Unlike the previous novels in this series, which were fairly short, this one is a full-length novel. I feel that the length of this book should not have been expanded because it slowed the pacing and made certain passages quite monotonous. The banter was fantastic, but the majority of the book was spent on unneeded and lengthy explanations of incidents that, in my opinion, could have been easily omitted. Considering the thin plotline, I feel that this book really shouldn't have been 350 pages long.

This series is definitely best enjoyed sporadically, because I’ve enjoyed every one I’ve had to wait for, but was over it when I binged it. Funny how that works, huh?

The book was filled with juvenile and over-the-top antics—I mean that positively! I enjoyed Sienna being able to charm anyone while Drago got jealous because she was playing video games with one of his men. Or laugh with one of his men. Or, honestly, give attention to anyone that wasn’t him.

The idea of a perfect, quirky, you-can’t-help-but-love-her main character could have easily gotten tired or annoying as a plot device, but it worked here. The dynamic between Drago and Sienna was perfect, and I cannot stress how much I appreciated that her spying/reporting wasn’t saved as a big betrayal or reveal in the third act. Seriously. Thank you Neva Altaj for not doing that.

I enjoyed my time reading this so much that I was bummed when it was over. I can’t wait to see what comes next in the series—here’s hoping we get at least 20 more books set in this universe. I may not remember who’s who, or who belongs to which crime syndicate, but I’m having a blast.

Giggling and kicking my feet yet again.

Drago is SO down bad, I cannot. He’s so obsessed with her. Like I just love how much he lost his head as soon as he met her 🤭
He literally threatens to unalive anyone who so much as looks at Sienna… hehehe yes it’s romantic. I don’t make the rules. I LOVE a jealous MMC. Sue me.

Sienna is the sweetest sunshine, I love her! Plus she had this man wrapped around her little finger & it was the best thing ever.
These mafia men in this series are just so perfect. They are so possessive but then are the biggest softies for their girls. They literally fold like a lawn chair to make them happy. I am literally screaming hehehe.

These books are just pure vibe reads but I don’t care, it ate. So much fun, 4 stars for making me giggle so much after my last read torn my heart to shreds!
Also, I love they are all arranged marriages 💃🏻

These two were so feisty!

Neva Altaj takes the Mafia trope of Arranged Marriage and made me fall in love with this quirky heroine, Sienna, and her brroding new husband, Drago, and took me on a fun and touching journey with them.

Sienna is the twin sister of Asya, and she is strongly persuaded by her Don, to marry Drago for the family. She carries so much guilt over what happened to her sister and she feels like it's her duty to do this. This being not only the marriage but spying on her new husband's home and operation. She learns a new language and puts on a act that is meant to keep Drago of kilter and gain the information she needs.

Neither Drago or Sienna are prepared for the feelings they have for the other and what starts as a business arrangement quickly begins to feel like more. So Sienna has some tough choices to make.. be loyal to her old family or her new one.

As always, I find something so cozy about Neva Altaj' mafia books. This one more so than a few of the previous ones. Silent Lies just wasn't as heavy as the last two. I don't mind at all when her books get that way, as it is necessary with some of the content she takes on, but I did really appreciate the sweeter tilt to this one. I loved Drago's compound full of his people and family. I fell for them just like Sienna did.

If you have loved the previous novels in this book, this will be an easy win for you as well. It includes adorable moments like awkward bed sharing with cuddles, crazy yellow outfits, and guard dogs we want to pet.

I am beyond excited for Kai's book which is finally coming next! Hooray!

lord I needed a book like this so bad and with every fiber of my being I wanted to enjoy this story but the cringefest of a heroine keeps taking me out of the mood with her incessant bs which is in NO WAY endearing. Girl u can't convince me anyone adores this shit?? To a certain point maybe it is bearable but nah. ruined it. Then on the other hand trying to give her this edge of having a deeper meaning and self, there is NONE.

Esta mujer tiene la fórmula para hacer un libro adictivo y esta vez lo logro porque el anterior libro no me gusto. 

Este libro me lo terminé literalmente en horas, pero es que es adictivo de leer, me recuerda cuando empecé leyendo los libros de neva hace un año aproximadamente. 

Drago aceptó el matrimonio arreglado y ahora está sumamente irritado por el mero hecho de que su esposa tenga hipnotizado a sus trabajadores e incluso a sus propios perros. Le resulta irritante porque drago percibe que debajo de toda esa alegría hay algo que esconde su esposa y mientras más pasa el tiempo es inevitable que él también se sienta hechizado por ella. 


Disfrute mucho leer este libro y se encuentra en mi top de esta serie más que nada se me hizo muy cómico a la vez, así que se los recomiendo si quieren algo corto o adictivo.

