Biga and owner continue to get into trouble in a small town. I love the character descriptions and the ongoing character development from one book to the next. This is book #6 and I recommend reading them in order. The food always sounds so warm and comforting it makes you want to look for the place on the map.

When one of the softball players was AWOL and killed during a game, Gracie couldn't help sleuthing it out since she was worried a killer might strike again. She was juggling a lot as usual, this time a bakery renovation which made her have to come up with a way to at least stay partially open somewhere. I liked her idea which ended up working great. Just after the mystery was solved and everyone was having a good time, the very ending made me wish that next book was out right now.

What a captivating Cozy Myserty

I enjoyed this book very much. It was an easy read without too many characters. I liked that the small town was accepting of Mayor C and Marla’s past relationship. I was happy that Nate finally was ok with Gracie being who she was. A Snoop. With the cliff hanger ending, I can’t wait to start the next book

too much rehashing

In each book the prior books are rehashed. Well, by book six it’s gotten a bit out of control. If someone wants to know the back story READ THE OTHER BOOKS! I’m not senile yet and hearing everything over and over is annoying.

Love the lot of 'em...

I am really enjoying this author. The storyline is simple and the characters are well defined. I love a cosy mystery to read when I need a fun, faster read. I am planning to read every book in this series. On to book three.

Death at a ball game

A man of questionable ethics is stabbed at a softball game.
Things like the Joke of the Day help keep the balance between lightness and the darkness of the murder.
