The last thing I should be doing is disturbing an unconscious, bleeding wolf-monster by poking it with a stick. But when it woke, it’d feed on the closest humans around, and I had to stop it.
I would do anything for my adoptive parents, even make a bargain with the beast. But I never anticipated my fear turning to lust, or that the big, bad Lycan would develop a taste for my flesh.
One minute I feared him, and the next, the Lycan was an addiction I grew tired of fighting. Could he feel the same about me, or would he devour me once I was no longer useful to him?
If you enjoy shorter reads and a gruff Lycan obsessed with their woman’s . . . essence, you’ll love LYCAN. No cliffhanger, and a happily ever after guaranteed!

monster romance knotting possessive mmc lycan dystopian world breeding primal/instinctual non/dub con basically she needs his…..essence….to survive (and he’s also addicted to hers;))
Welllllll this surprised me. A whole lot of smut but had emotional depth. Mia finds Fenrir injured and attempts to nurse him back to health. This had MAJOR Beauty and the Beast vibes.
A lot of people won’t admit it but let’s be honest we wanted Beast back at the end and that’s what you get here. Fenrir is all beast. A lycan to be exact. Did I question my sanity that I enjoyed something like this? Absolutely. I’m seriously wondering if my card got punched for Hell.
But I really did love the relationship that built between Mia and Fenrir. Mia was such a trusting and kind soul with a backbone of steel and Fenrir was jaded and angry at the world and humans. But Mia was his exception.
“I would keep her with me. Never again would I harm this gentle human, so unlike others.”
Listen, if this is your first foray into monster romance….maybe don’t start with this one but if it isn’t, it was a smutty story about two souls that find that they only need each other to thrive. Like the first book in this series there’s plenty of smut, a decent plot and the lesson that sometimes the worst monsters are those that don’t look like one at all.
I’m interested in seeing what Allie does with this world!
I was lucky enough to get an ARC copy of this book and loved it. If you like monster romance with monsters who look, and act like monsters, then this is the book for you.
Our MMC Fenrir is a Lycan and has been held in a facility being experimented on since he was a child. After escaping he takes sanctuary in a small shake on a farm. The very farm our FMC Mia happens to spend time in.
Mia discovers Fenrir passed out and bleeding and while she is petrified she decides as some initial poor decisions to try and help. She quickly learns that Fenrir will do and take what he wants, which she isn’t totally upset about. 😉
I would strongly suggest reading the trigger warnings for this book, but if your looking for a primal monster who learns to love and a FMC who imbraces what she wants then you can’t go wrong with this one.

Please don't stop writing this little series. I love this little dystopian world. Mindless creatures, now gaining humanity, and so many possible adventures open up. I hope to read a minotaur (they're my favorite), or moth person... ohh or giant sexy trolls! They're so not written about enough! Thank you for your stories. You're very much appreciated!
Normally I don't go for shorter stories, but this was so well done that I just got consumed by it at once and wanted more when it ended.
Mia lives in an apocalyptic version of our world with her two caregivers. After a long day out working in her vegetable garden, night comes. It is dangerous to be out at night, so she goes to spend the night in a nearby shack.
But when she gets there she is not the only one seeking refuge in the shack.
2.75 ⭐️ this was a fun little novella! short & smutty — would say it felt very PWP (smut with very little plot) but it works with how short it is. Fenrir is a “monster” who acts monstrous, which i appreciated in the context of the book. i am curious enough to read the first book set in this “monsterverse” now and i am definitely intrigued to try some of this author’s other books.
(this might be my first time rating something a quarter-star, but it fit for this one — in that i had a fun time reading it, but i don’t know if i will reread it)
Was it hot? Yes. So hot. But the story itself? It honestly fell flat for me. It felt very rushed and kinda skipped over. I would have loved to see more build up around the story premise. The idea was so solid and good. But it just kinda read like the author knew they wanted to get from point a to point b to point c. But didn't know how to get them there. I think that the story is a good start but, just honestly felt very lack luster and empty. I lowkey hope/wish the author would take the story and build up off the ideas going deeper in. Because there is a good story hiding in there.
