Obsessive. Manic. Possessive. That’s the Omega I am — no matter how hard I tried to hide it.
I once dreamed of Alphas who might love me with all my scars, and now that dream is in reach. These Alphas might need a little stitching together, but they’re dark, dangerous, and just as twisted as I am.
Rogue: my mate—the monster I freed from chains. Bunny: the muzzled psychopath I leashed. Knox: the vigilante with a dark past who’d burn down the world to protect me.
They’ve ripped down my walls, making me theirs in ways I can’t escape.
A happily ever after, Bunny—and it might truly be ours…
But Bella Morgan, a jealous demon from Knox’s past, will stop at nothing to take him from me. Her Alphas tortured me in front of my pack and forced Knox to bond with her to save me.
The threat of losing my Alphas drags up the same feral instincts that once cost me everything. Bella won’t stop until she’s stolen what’s mine, but she may have unleashed the darkest parts of me instead.
This is the second and final part of a dark MFMM omegaverse romance duet. Please check trigger warnings.

If I wasn’t already madly in love with Thistle Maverick after the first half of the Psycho Alphas duet, I certainly would be now, because she’s simply the bratty batty baddy I needed in my life right now. (Say that three times fast.) She’s a sassy, joyful, tender cake with brutal, vengeful filling and spicy, spiteful frosting. All I want is for her to have a lifetime supply of Pop Tarts, an endless amount of art supplies, and to always be happy…whatever happiness looks like to her.
What’s changed between the first book and this book, though, is that now I just simply want that for the whole pack. In the first book I’d had quite enough of Knox’s nonsense and was kind-of hoping Thistle might yeet him into the void. Somehow, Marie redeemed him wholly for me. Not only did she redeem Knox, but she fully dragged me over–kicking and screaming–to the side of all three alphas. Their reluctant platonic bonds were both endearing and humorous to read. Their individual relationships and dynamics with Thistle added dimension to the story I feel can sometimes get lost in the “lighter” omegaverse novels, where it sometimes feels like the alphas could be interchangeable.
After waiting what felt like forever for this book I’m so glad Marie took the time she did to write it at her speed to make sure Thistle’s pack got the happy ending they deserved and that suited them completely. 4⭐️
I was provided a copy of this title by the author. All thoughts, opinions, views, and ideas expressed herein are mine and mine alone. Thank you.
I cannot rate it. It confused the crap out of me. But also, I was MESMERIZED and needed to keep with it the whole way.
All of them are a little bit psychopathic. Lots of murder and gore in this series and some questionable personal relations and iffy sanity.
I don't remember the first book enough but I appreciated the scene with Rogue where he just held her because "sex isn't a need and even if they never had sex, he was hers for the rest of his life". Ugh, that was awesome.
I don't understand the varied pasts of these people. Were they villains or were they heroes? Sounds like both... And there was some villainy in the past...
I don't know, but "good" prevails at the end and these four psychos are happy together in their twisted way at the end.
100 stars ⭐️ Thank you to Marie Mackay for only giving me an ARC but also letting me be a part of her alpha reading team! . Words fail me to express how much I loved this book and how obsessed I am. This was such a fantastic conclusion to Thistle's journey. It was full of the unhinged deranged things we know, love, and expect from these messed up characters, but it also had humor, and the emotions that come along with the way they are forced to navigate and face the things they desperately want to deny and ignore. Especially the way Thistle took power and control back to become the Queen of her pack. . It stands out that in this book we have a much deeper and better feel on how each Alpha's dynamic is with Thistle, the way they give Thistle specific things she needs, and how she in turn is able to balance them. But amonst each other we can see how the 3 Alphas navigate becoming a pack which involves not only learning to trust but also to accept what their claims and connection with each other mean. . Ace Maverick remains my Roman Empire. His entire arc was fantastic. Seeing the way he starts to admit to himself that he not only needs Thistle, but that she was born for him. The way he finally gives in, embraces their connection, and more importantly, realizes (in his own way) that loving her was inevitable. It was great watching how he starts to indulge her small whims and becomes protective of her. Not to mention seeing him accept a new pack, work with them, and realize that Knox and Rogue were meant to be his packmates. I will forever love him. . This was such a satisfying conclusion and I loved how it all wrapped up in full circle!