Drago es ese tipo de hombre que me encantan y Dios mío las veces me emocione mientras leía este libro fue UFF. Conecte mucho con sienna porque es un personaje que finge que todo está bien por el miedo de perder a alguien en su vida o quedarse sola.

Los dos me encantaron como pareja ❤️‍🩹

This book was better than the last, and I enjoyed reading Sienna and Drago's story. Maaan, he's so down bad for her, and I love his ott obsession and possessiveness with his wife. He's a scary and ruthless leader, and he only has a soft spot for her. Gosh, Drago had me swooning with all the sweetest gestures he did for Sienna, and how I wish he's not a fictional character 😂

— He supports all her ridiculous wardrobe; he even buys her outrageous shoes and sparkly things because he knows this will make her happy.
— He found a replacement for her dead fish secretly because he didn't want her to get sad.
— He bought her expensive emeralds because she wanted decoration in her fish tank. He only told her it was just some sparkly rock.
— He painted her nails and even put glitter on them.
— While wearing a gold tutu and fur slippers, she shot a mug close to him to prove a point, and instead of getting mad, this only turned him on.
— She always goes to a separate room to sleep, but every night he keeps bringing her back to their room.
— At 32%, he already knew she was sent to spy on him, but he couldn't find it in him to get angry at her. So he waited and waited for her to admit it.
— He's ott jealous, possessive, and obsessed with her. I'm really scared for those guys who get into close proximity with Sienna. 😂
— He dropped the love bomb first, and he never shied away from expressing his devotion to her.
— He was a grumpy motherfxcker but with Sienna's sunshine, he became a different person.

Tbh, there is so much more that he did in the book that made me giggle and swoon at the same time. He's got his own brand of crazy, but I'm still here for all of it. The only issue I had with him was the way he took her virginity. He did it in his club against a wall. I really thought he would stop so that it would be comfortable for her, but he didn't. Aside from this, there's nothing bad I can think of about Drago.

As for Sienna, I love her sunshine persona, though I know sometimes she only uses it to hide how she really feels. But I liked how she made people comfortable around her and that she could befriend anyone. Even Drago's three scary dogs turned their back on him and decided to protect Sienna instead 😂 Her ridiculous outfits had me laughing so hard. She acts like she's this dumb brat, but she's so far from that. I'm glad Drago sees her beyond the facade. The only issue I had with her was her indenial of feelings. It took two gunshot wounds for her to finally confess her love for him. It was a bit too late for my liking, but I'm still glad she did. Other than that, Sienna is really a likeable character. She complements Drago in every way, and the way she makes him less hard and scary is so endearing to read.

Overall, I enjoyed this. I like the organized crime part, action, and suspense. But I'm mainly focused on the romance, and I truly enjoyed reading about this couple. Though I have to say the first half felt kind of dragging for me, it eventually got better in the second half. Anyway, I still liked it; it's worth reading and recommending, imo.

Mannn, I’m having such a good time rereading mafia romances, and this is a really good one. I think the second book in the series is my favorite, but this is a really close second.

What do we think, is the Serbian mafia really a thing? I don’t know, but boy oh boy did it work for me. You guys KNOW I’m a Bratva girlie, and this gave that kind of vibe, but with a new feeling or twist. AND Drago is the sexiest name ever, you can’t tell me otherwise!!!!!

The FMC, Sienna, is so sweet. She loves wearing multicolored, crazy outfits, and most people roll their eyes at it and don’t understand her, but Drago doesn’t bat an eye and loves her more for it. I love their dynamic, and again I thought this book had such a good mix of emotional moments and fun, lighthearted elements.

First read - 2025
Hell yeah this is what I’m TALKING about. This was just a good mafia romance with a good plot and some nice comedic relief scenes thrown in.

I never thought a dark mafia romance book would make me laugh so many times. Sienna’s had the best personality, her flimsy colorful self was witty and I loved her interactions with everyone, especially of course with Drago.

However, Sienna is not at all what she portrays, and this was something that we got to see in her POV throughout the book. We know from Asya's book that everything is not perfect despite what she portrays to the outside world, so if you have not read Asya's book ‘Fractures Souls'', please do so to get a better understanding of the context.

Drago and Sienna are placed in an arranged marriage for business purposes we all know these two will fall hard for each other.

Was this grumpy x sunshine? Yes, but the sunshine has cloudy days as well.

There are so many cute moments in this book, and I won't say what exactly but here it is out of context:

- Milk jug

Drago's world is different than what I expected, his family-oriented focus was very different than what we were used to in the previous books. The dynamic is very out of the norm from what Sienna ever knew within the Cosa Nostra, but despite that she fits right in perfectly and everyone falls for her.

Drago was OTT, possessive, obsessed and jealous. Not because she ever did anything to incite them (well not on purpose), but he just fell for his wife and everyone who ever even looks at her will get their eyes scooped out.

