Once again I got wrapped up in the world of the Grimm descendants, the Duvall sisters of New Orleans. Geneva has a dual existence as an assistant medical examiner by day and demon hunter by night. Ash, hybrid demon human, is being hunted by his old master, Lord Asmodeus who is running a soul trafficking ring which impacts the mundane world as well. The suspense escalates rapidly as the emotions and fears run high, ending with the altercation in the deathtrap Labyrinth. Passionate, filled with action, frenemies to lovers, a divine kind of cliffhanger ending knowing there's a book 5 in the series. I received an advanced review copy and leave this review voluntary Thank you BookSirens.

I loved this book it was another fantastic book The Grimm Files, the story was written well and the characters Ash Shadowbane and Geneva Duvall, she's an assistant medical examiner, and flys above a fierce fae warrior battling demonic forces with her shimmering green wings. Ash is half demon and half human, he has been trying to do good. These two could feel their fated mates but refuse to acknowledge it they just want the thrill of the hunt. I do highly recommend reading this book even better the series.
I like Ash. He had a lot to overcome, and not just because of his past or his allegiance (past and present). Geneva's attraction may have been the catalyst he needed to overcome the final barriers. But it was her decision to trust that truly convinced him that he could be more than he was.
“New Orleans was a city of secrets, and the Duvall sisters were amongst its most dangerous. The girls were ready, trained from childhood to wield magic like a weapon, their curvy bodies trained and honed into fighting machines. But there was one thing they hadn’t prepared for—their fated mates.”
“You won’t know your full power until you find him. And when you do—everything will change.” “The Grimm Files were more than a curse. They were a prophecy. One that could either save the world—or destroy it.”
The series will revolve around the four Duvall sisters, who are fae—Phoenix, Geneva, Savannah, and Catalina. They will share a stately home with their late mother’s sister, Aunt Maeve. The story will include good versus evil, magic, shifters, and demons. When heavy demonic activity is more prevalent in New Orleans, they know that they must act swiftly, not only for supernatural beings but for humans too.
The fourth story will revolve around Geneva Duvall, assistant medical examiner and fae, and Ash Shadowbane, half-demon, half-human hybrid. Ash has been doomed to walk between two realms, belonging fully to neither. He has lived for centuries and started out serving as an enforcer for Lord Asmodeus, but changed sides and now fights demons, protecting humans and other supernatural’s.
“You think you can stop us? Lord Asmodeus will have your head for this.” “You’ve been sniffing around in places you don’t belong, Shadowbane. Time for you to die.”
“I’ve lived for centuries, longer than most half-demons could even imagine. For a long time, I was on the wrong side of things.”
The story will have Ash injured and he barely stumbles his way to find Geneva and collapses at her feet. She will hide him and tend to his wounds, weaving magic around him. Ash is a jokester, and while he flirts with Geneva, she is unsure about him—yet she also fantasizes about them together. Will these two acknowledge the chemistry between them—or continue fighting it? He has overheard conversations, following rumors, and the evidence is stacking up that demons are trafficking in the souls of supernatural.
Ash: Geneva—you can’t pretend there’s nothing between us. Not anymore. Geneva: I’ve made my decision, Ash. My sisters and I will help you. But that’s all this is. We’re allies. Nothing more. Ash: Fine. We’ll do it your way. But don’t think I’m giving up on this—on us. Geneva: You’re impossible. Ash: I’ve been called worse.
“This was no longer just a mission. It was a battle for survival—and for the fate of New Orleans.”
“It was a battle for their souls, for their future. And as much as Ash feared what lay ahead, he couldn’t help but feel a flicker of hope. Because with Geneva by his side, maybe—just maybe—there was a chance for redemption. For both of them."
Ash: You know, this doesn’t exactly feel like the end of a story. More like the beginning of something—dangerous. Geneva: I’m okay with that. As long as you’re with me.
The story was a page-turning, action-packed tale in a battle of good versus evil. Overcoming demonic forces that want to control the world, humans, shifters, etc.. It is two supernatural beings, a half-demon/half-human hybrid and fae working together, not for themselves, but for all beings, and their beloved town of New Orleans. The story will bring in other characters from previous stories in this series, and how they all work together when needed. Ultimately, Ash and Geneva stop fighting what they feel and discover they are just right for one another.
