Fighting… it’s automatic at this point. Guard up, don’t showboat, lethal strikes, clear my head and get out with minimal damages so my brothers are none the wiser. It’s how I’ve handled my shit for so long at this point I don’t know any other way. That is until the night my older brother appoints me as detail for my new sister-in-law and her best friend, Brittany. One night, that’s it. Or at least, that was the plan. Brittany Mitchell is feisty, she runs head first into my life with guns blazing, catching my attention from the start. We have one night, but one night turns into more. How could it not when those steel eyes knock the wind out of me. But Brittany’s got secrets, and I’ve got five brothers, a sister-in-law, a nephew, and an organization to protect. Can I protect them and still help her get the revenge she so desperately needs and deserves? Or will one have to fall so I can hold the rest up? I know one thing for sure, I’m going to stay no matter what. I swear.
No miscommunication? A man who not only wants the girl to get her revenge but HELPS HER!? Loved it, no notes! Also the last line of the epilogue made me gasp so loud and I am so excited to read the next book!
As if the first two weren’t enough, these two (Kie and Britt) follow suit with a hell of a story of their own.
Getting to know Kieran on a more personal level, made it easy to fall in love with him. Every strong man’s exterior can be broken solid by the right woman (at least in private).
Getting to know Britt made her past narrative click. We now know why she’s been Clara’s safe space for so long, and why she was so good at that job.
Both Kie and Britt are able to pull their masks down around each other, the way true love should be.
That’s one of my favorite parts about this series: the love between MMC and MFC’s is genuine, unique, and meets the needs of their dynamic. It’s not forced, or rushed, or “I need a break” type love. It’s a supportive, meet you where you are, work through it together, type love. Which is a breath of fresh air, when many similar novels have them breaking up, sleeping with others, and then eventually getting back together. (Maybe all of their stories won’t end this way, but I like that they do for now.)
Getting POV’s of Clara, Rowan, and the others is refreshing too, as it gives the story more depth and understanding.
I have also enjoyed that the story seems to overlap, and/or pick up where it left off. It’s easy to keep rhythm and context.
While I thought this one would be more predictable, I was surprised to see how Nora left a carrot trail along the way, which provided for recall of previous aspects, without giving the story away.
The ending had a much better wrap up, this time. Providing context for both the chaos that ended the story, and what is to come.
Looking forward to seeing how this story continues to unfold, as Mac gets his girl — right back where she belongs.
Nora!!!!!! How can you leave us with that cliff hanger!?? What?? This is the second book in the Let it Byrne series and it can be read as a standalone... but I swear to you, you can't read just one of these!!! This is Kieran and Brittany/Phoenix's story. I thought, I'm sure Kieran will be nice but Rowan will probably stay at the top of my list. But man.. these guys, they just keep getting better and better. This one had a lot more darker themes with the whole trafficking thing happening behind the scenes but I think the found family trope within the story is so powerful that the bad things don't seem so horrible. I absolutely love how Kieran and his brothers love so deeply and intensely. That moment when Brittany tells Kieran what happened to her and he went at it with the punching bag had me on my knees in tears. The character development is amazing and I loved watching Brittany realize that she wasn't alone anymore and had a group of men to stand with her. Her bravery and strength was definitely something. And Kieran finding his way among his brothers, finally offloading and telling them the weight of the things he carried and learning how to balance all the things in his head was deep. The ending had my jaw on the floor. I went through all the emotions with this story. I absolute love it. I highly, highly recommend giving this book a read, but not just this book, the series itself. It's absolutely amazing.
We're back in the Let It Byrne world with Stay, Swear. This one is Phoenix and Kierans story and it's something else. One minute I was crying, like tears dropping kinda crying and the next I was laughing. Kieran and Nix doesn't have an easy story, realistically if it was easy it would be sorta boring and it's definitely not boring. There's lots of action, chaos, drama and excitement as well as all the feels. Then there's that ending! What a way to leave a story hanging. I'm really hoping the next book is Macs (that's what I think), that ending will require a lot of explanation. I can't wait!
If you’ve read book one you know Brittany is Clara’s best friend and the one who helped her run from her abusive ex. Brittany comes to live closer to Clara and her new family only to meet a man that will help her slay all of her demons that try to hunt her down and give her the best Os she’s ever had. Kieran is the enforcer for his brother the head of the Irish mob. He’s always the protector outside of the house and the funny brother at home. But life shows him it’s good to tell people how you feel, because someone can’t be fix a problem if they don’t know it exists. Now I need book 3 to come out. Check your triggers
Love how close and connected the bros are- means that even tho you get those MCs story you still get to see the others a lot.
