I have a soft spot for psychological thrillers and this boxed set has me looking for more from Theo Baxter. Each of these four novels had me on the edge of my seat and wanting more.
The Stepfather… This was a fantastic read, right from the start I was loving Damon and Connie. I loved Connie’s character and how she had to grow up quickly, was a pity she had to see what she saw to do that, but she showed she was a fighter. Fantastic story, recommend for all thriller lovers.
It’s Your turn now…. Amazing, this was a fantastic read, great story. Loved reading about Daisy’s adventures. She turned her life from being abused to having the confidence to destroy what needed to be. This novel had everything form murder, love and even a happily ever after, which Daisy deserved.
The Scorned Wife…. This was a great novel. Loved the concept and the execution of this novel. What her little sister did to her was unbelievable, but also having parents like Amelia’s, man, what a family. And the ending was amazing. This was an amazing read.
The Widow’s Secret…. This was another great novel. Loved the story here, the twists and turns in this novel drew you in and held you to the end. The adventure and mayhem was fantastic. The main character, Leona was great, loved how she kept doing stupid things due to feelings she was made to have. Another great read, recommend to all lovers of thrillers.

This is a great four book collection of thrilling stories with strong well developed characters and intriguing storylines that will give you hours of reading pleasure. The author does a fantastic job pulling you into the stories and kept me reading with all the twists and turns, suspense and murders. He moves the stories fluidly with his detailed and descriptive scenes and delivers terrific reads. Love and recommend this collection.

T. Baxter is the author of psychological thrillers with a twist. This box set, published by Incubator Books contains 4 of the best and heartpounding novels.
The Stepfather: After a divorce, Madelyne finds love with George, a successful restaurant owner. Their marriage seems perfect except for one thing: her daughter Connie has taken a dislike to her new husband.
Connie knows something is wrong with her stepfather. His behaviour towards her mother is manipulative and she suspects there's more. The only person she can turn to is her real father, Damon.
Damon is ex-military and deals with some issues of his own, and he has every reason to dislike his ex-wife, but he still wants to help.

This box set is fantastic! I have always loved books by Theo Baxter and this set just reinforced my love of his work. He has a way of writing that just draws you into the book and you feel as though you are right there with the characters.
The book that I read first is "The Widow's Secret" and even though I am not much of an outdoors person I went hiking with Leona and Wayne. But I am getting ahead of myself so let me back it up a bit and start at the beginning.
Wayne and Leona have been married for almost 5 years and she is trying to figure out what to do for their anniversary. Wayne has been tired and working a lot lately so something where he can just kick back and relax and where they can get reacquainted with each other would be great. Leona is a self employed graphic artist, she works from home and she is getting her projects done early so she has a lot of time to think lately. Wayne is a lawyer so he has crazy hours at times. His work wife, Sarah runs his life and schedules everything he does. From work trips to going out to lunch so she can make sure he eats. Maybe I should talk with her and make sure he gets some time off for our anniversary.
Wayne comes home that very night with a big surprise. He has made big arrangements for out anniversary. It is a long weekend and he is taking another day off so we will have 4 days to spend hiking in the Virginia part of the Appalachian Trail. I love hiking but have never hiked in that area so I can not wait. He has booked us over night into a cute little B&B and we enjoyed ourselves so much we stayed for another day and night. We proceed to the hiking and camping areas and have a lots of fun hiking all day and spending the night in Wayne's arms in our double sleeping bag. The hiking trails here are great so we will have to come back again. We eat breakfast on our last day and are anxious to get on the trails. We hike for a while and then Wayne suggests I take some pictures while he sits on a log resting. I turn around and take pictures of the fantastic scenery, it is so beautiful here. I hear Wayne get back up and he moves a little way down the trail, I finish up taking my pictures. And then all of a sudden I hear Wayne scream. Oh no what happened? Did he twist his ankle? I rush on down the trail but can not find Wayne anywhere. I look for another hour or two and then I give up and go for help. The ranger and rescue party can not find any sign of him anywhere either and they have to give up for tonight. They will go back out in the morning. I will continue to pray that they find him soon and that he is okay. Please Lord be with Wayne and keep him safe. Bring him home to me.

What a great set of stories!
1) The Stepfather
What a lovely family!
Damon is a military man, who has a wife and daughter. Then his wife leaves him and remarries within 3 months to George, a chef who owns his restaurant, and his daughter Connie lives with them and gets the weekends with Damon.
There is something off with George, Connie does not like him, even though he is nice enough to her. Her Mom Madelyn does not understand what her problem is, she just needs to fall in line and be nice to George.
Then one night, everything changes, when Connie leaves the house and then witnesses something that she should not have.
Now, Damon and Madelyn will do whatever they have to, to keep Connie safe!
2) It's Your Turn Now
Real life for many people, not just a story!
This is a story that many, like me, will have an issue reading. Not because it is not written well, or the ending is not what they want... but because it hits very close to home!
Being in a marriage that becomes abusive, can come in many ways.
3) The Scorned Wife
Exciting and Scary too!
Man leaves woman after 10 years for a younger more sexual woman... not a new story, right? Finding out at your birthday party at your party who that person is, well, that can be quite something else!
This story was not old or routine; it has some content that lets you know it is this writer's own work! I loved 'rolling with the punches' as the saying goes, with where this story ended up going to.

