This was a good, fun little mystery. I never would have guessed the culprit. I like the characters and enjoy the Paris setting.

This is a light cozy mystery with a very French flavor. I enjoyed the bakery setting a food details as they gave the story charm and a nice sense of place. The mystery itself is straightforward and not complicated, which makes it an easy read but also not the most gripping.

The characters are pleasant, but they didn't stand out as much as I hoped, and the pacing felt a little uneven at times. Still, it has that cozy comfort you expect from this type of series - quick, fun read when you're in the mood for something light, even if it's not especially memorable.

This one could have been written a bit better, there were a couple of typos, but I lived. On the bright side, there were more descriptions of Paris itself, and they made me want to go there again. The city is really beautiful; pity I never got the time to truly enjoy it.

The mystery was a good one, with a nasty twist in the end. Poor, poor Rose.

This was really pretty good, especially since English is not the first language of at least the characters, and the story has a real flavor of being French. A good mystery, with a few surprising twists in it. A fun read that shines through, even with the language changes...

Clémence Damour is just a magnet for murders. After spending a weekend away with a friend. They return back home, to find her friends boyfriend murdered. Along the way of trying to find out who killed her friends boyfriend, clémence develops a love interest.
The murder is a shocking blow really I would be pissed well I was pissed when I read who it was. I know rose is a fictional character but I feel really bad for her. 🥺

This book was over all good. The only thing I didn’t like is the killer didn’t seem to fit. Who the killer was came out of nowhere. There were no signs or clues even pointing to that person and I did not think that person fit as the killer. It was like she threw a dart at the dart board to figure out who the murderer was and didn’t connect the murderer to the murder. Other than that, I liked the book.

Light diversion

Clémence is edging into insufferable territory (of course a baker is better than a detective as a crime-solver, but I'll still try to squeeze info from him! And let's not forget that d!ck move with the text...) Arthur is actually improving with better acquaintance; perhaps he's just socially awkward. The mystery is okay, but the perpetrator...and the excuses! I will be reading the next in the series.