Can't wait for the rest of the series and the next couples!

Sunshine & roses surround Sienna wherever she goes. Too bad that deep down this girlie is hurting from some real trauma. That’s why she readily agrees to an arranged marriage to a stranger 💍 She just doesn’t want to end up alone!! ENTER DRAGO POPOVIC aka the Priest aka the Big-Bad-Serbian. Although he knows she is a spy Drago just can’t resist & Sienna has him wrapped around her little finger in no time.

I loved how well Drago & Sienna complimented each other. Sienna was the much needed sunshine in Drago’s life while he provided immense security & love (AND FAMILY!) to her. The spice was pretty kink free (aside from the club encounters) but Drago’s possessiveness & obsession really added to the tension 🌶️ definitely one of my favorite couples!

“Because I’m the only man who’s going to bathe in your sunshine, Sienna,” he says next to my ear. “No one else.”

“Jesus fuck, I’m a goner for that woman.” *setting impossible standards for RL men*

I’m really enjoying the pace of this series. Would definitely recommend to readers trying to get into mafia romance. It’s dirty but not too crazy taboo where I can never look you in the eyes again after recommending it

Cuando leí la serie por primera vez me quedé en este, y puedo decir que me gustó igual que la primera vez.

Confieso que estaba preocupada; no quería que me dejara de gustar considerando que siempre había sido de mis favoritos de la serie. Tenía un recuerdo bastante vago de la trama, así que fue como leerlo por primera vez pero con pequeños spoilers.

Creo que mi amor por el libro tiene mucho que ver con Sienna y Drago. Si los miras desde afuera, parecen una dinámica genérica de este género, pero ellos tienen un “algo” que no sé descifrar, pero me encanta. Sienna es el verdadero sunshine, pero tiene mucho más bajo esa máscara. Al igual que Drago: podría ser pura oscuridad para la mafia, pero en su perspectiva ves que hay mucho más debajo.

Además, me encantan los crossovers cada vez más constantes que hace Neva. No olvidemos que Asya es mi personaje femenino favorito de la serie hasta ahora y verla aquí en su papel de hermana fue increíble.

Por otro lado, la dinámica “familiar” con todas las personas que viven en casa de Drago es súper diferente; al igual que Sienna, nunca me lo imaginé. Y los perros me encantaron; las mascotas o los niños siempre son un plus para mí. Solo diré: la escena final de los protagonistas es pura escarcha rosa JAJAJAJAJJAJAJA (si lo leíste me entiendes). 🩷

Para aclarar, confirmo que es de mis favoritos de la serie y creo que es uno de los de Neva que tiene mejor trama. A partir de ahora leeré los que nunca he leído de la serie... deséenme suerte.

Siento que estoy siendo muy floja/ambigua con estas reseñas, pero ajá... la vida de adulto.

Do good books even exist anymore?

-So let's get into this, I can take some of the blame for not checking the age gape which was a 𝙢𝙖𝙟𝙤𝙧 factor why I gave this book a low rating.
because tell me why and how's an almost 40 yo male (37) interested in a 𝖿𝗋𝖾𝗌𝗁 20 yo girl who dresses like she's a 5 yo kid sometimes and even acts like one too? she literally owns a 𝙘𝙝𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙚𝙣 𝙘𝙤𝙖𝙩. And could've been his daughter in another lifetime? As 𝗁𝖾 𝗁𝗂𝗆𝗌𝖾𝗅𝖿 said so. And on top of that he calls her "baby" I mean old man she IS a baby compared to you.

- also he took her virginity against the wall of his club while there were people still inside and the next morning she woke up alone in his bed 🙂

- the relationship development was basically none existent they were instantly attracted to each other, slept together, he found out when she was a spy, they took a break then boom they're in love .

- other than that he actually cared about her deeply, and she was his priority also this man had her put colored 𝖼𝗋𝗒𝗌𝗍𝖺𝗅𝗌 in an aquarium just bc she liked them. He was good to her. she was herself with him but the age gape really wasn't for me it was very creepy in a way .

Easy 4.5 star read!!

This book was unexpectedly fun! If you're into a tough-as-nails criminal MMC who's a softy for his partner, and a FMC who's a bit wild but totally sweet, then you’ll love this read. It's not your typical dark romance—it's more like a lighter version with just a hint of mafia vibes. Perfect if you want mafia without all the heavy stuff. The love story? Oh, it's a slow burn, with plenty of teasing and banter to keep you hooked. Highly recommend for a fresh take on romance!

Finally, a book that pulled me out of a reading slump! After a string of misses, this one was a definite hit. The story was incredibly entertaining, and I found myself fully immersed from start to finish.