“Whether you intend to or not, waves are coming. You’re bonded to my niece now, in more ways than one, and the council won’t like it. But that’s their problem, not ours. The Duvall family has always charted its own course, and I don’t see why that should change now.” --Aunt Maeve
“The Duvall sisters and their ‘inappropriate’ mates. Just make sure you’re ready. Things are about to get bumpy.”—Phoenix

REVIEW: MAGIC UNLIMITED is the fourth instalment in Delta James’ contemporary, adult THE GRIMM FILES erotic, paranormal/ fantasy series focusing on the Duvall sisters. This is demon hunting/ assistant medical examiner/ fae healer Geneva Duvall, and half demon/ half human Ash Shadowbane’s story line. MAGIC UNLIMITED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous story lines is revealed where necessary.
Told from dual omniscient perspectives (Geneva and Ash) MAGIC UNLIMITED follows the building relationship between Ash and Geneva, as the couple hunts for a demon lead soul-trafficking ring. Crescent City but more specifically New Orleans is a mecca for demon hunting. A new group of demons is trafficking in souls, and Ash finds himself struggling to keep up with the mayhem, often injured in his fight to eradicate the darkness but a familiar foe sets their sights on our story line couple, forcing Ash and Geneva to work together to take down the baddest of the bad.
The relationship between Ash and Geneva is a frenemies to lovers. Geneva doesn’t have time for romance, spending most of her time either in the morgue or hunting demons but Ash is struggling to keep up with the copious number of demons, and Geneva must come to terms with her feelings for our story line hero. The $ex scenes are provocative.
The secondary and supporting characters include Geneva’s sisters Savannah, Phoenix and Catalina, and their mates; the siblings questionable Aunt Maeve, as well as several demons, and supernatural business owners.
MAGIC UNLIMITED is another story of power and control, magic and mayhem, danger and betrayal. The fast paced, novella length premise is action packed but the conflict resolution was too quick and barely noticable; the romance is passionate ; the characters are desperate and magical.
This 4th book is about Geneva, an assistant medical examiner by day and demon hunter by night. This installment focuses on Geneva and Ash, a half-demon/half-human hybrid. Ash wants Geneva's help after being attacked while investigating a demon trafficking ring.
This sparks a connection that intensifies as they unravel the ring's sinister operation. Their connection deepens as they work together, navigating the complexities of their relationship amidst the danger.
This explores duty and family. The Duvall sisters are bound by a deep sense of duty to protect New Orleans from supernatural dangers, a responsibility passed down through generations along with their magical abilities and a collection of journals known as The Grimm Files. Their family bond is strong and supportive, as seen in their constant communication and willingness to help each other, even when it means risking their own safety. Aunt Maeve, the sisters' aunt, is a powerful and protective figure who plays a significant role in their lives.
The burgeoning relationship between Geneva, a fae, and Ash, a half-demon, challenges societal norms and their own preconceived notions. Geneva struggles with her attraction to Ash because of her upbringing and the ingrained fear of demons within fae society. This internal conflict creates a compelling tension that underscores their developing relationship.
Ash's past as an enforcer for demon lords, particularly Lord Asmodeus, haunts him. He seeks redemption by actively fighting against the forces of darkness and protecting innocent lives. His commitment to fighting for good, even at personal risk, deepens his character and makes his connection with Geneva even more poignant.
Both main characters have their own significant struggles making this story that much more compelling. Their relationship is the heart of the story, filled with tension, attraction, and a clash of ideologies. Geneva's initial distrust of Ash gradually gives way to admiration for his strength and commitment to fighting for good. Their shared experiences in battle and the tough spots forge a powerful bond between them.
The sisters share a deep bond, offering each other support and understanding as they navigate the complexities of their lives as demon hunters. Their unity and unwavering loyalty contribute to the series' cohesiveness.
Magic Unlimited is a glimpse into a world filled with magic, danger, and forbidden love and showcases the strength of family bonds and the power of redemption, even in the face of overwhelming darkness.