I’m completely lost and confused with book two. It’s a rambling mess and I can’t seem to keep up with what’s going on. I gave book one 5 stars so it’s quite disappointing to not understand book 2 at all.
Book 2: I Give This Book a 3 Star Rating. HEA(?): Yes Relationship Type: RH>Reverse Harem: MFMM Romance: 4/5 Heat: Can’t deny, I was hoping for explosive heat but definitely wasn’t expecting the closed doors or FTB (Fade to Black) scenes which felt like a big miss. And you don’t see what happens after like cuddles or scars, which are scenes you clearly want to see because it’s Thistle we’re talking about, but it also felt necessary to see Ace with her after as well, but near the end were some good scenes. 3/5, because it was shallow depth in the scenes.
Dark(?): The Darkness Scale definitely dropped more than I was expecting, but I was also confused in some areas but 2.5/5 Pacing: Slow-Mid? Drama: I really was anticipating high drama, but in its own way everything had an explanation and some areas resolved or explained away much faster, which did kinda take some wind out of the sails. But lots of background drama rather than foreground drama. 3.5/5 Suspense: 3?/5
Going into Heat(?): Does Occur Nesting(?): Yes, in its own way and in this book was a lot more confusing than I was expecting as well. Knotting(?): Does Occur Purring: Kinda? But no? Biting: Yes Mate Marking(?): Does Occur Marking I suppose? By Bite(?) Does Occur. Scent Marking(?): Does Occur Slick(?): Does Occur. Obsessive Behavioral Signs: Not Really? Group Heat Scenes(?, if RH): Near the Very Very End as a whole. Alpha Dominance and/or Aggression(?): Does Occur, but not necessarily a on page focus? I don’t understand why there weren’t focused on. Omega Submissive Behavior(?): Does Occur, kinda?
I can’t deny I was a bit confused if it wasn’t apparent while reading this one, some areas were harder to understand, and/or developed a bit too quickly to fully make sense. There are OVER a dozen scenes I wish I had actually ‘seen’ over being written as past-tense. I just don’t understand how lots of scenes are off page or suddenly switched to another POV to ‘avoid’ it. The book could’ve been so much more, but I am left with a lot more questions because of how easily things got resolved, this book has so much detail but not in the areas that needed concentrated focus to make everything make sense.
The books feels very rushed, and due to that it’s very confusing because so much was squeezed within that there is no breathing space whatsoever I had to take time from the book to create my own breathing space. This could’ve been a trilogy just to add breathing space, but if it had been I probably wouldn’t have read the third book. This needed a beta team, that team would’ve or should’ve pointed out many areas that needed clarification/focus/ and bring background actions into focus. This book reads like it was meant to hit a deadline.
...
I think if it went through about three editors, it would be a 5⭐️ book. But honestly, there are things that don't make sense and some poorly written scenes.
I loved Thistle, she gave me so many Jinx vibes with her purple eyes and hair buns, plus she was so unhinged. I found her so sweet, and all she suffered... poor thing. Also realize that Bunny is us... Love it.
Knox and Rogue, hooots, they're everything that's right. But Ace... I think the book would be better if Thistle had killed him🥰
Goblin claws out, because Psycho Alphas: Part Two by Marie Mackay absolutely shredded me, in the best, most deliciously unhinged way. I devoured this book. Every filthy moment, every dark twist, every alpha dripping regret……I swallowed it whole and left nothing behind.
Thistle? My precious ball of broken things 😭 She’s a storm disguised in softness, with scars that whisper and a heart that fights, even when every damn thing screams to give up. Watching her cling to her sanity and her alphas, trying to protect what she’s built, what she dared to hope for……I teared up, I raged, I wanted to scream bloody injustice at every turn. She’s messy, she’s flawed, she’s absolutely lovable.
