I was disappointed by this book. It was literally a collection of one to two liner quotes from famous women. They aren't even organized by ideal, or in chronological order. They're just randomly regurgitated throughout the three hours of audiobook. I wish it was more contiguous or at least had segments that flowed like "love advice" and then list all the random quotes pertaining to that.
A bit disappointing because I thought it would be combination of stories about some badass women and their lives, sadly only a punch of quotes and short summaries about interesting women that I wish I knew more about. Nice and easy read.
The book is quite short and it's a mix of history and sayings from different famous people, divided into some categories. It's not something you can concentrate on for a longer time, so it took me a while to finish. However, I don't feel I was given some life-changing advice.
The book is primarily a set of short quotes by women. I think there is too much focus on love. Certainly, badass women must have things to say about much else. The first half of the book is primarily about love, lust, the loss of love, etc. There is a short chapter that asks if men are necessary, which has quotes from lesbian women or non=binary people, primarily also about love. There are some good quotes, but others that seem obvious. It good have been better.
Not what I expected at all. I was under the impression that this would be more of a collection of stories or essays or speeches from these badass women but instead it was a nice collection of quotes from them. Good background listening with the audiobook but beyond that I wouldn’t recommend it to be honest.