This book is all about Geneva Duvall, the last of the sisters fighting to protect New Orleans from evil with their powers. As a descendant of a Grimm, she received her own file at 16, just like her other sisters. Phoenix, Catalina, and her little sister Savannah have found their mates and have fought off waves of different evil forces. However, due to so many people disappearing and/or dying, the mundane police are starting to nose about more. I find this series to be awesome and this book didn’t disappoint. I so needed the AC on both for the steam from Geneva and Ash and because I was freaking out a bit with the new evil that hit. These four sisters were destined to confront the darkest of evils and even the Fae Council is acting strangely. I don’t trust the Fae Council as far as I could throw them! Ash Shadowbane showed up in Phoenix’s book and I really liked him from the start, the hottie. lol. He is part demon and learning about his past is heart breaking and freaky. All of the fight scenes are freaking awesome! Ash gets into a big fight and ends up in Geneva’s morgue looking for her to help him with his injuries. Geneva is assistant ME. (Medical Examiner). He brings her news that had me getting nauseous and dry heaving it was so horrible. I still feel sick that Geneva’s Aunt Maeve had betrayed them, at least now she is back on their side. But, with that came sooooo many questions about the Fae Council and all of the leaders of the different Supernaturals of New Orleans (vampires, witches, fae, etc.). I chewed on my nails a lot during this book because although Ash and Geneva bring the steam in their relationship, what they have to do to stop all the different evils in this book is beyond crazy. I just kept muttering OMG noooo! Throughout the book. lol. I can’t wait to see what happens next.
I received this advance reading copy for free from Booksirens and am voluntarily leaving this review.
Finally - I've been waiting for this story since reading Magic Unleashed (Pheonix and Griff's book - #1). These characters are both so self-isolating with regard to their feelings and desires. Ash has a tumultuous history, much of which he would just like to forget. His human conscious pulls at him, while his demon part wants to unleash itself at opponents. Geneve is a human/fae demon hunter working with her sisters to keep the peace and balance in New Orleans. I loved how Delta brought these two together in this story after Ash's battle with a demon - one that was out for his blood. Learning that body and soul trafficking was surging in her town, Geneva had to do some soul searching of her own. Could she trust to work with this half-demon (she was a demon hunter after all).
The character growth of both Ash and Geneva was blatantly apparent. There was also the growing attraction she felt for him, that was getting harder to ignore the more time they spent together. It was sad, in my opinion, that others judged Ash so harshly for past mistakes. Given the situation he was in when Asmodeus ensnared him, they should focus on the strength and conviction it took to break away from his mind control. Oh well, I'm a sucker for the underdog anyway.
The action/fantasy plot really takes off when Ash and Geneva determine Asmodeus is behind the trafficking. Not only is Ash's freedom at stake, but so are all the trafficking victims as well as the city of New Orleans as a whole.
I received a gift copy of this book and voluntarily provide this review. I highly recommend you read it (though I do suggest reading the series in order). The climax and conclusion maje the experience completely satisfying. Happy Reading Y'all 📚
This is more a 4.75 but I decided to round up. The final battle was a letdown in the quickness and what happened after. The reader did get a quick overview but that was about it.
This is Geneva and Ash's story. The action took center stage, and the romance tagged along. Ash is a known half demon because he's made appearances in the prior books. He's a known ally & knows where he can get help when he's injured. The action keeps a fast pace, and the reader interested. The secondary characters make sense and aren't simply place holders. The story arc helps naturally push the romance along. The sense that these two were always meant to be together. Aunt Maeve is trying to make amends for her actions as well. The other sisters do make appearances, but their significant others don't which is odd. In prior books at least one does, and they are talked more about. The fact they don't could be because this is more otherworldly but at least one is part demon, so you'd think he'd make an appearance. While it doesn't distract from the story, it's just a bit odd.
Overall, this is the one story that leans more into other realms. While action does happen in New Orleans, it's not really noticeable to humans nor is it odd they don't notice. It beautifully completes the sisters finding their mates and sets up the next part of the story arc. "Magic Unlimited" is the fourth book in Delta James' "The Grimm Files" series, and the storyline continues to become more in-depth, intense, and dramatic.
“New Orleans was a city of secrets, and the Duvall sisters were among its most dangerous inhabitants. The sisters were ready—trained from childhood to wield magic like a weapon, their curvy bodies sculpted into fighting machines. However, there was one thing they hadn’t prepared for their fated mates.”
“You won’t know your full power until you find him. And when you do, everything will change.”
“The Grimm Files were more than just a curse; they were a prophecy - one that could either save the world or destroy it.”