This story is sooooooo good, all the interconnections!!!
I have more thoughts, but don't want to post spoilers.
Just know this is a must read series!!! I couldn't possibly love it more than I already do. I already reached out to the author asking how long I have to wait for next in the series lol
💜 Found Family 🖤 Trauma Healing 💜 🖤 OMG Kieran Byrne had me weak in the knees. I thought Rowan was drool worthy, but his brother/enforcer/protector is so much better. The inner battles both Kie and Britt go through are really tough. There is more to them than anyone can see. Brittany grounds Kieran and he makes her feel safe like never before. The Bryne brothers are all just amazing.
A perfect second in the Let it Byrne series! I couldn’t put it down and enjoyed every page. The story of Kieran and his love was more real to me than Rowan’s was (though that was so, so good, too) and the danger goes up in book two. Book one’s ending to gear up for Stay, Swear had me excited for the story but also okay with how all the Byrne men were doing. Book two’s ending on the other hand … OMG I need book three STAT!
This boooook! I laughed, cried, swooned, and cried some more! The writing is perfection, the story is beautiful, heartbreaking, and wonderfully heart-mending all at the same time! I absolutely adore the MMC, he's such an amazing man. The FMC is so fun, she's spunky, resilient, tough, and everything you'd imagine an FMC should be. I cannot wait to see what comes next for the Byrne men!
I really enjoyed the plot of this book, and the author wrote some very dynamic characters! All of the relationships in this book were well-established and believable. Unfortunately, I was very distracted by the poor editing job. There were many grammatical errors, such as comma splices, misused apostrophes, and improper capitalizations. I look forward to reading about the rest of the Byrne brothers, but I would suggest the author consider finding a new editor.
Ahhh, Nora you kill me!!! I read book one and was instantly in love with your writing. Now i am ARC reading book 2 and i want to hug you, lol! This book was great! The angst, the banter, the kicka$$ FMC *swoon*. The chemistry between the MC’s the love they have for Little Bear makes my heart snd ovaries work overdrive. Haha! Can’t wait for more!
I’m so excited for this book to be out! The first one was so sweet and broke my heart at the same time and this one did the same exact thing. Kieran and Brittany are so great together and their relationship through the book is wonderful. This series is going to be so amazing once it’s finished and has all the brother’s stories out and I’m so excited to be along for the ride.
Arc review Firstly I would love to thank Nora Thomas for giving me the opportunity to read book two stay swear like this book is a must read but that cliffhanger had me flabbergasted like how could you I absolutely loved this book so much and I can’t wait for the next one.
This was my all time FAVORITE out of the series. It keeps you wanting more of Brittany (phoenix). They were my favorite couple. I loved how well she carried her self in this book and how much she helped him.
What to expect: ✨mafia enforcer ✨badass FMC ✨found family ✨touch her and ☠️ ✨open door toe curling spice ✨underground fighting
This gave me all the feels…. I cried, I laughed, cried some more. Everything was ramped up in this second book. You get so much more spice so much more found family and character development from the first book! Which I absolutely feel is necessary to read in publication order to get the whole picture of the family dynamic between the 6 (yes 6) brothers.
Speaking of these brothers… these Byrne men have me literally sweating. I was having to walk off scenes in this book 🤣
The way Nora ended this and set it up for book 3 which will be Mac’s story has me so excited to continue on with the series. As always thank you for allowing me the privilege to advance read for you!!
This book was really good I really joyed the writing style the story flowed well medium burn 4.5 🌟 4 🌶
This is a must read series it will send you on an emotional rollercoaster but I was there for it and didn't want it to end nora all I can say is amazing
Kieran and Brittany/Phoenix... their story had my emotions all over the place. I love this series and can't wait to read all the other brothers' stories. The ending of this book will blow your mind.
This was such a great book! I loved it just as much as book 1 and am so excited for book 3!!! All of the Byrne brothers are so mysterious and I can’t wait to delve into each of their stories. I did find the ending to this one very predictable and was not shocked at all, but it doesn’t make me any less anxious to get book 3! I loved Kieran and his protectiveness over his whole family just made me love him more!! I also hope there’s a book on Ryan after all the brothers!!! And maybe even James. I think those would all be interesting storylines to pursue further. Definitely worth the read! I received an advanced reader copy of this book and am leaving this review voluntarily.