Mia finds an injured beast in her shed, and despite everything she knows about the monsters from the Rift, she decides to help him. Fenrir has spent a lifetime in captivity, being cut apart and pieced back together in the name of science. This fragile female is about to become his dinner when he realizes she's the most delicious thing he's ever experienced. Although she's very confused by his actions, Mia continues to help Fenrir recover. It's only until she's in terrible danger that Fenrir realizes the depth of his obsession with his human.
It's a super spicy quick little read. Mia is sheltered but kind and willing to sacrifice her own life and freedom to save her family from a beast's wrath. Fenrir, despite his traumatic past, turns his passion for revenge into obsession over Mia and saves her more than once. The culture clash and semi-language barrier were cute. Their unbalanced dynamic soon became a wholesome and caring relationship. I love the growth of both characters. Plus, that spice was spicing!
Holy Lycan! 🥵😈 Allie has outdone herself AGAIN! Obsessed is an understatement to this book. I want to keep reading it over and over.
So who's a fan of Bram Stokers Dracula? I am! So if you're a big fan of Dracula in his werewolf monster form then you'll love this!
Mia. Such a sweet girl and never expected to come face to face with a Lycan. Cross that off your bingo card! Enters Fenrir. A monster made by humans and who'd think his "happiness" heals and allows you to live long? Lordt. Where do I sign up!? The connection between the two is unbreakable. So mesmerizing. So beautiful. Mia sure did tame her own personal monster.
Check your trigger warnings! Always check them! Then happy reading! Get this on your TBR list stat!
Allie my dear. Thank you for allowing me to ARC read your amazing, phenomenal, dark book! 🖤
The world is different after the rift and monsters be real! Very quick read for all the girlies that fell for the beast and then lost interest when he turned back human.
Mia is a sweet, innocent girl who is just living day by day but then stumbles upon a tortured, bloody monster. Fenrir is said monster. Who was tortured by humans and hates all humans... except for this one human that leaks from her eyes.... and another place... that tastes delicious. So, naturally, he claims her. Truly the: "I licked it, so it's mine."
But who would really turn down being licked by a glowing orange eyed, giant, strong, warm, furry, antlered beast that has... happy juice that heals you and will have you living as long as him? I don't see the issue.
✨monster x human ✨knotting ✨breeding ✨obsessive/possessive ✨non/dub-con ✨trigger warning shopping list
This was a very quick and fun read! It is a little dark, so check the trigger warnings. If you’re a fan of dark monster smut, though, this is for you.
Fenrir basically crashes into Mia’s life and quickly becomes obsessed with her. It’s quite fun to watch him go from despising all humans to despising all humans except Mia.
Mia has been isolated on her and her adoptive family’s land because of the Rift and abundance of monsters roaming throughout the world. When she finds Fenrir, she’s naturally pretty reluctant and scared. That made her falling for him even better. I think Mia becomes just as obsessed with Fenrir as he is with her.
This is definitely a spice-focused story, which I love, to be honest. There’s a smattering of plot here and there, but we mostly just get to experience Mia and Fenrir learn each other.
I really hope we get more books in the Monsterverse series! If you haven’t read Demon, I highly recommend it. It’s fantastic.
I truly love a good monster romance. This book, the wolfman is an actual beast and stays that way.
Dominant and ferocious the MMC’s slowly learns to trust the FMC. It’s a great story, especially because the mmc doesn’t fully understand humans so there’s a few minor miscommunications and honestly it adds so much to the story.
The FMC is just trying to survive and she’s far too kindhearted to leave a creature in need, even one that could eat her.
There were some darker elements but honestly the relationship was super sweet.
If you like your monsters, monstrous, then this is definitely the book for you!