We have already explored the stories of Phoenix, Savannah, and Catalina. Now it’s Geneva’s turn. By day, she is the assistant medical examiner, but she is a half-fae, half-human demon hunter by night. Then there’s Ash Shadowbane, a half-demon, half-human hybrid. Ash has been doomed to walk between two realms, belonging fully to neither. He has lived for centuries, starting as an enforcer for Lord Asmodeus but eventually switching sides to fight demons, protecting humans and other supernatural beings.
This is both an intense and explosive read that left me wanting more from this captivating world. I'm not ready to say goodbye.
I love the grimm files series. Magic Unlimited was spectacular and gave me everything I love in a supernatural romance! Action ✅ High stakes ✅ forbidden connection ✅
Geneva Duvall is a fae warrior who hunts demon at night and a medical examiner by day. Ash Shadowbane, a half demon, half human with a tragic past, might just be my favourite character in the series so far. His backstory really made me root for him, even with his morally grey edges.
Geneva and Ash’s uneasy alliance slowly grows into something more, and I loved watching that trust build. Their teamwork is on point.
The story moves fast with plenty of action and dark twists. The demon trafficking plot kept things intense, and the underworld vibes were so vivid. My only reason for knocking off a star? Some of the action scenes felt a bit repetitive, and the spicy scenes didn’t quite bring the heat I expected.
Overall, I had a great time reading this! If you’re into morally grey heroes, strong heroines, and need a quick read, Magic Unlimited is worth diving into.
Thank you to the author and BookSirens for the gifted copy of this book. Please note, all opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own and are in no way influenced by receiving the book.
A great read in this series this story is Geneva's the fourth and final far daughter to find her mate while battling evil and demo s in her city. Geneva is a strong resilient coroner and far demon hunter trying to cope and mesh both her human life and that as a supernatural which is hard enough without her having to save and patch up a half demon fellow hunter that shows up at her job in big trouble. Feelings arise with him but how can she ever trust a half demon when she's been taught all her life to hunt them. Ash is a fierce lonely but determined demon hunter who walks between two worlds fitting in neither. He's broken free from serving a demon Lord but is always fighting himself not to give in to his darkness. He feels protective of Geneva and enlists her help to fight what he feels coming. Together they stumble upon a trafficking ring of supernaturals and together they must defeat evil to save others. Excitement, suspense, danger, self discovery, trust and more is experienced reading this intriguing book. I received an arc copy from book sirens and this is my honest voluntary review.
Geneva Duvall is mor inclined to remain solitary, it's why she works as a medical examiner during the day and keeps her demon hunting activities to the overnight hours. When Ash Shadowbane a half human/half demon hunter comes to her for help by collapsing on her floor, she hesitates at first. But when he explains that members of the supernatural community are disappearing at an alarming rate, she hears him out. In the end it may be up to just the two of them to save the victims of the powerful demon who is trafficking in the souls of the supernaturals. Fantastic must-read addition to a wonderful series, I loved it. Plenty of exciting action, magic, steamy interactions between the main characters, and some surprising twists that made it hard to put this book down. All of the characters are engaging with some fascinating personality quirks that kept me engrossed from the first page. I recommend this book to other readers.
I voluntarily reviewed a complimentary copy of this book.

Has fate led them to work together? You will love this super exciting, funny, thrilling, and scorching hot story and series. This is a five star plus series.
I’ve been waiting for Geneva Duvall’s story. She is one of the four fae sisters and descendants of the Grimm family. Geneva is an assistant medical examiner, and like her three sisters is a demon hunter. They have received help in the past from Ash, part human/part demon. Ash’s former master and demon, Lord Asmodeus heads a soul trafficking ring that captures supernaturals and humans. He also wants Ash back into his demon fold.
Ash and Geneva have always had a level of attraction toward one another, but Geneva fights it because Ash is half demon. He is attacked by demons and manages to get to the morgue for Geneva to help him with his severe injuries. She repairs him with the help of some magic and her attraction to him becomes more open.
As they team up to fight the demons and to release the captures humans and supernaturals, their love for one another grows. Her power strengthens when she finds her mate. She and Ash become unstoppable! I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Let's get this out of the way because I struggled my way through this. 5 days to read a 127-page book... that's not great. Neither was this book, unfortunately.
I didn't think it would be possible for a super short story to be overwritten, yet here we are. This could have been condensed into 40 pages and it likely would have been just as impactful, but without the headache. I was extremely disappointed in this, likely because this was the one in the series that I was most looking forward to... I guess you could call this book a catfish. The sex scenes were weird and dry, the POVs felt like I was reading from the same one-dimensional character the whole time and the story line is nearly the same as the last three. Someone else said if you've read one you've read them all and I second that. This book etched permanent lines into my forehead out of annoyance and displeasure. Read at your own will, not my cup of tea and I would have liked to DNF.