And the alphas: Rogue, Bunny, Knox, holy hell. Each one a dark mirror in their own way. There’s Rogue, dangerous and damaged, forged from chains and betrayal. Bunny, the muzzled psychopath, surprising in his vulnerability when no one expected it. Knox, a vigilante with a past that drips guilt and obsession, so fiercely protective he might burn down his entire world just to keep Thistle safe. Their chemistry, their desperation, the way they circle her, sometimes suffocate her, always love her! It’s raw. It’s brutal. And when ghosts show up from Knox’s past, dragging up all the venom, oh gods, that throwdown of past sins vs present stitches……it nearly broke me.
The plot is dark. Twisted. Obsessive. Possessive. But also full of moments of trembling hope. The enemies to lovers edges, the scent matches, the betrayals, the reclaiming of power, it’s all balanced on a knife’s edge and yet somehow feels like a home forged from fire. The HEA feels earned, seared with blood and tears and redemption. Five stars, no question. This duet is now one of the best omegaverse stories I’ve ever read. If you want love that claws, grovels, protects, and doesn’t know how to be anything less than addictively dark, Psycho Alphas is your chaos cocktail.
Omg I simply devoured this book in one sitting! This was such a fantastic story! It was dark and angsty and had me screaming in delight at times. The world building & character development were fleshed out so well. I'm really hoping we see more of these side characters in her future works.
Thistle is my girl. She's feral, but her alphas love her just the way she is & I really love how that was encouraged in this book. Bunny (both of them) were my favorite. Knox's character growth was *chef's kiss* and Rogue... *sigh* don't get me started on that man. He's perfect 👌🏻
So many moments had me cackling in delight because they were just hysterical/perfect while some scenes had me screaming or feeling sick to my stomach - the rollercoaster was wild but I loved every moment of it. And the spice? Had me feeling feral myself 🥵
Marie Mackay continues to be one of my favorite authors. Her omegaverses are dark, gritty, and so full of emotion. Infinity 🌟 stars
OMG!! I HAVE WAITED SO LONG FOR THIS AND IT WAS WORTH EVERYTHING! This book was hysterically unhinged in the best way!! Thisle was the best in every way. I loved the Alphas and its so hard to say which was my favorite! I want to read this story for the first time over and over again!!
Some of my favorite lines!!
“I think you should know,” Thistle said as she sank back down onto Ace’s lap and finally plucked Bunny from his seat, “your Alpha wet himself… that’s, uh, pretty embarrassing. Just sayin’.”
“I’d un-stuffie you on command.” “Un-stuffie the stuffies, so they can… stuffie you?”
I love everything about this duet. Thistle is so adorably unhinged you can't help but love her. I was a little disappointed with Ace, but he came around in the end. I liked the dynamic between Knox and Rogue.
Idk. Was not a fan. The third MMC was not redeemable in my opinion. I actually quite hated him, since Queen of Diamonds. Knox and Rogue can stay, and Thistle was the best kind of bat shit crazy… but that man… euuughhh.
Really fun continuation of the story. A bit slow at times but picks up towards the middle. I absolutely adore Thistle and Bambi. I hope we get a book about amiss Bambi!
This was really difficult to finish, I contemplated dnf’ing a lot and I’m not exactly sure why I didn’t. There were so many moments where I had to take a break because the second hand embarrassment was too much.
Thistle’s insanity amped up a lot in this one and it was a bit much, thankfully though her weird manner of speech she’d developed went away.
I’m well aware of the complexities between Rogue and Knox and their past, but they absolutely had chemistry and to be honest — I’m disappointed nothing developed between them. I actually liked all of Thistle’s Alphas, but I liked Knox the most and was also disappointed in it taking so long for him to join the pack.

