try something different and this cover gave “cozy winter read”.
I’m so glad that I stepped out of my shell and tried something different because this was a terrific reading experience. I loved the main characters and the other wolf pack and family we get a glimpse of.
What I loved most is that even though this is paranormal romance/fantasy, the story had a human element that made it easy to read and get into. Kinda like dark fantasy romance for beginners, which is perfect for me.
I loved this wolf/witch world. I loved how they started to see their powers - Angie and her children - emerge and how they worked so magically together. Jacob and Angie’s chemistry was magnetic, she really stirred up the beast mode in Jacob🐺! It was hotttt 🥵
Let’s get into the narration: the male narrator Myles Washington was fantastic. His raspy, rushed tone was exactly how id think a wolf would sound like. A little Pop Smoke-ish
My only regret is that I didn’t start at the beginning of the series. This was a winner and I highly recommend 🐺
I'm truly blown away at how good this book is. Tessa Stone has created one of the dopest shifter storylines. Saving Jacob had me glued to the pages, literally fell asleep with my kindle in my hand because I didn't want to put it down. I loved seeing Jacob's growth within himself and also The House of Zorah. The way he loved Angie and her kids just warmed my heart. I also enjoyed seeing Angie's growth as well., sis had to pop out and show them that she wasn't just a single mom of 4 kids. This story is just jammed packed with so many things that's going to keep you pulled in and on the edge of your seat. There's moments of happiness, sadness and moments that are just going to down right piss you off, heart warming moments and moments that's going to have cracking up laughing. I'm looking forward to King Amir's book but I must say that I'm sad his book will be that last in the series. I 10 out of 10 highly recommend. Happy reading 💙
I know the whole Wintermoon Series. I will be sad when this series ends....hopefully we get to continue to learn about the Great War and the shifter babies. I love Angie's growth from Kane/Tami's book. She had a lot to work through from being the single provider for her children "Coven" to learning how to release control and allow help in the form of her fated mate/family (pack). Jacob is the humble hero. He knows the reason he saved the supernatural world was because he wanted his fated mate. In his mind, he does not need to be recognized he has his prize "Angie" and the found family, the kids, and the House of Zorah. I can't wait for loving Amir. I'm interested to see how Saga of "Aya" unfolds. I personally loved Nia's change of heart and how the House of Zorah and the Ash Clan made amends. Wonderful job, Tessa Stone. Thanks for the opportunity. Now, I have to wait until January for Loving Amir.

I have been wai👏🏾ting👏🏾 for this book since “Taming Kane”. Jacob’s story intrigued tf out of me when we got snippets so I was excited to read “Saving Jacob”.
“Saving Jacob” is slightly different than the other books in the Fated Mates and Wintermoon series. While it does focus on the fated mate relationship between Jacob and Angie, the Second Great War subplot develops A LOT in this book and there’s some action (that’s not just sex). I appreciated that because the subplot does interest me but also, by this point, we already know how things go down between wolf shifters and their fated mates.
I really liked Jacob and how unintentionally funny he was. He’s not my favorite Zorah member (because Gabriel will always hold that torch) but Jacob’s chapters always put a smile on my face. He has an air of innocence to him. I’d even argue he’s a little more innocent than Sam (the dragon shifter). I also liked that he was able to easily bond with Angie’s kids and that they see him as their father. Which, by the way, Eric ain’t shit. I’ll admit that I like that Eric is self aware about his ain’t-shitness though.
I liked Angie wayyy more than I thought I would. In “Taming Kane”, she rubbed me the wrong way when she was talking out the side of her neck at Tami. “Saving Jacob” redeemed Angie for me though. I really liked that she was a straight shooter and opened to learning all that she could about her lineage but also House of Zorah.
Olivia is still my fave of the Zorah women, so I was happy she appeared quite a bit in this book. I like Tami too so her presence was also welcomed; however Nia’s wasn’t. Like I get that she’s fated to Levi or whatever but can it be a mistake? Lol. Maybe I’ll like her more since she’s stepped down. I guess I’ll find out when Levi and Nia’s story is released on the blog.