I'm in love with Allie's monster verse books. When I read the first book with the demon Ten, I thought nothing could be better. Well, Ms. Allie took the bait and challenge and have us Fenrir, and omg, it is amazing!! It's raw, it's passion, and it's spicy. Fenrir is a lycan monster who has been held captive by humans who have been experimenting on him since he was a child. So when he crosses paths with the sweet and gentle Mia and she is the calm to his storm, he is most confused and doesn't understand what is going on. Their little journey is extreme, very passionate and dominating but Mia tames herself on beautiful monster in the end.
This story is exactly what every monster lover needs!! We all have that defining moment that made us realize we definitely liked the different - whether it was the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, or that werewolf scene from Bram Stokers Dracula. This book is all of that plus some!! Mia is sweet but strong. From the moment she meets Fenrir, she calculating her next move. I loved how Fenrir's definition of eating Mia evolves, lol. He needs her and gives all the touch her and d!e vibes and I'm here for it!!! Their story is dark, sweet and super steamy!!
Lycan is such a quick, gripping read, dark around the edges but ultimately delivering a satisfying, happy ending. Mia goes through a lot, constantly getting hurt, yet Fenrir is always right there to heal her, creating a dynamic that feels intense and emotionally charged. The story moves at a rapid pace, and the twist involving her parents genuinely caught me off guard.
The smut? Absolutely delicious. With every book I read, I find myself liking Allie Santos’s writing style more and more.
Trigger Warnings: CNC, abuse, attempted sexual assault by her adoptive father, significant gore and violence.
So I’m not usually into darker books that have non con elements, but this is one of those exceptions to the rule. The author managed to meet in the middle between dark monster romance and fluffy I’ll do anything for my soft human romance. I’m a little baffled and pleasantly surprised that she managed that feat. A big part of it is the MMC isn’t being intentionally mean to the FMC, it’s just his nature and he learns as the book goes on. It’s also softened by the fact that the FMC is into. I definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to take a baby step into darker monster romances.
This book was everything I love in a monster romance. He’s OTT possessive and all unalivey with anyone else. Absolutely fantastic to see his perception of her vs other humans transform. Who doesn’t love a gruff and growls mmc that’s willing to unalive for you?!? Swoon! She is so sweet and caring with him even though we all know that would be terrifying, especially at first. The shower scene was funny because I could 100% picture his reaction & it made me laugh out loud.
Loved this story! A scorching-hot Lycan monster who becomes utterly obsessed with his female the moment he tastes her... essence, and a fierce FMC who can't resist craving more from her monster. A must-read for monster romance lovers!

▪️ Ok so I don't usually read monster romance but I have to say this one was really good! It was short and just right for me and had that heat you always expect when reading one of Allie Santo's books! So go ahead and enjoy this spicy book, I know I did🤌🏼
This was a quick read and easily kept my attention. I enjoyed the plot, the main characters, and the spice was perfect. Mia was sweet and gentle. I loved how she showed Fenrir kindness despite her fears and uncertainty. It was also good to see growth in Fenrir. Overall, I think it was a great read!
I love a good monster romance, the kind that is filled with morally grey and out of this world MMCs! This book delivers the best kind of monster, one that is only (kinda) soft for his girl. It is always so fun to read Allie's books and this is another in her brilliant collection!
The creature design was really cool but that’s kind of all I liked. The main characters were both very annoying and wish washy with each other, even until the very end. It never seems like they like each other. The story dragged so bad it took me a while to get into this at all. Some typos and errors as well
Beauty and the beast monster romance with lots and lots of smexy time.
Healing Spermies.
Story was a bit lacking for me, could have use a bit more actual plot and it would have been so much better. Definitely enjoyed the author and will look for more books from them!
You know what, this book may not be for everyone but I actually loved it. Took me on a fantasy journey and away from life a short while. Love me some monster romance😍
Worth the read!! •It’s both their first times •Rearranges her to fit 😉 •knotting 🪢 •br€€ding If “Heavy Petting” and the “Duskwalker Brides” series had a baby, it would be this book! There is lots of spice and a twist I wasn’t expecting near the end 🤔 loved it!
