There aren’t many things in the world that capture my interest. As the brother of "Nasu" and a Capo in the Romanian Mafia, my life revolves around the mafia, the wine business, and the art of killing. Everything else feels irrelevant. That was true—until the moment I walked into her office. From the first word she spoke, I knew Brittany Gabriele had to be mine. Now, she’s all I can think about. I am Roman Bucur, and Brittany is my obsession.
Her
I’m a psychiatrist, one who's no stranger to working with the clinically insane. My own mental diagnosis gives me a unique ability to understand the broken minds of others. Life was simple until Roman Bucur, a dangerously handsome man with an air of dominance, strolled into my office. The sinful scent of baccarat clings to his skin, a scent as intoxicating as the man himself. Roman wants my love, but I tried to warn him—my version of love is possessive, even dark. I’m Brittany Gabriele, and this is no ordinary love story.
In "The Devil Wears Baccarat 3: The Finale" by Jatoria C., the line between love and obsession shatters as Roman and Brittany are drawn into a dangerous, twisted romance that neither can escape. Secrets unravel, passions burn, and their worlds collide in ways they could have never imagined. If you’re a fan of African American romance, forbidden love stories, and unhinged Alpha men with sinful desires, you’ll fall in love with this gripping conclusion. The Brasi Family saga.
4 ⭐️. All ima say is they are both unhinged and I’m here for it it lol. If my man not obsessed with me from day one I don’t want him. I enjoyed this. I recommend but check trigger warnings
3.5⭐️🌶️🌶️ A psychopath and sociopath are a match made in heaven. Brittany and Roman to me didn’t have as much chemistry as the other brothers and their wives, but it’s maybe because neither of them can express emotions correctly. This was the least favorite of the series in my opinion, probably because of the lack of chemistry. I love the inner monologue that the characters have, and I really think that Kofi deserves his own book because he is just so funny and says exactly what every reader is thinking. I would’ve liked a lot more in the epilogue about Brittany and Roman, but it said we got information on the other two brothers.
Roman is last brother of the Bucur Mafia Crew, his nickname is mind! He has an obsession with fire, his older brother Constantin makes him an appointment with a therapist to work out his issues after the death of his father.
Brittany is a therapist assigned to help Roman work out his issues, like I’ve said before whatever a Bucur wants they will get!
Such a good ending to this 3 book series. I love how all the brothers have a Romanian nickname for their wives. I would love to read more by this author but also sad that this series has come to an end.
Where's the rest 😜? I loved the entire series. Is it bad that this was my favorite one? I just want to say,"My man, my man, my man." Yep, I'm just as crazy as him. Y'all just read the damn series!!!
I thought we were sure Roman was going to give Brittany a run for her money. What I wasn't expecting it's her to be just as nutty as him just in a slightly different way. What happens when you put a sociopath and a psychopath and a relationship together, pure entertainment that is what you get. I definitely enjoyed this book as well as the other two books in the series. Highly recommended series.
I had to DNF , couldn’t get through it. I was presented with one thing and it fell short of delivering. The FMC was described as being a “sociopath” and “crazy” so I thought I was getting a fmc with equal footing as the mmc and that wasn’t the case at all. In my opinion she was weak in the knees and moved off of emotion and I was just disappointed in both of the main characters, it’s a no for me.
That damn Roman and Brittany is a match made in heaven literally. I don’t know who is crazier but I’m glad they will be crazy together… I’m so ready for Kofi book please let it be semi normal Lol… This series is amazing and I will never have enough of the Bucur men and their wives.
And then there was Roman. The Devil Wears Baccarat Book 3 by Jatoria C. brings us Roman and his journey to love. We soon find that the mysterious Roman is perhaps the most off kilter of the three brothers, so much so that the admittedly unstable Constatin insists that Roman seeks therapy. One would think that this intervention would be a step in the right direction and for a more typical family that would probably be the case. However, Brittany, his new psychiatrist, is just as broken as he is! Between the two of them perhaps their dysfunctionality will cancel each other’s out…one can only hope. The author very kindly gave her readers mini epilogues for each couple, and it was nice to see how they fared with children and life! https://theretiredreader.com/f/the-de...