I was looking forward to reading the bonus scene but didn’t find one on Tessa Stone’s website. Maybe one will be uploaded later 🤷🏾♀️
EDIT: The bonus scene was released after I wrote this review and basically Jacob and Angie are doing some serious f*cking in it. Angie does something while they’re screwing that leads to Jacob wanting to kill Eric but I don’t want to spoil how that came about. And aside from that, Angie figured out that she can fly.
I truly did enjoy this book. The stakes were high and I loved it. When we first met Angie way back in Book 1, I did not like her. I know her situation as a struggling, single mom was rough, but I did not like how she was hating on my girl Tami. Fast forward and now Angie is one of my favorite characters. She’s just so different from the other FMCs. While everyone else cowered in fear because they are no match for them, Angie was not scared of Aya or Amir and let them know it.
Then we have Jacob. Gabriel is my favorite shifter, him and Tristan, but Jacob is right there in the conversation. He’s so rugged but so vulnerable at the same time. When he thought that Angie was rejecting him, my heart broke for him. Jacob deserved love and I’m glad he found it. He’s great with his bonus children, he started to make a true connection with the pack, and he loved Angie down. Loved that.
And the fight scene with Aya and Angie… chef’s kiss. I love a well-written witch. In Harry Potter, Bellatrix is my favorite, and no matter what you feel about her, Aya Bailey is that girl. She had them SHOOK!
Lastly, I have an unpopular opinion: Nia, though very mean, has every right to be bitter. Levi never allowed her to adjust to her new life and she’s been struggling. On top of that, she’s rightfully triggered by Olivia, even though she’s not the same that she used to be. She’s allowed to feel a way. I wouldn’t want a relationship with the person who used to be bully me, either, no matter how much time has passed. I say that to say, Levi bears as much responsibility for the friction in his pack as Nia does and he needs to step down. The way he treated Angie and her kids is crazy. Let Kane be the new alpha. Levi has not shown great leadership skills once this entire series.
I cannot wait for Amir’s book, because Angie’s threat at the end has me very intrigued.
Love takes time to heal when you're hurting so much...
I feel as if this book is such a full circle moment
We always hear about Jacob the lone wolf in passing. We know of Jacob, but we don't know who he is and how he became to be. He is often "othered" in comparison to the rest of the pack or supernaturals in general. In this novel we get to learn the intricate details of the duality between Jacob and his wolf, including the innerworkings of his morals, beliefs, and values. The pain from losing his family is so great that he does not want to continue to exist in this world and feels he has no purpose--all he knows is depression, loneliness, and rage.
At first that rage is tied to a witch by all purposes is involved by not only association but by manipulation from a powerful witch, Aya, her mother. The rage Jacob possessed at the time simmers down after realizing that him and the witch, Hazel, are one in the same and are twin flames in how they view and also feel about themselves. Upon their meeting and discovery of this common ground, both Jacob and Hazel decide to form a pact to rid the world of the supernatural evil witch, Aya, that is the root cause of both their pain as well as the pain of many others. This is not a hero act for Jacob but an act that gains much reward. In forming a pact with Hazel, Jacob would gain the knowledge of finally finding his fated mate. As harrowing as it is to be in the company of a witch, Jacob is willing to make the sacrifice for a chance at happiness for him and his wolf.
