This is such a great story, witty, sensual and filled with emotion, we have met heiress Carmel Davenport before and yes she was rather a spoilt young woman with problems, in this story we really get to know Carmel and I think she is one of the best heroines, come along and meet her and the man that has her heart Damien Kalymnios.

Carmel has made a lot of headway in her life and wants to put the past behind her and move onto the future but she has one more thing that needs to be done and that is finally get the divorce from her husband Damian, the husband that she married five years ago and the one that lasted such a short time, he has refused before so now she is arriving in his office to get him to sign the paperwork, hoping that he will sign.

Damian is not happy when his wife arrives in his office and he is still not going to give her what she wants but maybe if she agrees to spend some time with him and his ailing grandmother on his island he will sign, but the more time they spend together the more she gets into his heart should he sign the papers or is there a chance that they can really find love and happiness together?

I loved this one from start to finish, getting to know Carmel and Damian and understand their pasts and see how they meld together so well was so good, Carmel is a beautiful person inside and outside, caring loving and so very witty and Damian is learning to love with Carmel by his side, this is one that I highly recommend to any lover of a good romance.

My thanks to the author for my digital copy to read and review.

“The Greek’s wife returns” is the story of Carmel and Damian.

Very enjoyable read.

The heroine is a recovering alcoholic, who is now seeking divorce from the hero- her estranged husband whose heart she once broke. It’s obvious there’s no love lost between them, and when the heroine tries to make amends- he brushes her off.

Circumstances and a sick relative make them fake a reconciliation, where we get a beautiful journey of heroine who is dealing with sobriety through self depreciation, humor and therapy. He tries to resist her charms, but slowly she chips through his cold heart and gains his trust. We never dive into their relationship status during separation, instead we see a well written romance between a recovering addict, and the people around them who are affected by the habits.

Satisfying ending.

Carmel Davenport comes from a wealthy background. When she married Damian Kalymnois years earlier, it was ending before it even began. She wanted to get her inheritance from her mother. She did want to help Damian. He father denied her the inheritance. Told her to choose family or husband. Her father was a snob. Damian was from the wrong side of the tracks. All she wanted was what was left to her from her mother. That’s all she had of her. Her partying ways started after the death of her mother. She had a problem with alcohol. The wild child as she was known far. They both went their separate ways after Carmel chose her family. Years later after struggling to get sober, she is sober now, and now she wants a divorce. She goes to see Damian to hand him the papers and to apologize for doing him wrong. Will he accept it? Damian is very successful now, and he’s also bitter with Carmel. He decides to give it to her if she will help with his grandmother. She’s ill and needs surgery. The two make a pact. She’ll help for the divorce. As they spend time together, they realize that their chemistry is still hot as ever. Will the two make his grandmother believe that they are making a go at their marriage? It’s fake, after all. Will his grandmother have a successful surgery? What will the two do when their time is up? Does Damian believe her apology and that she’s a changed and sober person? The two deserves a second chance. Carmel doesn’t have anything to do with her father anymore. That’s why she is strong, sober and help running her mother’s company. She’s glad she has it from her father. The characters are wonderful. You can’t help but feel for both of them. They both have had a bad childhood and deserves love. Worth the read. I received this book for my honest review. I give it voluntarily.

An emotionally riveting reconnection with her husband! Fans of Dani Collins will recognize Carmel Davenport from her brother Atlas and his wife Stella's story previously. While this is a stand-alone story all on it's own right, I do feel like you will get a feel for Carmel's background much more if you go read Maid to Marry first. This book brings Carmel back into the realm of her quickie husband whom she hasn't seen since shortly after the wedding five years ago. The characters are both quick to enchant the reader with a fast paced and dramatic reunion that turns into more than they bargained for. The tension is high, the lust is still burning and the emotional growth they endure is heartwarming. I really enjoyed their story!

Carmel is an interesting character. She went off the rails for a long time, but through the love of family she never really expected to connect with, she healed in ways she never thought possible. I really liked her and understood what made her tick. I'm happy she got the love and life she deserved in the end.

I highly recommend this book as well as Atlas and Stella's story to anyone who enjoys a fast paced book filled with family drama and love finding a way through thick and thin.

When I started reading The Greek’s Wife Returns, I didn't know what to expect, but it completely hooked me. From the first chapter, the tension between Carmel and Damian was electric. Their history was messy and painful, but that made their reunion all the more compelling. I found myself rooting for them even when they were at odds—especially as the layers of their past slowly peeled away.

Dani Collins did a great job of capturing the emotional complexity of a broken marriage and the vulnerability it takes to rebuild trust. The glamorous setting added to the escapism, but it was the raw, emotional moments that really stood out to me. If you enjoy intense, second-chance romances with a lot of heart and heat, this one’s definitely worth reading.

Highly recommended for all readers of romance.

I love the Harlequin Presents line for the quick and satisfying reads (that don't keep me up too late on a weeknight). That said, rarely am I compelled to write an actual review, so this is an exceptional story. I really enjoyed the characters and the intricacies of their respective circumstances. The way the characters acknowledged their mistakes/flaws, the care they took with one another and the enduring love that developed between them was very sweet. I thoroughly enjoyed this one and recommend it without reservation.

We first read about Carmel Davenport in "Maid to Marry First," her brother Atlas and his wife Stella's story. This book can be a read-alone story, but I highly recommend reading Atlas and Stella's story before reading Carmel and Damien Kalymnios's story. This story is filled with emotion and sensuality between this couple. Many problems of the past need to be fixed to move on with their future.

OMG, Dani Collins knows how to write heroines for Presents! The heroine was a mess when she got married to the hero, and their relationship ended spectacularly seven days later...though not their official marriage. The book picks up five (?) years later, when the heroine is now sober and trying to get her act together.

I loved it!!

Incredibly slow and almost painful to read about h who finally turns around her life. The part where h binges on tears, bad tv and junk food felt real, but most of the book neither h nor H felt like people.
