In Forever, we finally meet the elusive Dexter Vaughn, while learning more about Tyler’s history. We’re also seeing our booktokker, Vallie, develop her relationships with the brothers. Further, there is not only smoking hot chemistry, there is a beautiful familial healing that takes place with Vallie as the driving force behind the reconciliation.

Nicci prepared us for minimal plot and maximum smut. While the duet is best read one-handed, I was completely invested in the brothers’ story and can’t wait for more titles from her Black Label.

this was a beautiful continuation to CurVy 13 and I could not stop until I consumed every last word.

this is a beautiful story in its own sick and twisted way.. the breaking of vallie was all worth in the first book, had she not been broken by them… she would not have been able to put them all back together.
She didn’t just put a family back together, she built something completely new to shelter to broken people surrounding her.

so yes this is a dark, twisted, maybe even depraved story with sick men. Overflowing with spice. But it’s also heartfelt and filled with beauty.
But Hell, what do I know… maybe that’s the Stockholm talking.

WOW!!! The spice and plot really hit the mark! For such a small novella, there was a ton to unpack.

Things I loved:
• Vallie with her love for all the guys and never choosing one over the other.🤌

I'm not going to lie, I wasn't expecting this at all. I assumed a quick smutty filled novella, but this gave the reader so much more!

The first and second books were incredible. At some point in the second book, I honestly was so invested. It had the fast burn I love but with this intriguing character building and plot and twists that made these books so interesting.
Unfortunately, the third book left a slight downer on these books for me.

Overall, decent trilogy.
Spicy, smutty scenes.

I am really loving these dark and spicy novella's by Nicci Harris. This one introduced our heroine to the other brother (Dexter) who was accused of kidnapping a young girl. This one had a lot more plot than I was expecting, and we got to learn more about Tyler. He is honestly my favorite since he is the sweetest and has the most damage. I actually really liked Dexter.

This is a fun time, with some primal play, sex through a dog cage, and group sex.

I was desperate for more Vaughn brothers after the first book and Nicci did not disappoint in the slightest. Vallie is living the dark romance dream!

I loved getting to know Dex more, I fell in love with him.
I loved learning his story and watching the brothers start to repair their relationship was so good.
Donnie and Tyler are so perfect too. Nicci always manages to write the best brothers!

Vallie has chemistry with all her guys and the spice will have you melting!!

I honestly couldn’t put this book down and the ending was perfect.

I can’t wait for more of these black label books from Nicci! And I wouldn’t be sad to see more of Vallie and the brothers.

If my therapist ethical boundaries weren't compromised from book 1, this would have done me in.... when I say the level of lines that Tyler makes me want to cross. Usually I find the (Nicci's words in the dedication, not mine) psychotic cinnamon role adorable but keep my guard up, because boundaries. Not for him... I would risk it all for Tyler.

And that doesn't exclude all the torture we see in Donnie and the endless lines he will walk to protect his family and loved ones. The life he is willing to build and the weight he carries.

Plus... oh Dexter. Talk about an author doing an amazing job of humanizing addiction. So often the tortured side of the humanity of a character with addiction is left out... but here, his humanity within his addiction starts to break through.

I'm usually not a fan of stories that are smut just for the sake of smut, but if Nicci Harris writes it, I will always make an exception. Plus, throw in Donnie and Tyler (sorry Dex), and I will devour it!
You do get a bit of a storyline though. 3 brothers whose relationship is broken until 1 girl enters their lives (more like dragged into it) and mends their broken family (through lots of sex but hey, it still counts).
I'll run through the woods any day of the week if I get to have these brothers hunting me!

First thing first, this is not a stand alone, second check your triggers, Third this story is amazing and I wish it was longer! Ok! So this is the second book in CurVy Thirteen. In the first book you meet Tyler ( my favorite) Donnie and Vallie. There is mention of Dexter. Dexter the oldest, Donnie then Tyler are all brothers. Vallie is a tool if you will. Not explaining go read book one! This is the continuation of book 1…. There is so much in this story that some of us can relate towards. Again no spoilers. I’m sad it over. I hope we either get more of these characters in a book 3. But if not can’t wait for Nicci next book!

A dark novella that continues the story of CurVy 13. It’s a why-choose, short, dark, spicy and fast-paced, two-part novella. Vallie is a curvy heroine who’s a BookTok influencer. Donnie Vaughn, along with his brother, Tyler, are her stalkers/kidnappers. Their brother, Dexter, is a misunderstood billionaire who wants to make amends with his siblings. There is childhood trauma, non-con/dub-con, and violence in this book. It’s erotic with a bit of a plot.

This dark romance follows the story of three brothers and one woman, navigating love, lust, and obsession in a twisted and tumultuous relationship. The lines between love and obsession become blurred, leading to a dangerous and thrilling journey of passion and power. This gripping tale will keep dark romance readers hooked throughout, with secrets and cops looking for Donnie lurking behind every corner.