Thank you to Delta James for the ARC. I will be continuing the series, because I hate myself.
To start this is one of my all time favorite authors everything I have read has been spectacular. I was thinking that this was a series of 4 books so I was thrilled when I got to the end and there will be more books in this world.
I believe that Geneva and Ash story has been the most heartfelt of the 4 sisters. It just seemed there was more tenderness between them. However the other sisters books were perfect for each couple I guess Geneva has just seemed more quiet and maybe withdrawn. Ash became her soulmate and strength were she became his balance and reason to continue fighting his demonic side. Delta is a superb world builder and each of her book groupings is totally different from the next her minds world must be so very full how she manages to keep each world separate is just beyond me, but that is why she is the author she is and I’m not

I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. We met Geneva in previous books as one of the fae Duvall sisters. She is the one who stays grounded so to speak as a coroner at the city morgue. Things are getting out of hand in the Crescent City. There have been more disappearances and the human police are noticing. Ash, half demon half human, has always felt a pull towards Geneva. He hasn't always been a redeeming demon after working for Asmodeaus for so long but it keeps his humanity to help others. But Asmodeaus has other plans...sending demons after him to make him return to service. Ash had 2 goals, stop the demons and keep Geneva safe. They have discovered a trafficking ring of shifters, demon, fae and humans and they must work together to stop it plus keep their growing attraction at bay. Can Geneva and Ash go against a high level demon and come out unscathed?
Between the constant fighting that Ash seems to be doing with all the demon busting and Geneva poring through her research in the morgue, I was exhausted for the both of them! When I see how Ash turns up wounded and unconscious at Geneva’s workplace, I’m having a hard time believing that he can continue to fight so many demons where he seems to be quite injured yet he needs no rest or recovery to be able to continue fighting even longer bigger battles alongside Geneva. Their sexy times were also unhindered after battle.
I liked reading about Ash’s struggle to redeem himself and find acceptance from Geneva. It was interesting to see how his demon half affects him and how Geneva, who has always been taught to fight demons allow Ash into her heart. I was worried about certain workplace eavesdropping but it seems it was a non event.
I received an ARC from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving a review.
This book is a 3.5 star read for me. It was good enough but lacked something. Geneva had the possibility of being a great hero with a truly interesting backstory but somehow it felt flat. The opening scene with Ash collapsing at Geneva's feet was intriguing. Then this book read like a bit of a reiteration of the other stories to date. The mystery was fine but not as emotional or frightening as the others in this series. Book still had plenty of steam but just lacked something that previous books had. However, the final few pages of the book make be believe the next story may have promise. We are going to get some new characters with different backstories and a different role for the Duvall sisters and their mates.
Overall, not bad just not a lot of new information until the end. Fingers crossed the next book in the series offers something fresh. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
The 4th book in the Grimm Files series is another fast-paced read featuring Geneva and Ash.
Geneva is the last single Duvall sister and she’s struggling a bit with the number of recent changes as each of her sister have found their mates. The city is facing an ever increasing threat from dark forces. Lastly, she is struggling with her attraction to the half-human/half-demon, Ash.
I’ve been waiting for Ash and Geneva’s story since the very first book in the series. The attraction between Geneva and Ash is blatant and extremely strong.
Ash had a lot to overcome, his past actions and allegiance. His attraction to Geneva attraction was what he needed to overcome his internal struggle with his demon half. Geneva struggled with trusting Ash, but equally struggled to resist the attraction between them. In the end their connection was more powerful and destined.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
If you've read one you've read them all. Magic Unlimited is Delta James' fourth book in the Grimm Files series. As with the other books it is fast paced, meet your mate, do it all on your on even though you have family that are also doing the exact same thing. It does get redundant. What still leaves me wondering are the overall questions about who and what they are fighting. Is this series supposed to be connected to any of the other series? The Duvall sisters are acknowledged in a Shadow Sisters book. As with the other books in this series, it leaves you with more questions than answers. The best part of the book is the lack of typos and errors that have recently plagued Ms. James books across all her series. If you liked the other books in this series, you will probably like this one but I don't think this is a read twice series. I borrowed this book from Kindle Unlimited.