Sienna was a standout character for me. Despite her "ditzy" persona, she revealed herself to be incredibly intelligent with layers of depth that kept me intrigued. Her chemistry with Drago was off the charts, and I loved how he saw beyond her facade to the real her. Their dynamic was electric, though I'll admit, there were moments when Drago's possessiveness felt a tad overwhelming. A little relaxation wouldn't hurt, buddy! But overall, their relationship was chefs kissed and kept me eagerly turning the pages.

I couldn't get over how Drago was wo whipped for her. The things he did for her were seriously swoon-worthy, and I loved how he saw past her bubbly act. It showed just how crazy and head-over-heels he was for her. And it was awesome to see Sienna finally finding her place with his crew. When I tell you she literally had him wrapped around her little finger to the point where he forgot to brush the glitter out of his hair. Imagine this big tough mafia dude, covered in glitter—it was definitely a scene that made me lmao!

Welll this one maybe definitely be my favorite in the series. I fear Drago may have taken Salventore crown lol. I love Sienna so much that way she was sunny but also had her really cloudy moments. It was beautiful seeing how she falling in love with Drago and trusting him with her authentic self. And of course Drago was already head over heels over her. Like he had her thinking she was putting random rocks in her aquarium when reality they were expensive gem stones just to make her happy. AHHHHH🤭😆. Anyways can I say how messy torre be because why I feel he about to pair Arturo with Tara 👀👀. Overall I had fun I can always count in a fun mafia book to bring me out of a slump😊

Se sabe que el age gap it´s not my cup of tea pero Neva Altaj hace que no sea tan relevante y este caso es muy grande la diferencia de edad pero no me molestó.

Pero ella oculta su gran tristeza en su forma de ser y Drago lo ve.

No no creo que sea el mejor libro de Neva pero si es entretenido y mucho mejor que el anterior.

Amo a Salvatore es un gran cupido amé ese capítulo extra planeando el emparejamiento de una nueva pareja.

This was really really different from the typical matchmaking mafia marriages. Despite the gloomy circumstances of Sienna and Drago, Sienna was such a ray of sunshine and a pack of glitter that really get on the nerves of Drago. However I loved that fact that Drago didn't judge her on that part. This book lacked a certain connection that I don't have in my ability to explain, the book was named Silent Lies however Drago already knew her lie from the start soooooo it didn't kinda fit.

Drago escondía algo que quizás para un mafioso sería una debilidad pero para el no lo era, su familia todo 💖

Bu serinin kitaplarını çıkar çıkmaz okuma sebebim, sanırım yazım tarzı. Hem dual pov hem de bölümler kısa ve net. Gereksiz saçmalıklar ve kafa yormalardan uzak. Dram sahneleri bile benim için biçilmiş kaftan. Belki başka türde yazılsa bunu tasvip etmezdim ama mafya romanslarda benim için işleyen bir sistem.

Yine yaş farkı, anlaşmalı evlilik ve mutlu son. Bu adamların önüne geleni biçip kesmesi ama kadın karaktere çiçek olması çok sevimliydi. Sienna'nın acısını, endişesini parlak bir gülümseme ve ondan da parlak ve şatafatlı kıyafetlerle gizlemesi...Başkalarının yargılayıcı bakışlarının yanında Drago'nun bunu sevimli bulması güzeldi. Hatta bir alışveriş sahneleri var. Satış danışmanına en uçuk, saçma ve parlak tasarımı getirmesini istiyor 😂 Hanımı öyle seviyor.😅Bence fena değildi.Drago'nun Sienna'ya hayır diyememesi de yine güzel bir eklentiydi.

Sonraki kitap aklı yerinde olmadığı düşünülen ve aşırı şiddet ve işkenceye maruz kalan Kai'nin hikayesi. Merak ediyorum elbet ama Arturo ve Tara da bende merak uyandırıyor.

It was interesting to read about Asya's sister because her book was my favourite.

And Sienna's book did NOT disappoint.


I liked that her trauma didn't go away after MMC came along and that she struggled with it throughout the book.

I feel like this book was not plot-driven, but more character-driven, and that fit perfectly.

Also, the chemistry, banter and tension between Sienna and Drago was top notch. I loved every second of it.


But honestly, the men in this series need to take a break because they are so possessive and jealous that it's driving them crazy.


After rereading it, I lowered my rating, but I still liked the book, just not as much.

°me ENCANTÓ la relación de ambos, el como Drago amaba las excentricidades de Sienna amándola por ello pero viendo el trasfondo de los mismos ✨

°algo que amo de Neva es la inclusión con protagonistas com diferentes discapacidades y lo bien que lo incluye sin ser el centro del libro

°lean este precioso libro si aman el mafia romance y loa hombres posesivos grumpy cayendo por su chica Sunshine ✨

Another favourite from the series. I adored our FMC’s eccentric style and the differences with the Serbian mafia compared to the bratva and Italian mob. It was a solid read. Drago made his way to second in place. Right under Mikhail