I love Marie Mackay. She is such an incredible author and her books absolutely destroy me every time.
I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this book and let me tell you… IT WAS AMAZING. I have been so excited to read the second book and it did not disappoint. Thistle is still unhinged and hilarious. There was definitely some redemption for all of the pack. Thistle finally got her perfect pack.
10/10 recommend

⭐️DNF 38% Ace is un-redeemable after his “rough sex” which read like rape from his POV. If he and Thistle had any established safety norms I could count it as CNC, but they don’t. Just because she was happy in her looney tunes way after doesn’t make it ok. I really liked the first book so this is really disappointing.
Obsessed with thistle !!! Such a crazy, fun, badass FMC. Loved learning about her and her alphas. And then the ending with her girls. Precious. Everyone’s insane here and we love it
DNF @ 45%. I loved Book One, so I’m pretty disappointed that Book Two didn’t give me that same feeling.
I couldn’t connect AT ALL with Ace as part of the harem, though I don’t know if it really felt like a harem or romance anyway, but he was especially horrible and I hated the scene when he had sex with Thistle. So I knew I wouldn’t want to see any kind of HEA with him at the end.
I honestly also got bored. The harem wasn’t harem-ing, the plot seemed to stall, and I didn’t really feel the same chaos that had me so hooked on Book One. I just didn’t care anymore. *shrug*

Wow okay I am so absolutely in love with this duet. In the beginning i was so confused about the dynamics, i disliked ace and was unsure about (k)nox but yeah that changed. The character development was so incredibly well written like you felt the changes while reading. But not only that, the whole story makes just so much sense, everything that happened feels like it needed to happen. i was very emotional while reading which shows how deeply this books touched me (no fr like i cried, laughed and broke the 4th wall by looking up and processing what i just read…). sad it’s finished, but excited for more ♥️
This book somehow managed to be even better than the first book LIKE WHAT THE FUCK THIS IS AMAZING. The first book got me invested, but this owned me. The romance was everything I wanted and somehow more. Watching these terrifying, violent, completely unhinged men love Thistle with such devotion melted meeeeeeeeee.
Knox remains on the list of my favorite MMCs ever because there is something so hot about him. This man is genuinely dangerous, ruthless, and capable of horrifying things, yet when it comes to Thistle, he turns into the sweetest person imaginable. The fact that he fixes her bunny for her? The fact that he cares enough to treat it like it matters because it matters to her? The fact that he gets protective over it when other people dismiss it? I don't know why that gets me so much, but it does.
A murderous vigilante who would burn the world down to protect his omega but also takes care of her comfort object? That's the exact kind of character that makes me blush and kick my feet and do anything he wants. And even after everything with Bella, his love for Thistle never feels weaker. If anything, seeing how much he suffers because of it made me love him even more.
And then there's Rogue. Sweet, patient, caring Rogue. I loved how reassuring he was with Thistle throughout everything. While the rest of the world feels chaotic, Rogue often feels like a safe place for her to land. The way he comforts her, supports her, and helps her heal made me love him so much. The pack dynamic in this duet is so good because every single relationship feels different.
Every man loves Thistle differently, and that makes every interaction feel special.
But ACE. FUCKING. MAVERICK. I don't even know where to begin.
This man's aura could probably silence an entire room. The power. The confidence. The presence. The way he is so deeply connected to Thistle? I would do anything for him.
The funniest thing about Ace is that at first he kept acting like he doesn't care. Please be serious. Nobody is ripping people's jaws off and losing their mind with jealousy over someone they "don't care about." The denial was actually hilarious because many scenes screamed the exact opposite. The possessiveness. The jealousy. The protectiveness. The way he watches her. The way he reacts whenever another man gets too close to her. It was so obvious long before he admitted it.
And the fact that he hates touch but continuously finds excuses to touch her? I LOVE THAT SO MUCH.
