A meet cute that turns into a tragedy. Lumen and Tobias meet when they are doing a blindfold photoshoot they hit it off really well, but things happened that had them apart for a year.
Now Lumen is dealing with the aftermath and can't go outside she's scared of the world. Now her home is invaded by mask ppls who want revenge. The only person who is making sure she's as safe is Tobias. He's there because he's being Blackmailed.
The spice was good the drama and the secerts were good. I loved that Lumen faced her fears and fought when she could. Everything is face paced. Which i love hehe
Ow drama/ no cheating, drama, sexy times, virgin girl no manwhore

This book was a short novella and perfectly written. Some shorter books leave you wondering what happens next or don't give great details. This book is not one of those books. The details especially the spicy scenes are chef's kiss. I loved the plot of the story. I will definitely keep reading Tylor Paige's books, as they offer a brilliant blend of spice, horror, and captivating plots!

Bee: Well, if a roller coaster is what you’re looking for, you found it. In true Ty fashion, there
were so many different twists and turns I didn’t know where was up. I really enjoyed Lumen regaining her power and her control. This was heavy af but that is truly what Ty does best, makes the Final Girl come out on top and we love her for it.
Nik: This is definitely a twisty wild and crazy ride that goes off the deep end and then brings you back. I enjoyed the crazy plot but agree the TW is an absolute must for this read. My favorite part was seeing some Easter eggs of our favorite characters from Slash or Pass universe! It’s like seeing an old friend. Once again, no one does final girl like Ty.

I picked this book because it was a short novella and I had never read a Christmas dark romance. I wanted to know if I'd be into it. The answer to that is, yes. This was something new and I found myself engrossed in it. I needed to find out what happened and why! Also the spicy scenes were 🥵 I very much enjoyed those! This was a dark romance that takes place during the holidays and is about a girls family that is murder at the mall and later on after being terrified of leaving her house has a home invasion happen that answers so many questions. I ate this up! Great quick novella for the dark romance girlies In the mood for a quick holiday read!

SPOILERS PLAY BY PLAY:
Lumen meets Tobias at a photo shoot and is absolutely captivated by him. The photo shoot ends and she walks out to find her whole family murdered. Fast forward to her being a hermit in her house and never leaving, she gets visitors. One is Billy her guy friend or so she thought and 2 other girls ( I forgot their names but they are dumb bitches so it doesn’t matter). Tobias is also there and even though it looks like he’s part of the group and there to torture and rob her she is still captivated by him. Tobias takes her virginity with an icicle because one of the dumb bitches told him to. That hurt to read 🙈 finally Tobias jumps into action and attacks the 3 people. One girl he chases out while Lumen is taking care of Billy. Then Tobias comes back to fuck Lumen while one of the dumb bitches it on the roof and then runs off to find the other girl while Lumen takes care of the one on the roof. THEN Lumen goes to find the other dumb bitch outside and then ends up finding her and apparently she wanted Tobias this whole time even though Tobias has been in love with Lumen since the photo shoot. There is a video showing that Tobias killed her family. She only saw a short clip so once Tobias shows the whole thing she realizes her family was about to kill her and Tobias overheard it and made sure that didn’t happen. Oh and he showed her the rest of the video with the sound on while he was fucking her. So yeah… this book was something else. I had to keep reading to find out what was going to happen but I can’t say it was the best dark novella I’ve read. It was entertaining and held my attention.

Of course Author Tylor Paige,who we call the Queen of Whorror (and for good reason), would write a Christmas novella….
And OF COURSE it’s absolutely unhinged and amazing!
If you’ve read this author before you know that…
One… you’re going to fall in love with an unhinged and certifiably crazy MMC or FMC… even possibly both.
Two…. Nothing is ever as it seems… so buckle up cause it’s always crazy and incredible ride.
Three… you will most definitely at some point be questioning your morals… cause why do I think this is so HOT?
And certainly last but not least… you will absolutely 100% not be able to put it down… because this book will have you in a chokehold.
Every one of Tylor’s books that I’ve read are so unique and the plot even if it’s bonkers always leaves me wanting more!
If you’ve read love thriller, horror, lots of unhinged craziness(with a jolly AF twist), and spice that will have you questioning and fanning yourself… this books for you!

I absolutely devoured this holiday home invasion horror romance. It’s wild and so much comes out of left field but it was SO MUCH FUN.
Lumen and Tobias meet at a blind boudoir photoshoot, have an instant connection and then understandably lose touch when a mass murderer kills 11 people at the mall, including her family. One year later, Lumen is a hermit in the snowy forest when Tobias + others come after her. Revenge? Love? Read and find out!
My favorite characters are the deranged ones and there is SO much to choose from here. Lumen, the shy agoraphobe who isn’t afraid to end someone? Tobias, the hardened hero with his murderous obsession? It’s got to be Neve, the absolutely crazed former photographer/blackmailer who is completely unhinged.
There’s a lot of delicious spiciness and it includes accessories and tools.

I liked the premise of this book a lot, and it was a good novella as a dark grey romance. I did feel some parts were completely rushed or glossed over whereas some were given too much time.
I think the side characters really made the story whole, since they took a big part of it. But I would have also liked for more focus on Tobias and Lumen, however it is not that type of book.
This is not pure şmüt, so expect more plot development than maybe other spicy novellas....even though I wish there was more drawn out spice...