What a never ending ride!
What a wife, that loves her husband so very much! I found myself so immersed within this story, and how many different twists and turns it took, I was amazed! They were very followable twists, so it would not make one lose track of what was going on at that moment, but, WOW!
The ending was very just!

In theo Baxters thriller box set you get four thriller stories that keep you on the edge of your seat. From The StepFather, after years of marriage, a woman divorces, her husband only to remarry to the wrong man. In It’s Your Tur Now, A woman is married to an abusive man until a stranger offers to do her the favor of a lifetime. In The Scorned Wife, A woman is devastated when her husband leaves her for her little sister, but when she sets out to get revenge, the joke is on her and last, but not least in The Widows Secret, A woman is devastated when her husband falls off a cliff, but it’s nothing compared to what her in-laws and friends put her through in the end. I loved all of these stories except one, but I won’t name it because others have liked it and don’t want to tarnish the book and or anyone’s reading enjoyment. Just know even if you don’t like one of them, there are three others that will have you on the edge of your seat, you’ll wish you could read faster and turn the pages more frequently. If I am not mistaken, these are his first four books and although his writing has gotten much better, these were still a ton of fun to read and definitely books I recommend.

How would I describe this box set hours of mind twisting suspense and bone chilling murders. I had read two of these books previously, but enjoyed the reread plus the other two also I'd most definitely recommend these books. ( It's Your Turn Now) This book will blow one's mind there was parts in this story that had me feeling like climbing the walls with nervousness. Be warned this author will be throwing curve balls left and right that will side track you from what's real up to the end and I liked the fact I couldn't guess what was coming next. (The Scorned Wife) You know that sensation you get while watching a scary movie and you know something bad is about to happen so you cover your face and yet you peak through your fingers well reading this story gave me that exact feeling and man oh man was it fantastic.

I enjoyed all 4 books.
One thing I've noticed with Theo Baxter is the books I've read of his are all fast paced (which I love) very twisty and exciting to read.

This box set was a chilling assortment of psychological thrillers. Each book is a standalone story with plenty of suspenseful scenes and of course some twists. They are a quick read with the stories being fast paced. Theo Baxter sets the scenes with very descriptive settings and dialogues. Sometimes it does get repetitive. Be warned, there are violent scenes and cursing. You will be cheering for the good people in these stories but will you be certain who they are?.

I am not even sure where to begin. The Stepfather was absolutely amazing. I spent nearly the entire time while reading It’s Your Turn Now and The Scorned wife so angry at one of the main characters. Theo has this amazing ability to grab you right from the start and I personally am not able to stop reading unti I have finished the very last word. The Widow’s Secret what’s a whirlwind right from the start. I think it and The Stepfather are my two favorites in this collection.

Each book is throwing and intense and will keep you hooked until the end. Characters bring the story to life and there are so many twists and turns that you will probably read all of them without stopping. Each book is unique in its own way and has interesting characters and questions that need to be answered. Good set of books.

Needs Editing
These stories aren't bad, but they are too long. A thriller is supposed to be fast paced and taut, not drawn out, like the author is trying to meet a word quota. In particular, the last story is not a realistic depiction of police work or the administration of the law. I hope these observations help the author to improve his work. It's difficult to write a book and I admire anyone who does. I'm sure future books will be better.

This was an amazing 4 book collection that has left me wanting to read more psychological thrillers, more specifically written by Theo Baxter. I read this collection as an ARC & by then end of each book I was dying to see where the following one would take me, the only complaint I have is that there wasn’t more stories to read!
The stories included quite well developed characters & storylines that easily have you losing track of time due to being so engrossed.

Wonderful author which never lets me down.
I devoured the box set rather to quickly.
Each book contained everything i expected, great writing with twisty and thrilling storylines.
This set is a must read for anyone who enjoys a good old psychological drama.

I enjoyed every one of these books from the beginning to the end. Each book was well-written, and the characters were well-developed. I was up until the wee hours of the morning wondering what would happen next. When I read a good book, I can't put it down until I find out how it will end.

can´t decide
This author´s books fascinate me on the on hand, but they also give me creepy feelings, wondering and hoping that mankind isn´t as perverted as he depicts in his stories. Sadly the truth lies in between, aren´t we all appalled by what some deranged criminals are willing to do to others, aren´t we fascinated with how law enforcement manages to catch them and protect us?

This was a wonderful box set of books by Theo Baxter. They were well written, suspenseful, and the storyline pulls me right in. You can never go wrong with one of his books. Each one of these was totally worth the read, I definitely approve and will be reading more.

You definitely can't go wrong with Theo Baxter. He is a new favorite author of mine and I will read anything that he writes. This is a four book set that will keep you guessing all the way through. A definite must read for the holiday season.

Strong characters
As I read each of the four stories in this collection, I found myself jumping the gun so to speak knowing in what direction the story was taking. Not so much of a page turner.

Very good psych thrillers. 4 stories to keep your heart pounding. Plenty of twists in these books. Definitely worthy the read. Loved them all!
