Charlie Knight has been working at Falk’s Fikabröd for about a year and loves working there. She had moved to NYC to become a model. She had had some success but was finally tired of the exhausting late nights. She moved back home to Deepwood Mountain, Montana. She never thought she'd be an early morning riser after being so accustomed to the late nights during her life as a model. But she loves working for him, plus she loves him.
Thoren Falk left behind his family in Sweden when he came to the US. Before moving to Deepwood Mountain, he'd been a successful pastry chef in LA. Charlie is certain that, like NYC, LA was also a fast-paced, pressure-cooker existence.
He's interested in Charlie, but he has two big issues: his age and his body. He's pushing fifty. He's a big man, over six feet tall, but has added girth to his frame over the years. She's a former model who still has a perfect body! Why would she want someone like him?

This is one of the best older man/younger woman stories I’ve ever read. Thoren is a sweetheart and looks like a Viking hero. Charlie was a model in NYC but decided modeling wasn’t for her. Working in Thoren’s Swedish bakery with him every day, makes being there at the crack of dawn, worth it.
When Thoren’s family comes from Sweden to visit for Thanksgiving, Thoren and Charlie fake a relationship so his mom will believe he’s happy living in the USA.
An ultra sweet, family Thanksgiving with lovable characters and a spicy, fake romance, this novella was definitely a treat.

When his family arrives unexpectedly for the holidays, she is all too happy to pose as his girlfriend to help him avoid his mother's matchmaking. Their scheme quickly becomes real when feelings and chemistry get involved, and Charlie learns the attraction was not one-sided after all.
This cute Thanksgiving novella is a quick, enjoyable read with lots of Swedish elements, which made it interesting. There is an age gap, workplace romance, and fake relationship all in this very short story.

Ooh so yummy!
Thoren runs a Swedish bakery, baking traditional foods from his native country. Charlie works at the bakery with Thoren. She has to admit that his Viking features make her think about more than baking.
One morning, Thoren's family comes into the bakery, and they assume Charlie is Thoren's girlfriend. Of course, they only think that because he told them that he was bringing his girlfriend to Thanksgiving. And, well, the two were standing a little close when the family came in.
Thoren's family is a lot of fun, and very up in his business. Charlie likes them a lot, and she actually fits in pretty well. And even though they drive Thoren a bit nuts, he's happy having them with him. He's pretty happy having Charlie with him, too, if he's honest.
But when his mom starts making plans for next year, and inviting Charlie to Sweden for Thanksgiving, will it all be too much?
Oh, this was just so much fun! Thoren's family was very in your face, and he was a bit embarrassed. Charlie took it in stride, and definitely enjoyed seeing Thoren squirm a little. Even when they had to share a bed.
This was a cute short read, with a hot mountain man baker and the woman he wants to knead his dough with. And, of course, a fun and meddling family. It wouldn't be a holiday without them! Thanksgiving, indeed!

Part of Deepwood Mountain Holiday Specials series don’t start if you don’t plan on finishing in one setting because you won’t put it down until the last page has been turned. Charlie is sweet worked as a model for years living in NY but tired of the city life, moved back home to Deepwood Mountain, Montana, took a job working with Falk’s Fkabrod waking early to work with the sexy boss although, she would never tell him that. Thoren sexy as all get out famous pastry chef from Sweden settled in Deepwood mountain hired the most beautiful women who use to be a model can’t believe she wanted to work with/for him he finds himself interested in her but feels she would never see him that way considering he is older than her, much bigger than her (he does like to taste his product) she is a model, and so he watches from a distance. Until fate steps in by way of his family who arrives in America a meddling mom who wants to see him happy so he tells her what she wants to hear that he is dating the most beautiful women but will Charlie go along with his lie, will she be honest about her feelings about him, will him mom believe they are together, and can they make it work past the holidays?

He is almost fifty and moved to Deepwood Mountain, Montana from LA to open a bakery, Falk's Fikabrod. He is a trained pasty chef who wanted to follow his own passion. Charlie moved town after living in NYC. She wanted a change and found that when Thoren hired her to help him in the kitchen. She loves her job and can lose herself in her own baking Zen at dawn. She also loves Thoren and has since they first met. What she does not know is that Thoren fell hard for her from the beginning also. Neither thinks the other would want to be with them so neither makes a move. But that is about to change when his family arrives to celebrate Thanksgiving with him and mistakes Charlie as his girlfriend. It seems Thoren made up a fake girlfriend so that his mother would stop trying to get him married and having babies. There may be more than a few surprises to be thankful for around the table and the bed this year for both Charlie and Thoren.

Stuffed is such a fun, flirty little Thanksgiving treat! This novella is only 45 pages, but somehow Lexi Hayes packs in all the sweetness and all the spice. Seriously—the story is super sweet and the spice is spicy. A perfect quick read when you want vibes, tension, and a cozy holiday setting without the commitment of a full-length novel.
Thoren, the shy Viking baker boss with his icy blue eyes and soft heart, was adorable. And the whole “fake dating to survive family matchmaking” setup? Always a win. I loved the cozy mountain cabin scenes, the Swedish traditions, and that slow slide from pretend to uh-oh… feelings.
Even with the short length, the chemistry was believable and the moments between them were warm, intimate, and honestly just plain cute. I really enjoyed the writing—Lexi’s style is easy to sink into and full of charm.
Overall, Stuffed is a sweet-and-spicy holiday escape that left me smiling, and I’ll definitely be reading more of Lexi’s stories!

