Bad boy cop Storm Kelly is on the prowl for some action. And the way he’s feeling, he doesn’t much care if it comes in the form of a bar fight or a smart, sassy woman. So when he gets off his Harley and walks into a biker bar, he’s in his element when he finds both … barroom brawl, check. Rescue the damsel in distress, check. And with any luck, that sexy damsel might just turn out to be the perfect sub he’s been searching for.
Nina Fitz is in a world of trouble when the sexy stranger comes to her rescue. Never one to resist a hot guy on a motorcycle, she quickly decides to invite this one home. And when the jerk from the bar decides he’s not through with her, Officer Storm Kelly becomes her protector. But after one night of passion with Storm, Nina is left wondering if she can handle his dark dominant side.

Wow! I have to admit that I never had an image of a sexy police officer or detective in my head, but I certainly do now! This is the first novella I read of the four that precede The Kelly Family novel.
This is the short and sexy story of Storm, the eldest of the Kelly siblings. It gives us some history of the issue he has with his father, Mike Kelly, who is also a police officer.
Nina Fitz finds herself in a jam in a small hole in the wall bar and lucky for her that Storm is in the right place at the right time.
This is a very well written novella that is both enjoyable and entertaining. I started this and didn't put it down until I was finished. I really enjoyed it and can't wait to keep reading the rest of the books in this series.
Oh, and these novellas have some amazingly hot covers too!!
I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.
Storm Kelley is my new favorite of the Kelley boys. He’s got it all: hot, bad boy cop who’s also dominant. I’ll take him! He’s also got a soft spot for damsels in distress. Out of the four Kelley siblings, Storm is the one who has the most difficult relationship with their dad. He’s the oldest so naturally he’s expected to follow in dear old dad’s shoes. Storm rebels against it and does his own thing. I love that about him. He’s not one of those guys who just lays down and takes it. No, he fights for what he wants and is damn good at his job.
One night after a particularly bad fight with his dad, Storm is in rare form and finds a bar that cops don’t go. He’s looking for trouble and he finds it alright. He finds a woman, Nina, being held against her will by a nasty thug who’s trying to rape her. Storm rescues her and takes her home. He’s attracted to her, but he won’t make a move without her consent.
Nina’s in over her head with the guy from the bar and doesn’t tell Storm the whole story. Instead she focuses on her attraction to him. She’s not sure about the “kink” he’s into until he uses it on her and she’s hooked! She doesn’t know he’s a cop until she thinks someone’s breaking into her house and he’s the one to respond to the call. Nina’s sure that once they find out who’s behind the stalking, Storm will leave for good.
This story is fast paced and is a quick read. It gives us some drama while focusing on Nina and Storm. You get a better sense in this book I think about why the Kelley siblings don’t think that their dad loves them or is proud of them. You also get a look at why Storm feels the most hostile towards their dad. He’s a fantastic character and you’ll love him. Nina isn’t your typical whinny damsel in distress; in fact she tries to find her own way home at first. You won’t be disappointed when you pick this book up.

This is my second book by Lashell Collins. Storm Kelly is a police officer, one in a long line of family tradition. His brother Ethan is a police officer in their home town and there are numerous cousins in law enforcement.
Storm is the oldest of the 4 siblings, and even though in Ethan’s story, Storm was mentioned as the favorite son, we find out that isn’t the case. The father Mike Kelly is a police officer also but is very strict and unable to show affection, etc.
Storm has a history of charming women but hasn’t found anyone for a serious relationship. Frustrated with his father, he takes off on his motorcycle and ends up in the next county at a bar. While sitting in the bar he hears screams and meets Nina Fitz, who is being held by the bar owner and his thugs. After saving her, he gives her a ride home. They had an instant attraction but they don’t know anything about each other. He proceeds to give her a safety lecture since she leaves an extra key in an easily accessible spot.
When she invites Storm to stay, she starts to realize that he likes to dominate in the bedroom and is unsure at first if she wants to have her hands tied. Should she trust him?
Since this is a short story it is difficult to say much without giving the entire story away. After the second of four novella’s, I am enjoying Ms. Collins’ writing. It’s very descriptive and even though Storm is a good guy, you would think he was a bad boy – stirring up trouble in high school. It’s very funny to read that as much hell as the brothers and cousins stirred up while growing up in the area, Storm thought the teacher’s and others were probably unsure about these previously wild teenagers, wearing a badge and gun.
The stories of each of the family members are entertaining and this one is very sexy. I have enjoyed this series so far and look forward to reading more.
I was provided a copy of the book by the Author for an honest review.