And underneath the romance, darkness, violence, revenge, and chaos, it's also a story about damaged people finding somewhere they belong. Thistle spends so much of the series feeling unwanted, broken, and unworthy of love, only to end up surrounded by people who would genuinely destroy the world for her.
The caretaking. The cuddling. The reassurance. The moments where they simply hold her. The way these dangerous men fuss over her and her bunny. The way they notice when she's hurting. The way they make her feel safe. I didn't know how much I needed that until I read it.
And seeing Ace grovel? Seeing Knox hurt? Seeing Rogue comfort? Seeing them openly love Thistle? It was everything I wanted from this duet. The character development was incredible. The revenge was satisfying. The plot twists kept shocking me. The funny moments balanced the darker perfectly. Even the emotional scenes hit harder because I had become so attached to thistle and knox and ace and rogue.
I love everything, the romance, their healing, their happiness. Their future. Their found family. Their weird little pack full of psychos who somehow became each other's home. This duet genuinely changed the way I look at reverse harem stories because it gave me everything i want, and a pack that loves their girl so fiercely that you can feel it. And somehow, after what they’ve been through, they got a happily ever after that felt earned. I love this so much❤️
The writing was descent and it wasn’t a bad storyline. It was mostly my bad for not reading triggers although I do think that something in triggers should say that there was abuse from one of her partners. Ace really messed her up emotionally and by letting others tend her heat while not participating and while he didn’t necessarily do anything to her, he made her think less of herself and that he was better than her and it messed with her psyche and I had trouble digesting him being still alive at the end of book 1. Not to mention I just don’t like the use of “daddy” in or out of bedroom for a lover, it’s disturbing to me especially when she’s got daddy issues and just ugh I’ve never been a fan, it’s a straight up ick! However as the writing goes and the story, beyond the fact that it was literally all unhinged, which was stated, its writing was fine and so it gets a 3 for that alone, because while it’s not my cup of tea, that’s also my fault to a degree for not reading trigger warnings and for not taking to heart that it says both that they’re psycho and that it’s an unhinged reverse harem story. I did like some of the humor and banter that happened and there were things here and there that kept me on the hook rather than dnf’ing which I normally would do 1/3 of the way in and this second book was a bit better than the first til like the second half. She was just so emotionally wrecked and they were too stubborn that the first book was just too much for me, but this second one kept me going a little better. I don’t think I’ll be reading more from this author and really I only read it because of having read both Queen of Diamonds and another one in series and having an obsession with finishing series, even if they’re standalones or some suck where others don’t! The only way I’ll rate higher than 3 is if I plan to read more from either the author or reread the book itself often in the future. This was alright but it didn’t make me want to reread or read more from this author. It’s a little too dark for my tastes. But that’s just my likes and dislikes and nothing bad on the author for writing this content. I hope others enjoy if this is up their alley, if you’re here to read because you read other books from the Queen series, I suggest reading triggers and burn first, because this is pretty dang different and darker on a whole other level which the last one prior to this duet was pretty dark also and set this one’s characters up, so that’s saying something. Not just the alphas are psycho and unhinged. Let’s put it that way!
So wow.... Sorry for taking so long to write this review.... My dumb brain thought "Hey I love almost everything Marie Mackay has ever made poisonverse, let's sign up for this ARC (I got the ARC so thank you a ton) but didn't realize it was a two parts.... So yeah two book reviews for the price of one here I go"
So... Spoilers... Duh...
I just have to say I loved it as a whole... With that said here's my hard truth (aka my opinion).
I was soooo...oooo... confused with bunny (aka 2nd bunny aka Ace) yeah that took me a book and half to finally understand and I still might not know who's who if you gave me a random paragraph...
I also thought this book could have been one book maybe just slightly longer like 450-550 pages instead of two full books. But hey they are great I read / finished both so 👍🏽👍🏽.
I also NEED to say the trigger warnings are as stated but depending on what you read (you know who you are) they might not be as bad so to a non-trigger-reader. -no idea if that sentence makes sense to anyone but me- but with that said I am not a knife play person what so ever.... But for some reason thistle makes unhinged knife love sound less unhinged (aka do not do this at home and books are not real life).
