I was rejected by my fated alpha mate. then forced to stay with him after he breaks my heart.
The moment we met, uncontrollable sparks flew between our wolves. He’s searching for the chosen one, the female who will unite our packs. But when he finds out I’m not her…he rejects me.
Thorne’s all power and arrogance, and he thinks he knows what’s best. but the bond is still there, burning between us, wild and magnetic.
When the prophecy is triggered. He crawls back to charm me. but I’m not so easily won. I’ll make him earn every second.
The prophecy says we’re destined to save our world. If I don’t tear him apart first.
I wanted this to be so much better than it turned out to be. It seemed like it could have been smoother. I felt like I got a roughed-out outline but was in need of more. More details, more interactions, more...more. There were some major inconsistencies, the main and most notable being whether our FMC was a human or a werewolf. I think a bit more formatting would have helped; it was hard to decipher at first glance what was being said mind to mind vs out loud. Honestly, most of the stories I have read on Wattpad were better.
Gah! Why do so few authors know how to write a good grovel? The H is so much worse than even the blurb suggests. He doesn't just reject his fated mate for the possibility of a prophesied mate, he spends weeks with her, acknowledges their bond, has sex with her and allows a mating ceremony to be planned KNOWING he's going to reject her! He even interferes in her arranged marriage that was made to protect her pack, again, knowing he was going to abandon her for someone else (even if the someone else ultimately doesn't exist) Then, he goes to her BRIDAL suite where she's happily getting ready with her friends and family and REJECTS her right there! Of course, instant karma and regret because of course she's the prophesied mate and suddenly "oh, what have I done, blah blah blah!" Okay, so all that is pretty terrible, but what does he do? Does he get down on his knees and beg her? Does he tell her how worthless he is and how completely utterly stupid he is? No, he kidnaps her and brings her back to his pack, doesn't tell anyone what happened, so the whole pack hates her, tries to strong arm her into being his mate and saying things like "I'm sorry, but ..." and he just has every excuse for his behavior and has the balls to be angry and frustrated with HER! She goes into heat and of course they mend the bond "for a night". Somewhere along the line, after he repeats the same things to her over and over again, she suddenly forgives him and all is forgotten! It reminded me of Austin Powers and the villain that would tell you what you wanted to know if you asked 3 times 🙄 Even beyond all this, the writing was confusing, with gigantic plot holes, terrible editing and repetitive dialogue. I wasn't expecting anything earth shattering, but I was hoping for an even halfway decent grovel. Disappointed.
3.5 stars (possible spoilers ahead) I didn't think this was a bad fated/rejected mate book. I did think H was a total a-hole though. I don't feel he was trying to be that way but he definitely came off that way. This should have been called the clueless alpha
It was clear he had feelings for her but because she wasn't marked, he knew he couldn't accept the mate. Where he was wrong was the fact he was sleeping with her KNOWING that he could not accept her. He broke up her arranged marriage KNOWING he was going to reject her. He was too chicken shite to have an actual conversation with her and explain what was going on.
H rejects her which then puts a huge rejection mark on her back. It was painful. Also, at that moment, she received the goddess mark (what he was looking for) oops. H realized at that moment he messed up big time.
He still doesn't explain anything- to anybody...he just kidnaps her and takes her back to his pack. His pack treats her like garbage because he doesn't enlighten anybody and tells them he's the actual a-hole who messed up. He lets his pack continue to treat/talk to her badly. THEN he acts all confused on why she wants to leave his pack. (I was laughing at this point because this guy was so clueless)
He does grovel but he's not very good at it. They continue to go round and round until she goes into heat. When that's over, they go round and round again. She eventually starts to loosen up some but it's not until he admits everything to his whole pack that she forgives him.
This will make you question if sometimes fate got it wrong, so hang on get comfortable and judge for yourself you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Thorne sexy as all get out alpha of the Silver Crescent Pack arrogant like most alphas feel he knows what is best for everyone, thinks everyone should do what he says, just blindly follow him but his defense is that he is doing it to protect the pack and taking on another pack who kept trying to take what belongs to his pack but when goes to see the semi-mentally challenged cave living wolf who informed him about his mate. Elowen is sweet the daughter of an alpha who has the responsibility of being the daughter of an alpha enjoys getting away just for a few moments of peace, when she finds her mate only for him to not to get to know her, to outright reject her based on a prophecy without reason breaking everything in her, and after being forced to stay there around him with a mate bond that hasn’t died yet only for him to realize she is the very mate prophesized. Thorne realizes his mistake in rejecting the very mate given to him but will she give him a second chance, will she even give him the chance to explain why, will she help his pack, can he redeem himself, and is there happiness for them or will their pack be the next to be turned to ashes?
An heart racing, swoon worthy ride from start to finish!
My Fated Mate pulled me in from the very first page. The chemistry between the characters was off the charts, and I found myself completely invested in their journey. Willow Dex did a fantastic job balancing romance, suspense, and just the right amount of tension.
If you love fated mates, intense emotions, and stories that keep you turning the page late into the night, this one is for you. I didn’t want it to end and I’m definitely keeping an eye out for what this author does next!
Highly recommended to fans of paranormal romance and steamy fantasy love stories.
Elowen is rejected by her fated mate Thorne as he believes he needs the wolf from the prophecy. A twist of fate shows him the damage he has caused by his rejection, which endangers their entire species. This story was intense and extremely emotional. I really loved the fact that Elowen did not bow down, and Thorne needed to earn back her trust and love. The climax of the book was quite suspenseful and entertaining as well.

WOW this was the best paranormal romance. I was on the edge of my seat and I couldn’t even put it down. Silver Crescent Pack is where the alpha daughter had to find her mate before it was too late. She had to bond her pack with another this pack was he going to her true mate. Or her pack will last longer until she gets married. I definitely recommend this book and you won’t be disappointed. I am voluntarily leaving my honest opinion. Trina Jones
This book had me on the edge of my seat. The MMC makes a grave mistake that could cost him the woman of his dreams while searching for the one female that the prophesy states will save them all. The MFC is strong and fierce. Can she overcome heartbreak? Can she forgive? The only way to find out is to read their story. Complex characters, suspense, and love. What more could you ask for?