WOW HOT I just finish reading this book, and I have to say that I am so in love with this series, I love the characters, and love how the book turn out to be, I read the first book in the series and I love it, but now after reading the second book, I don't know which one to love more, this are short story that you could read under two hours, or less that's why I am gone keep this really short, since I don't want to give anything away.
This is Storm and Nina story, Storm is the older of the brothers and sister, in the Kelly family, a Family that is involved in the law enforcement, Storm is the one that looks more like his father, the night that he told his father that he apply to be a detective, his father gets mad and that gets him mad too, that's when he decide to take a ride on his bike, that's when he end up in a bar, and that's when he met Nina and recue her. Nina is tattoo artist and she has her own shop, she love what she does, but what she love even more is nice bike with a hot owner, and that's what Storm is, that was the night that Storm and Nina found each other with out looking for each other. And change their life's.
I really love and enjoy reading this book, love how Nina and Storm are with each other, love it even more when she found out that he was cop, and I love their attitude, I am really loving this series, and now I am so ready to read about the next member in the Kelly family. Author Lashell Collins THANK YOU for this awesome characters and this amazing wonderful series love it.
Storm Kelly is the oldest son of Mike and Julia Kelly. Mike Kelly is a legendary police officer in the Eastwood police department. His dream is for his son Storm to follow in his footsteps. Storm and his dad have always butted heads, none the less Storm became a police officer with the Eastwood department.
Nina Fitz is an artist who owns a tattoo shop in Eastwood. She has always been attracted to men on motorcycles, but so far it has gotten her nothing but trouble. Who knows what would have happened to her if her knight in shining armor hadn’t been in the right place at the right time?
I have to say this is my favorite Kelly Family story by far. It touches a bit on the relationship between Mike Kelly, the father and his four children, but not as much as the other books. Storm is my kind of guy. He’s blond, blue-eyed and built, the three B’s I love. Plus he adds one more B to the mix, he’s a biker, oh baby! On top of all that, he is dominant in the bedroom. Holy hell, he’s the whole damn package wrapped up with a sexy bow! The sex in this book is a bit hotter than the others as well, so I’m giving this book 4.5 stars with 3 hands down the pants. MMM MMM MMM I want more Storm!!
Bad boy—motorcycle riding—cop! What could be better—add hot, sexy, dominant and what woman could resist? Not me or Nina.
Storm, the next Kelly's Family book and the oldest brother was different but just as good if not better than book one. The brothers are so different. While Ethan seemed to think Storm is the favorite golden son, the opening scene gives a different insight.
Dropping by a dump bar he hears a woman scream and checks it out. What a way to meet a hot guy. Nina has no choice but to let him help her, but that's it. Or is it? She is a sucker for bikes and hot guys who ride them. Ta da—Storm Kelly. Does she resist. Read on, of course we know she can't resist but can they be more? She's a tattooed, sexy bad girl, at least she looks like it. He may look the part, but he's a cop. You'll love reading their story. I did and now I'm moving on the the next one.
Storm is your quintessential bad boy and he owns it, he is always looking for a good time when he is free. God this man sounds so good and any girls would love to have a piece or more from him. He makes you want to be Nina and his willing slave. Nina is a feisty tattoo artist who is in trouble when she suddenly finds herself in Storm’s web. He takes over and make her feel protected even when she doesn’t think she needs it.
Storm is not sure how but Nina has made it hard for him to walk away and now he doesn’t know if he want’s to. While dealing with the a guy who won’t take no for an answer Storm and Nina explore their attraction. Storm teaches Nina that there is more to sex and Nina teaches him that there’s more to life than what he’s experienced.
You can’t help to fall in love with the two Kelly brothers so make sure you pick up your copy today
Storm Kelly Takes after his dad. Looks just like him. And No matter how much he tries not to be like him. He continues to be pushed that way. Thats what his father would like is him to be just like him. Storm loves his bike so he went for a ride, stopped in a bar. And Ended up rescuing a girl in destress. He meets Nina. she is full of sin and everything that storm likes. They end up getting hot and heavy after Storm brings her home. Storms personality is one of my favorites all alpha male. He will spank you when you need it and tie you up for good behavior. Nina isn't use to that type of many but the more she gets of Storm the more she likes. I did like both books so far but they ended faster then I would of liked. This book offered more suspsense, Knight in shinning armor, a strong sexy alpha male, and some smoking hot sex.
