More than one hundred years ago, the Blackston pack of Twinbrook, Pennsylvania split into two distinct factions after a struggle for dominance between two alphas. The Hillrunners remained in the forest, roaming the hillside. The Blackston wolves took to living with human beings, assimilating and attempting to live "ordinary" lives. Now, the bitter rivals are meeting once more, seeking out the one thing that may serve to re-unite them.
College drop-out Jenna is looking for a new life. With a load of debt and nothing to lose, she leaves school and looks for work in Twinbrook. Unexpectedly, she finds herself attracting interest from a successful, local businessman by the name of Todd Blackston. Why has Todd taken such a keen interest in her, and what secrets is he hiding?
Jenna soon realizes she's standing in between two opposing sides, and each is scrambling to claim her. There's something special about Jenna-- something that both packs seek. And they'll stop at nothing to claim her... as a mate.
Well, this book didn't make much sense at all. So Jenna's a horny-wolf-magnet infertile-moon-spirit human woman?? Umm.....okay. Let's pretend for a moment that this makes any kind of sense. Apparently everyone's wanting a piece of her spirit action. Kind of funny if it didn't sound so ridiculous and absurd. Why do they even want her anymore if she can't complete the prophecy by conceiving an heir to the Blackstons pack? She's INFERTILE guys! There is NO CHANCE of that happening so why continue to pursue and hope?
That ending, though, was by far the worst. Talk about a cliff-hanger! So, it ends with a fight to mate with this girl that was clearly already claimed, no longer up for grabs, and Todd.... What happened to him? Did he die? Is he just injured? Bro...What up?!?
I don't know, but I'm not quite sure that this series is for me. It seems that there are seven other books possibly like this one in the series and I'm not so sure that I am up for more of this nonsense. We'll see how I feel about it later, in the farther future.

I finished this book last night but only because I had to push my self to. I seemed like that I had to force myself to read this book it. I mean it started off really well but seemed to go down hill after the job interview. I would just get bored with it and move onto something else. The end though action packed felt anti-climatic and the one and only sex scene though hot seemed off.
My favorite part of the whole book was when Jenna was in the job interview and she was think about her boss it was pretty funny:
"Damn, girl. Get it together! This is a job interview. Don't go checking out your new boss's boner!"
Shifter storyline that is fast paced and definitely interesting in a way that makes you want to read more to see what happens. Todd is a hot alpha male wants to protect his pack despite feeling drawn to Jenna. Jenna feels like she's be dropped in the twilight zone.
Jenna bored with school quits and leaves everyone behind to start a new life. In a new town Jenna lands a interview with the charming Todd. She likes him but when she discovers the tiny towns secrets and a her own secret she never knew, can she last in this town or move on??? Short story should read...
Jenna leaving school and heading to a small town called Twinbrook, Pennsylvania would never of dreamed what was in store for her. She felt luck that the town look like it had several job openings and was an affordable place to live. She even sprung an interview right off. Gees that was a funny and intense interview. Sorry have to read the book to find out why.
Todd Blackston was leader of the Blackston pack. He knew by Jenna smell that she was what they called a Spirit of the Moon child, something no werewolf could resist. He had two instincts; to breed her and to protect her. He was fight with himself on the breeding part but will he be able to resist the pull he has toward her?
There is a huge battle between the Blackston pack and the Hillrunners pack both alphas wanting Jenna. The question is which one will win the battle? Which alpha is the stronger Alpha?
I found this book to be an interesting series. If you like shifter books you will like this one as well.
Not too sure on this one, the story started off ok and then just fizzled out for me. I would have liked a bit more interaction between Jenna and Todd instead of the super fast pacing, basically they meet are instantly attracted to each, she gets attacked, a very brief history is given, they have sex and then get separated and cliffhanger (this is a serial). This bothered me as I enjoy a little more character development. The other thing that made me cringe was the sex scene, some of the descriptions were a little strange for my taste and had me confused.
Overall not bad but I will probably wait for the whole story to be out in one book before reading more of this story.
Can't wait for the next book to see what happens. Started great. Held my interest and read fast. Ended with a cliff hanger so need the next book to see what happens.
A cliffhanger book, they are shorts and can be read I a few hours to which I discovered, but once you start you cannot stop reading them, I a sucker for a collection so I give it a thumbs up, all the books for this are now out so you won't have to wait.
Really couldn't get into this one. Lacking depth and character development.. The pacing was bad and the storyline needed something to make me want to read more. :(
Although a short read I quite enjoyed it and will be buying part two! Intrigued to find out what happens next. Will decide then if whether to continue to the finale.
I'm loving the start of this series. It was just the right length. The one difference about this story, is usually the alpha male shifter is more 'loving'. Regardless, the sex was hot!
