Although I am not usually one to enjoy books about the World Wars, or modern history, I found this book very difficult to put down. I wanted to keep reading and reading. I loved that the story was told from a female perspective. I also loved that sexism was addressed in the book specifically with how the one man in the group refused to listen to Rienne even though she was very experienced.

A great book that explains the history simply but also in detail.

A good read.

I enjoyed how the story was told by Rienne. I felt as if it were rushed at times. Overall I enjoyed it and would recommend.

I really enjoyed Resistant and deliberated over my rating. I thought it was written really well and I thought it captured the atmosphere at that time but I felt there were times when some of the supporting characters would have benefited from more of a back story to bring their motivations out. All in all I thought it was a really enjoyable book.

Although quite short I found Resistant a rich and at times quite deep novel that looked at the era from a refreshingly different perspective. The character development was excellent and I thought the ntire story felt very authentic.