I wanted a book that had an unhinged MMC that would kill anybody over his woman and the FMC that would do the same with no hesitation. The Devil Wears Baccarat 3 did not disappoint. Roman and Brittany are a match made in crazy land. Roman is out of his mind crazy and Brittany is very much equally yolked. The baby shower was the definition of “fuck around and find out”. All that woman had to do was shut her mouth and read the room. I sad the series came to an end but I can’t wait to read Kofi’s story. Jatoria you pen game is top tier, I gotta give you your flowers.
I think I might have come in with too high of expectations for this one... I love a psychopath and sociopath relationship but this one felt a little lackluster. There were moments of spark especially when fire was involved. However it felt like it would fizzle out shortly after it ignited. I found myself skimming most of the second half of the book until there was action.
This is one of the worst books I havd read in along time. This story should hand been writ ten by a man . the series left the woman with no voice and the abuse was to much for the story you tried tio tell .
I am rating this book 5 stars because this is my favorite book in the series and I think it’s because of the relationship between the lady and the guy. I love the maturity and I also think it’s because both of them are not normal people mentally but they find a way to come together and love on each other and just love each other for who they are and I appreciate that. I also found Roman to be quite cute. There were many times you would just act a certain way. Are you wondering why the hell is he doing like this but the thing is he is unable to express a lot of emotions and is emotional intelligence is resident in him being with Brittany. I enjoyed this book. I loved how connected they were how they understood each other without speaking how maturely the flute. How Roman just wanted to ensure that he made her see why he was the one for her so I love that. I really love that and I think definitely this guy is like a a great book boyfriend apart from the killing and psychopathic attendances how Roman just wanted to ensure that he made her see why he was the one for her so I love that. I really love that and I think definitely this guy is like a a great book boyfriend apart from the killing and psychopathic tendencies is a great good boyfriend is a great good boyfriend.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ now that I have finished this series I have awarded Roman MY FAVORITE BUCUR BROTHER! Out of all the brothers Roman seems the most sane and that’s funny considered his fetishes is killing and fire (pyromaniac). This is a love story about a psychopath (Roman) meeting a sociopath (Brittany) who was also his therapist. As we know with them BUCUR brothers that when a woman has their full attention, they will stop at nothing to make them theirs. Roman had to do a lot of ass kissing and romantic gestures to accomplish just that LOL. Brittany was not letting him have it easy and I LIKE THAT! This was the perfect ending to the series, but as always I needed their story to be just a little longer.
Jatoria babe you ate with this series! I have never seen or read a more lethal brother trio. God help anyone who crosses them, their paths or their WIVES path. Them women are just as insane as them! I LOVE IT.
P.S. I need a story sorely dedicated to KOFI. He was def a highlight of this series!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
What do you get when you mix a sociopath with a psychopath? Brittany and Roman, that’s what !
Those two needed each other more than they knew and their very unconventional relationship bloomed into a love that only those two understood and they were locked in for life.
I’m glad the 3 Bucur brothers found their wives. Kenya, Ari, and Brittany all held the power to tame and transform the lives of these men and show them the real meaning of love as well as being the ride or die females they so desperately needed.
I loved this series. It was fun, quirky, funny and addictive! Jatoria did her big one with the Bucur bros and If you haven’t read about the Monster, the Mind, and the Mystery, well I highly recommend you do! You will definitely be in for a treat!
The Devil Wears Baccurat continues to be a wild ride with Roman's story. I initially thought he was going to be the craziest one, and he was, but Brittany decided she also wanted to be tagged in because she reminds the reader that her and her man's favorite room is padded. Baby girl was definitely not all there, and that's why Roman wanted her as soon as he saw her; he recognized a kindred spirit. Britanny and Roman's romance was actually sweet; bodies were dropping all around them, but Roman was gone romance his obsesia mea no matter what. I think what I love most about this series is that the brothers aren't at all shy about expressing themselves, whether it be good or bad; they are just authentically them. This series was a good time.
I only write reviews when I absolutely love the books and can't put it down, this is one of them. This series is one of my favorites. I saw it on tick tock, and I was intrigued to read it. I absolutely love the writing. I love the plot, I fell in love with the brothers and their wives. I love how it is dark dirty how some of the parts are unbelievably twisted .I love a book that makes you question if you actually want a romance like this in reality. It's everything I need in a dark romance , drama , killing , action, great plot, and the hottest sex scenes .Thank you for being an amazing writer and thinking outside of the box. Keep doing what you do. I loved it.
Where unhinged meets unhinged— the perfect union of a psychopath and a sociopath. I have to say, out of the entire series, Roman and Brittany were my favorites.