A spontaneous trip into town leads Jacob face to face with, Angie, his fated mate, where he attempts to kidnap her and run into the mountains albeit his pack and her family. Through their journey in learning about one another and what it might mean to coexist with people that are not like you, they begin to heal and also find common ground in wanting to protect Wintermoon. Their story is an intricate one that isn't a straight path--rather it branches off like trees in that one's path is often intertwined with another for a reason or in this case fate. I was going through many emotions like a rollercoaster while reading this book, because it is one of many testimonies that will pull at one's heartstrings. I both love and hate the headspace it put me in because family and oneself is very important, and a person can relate to the many themes in this story that was intimate and made me feel vulnerable. Everyone no matter what it might look like deserves love. Love is not always simple and certainly not perfect is one of the many themes that I was pleasantly surprised to unravel while reading this book. These two broken individuals are willing to risk it all for love, family, and future. I literally was moved to tears reliving those special moments going on within the family dynamic because for me it hit a little close to home. It definitely is worth reading more than once. There is a lot of backstory provided so a new reader would not be lost, but to truly appreciate what's going on it is imperative to have read the first two books in the series. For me personally it wouldn't hurt to read all of the books for a richer understanding. From my experience it's easy to feel strongly attached and protective of the characters in the novel while feeling like you're a part of a familial community.
Ugh! I hate to say it but I'm done with this series. This turned into a rage read because while this series has the bones for a good story, the execution was terrible. I feel like the writing just kept getting worse through each book. I had issues with the writing in the first book but I was okay with just letting it go. It was more glaring in the second book and this book I just wanted to DNF, but I hate doing that so I powered through. But I won't force myself to read the last book.
I'm genuinely very confused by the high ratings in this series. Besides feeling like this was series was like watching a really bad hallmark movie. This book was so confusing. I couldn't follow along with character's behaviors. Like how does Angie go from a mad man that she's never met in her life just grabs her, throws her over his shoulder about to kidnap her like some caveman to oh I'm his mate, let me just pack up my things and my children and move in with him same day, while in the same breath talking about how she doesn't trust men. Also, so many other contradictory things like in one chapter she's talking about how her mother didn't miss an opportunity to tell her what a disappointment she was, and two chapters later she's like I her mother was her rock and how she wished her mother were still alive to help her through everything. Oh and the time line of everything like Olivia just figures out she's pregnant and five days later she has enough of a belly to balance her hand on? Not to mention conclusions and emotions that made no sense. For example Angie saying she's gonna go to the witches Glenn for two days to learn what she needs to learn to go up against Aya and Jacob runs off because that to him translates to she's rejecting him. Bruh! She said two days! The melodramatics of the kids going off to school and she's acting like she's never going to see them again for the rest of her life. Kade holding a grudge against Leah's sister for drugging Leah and selling her into sex trafficking, but Leah and everybody else are looking at Kade like she's crazy for holding a grudge. Oh and naming one of the kids Aya like the evil witch and another of the babies Julian like the dude that was stealing fated mates and shifter babies and kidnapped Tami in the first book. Make it make sense, I beg! 🙏 I could keep going, but I won't 🤦♀️ I'm sorry, not a fan 🫤

Tessa Stone Saving Jacob: A Dark Paranormal Romance (Fated Mates Book 3)
Jacob has felt adrift since the devastating war that claimed his entire family along with everything he once cherished. In many ways, it seems he lost a part of himself, as the ability to perceive his life as meaningful slipped away. However, a glimmer of hope emerged when he discovered that his mate was out there, leading him to Angie and her wonderful children, who reignited his spirit and gave him a renewed sense of purpose.
I have thoroughly enjoyed this series and each book within it. Jacob, a gentle and caring individual, grappled with profound sadness after losing everything dear to him. Yet, through Angie and her children, he found a new sense of hope and vitality. He embraced his pack, welcoming them as his new family.
Angie is truly an extraordinary woman—an affectionate mother and a compassionate soul. Despite the hardships she faced after her children's father abandoned them, she never lost hope. Tami offered her and her children a fresh start on the island, but her arrival there was no coincidence; fate had a plan, bringing her to Jacob when she needed him most.
This narrative was captivating and kept me engaged throughout. The children added a delightful dimension to the story, and every character played a significant role in the series. While Angie and Jacob's connection blossomed, the story also allowed us to discover their individual identities. The children had the chance to grow and carve out their own paths, a daunting prospect for any mother. Yet, Angie exemplified the essence of motherhood, sometimes having to trust her instincts and let her children venture out into the world. This was a beautifully woven tale that I truly enjoyed. The author is immensely talented, and I eagerly anticipate more of her work. It’s available on Kindle Unlimited, and I highly recommend it.