I love thistle. This needs to be said. She takes Marie's other characters and their quirks and shoves them into this tiny terror.... It works and it's great.
I don't know why but these books (aka part 1 & 2) seem a little more unhinged than the rest of the poisonverse.... But hey still read both soooo... 👍🏽👍🏽.
The moral of this random book review that you so happened to stumble upon is as follows:
If you like: -Omegaverse -Unhinged love storytelling -Hurt/comfort to the max -Needs to grovel but does it their own way -Trigger warnings overload -HEA the hard way -a ton of other positives
-and have actually read the warning and know what you're getting into
Then psycho alphas (part 1 & 2) (along with the majority of books by Marie Mackay) are for you. I recommend reading these are the other books in the posionverse.
*Yes I got an ARC and was asked to write a review but all thoughts are my own (possibly to the dismay of the author) but I really do love these books but also want people to go into them some what informed. And not be surprised or hurt because they had no idea... Do I do this successfully... I have no idea what so ever but who knows.... Ok bye... ✌🏽

Where does one begin with Psycho Alphas: Part Two? If you are someone looking for a good Omegaverse that has a story behind it, mystery, and secrets around every corner, you have come to the right place? Part Two, as in the name, comes after Part One, building up on the story that had already revealed so many mysteries from the beginning. It is a book filled with chapters that will leave you continuing to read to find out what happened.
For a moment let us talk about theming. This is a Dark MFMM Book. It is one that does have darker themes. This does not just include the bedroom though, but also what happens in the present, and the very past of the people you came to know and love from Part One. The book explores an array of more sensitive topics but handles them in a fashion that paints the story of how these characters developed. It is a book that handles Dark in a way that it is nice to read and not trying to force it out there. It comes together and flows wonderfully.
Now, let's focus on the characters a moment. Psycho Alphas is filled with a cast of characters who might not be your everyday group of people. It is a group of people that are different with a common person. The saying opposites attract; people are drawn together? Everything comes into play within the pages of this book. The characters work well together building up the story deeper and deeper. They are a chaotic bunch in all of the good ways. Now, the main group is accompanies by an array of side characters that help develop and paint the story, having their own uniqueness and life to bring a spark of something great.
With all of this together, and so much more I would not want to give away in fear of ruining a good book you need to read for yourself, it is an amazing book to read. It is something that is hard to put down and leads you into wondering more. If you are someone who just picked up Psycho Alphas Part 1 and then moved to Part 2, it is something that makes you want to dive into what started the Unhinged series, Queen of Diamonds. If it is your first time with an Omegaverse, the book will lead you wanting to know more and more and take a chance to dive into the world.
Psycho Alphas: Part Two is an amazing book and should be read. I hope everyone can enjoy it as much as I have.