*I received this book in exchange for an honest review.* Very good short story and a nice extension to the first novella, Ethan. Even though this story is about his brother Storm it certainly added to the family drama and history. It certainly is helping add to and develop the story-line and aids in the development of the characters in these last 2 novellas and will help in any of the upcoming novellas. Just like the first novella, this one sucks you in and teases you with just enough that you can't wait to see what the next will bring. If the next 2 novellas are as good as these last 2, then the novellas should definitely be an amazing read. Storm falls hard for Nina in this book, she is hot, wild, loves sex with a splash of kink, just like he does. He has found his perfect match. Now on to Frankie. Let's see what the Kelly women are made of!
It amazes me when a short book is well written, entertaining and that I really enjoyed it. Storyline held my attention making me want more. Storm and Nina have hot chemistry and passion. Storm is like his dad, dominate by nature but with a bad boy attitude. He's a take charge kind of guy. Storm's just the kind of guy Nina needs and want. Can't wait to read more in this series. Would recommend.
Wow! This is book #2 in the Kelly Family series & it is even better than the first!... If you love contemporary romantic suspense (with hot police officers) then this will be right up your alley! ... I'm on to the next book #3 and all I can say is, I only wish these stories were longer instead of shorter novellas, they are that good!... I received this in exchange for an honest review.
I loved the first one in the kelly series - but now after reading Storm, I'd have to say he's my favorite bad boy in uniform with a badge and a gun. Great read.
Storm: book 2 of the Kelly Family series by Lashell Collins. It tells the story of Storm and Nina.
I love Lashell's books. She's a very talented writer. The first book in this series was good and I enjoyed it to the point I wanted more. This one however I just couldn't connect with.
Nina was just stupid. She repeatedly did the dumbest things. Like go on a date with a guy she's not interested in, with the hope that it would make him go away??? Then there's the fact that her back door is broken and doesn't always close and she doesn't bother to get it fixed??? The worst one is her leaving with Bull, knowing that he is stalking her, just because she was embarrassed with how he followed her to the park and bothered her in front of her friends??? Really is the girl brain dead??? Oh and we can't forget her habit of hiding a spare house key in her yard??? Where anyone can see her get it and steal it. I've always wondered in real life if anyone does that?
Ok now there is Storm. There are parts of his character I really liked a lot. However there was also a part of him I really didn't like. I've read plenty of books that has some BDSM in them though I don't generally look for such type of stories. This book has some in it and I have to say I didn't like it at all. I think it's the fact that he's a cop doing it that made it feel so wrong. Especially the spanking. I'm sorry you can color that anyway you like but it's still hitting someone. I don't get BDSM at all. I find those that do it to be weak and pathetic. I mean to get off on hitting someone or to be the one getting hit. I just don't get it.
Over all I did like the story though. It was interesting and I would've liked more to it. It would've been nice to know if Storm made detective or not. Also was his father against him becoming one? Their fight really could have been filled in more. For a short read the story was good and for that I give it 3 1/2 stars.
This is the second novella in the Kelly Series, this time being introduced to Storm Kelly…
“He was dark and brooding, and unexpected like the summer storm, and sexy as sin!”
Need I say more! He’s a bad boy cop, knight in shining armour, bossy, sarcastic, dominant and smoking hot…and my favourite Kelly so far.
Even though this is a novella, for me it packed much more of a punch than the first in the series. Even though I enjoyed Ethan’s story I loved Storms and would have loved it to be a full length novel.
Looking forward to reading the third instalment in the Kelly Series.
This is the second book in the series, and it focuses on Storm, Ethan's brother, who is also a cop. Storm and Nina jump right into bed, and right into sex, which is different from Ethan and Heather's first meeting. For someone who runs her own successful business, Nina is lacking in the common sense department. We only get to see a peek of Storm's sexual preferences. I look forward to the rest of the series, and hope to see both couples in the last book in the series.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I'm falling for this family very quickly. This is the second novella in the series and they keep getting better. Storm is Nina's knight in shining armor and saves her from a sticky situation. Nina learns that Storm has a kinky dark side that she can't stop thinking about. Will Storm be able to keep Nina safe? Will she be able to accept his dark side?
This is a great read that will make you anxious to get to book five faster.
"I received this book in exchange for an honest review"
Storm is the spitting image of the father he despises so much, after all, he enlisted to get away from him. He is a motorcycle riding cop who rescues Nina one night in a bar. She is not his usual type, but is instantly attracted to her despite all of her tattoos. Can they build a lasting relationship?
An overall cute story, featuring another one the Kelly brothers. 'Storm' was a little darker than 'Ethan' romance-wise, with its mild dom/sub content. As in 'Ethan', the H/h were likeable, overall.