This is an amazing edition to the Deepwoods Mountain world. Thoren owns a bakery where he sells his Swedish baked goods. He has his right hand woman, Charlie.
I love how these two are pining over each other for ions, but never able to say a word. Thank goodness for a nosy mother, and a thanksgiving no one will ever forget.
Its got a hot, ohhh so satisfying love affair, but its the connections you just melt over. As you almost feel you get to peak in Charlie meets Thoren's family. They all seem to be an already made family. Thoren and Charlie might have agreed to pretend to be a couple. It feels explosive as they realize their chemistry is NOTHING bout pretend.
It feels organic as their love story comes to live around their american Thanksgiving. You wish you had such a wonderful loving family. It's got the spice you want, the warmth you NEED, and the HEA you can't stop talking about!

She loves working in the bakery, creating something and letting the ingredients speak to her. She also loves her hot Viking boss, but doesn’t have the courage to tell him. He thinks she’s too young for him, but that doesn’t stop him from asking her to pretend to be his girlfriend while his family is in town. This is a short story format so you don’t expect complicated character development, or detailed plot lines. The delight of the story is the Swedish focus. He owns a traditional Swedish bakery, and when his family comes to visit, they focus on Swedish traditions. It is an unexpected delight in a short story romance. On top of the novelty of the Viking baker, who turns out to be a cinnamon roll at heart, you get a really sweet little romance. There was a little spice to steam things up, but this is overwhelmingly a sweet story with a HEA.

The characters in this small town, fake fiance story were adorably shy, unsure, and hesitant around eachother (when not in the bakery). Thoren, the MMC, was a giant of a man from Swede, and he looked the part. Despite his burly exterior, he was a teddy bear, cinnamon roll inside. Charlie was a former model who was fed up with the lifestyle and returned home, only to fall in love with her boss at the local bakery. She may have been outgoing with others, but with him she was reserved with her feelings. With his family visiting, love and laughter around every corner, would they discover new things to be thankful for this year.
The descriptions and interactions in this story drew this reader into the wonderful chaos of the Falk family Thanksgiving. I'm greatful for the gift copy of this book I received and was happy to provide this review.

I love how sweet Thoren’s family is and how accommodating Charlie is. The mixing of both American and Swedish traditions was a nice touch. Even though this is a short novella we have a complete story with developed characters that tell a beautiful story.

Charlie and Thoren work together at his bakery but when his mom is having a big traditional American Thanksgiving, Thoren takes Charlie home to be his pretend gorlfriend so his mom will be happy. Things take a turn when they have to sleep in the same room. Feelings between them escalate, they can't pretend any more. He confesses it was just a pretend relationship but when Charlie let's him know it was not pretend for her. She has always had feelings for Thoren but now they are together things are going to be much better.

Stuffed is a perfectly hot and sweet holiday novella. Thoren is a successful baker who owns his own shop in Deepwood Mountain. Secretly smitten with his employee Charlie, he is far too shy to make the first move. Charlie is a gorgeous woman with a heart of gold and the brass to speak her mind. She, too, is smitten by Thoren but loves her job too much to say anything about her feelings. I love how the author throws them together in an awkward situation and lets us enjoy how they work it out. With plenty of Swedish Viking hints and heritage, this read is a delicious way to pass the time!.

Thoren is a shy, hunky, brawny, and burly Viking- like Nordic baker. Charlie is his younger curvy assistant who has been crushing on him.

Thoren told a little white lie just to get his matchmaking, well meaning mother of his back. So, that brings Charlie into a pretend Thanksgiving relationship with her sizzling hot, older boss. Within hours of the charade, starting the lines between real and pretend are blurring terribly. How long can they stay in denial about their feelings for and attraction to each other??? Lexi Hayes does such a great job with this quick read. It's such a sweet story with lovable characters!!!

Charlie left NY for Deepwood Mountain, working for Thoren in his Swedish bakery. When his family sweeps in all of the sudden he is asking her to play along at being his girlfriend. This is no hardship for her as she has feelings for her Viking boss. Thoren has feelings for Charlie but believes he is too old for her.
Spending time in close quarters with his family will the chemistry explode between the pair? Thoren is the cute shy one in this story. I loved how his family was all in his business.

This was a fun fake to real romance that had a wonderful holiday twist to it. Thoren is shy and not very confident but he has to get his mother off his back about having a girlfriend. He's been crushing on his beautiful assistant baker so she's his obvious choice as a fake girlfriend. Charlie has been pining over her boss for ages and is more than thrilled with the opportunity to take this fake romance and make into something real and lasting. I loved the combo of Swedish and American holiday traditions as these two worked their way to a fab and steamy HEA. Good fun!

I loved Stuffed Deepwood Mountain Holiday Specials. Charlie has had a crush on her boss Thoren since she got hired. Too bad he shows no interest in her. His family just showed up and apparently she’s his girlfriend. Does it mean something or is she just convenient? Thoren loves Charlie but she would never want someone like him, she’s just being helpful. This Thanksgiving will show them they have more to be thankful for. I loved the story and the characters. I would definitely recommend this book.

This is a short and quick holiday read about Thoren and Charlie. It is an age gap romance between an older Viking baker and a young model. Thorem moved from Sweden to LA. He has finally brought his culinary skills to Deepwood Mountain. Charlie went to NY to become a model but tired of the busy life returned. The attraction between them is strong but he thinks he is to old and big for her. When his family comes for the holiday he tells them he is dating Charlie. This is such a sweet and cute story.

This book is part of Deepwood Mountain Holiday Specials. This is a fast paced Thanksgiving novella. Tropes: boss, age gap, Holiday, and fake dating. Thoran lies to his family about having a girlfriend and they assumed his baking assistant Charlie is the girlfriend. Thoran's family is entertaining and I enjoyed the mixture of Swedish words. Took about an hour to read.