Ash and Geneva. Shes the fourth Duvall sister living in New Orleans the city of Demons and Magic. She also was given her Grimm File and weapons on her sixteenth birthday as were her sisters Phoenix, Savanna and Catalina, a file handed down from generation to generation from the original Grimm, Charlotte, sister to the Grimm Brothers and inspiration of their stories written from her demon hunting adventures. She also must seek her fated mate to have her powers reach their potential. She was the assistaint medical examiner and fae demon hunter. Ash is half demon and half human who walks between two realms. He thinks about Geneva but he knows happiness isnt for him. She only sees him as a danger. Or so he thought. They must put aside their distrust and fight their common enemy. This story is full of action, magic, passion, demons and betrayal. Another wonderful story by Delta James as always.

A simply wonderful read, great characters and the scenario was extremely well written This was a simply wonderful read and it was another simply wonderful collaboration of the two main characters and they are joining forces in their fight against evil in New Orleans. This was a simply wonderful read and I loved the integration of Geneva discovers her perfect mate in Ash who is a half Demon and Half human that is helping her to battle his old boss Asmodeus. The interaction between the couple sparks and the passion that they share will have to see them through their battles and it is essential that they keep their passion at bay whilst they do battle and face their fate together. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.
Fae And Demon 4-5* A new series about the four Duvall sisters, part fae, part human, living in New Orleans and fighting demons and other evil to keep the city safe. Each book is a separate HEA of one of the sisters. Geneva, by day an assistant medical examiner and by night a demon hunter (doesn’t she ever sleep?) and Ash, a centuries old half demon, half human have worked together in the past. This time the attraction grows into something more when they discover another attack by demons. In fact, the demon leader Ash has worked for when his demon side was the strongest. I am glad to be able to read (a bit) about the other sisters and their partners and to me the coming together of this duo was more heartfelt and authentic. Still not sure where the story goes, apart and together. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Geneva's story. Ash is half-demon and has been around a long time. He has done his best to totally change his life and fights to keep his demon half under tight control. Coming across evidence that someone is selling supernatural souls, and after getting badly hurt in a fight, he knows he needs help to bring down the perpetrators. He manages to get to Geneva in the morgue and she helps him recover. After hearing his story, she knows she has to help him. She is drawn to him, but worried about his demon side as he is obviously having a hard time keeping it under control. Things get even worse when they figure out who it is that is behind the soul stealing ring.
Good news! We might have run out of sisters, but Delta has not run out of stories in the series. I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
This book entices readers from the start and doesn't let go until the last page. This is an action packed rollercoaster ride full of duty, family, faes, demons, prophesies and the romance tags along for the ride. The storyline is intense and gripping as Ash and Geneva come to grips with a relationship neither one is prepared for. Geneva is one of the Duvall sisters who is an assistant medical examiner for the city of New Orleans by day and a demon hunter by night. Something evil is coming and must be stopped. Ash is half demon and half human with a very dark and troubled past. Their attraction is building and both have fought it for awhile. The series The Grimm Files and the characters will keep you coming back for more. This author is an expert at world building and the reader is just along for the ride. Well done.
Geneva Duvall was an Assistant Medical Examiner and Fae Demon Hunter along with her infamous sisters… After successfully dispatching a demon, returned to morgue to finish up her shift when Ash Shadowbane, a human/demon hybrid the sisters sometimes worked with collapsed in her office, the victim of a violent demon attack by several demons… his old boss wanted him to return to the fold… but as hybrid, he never fully belonged to either realm… something Geneva understood… he had heard of new demon faction who were enslaving and trafficking humans, fae and shifters led by Asmodeus… but can Ash convince Geneva and her sisters he is able to control his demon half??? You will need to read the book to see what happens… I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Geneva knew the prophesy/prediction about meeting her fated mate and the union enhancing her powers, so I didn’t see why she wasn’t more accepting of her growing feelings for Ash. Ash brought balance and life to Geneva - where she was contained and analytical (and working in the morgue), he was emotional and quick to react, and she gave him an anchor and stability. Given how the Duvall sisters’ mother had been banished by the fae council for daring to love a human (and dilute the pure fae bloodlines), I don’t know why the council thought they’d have ANY power over the sisters or their choice of mates. Lots of action! Quick read. The danger is still there - who’s up next?