unfortunately, i can’t finish this book and am gonna have to dnf. i LOVE knox and rouge and would love to see how them and my cutie pie thistle work out their pack and bond but i just rlly hate ace. i know that he probably has a reason blah blah blah but i literally cant stand him. if you hate her so much kill yourself or smth idk? like damn if you hate her so damn much that you’re willing to do all these fucked up things cuz u hate omegas and fate and shit, surely you’d rather die or be feral idk. i get from his character that bro is just so self absorbed and arrogant that he wouldn’t even consider that but i truly wished bunny was a diff MMC and it wasn’t ace, like he’s just horrible. after all the things thisle went thru she was already really hurt and damaged -physically, mentally and emotionally- but i feel like her true tipping point that fucked her up so bad was having her mate, SOUL mate mind you, withhold affection, attention, love, care, HUMAN INTERACTION, friends, freedom and bro even the ability to listen to her instincts and be herself. he manipulated her in such a sick way that she literally is convinced now that her abuse that she endured all her life taints her and makes her unworthy. he withholds basic human interaction and conversation and then only is intimate and lets her see him when he’s watching her “put on a show” for him by killing her abusers, which might give her some relief but innately is the root of most of her, if not all, aggression and bloodlust. i’m rlly sad because i love thisle so much and i love knox and rouge and how they interact with her and how they’re slowly showing her that she can and deserves to be loved just for this fuck face to still get the change to be with her. i hate him and i don’t rlly care abt what his past is that has caused his treatment of thisle because nothing could justify it lol. i even read the summary for this book before i finished the last one just so i could make sure ace wasn’t coming back and thought bunny was going to be another character that was going to be brought in. btw i don’t mind a good grovel but there are certain things that there’s not enough groveling for lol, if he even grovels, which i highly doubt he will

Here we go again. Back in the chaos with Thistle and her pack of problems.😵💫 Psycho Alphas: Part One ended on that brutal cliffhanger, so when I heard Part Two was headed our way, I was ready for answers—and Marie Mackay delivered. Finally, some clarity. A lot was happening in the first part, and this one made everything click for me. And bless Marie for the recap at the beginning. Lifesaver.
Watching Thistle build her macabre pack was one of my favorite parts. She was like the Dr. Frankenstein of Omegas. She took the three least-likely Alphas and somehow made it work. It was dark, twisted, and weirdly satisfying. (that's just how my brain works🤷🏻♀️)
Let's talk about Knox and Rogue.🥰 They did it for me. Knox loved Thistle not because of a bond or some fated pull, but because of her. He saw every messy, broken part and still wanted her. He loved Thistle for Thistle, and that made their relationship my absolute favorite. Rogue, on the other hand, was this big, hulking cinnamon roll who happened to be her scent match—but he adored every quirky part of her that made her who she was. Those two gave me everything I wanted emotionally.
Ace, though?😒 I tried, I really did. But he stayed on my nerves from start to finish. Half the time I couldn’t even tell if he liked her or not (and don't get me started on what he did to Glade). He was an absolute tool. Boy, bye 👋
This book was messy, violent, and completely unfiltered—in the best possible way. It’s rough, emotional, and full of characters who make you want to scream and hug them at the same time. I’m going to miss Thistle, Bunny, and her disaster of a pack more than I expected.
✨Thank you to Marie Mackay and her team for the ARC. All unhinged and feral thoughts and opinions are entirely my own. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ HEA? yes 3rd act break-up? no 🌶🌶🌶🌶/5
Ok so, I was lucky enough to get the arc of this book and when I tell you I was dying to get my hands on it... I WAS.
First of all, I have read every single omegaverse from Marie, and I freaking love them, no complaints here, ever.
*Safe to say... spoilers ahead (a few without context)*
Second, well let's dive in shall we? Honestly I think I was expecting a bit more, drama, chaos, it is called psycho alphas, after all. It felt a bit too easy, like everything worked itself out too quickly and yeah I get it, is just one book, but I don't know, I needed more angst from Ace, definitely more chapters from his pov since it felt like I was only reading Knox, more blo*d and pain, to sum up: for me, something was missing.
BUT I liked it, A LOT, the way I started to like Ace even when I freaking hated his ass in queen of diamonds, the whole foot thing? Jesus Christ, how inventive of you miss Mackay, and the monopoly dog? I was laughing my ass off, I truly wasn't expecting that. Boy when the whole wrong name thing happened... can't blame thistle at all, honestly that easily could've been me.
A few favorite quotes just because:
"... she was the only reason he still breathed"
"I like cars, doesn't mean I keeled over when Knox crashed my Mercedes"
"pasta it seemed, was the last straw'"
"I paid five million fucking dollars for you, does that count for nothing? With my money! -Rogue growled"
"You gotta fight for me like Gladiators!"
"He's mine, and if he doesn't get into this pack, you'll never live another day sane"
By the way, I MUST know more about Bambi, and yes I'm manifesting a new book, can't get enough of Marie.