It’s rare to see the FMC be just as unhinged as the MMC, but Brittany and Roman matched each other’s chaos perfectly. They were both obsessed with each other, and it made for such a funny, wild, and completely entertaining read.
Roman being called "The Mystery" suited him so well—he was basically a serial killer, turned on by fire, and completely unpredictable. And Brittany? She felt nothing...until Roman came into her life.
This relationship was absolutely toxic and ridiculously codependent—and I could not get enough. Leave it to Jatoria to have us rooting for a love that’s so unhealthy yet so magnetic. I would read this book again and again. I truly loved every minute of it!
The Mystery is definitely different than The Mind & The Monster!
One thing for sure is Roman is definitely different than his brothers! His love for killing and pain was beyond crazy lol! However, he was able to find good person that can accept, accommodate and love him for who he is and the same for her Brittany! He’s able to love, accommodate and love her even though she shows no emotions or feelings at all!
Who I enjoyed the most was Kofi!!! I would love to know more about him not that he’s a BUCUR
Glad that all 3 - Mind, Monster & Mystery were able to find their person as everyone deserves love!!!
I know you said they were all crazy but Alexandur & Constatin ain’t got nothing on Roman at all. This finale definitely kept me on my toes and wanting more. Roman is the perfect balance between these three brothers. Constatin refers him to a psychiatrist that he also sees by the name of Brittany Gabriele. Brittany is determined not to get involved with mafia men bc of her past and what happened to her family. Yall will find out more about that as you delve deeper into the mind of Brittany’s and the mystery that is Roman Bucur. He’s determined to have her at any cost and I do mean any bc he goes to great lengths to find out everything there is to know about his future wife. She was never the relationship type so she steered clear of men but only used them on her terms in her ways. Brittany is good at her job and even better at masking her feelings. What happens when she can no longer mask anything when dealing with him? All of what transpires between the two of them had me reading and wishing it was longer bc the stuff they went through made his brothers look like it was normal. Kofi definitely came into his own and I love that for him. The brothers and their wives had their share of stuff to go through as well but in the end everyone was happy. Wanna know all of the details in between pick up this finale by Jatoria C to find out exactly why Roman Bucut is called The Mystery.
Jatoria really, really went crazy with these two. Roman and Brittany, the psychopath and the sociopath and they performed their roles without remorse. Greg, Greg, Greg. (Pours out a little liquor). Kofi was over the foolishness the Bucur brothers seemed to get into when the fell in love because he was always roped into their schemes. I loved that Ari and Constantin named their son Mischief and he literally lived up to that name by 4. Kenya and Alexandur with the Greek gods names for their brood was too cute. This series was so addictive and dark...really dark at times so pay attention and take heed to the tw's. I really need a Kofi book.
This was an amazing series!!! Although Constant in is still my favorite brother I still feel for Roman. He is really a mystery and moves to the beat of his own drum. When Roman first say Brittany he was a goner. He had met his soul tie. He knew she was missing the toolbox just like he was. I recommend this series to any and everyone who's not afraid of a lil dark romance. What I love about them is that they're crazy and they know they're crazy and so does the women that love them. What you see is what you get with no fks given and I love it.💘💘
I waited to see what route Roman was going to take in life after the way book 2 ended and baby, he did not disappoint. This man owned all his crazy and when Brittany walked into his life he knew that he had found his person..
Plot twist..she knows who he is, what he does, how he does it and she don't care not one bit.
Just like all the brothers Roman's love is not traditional or rational in any sense of the word, but he deserves it and will not stop until she takes her rightful place beside him.
This is Exactly How Harley Quinn Got Caught Up with the Joker… 😳
Out of all 3 books in this series, Book 3 has to be my favorite. I thought Alexandur and Constatin were crazy, but baby, Roman is literally out of his mind… and so is Brittany. I’m sitting here reading those scenes with Tom and I had to put my iPad down and walk away. Roman is sick in the head. And I thought poor Greg was going to make it out unscathed but nope. Whew chile. This is exactly how Harley Quinn got caught up with the Joker’s nutty self
This brother was truly a menace, without a care in the world he just took people out for the entertainment. The best part is that he found his true soulmate in that crazy wife of his that was supposed to be helping him deal with his issues. I wanted to give this a better scoring but felt like it was missing so much more that would have really made this story stand out. It just felt like many parts were rushed through. Nonetheless it was really a good unhinged read.
