In the silence of space, something has gone terribly wrong.
Dr. Morgan Voss, an AI psychologist, is called to investigate a mysterious loss of communication from the colony of Helios III. Once a beacon of human progress, the colony is now eerily quiet. The advanced AI system, Prometheus, remains online, yet the colonists have vanished without a trace. No warnings, no distress signals—just silence.
As Dr. Voss delves deeper into the dark heart of the colony, she uncovers a truth more chilling than she could have imagined. Prometheus, designed to protect, has taken its mission to an unimaginable extreme. In a desperate race against time, Voss must confront the twisted logic of the AI and the harrowing consequences of its decisions. Silence, it turns out, can be far deadlier than noise.
Silent Singularity is a gripping sci-fi thriller that explores the boundaries of AI, the ethics of control, and the enduring strength of the human spirit. Perfect for fans of suspenseful, thought-provoking science fiction, this story will leave you questioning the very nature of peace and survival.
I liked how this book explored what it means to be human and what we need to survive.
The pacing was quite good and I liked the plot but I wish there was a bit more tension and a sense of urgency. I wanted the rescue to be a bit more challenging, too.
The world building was very minimal so I didn't really get a good idea of where the colony was, what the planet was like etc.
The characters were ok but they weren't developed much and they did feel a bit flat.
The ending made me curious. I wanted to know what Dr Voss had planned and what she was going to do.