I don't really know how to start this. I definitely wasn't expecting the ending, that's for sure. I don't really have much to say, either. This is a super fast-paced dark Christmas novella, like Tobias (MMC) fell for Lumen (FMC) instantly and then stalked her for a year (but it's okay because he's super hot lol).
I found that Lumen's response to her trauma was very realistic, which I appreciated. As for side characters, Neve is fucking nuts, Ruby deserved better, and Billy got what he deserved. This is DARK, so please read the TW.
I enjoyed the plot and the spice (3/5). The ending was cute, though. I liked her character development. The icicle threw me for a loop, but like I said, I enjoyed the spice *wink*

But real talk, let’s be very clear. Going into this book, you really gotta just leave everything behind and go into this without any reservations. This is in fact a horror, holiday…romance? That last part is probably a loose term for this book. But you know what it did remind me of? A fast-paced, adult, dark version of home alone! And I LOVE home alone!
The story was so quick, outrageous, crazy…did I mention dark?
Anyway? If you’re looking for one last book to finish off the year with and you are open to dark DARK “romance” look no further!
PS I’d be interested to see if there an extended version cuz I wanna know what all that was about! I have questions!

I absolutely loved reading this novella!
This was one of my favorite Christmas novellas!
It had action, tension, some horror, secrets and spice!
The characters were so fun! I loved the small twists in the story i enjoyed every page of it!
The FMC was an absolute baddie even tho she had a severe anxiety disorder she still did what she had to do to survive.
I love the MMC too he was obsessed by her and would do anything for her. Their chemistry was perfect!
If you are looking for a fast and exciting horror holiday novella this is absolutely your to go to!

This book is meant to be fast paced, absurd, and a nod to home invasion horror.
At first, I didn’t know how I was going to like Tobias (who unalives Lumen’s entire family)… but somehow Tylor made me love him.
Lumen was terrified and deeply traumatized after the events at the mall. Throughout the book she definitely found her strength again.
Lumen and Tobias had an instant connection that made it easy to like him. Even though he did some pretty bad things before revealing the truth, it was clear that he didn’t want to be participating with the others.

4⭐️ Where do I start with this haha, there’s so many great creative uses for holiday items I just can’t even with this. The icicle, the gingerbread house and candy canes, dodgy Christmas lights?! Like it’s just straight up dark holiday fun. Great shorty holiday read. I think it took me like 30 mins to read.
The cherry popping spice is so hot and cold and the same time. You’ll have to read it to understand this reference haha, so creative, bless!
I loved the link to the others in this world with the plot twist at the end. Very action packed and exciting. Easy quick, dark and festive fun read.

Another wild äss story from the mind of Tylor Paige that you won't want to miss! A home invasion horror that is packed full of revenge, spice, mürdër, and Christmas.
This was such a fun, quick read. Read in less than an hour and I didn't want it to end. The characters were all amazing, the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat, and, of course, the spice was just right for this short Final Girls Featurette.

Who would have thought steamy pictures with a stranger would lead to Lumen being an orphan. Now if you’re expecting an award winning piece of literature look elsewhere. But if you need a good holiday palette cleanser with a side of murder and mystery and a nod to the Reanimator this holiday season….this is the novella for you. As always, Tylor’s love for horror movies is expertly turned into a fun holiday featurette. 10/10 recommend.

I freaking adore this author so much….a horror Christmas novella WITH Masked men?!? Say less! I am here for it!!! I devoured this in a shorter time than I would like to admit. Tylor just sucks me into her worlds so easily and makes me ignore whatever else I am supposed to be doing for that time. No sleep? No problem!
This is not my first book by this author but good Lordt gravy do I love the “rules” for each story. Thank you for putting in the extra effort with your writing.

This is not your moms hallmark Christmas story, it is a dark and twisted Christmas story that still has an HEA. I really enjoyed this book. It was a fun spin on a Christmas story that still stuck to the horror romance vibes that Ty is known for! If you want a Christmas read that isn’t like everything else check this out!

quick holiday dark romance read
This was a super quick and fast paced Christmas themed home invasion romance. It had such a cute ending, and some really good seggsy scenes! Great kick off for my holiday reads.
The story had some grammar/editing errors which took away from the story for me. Overall a solid story though.

This 100ish page home invasion horror romance novella was everything I was expecting out of Tylor. I enjoyed the flashback on the ruminator from her Slash and Slay books. I didn't know where I thought this book was going when I started it, however, I can assure it not where Tylor took me and I am here for that experience in each of her books.

If you want to read a short Christmas horror erotica story then this is for you! I enjoyed this little novella and I would love to see another book with these characters. I’m greedy. I always want more of Ty’s stories. I loved the nod to Eisley and I was not expecting that twist!!

Quick story but with twists and turns I didn’t see coming.
Lumen and Tobias have obvious chemistry from the moment they meet.
As much as I love Tylor Paige’s writing, I think my favorite part is always little snippets from other stories she’s written and mentions of Michigan.

This was such a fun novella to read as the seasons change! As always I absolutely love Ty's style of writing, humor, and the manner of certain deaths made me chuckle. If you want to read something that will ignite your dark little Christmas spirit.. this is it! As someone whose dealt with agoraphobia due to triggering events, I really related to Lumen's character. I loved the twist as well as the ending! This novella pulled me out of a reading slump, and I'm super excited for Ty's other upcoming books!
