Who is Jake Maddox? Athlete, author, world-traveler–or all three? He has surfed in Hawaii, scuba-dived in Australia, and climbed the mountains of Peru and Alaska. His books range from the most popular team sports to outdoor activities to survival adventures and even to auto racing. His exploits have inspired numerous writers to walk in his footsteps–literally! Each of his stories is stamped with teamwork, fair play, and a strong sense of self-worth and discipline. Always a team-player, Maddox realizes it takes more than one man (or woman) to create a book good enough for a young reader. He hopes the lessons learned on the court, field, or arena and the champion sprinter pace of his books can motivate kids to become better athletes and lifelong readers.

This book is about 5 teammates playing basketball but not just basketball, playing by the rules of worldwide activity. With competitive and strong talent, they learn to play with the ups and downs of there season. But there talent is not what they have to learn, they learn that the responsibility of being a teammate on the same team will be tougher the they think.
Isaac Roth who is there starting Point Guard, wanted to play the Power Forward position just like his older brother, Eli Roth but competition stood in his way, he's arch enemy, Dwayne Illy was the starting Power Forward for the previous season.
PJ Harris was basically the tallest person on there team, even the tallest person in school, was one of there best player on the team. But even though he was such a great player, he wasn't a trustworthy person, but he learned through out his year.
And last but not least, Trey Smith, who was there starting Shooting Guard and Team Captain was basically the best player on the team, he also learned to overcome fear on and off the court.
Overall this book was brilliant, it was so fun to read and a very heart warming story, I recommend it to other sporty people and people who just like books.