Saving Jacob by Tessa Stone, the 3rd book of the series Fated Mates, is one heck of an urban paranormal romance book, with unexpected twists and turns that explore grief, trauma, and healing. Jacob, a wolf shifter, has been in his own hell for a thousand years. And during his rock bottom, he gets an unexpected witch at his doorstep.
He realizes who the witch is and instantly wants to tear her head off. But little does he know, she will be the key to everything he ever hoped, dreamed, and prayed for. Being alone for over a thousand years with no family, friends, or mate can be torture for anyone. But hanging with this witch gives him hope to one day meet his fated mate.
Angie, on the other hand, is a single mom with 4 kids. She was first mentioned in the first book of this series, Fated Mates, in the book Taming Kane. She worked in the home care industry in the human world until she was brought to Tourist Island as a cook, nested in Wintermoon.
Though life in Tourist Island is cool and all, until she finds out she’s a witch. And not just any witch. Her bloodline was big steppers back in the day. And once she finds out who her fated mate is, she flips out because he is just not normal. But he’s not a regular-degular guy either. He’s a big deal in the supernatural world, Wintermoon, but he’ll never take credit for it.
Angie and Jacob have more in common than they think. And together, they can be a true power duo. But they both have to heal from past trauma, confusion, and grief before they can see their true power and purpose.

There is a lot stuff going on with these characters. .These stories are so enjoyable that they make for great reading. Got enough yet I hope not because this story is so captivating. ENJOY!!
Jacob!!!! Now I thought I was in love and for sure lust with the other wolf shifters, but Jacob is something different. Not only is Jacob a gentle soul who has lost everything he just wants to find love and would be so good with staying to himself. I laughed so much in this book because Jacob not having shifted into his human form for so long sees things as pointless. To be fated with a single mother of 4 and your mate is a witch at that the same witch bloodline that wiped your whole bloodline out! Their pairing is unheard of but all the doors it opens is something else for the supernatural’s. 🤣🤣🤣How he claimed his mate had my crying real tears of laughter. This plot was plotting, and I was here for it. This book showed so much resilience. Watching Jacob with Oliva and Tammie trying to show him how to be around humans and him now having his mate care for him without making him feel like he is doing things wrong was a sweet. Jacob being a virgin didn’t stop our boy from showing out he looked at Angie as he Prey you hear me. Our boy was a quick learner too!!!! On top of that he literally has an instant family and is loving every second of it and wants nothing more than to be accepted by the kids. The kids loving how he loves on and for their mother brought me to tears. Now the Luna of the pack what is her deal like girl you just don’t like no one do you? Why does Levi not make her submit like his is not the Alpha. I didn’t read his book and its shows because, I need to know how she came to be as they use that as her excuse to why she acts the way she does. I was side eying King Amir with this book because sir? Jacob and his “sister” in Hazel are so pure and I loved how they both still light up when they see each other.
Tessa Stone has done it again with Saving Jacob! As the third installment in the series, this story seamlessly picks up where the first two books left off, weaving an engaging and heartfelt tale that left me hooked from start to finish.
Jacob’s modesty is so refreshing and makes him an unforgettable character. The way he loves Angie and her kids is nothing short of beautiful. He’s protective, patient, and loves them unconditionally. And then there’s Aaron, what an incredible character! I couldn’t help but fall in love with him too. His presence adds so much depth to the story, and I truly hope we get to read more about him in future books.
This was my first foray into Paranormal Romance, and Tessa Stone has made me a fan of the genre! Her storytelling is immersive, her characters feel real, and the emotions she conveys are palpable. For anyone on the fence about diving into this series, I highly recommend starting from the beginning, you won’t regret it!
