This one is definitely a slow burn- but has stayed consistent! (Review written from chapters 1 - 103).
After reincarnating into a character that is destined to be killed, the now Baek Ri-yeon dies at the hand of the “true” villain only to wake back up as the same unfortunate child. Doing everything in her power to survive and live as a happy family with her famous martial artist- she tries to walk the flower path.
While I’m not personally too interested in the martial artist genre of manhwa, this one I find myself going back to despite the common premise of reincarnation and “revenge”; I find this story a lot more compelling with her staying true to her goals and just wanting a happy life with her and her dad. The other characters are also quite interesting in how they have changed due to her own influence in the “plot”. That being said, I’m not as big of a fan with the main character getting some OP powers (won’t say what for spoiler purposes- but it doesn’t impact important aspects of her character) but I just wish it stayed grounded in the martial arts realm with chi (qi) and stuff?
Still, I’m interested to see where this one goes- and how it’s going to end!