I can’t wait to see what Tessa writes next. She’s a new favorite author of mine, and I’m so glad I gave this genre a chance. Paranormal romance fans and newcomers alike; don’t sleep on Saving Jacob!
Gifted an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review - Thank you for trusting me with it, Tessa
Anyone who knows me knows that Paranormal Romance began my obsession with reading. The bummer is that not many PnR books feature Black people or any sort of POC, which is why I was so frickin' stoked when I happily came across this series.
Saving Jacob is the 3rd book in the Tessa Stones' Fated Mates series and I can honestly say that I have devoured all three books in the span of 48hrs (per book). This story follows Jacob and Angie discovering who they are separately and who they are to one another. A witch and a wolf shifter are fated mates who, albeit, start on rocky ground but eventually find their rhythm and sense of belonging. If you love paranormal romance with a FMC who's discovering how powerful she is and a dominant, possessive and violent MMC shifter who is an absolute simp for his mate and a beautifully written story then this book is for you (Quite frankly, this WHOLE series is for you!). You won't regret it, I promise!
I'm excited for what's to come in the next book! At this point, I'll read anything that Tessa writes.
Ms. Stone is 3 for 3, SHE DOES NOT MISS! This book really propels the story forward with learning more about the Supernaturals and Wintermoon's history. Things are really heating up and I can't wait to read the next book to see what happens.
As far as the love story goes, this book follows Jacob. Although he's supposed to be a little rough around the edges, he's so sweet and endearing. Angie is also such a good character. Her being a single parent and having to carry so much weight on her shoulders was written beautifully. You could feel how this was about 2 people who just really needed each other. Love and acceptance were big themes in this book. Also, I think this book was more plot based with some spice sprinkled in. The romantic tension is there but this is more of a slow burn because of the other elements happening alongside their relationship. Overall, it was a really nice love story and I was happy for them both.
This book does tackle some heavy subject matters like sexual assault, grief, depression, abandonment, violence, etc. But it's not so upsetting that it brings the mood of the book down. It has a happy ending.
I truly love this book for so many reasons. I really enjoyed the characters of Jacob and Angie. Jacob was an honorable man. I like the fact that he finally found love with his mate after so many centuries. I also love the fact that he was able to finally have a family through Angie outside of his cousins/brothers. He loved her children instantly. It was interesting that his mate was a witch. It was also interesting to see how she was going to integrate with the family. Angie was a very strong person with so many layers to her. Jacob ends up learning a lot about himself and what he is truly capable of. What kept my attention was Jacob and Angie's passionate love.🌶️🌶️🌶️🔥🔥🔥🌡️🌡️🌡️❤️❤️❤️ Also seeing Angie and her children maturation into their magic. And I'm definitely not forgetting the epic battle between Aya and Angie...Awesome. I was also happy that the Luna situation was resolved. I am glad that there was some more information revealed on why Nia felt the way she did. As I said before, I really enjoyed this book and cannot wait to read the next one in the series. King Amir seems like a very interesting character I want to know more of. Thank you.
Who knew it would take so much to save Jacob ? Like from the previous books I completely understand what they had to endure and I really hate that for them but it just seems as though Jacob had it the hardest.. I’m not sure if I can say he reaped the biggest rewards but I do know that his heart is finally full and he now knows what it feels like to have love , family and purpose. The ending was a BIG plot twist that I wasn’t expecting and I’m the mind blown emoji until I finish this last installment and get some answers! House of Zorah we’ve come so far together lol and Aya Bailey can’t keep winning ! Idgaf WHO sister, mama, cousin, aunt etc she is! I just need the leaders of Wintermoon to do their big one because Angie gone do what she gotta do for kids and her man ! She’s loved Tami like family well before this so I need everyone to get real “one band one soundish” expeditiously! I’m going to be sooooo hurt if any of my babies get hurt and be sick frfr if someone dies!! Where is my Stella Rosa Black ? Turn the heater up…