I wanted to know more about the older brother of the two unhinged men we meet in book one. I knew his reason for kidnapping the little girl would be an emotional one. I didn’t think that I’d like him too. I get it now why this trope is enjoyable. The three brothers make it hard to not fall for them.

It was great reading about their past and how their relationship changed. They love each other, but tragedy separates them. Vallie glued them back together when she came into their lives.

Despite being an erotica, this book still has feelings and emotions, so it doesn't feel like just reading it for the steamy scenes. There's nothing I love more than a book that mixes heart and smut ;) This book is great for dark romance lovers who want a fast read.

Tell me how I've been reduced to a sobbing mess over a supposed smut read?

This book quickly turned into the most captivating beautiful story about broken boys and brothers and healing. I could not allow my eyes to miss a single word because I needed to know everything that was happening to all of these characters. I found myself watching the page numbers and becoming more & more anxious with sadness as it was drawing to an end.

“Such a good boy.” I grip the seam of his jeans and pop the button open. His tongue continues to treat my wound. Had any other man done this—licked blood from me—I’d have a restraining order for him, but I know Tyler is a lunatic, and I wouldn’t have him any other way.

This book focuses a lot on their backstory and the reasons why Tyler is the special boy that he is. Vallie, Donnie, and Dexter - who we finally meet, all create a loving safe space that allow him to begin his healing. To say this boy made me cry multiple times is an understatement. Throughout both books Donnie always had to be the tough one, the one who had to be strong and take care of his twin, the protector. Over time Vallie proves Donnie can trust her with Ty and he can finally let his guard down which allows him to accept her as his girl and his brothers' girl too, yes, both brothers. I 😭😭😭😭 with happiness for him. He could finally be softer and relax and enjoy his family of 4.

His lips slide up my neck, sending skitters of electricity across my skin, and linger on my jaw, teasing and tasting, before sliding to my awaiting mouth. He kisses me.

I immediately bought the paperbacks from Amazon after I finished the duet. These are going on my shelf.

So much to say about such a short read. This one really packed a punch. I really enjoyed the writing of this author. I could feel what the characters felt, I could envision what was happening around them and could immerse myself into the story fully. Very complex like a fine wine with lots of little undertones. A few pieces I could relate to from personal experience but the fact that I could relate to parts of each character without personal experience was what really drove this story into my soul.

I had a very tough time trying to accept incorporating the little girl into the story. Having her taking a bath in the hotel with him alone was a little creepy. I understood him having a parental instinct and looked at it from a female mother's perspective. It completely made sense but I think having a little girl near so many sexually charged and unstable men seemed off to me. This is all from personal experience, though so my viewpoint is a little skewed maybe. Maybe if they had just facilitated her directly to a new, good foster family I wouldn't have had issues with it. I know the characters talked about doing that for the little girl but we don't know at the end if that really happened.

There were so many complex psychological issues at play during this whole story. The author did such a great job of just digging into them and had me second guessing myself and my beliefs.

Only a few grammatical and/or spelling errors so not too distracting as a whole.
I will re-read again.

This is the second novella in the Curvy Thirteen Playlist, if you thought the first one was pure filth then be ready to be completely blown away with the filth in this one. You must read the first to understand the whole story, but when the first ended with Dexter Vaughn showing up, I knew it was about to get pretty damn good. I didn’t think Tyler would go as far as to take her birth control, but he is definitely alittle unhinged when it comes to something getting in his way especially when it comes to his Vallie Baby. However he is a good boy for her when she pushes him to take his medication, she understands him & supports him especially during his flashbacks. Let’s not mention they slept in a dang dog crate & what takes place between those metal bars in absolutely sinister, but she finished with two men worshiping her & it ended in a splash. We all knew Donnie couldn’t stay away from his pup for too long, but when he proposed the rabbit chase, I was on the edge of my seat. After learning about Dexter from the trail in the first book, this gave me so much clarity, especially hearing his side of the story. Those last few chapters were filled to the brim with filthy smut & a heart felt family moment for the epilogue. I definitely recommend if you’re looking for something quick with not a lot of plot, but a heck of a lot of spice & filth, but please read triggers if you have any sensitivities to certain subjects.

I was in the mood to read something dark and depraved, and I think this series did a good job of fulfilling that itch.

The only reason why I'm giving 2 stars instead of higher is because of Tyler and Donnie's relationship and the weird tension they had at times.

Some examples:

1.) Donnie and Tyler calling each "mine"
2.) Donnie being jealous of Tyler because of Vallie, but also being jealous of her because of Tyler
3.) Donnie saying he knows his "sweet brother". "Every inch of muscles, every little tic"
4.) Donnie giving Tyler a hickey because Tyler was upset Donnie gave one to Vallie

See what I mean when I say the relationship seems incestuous at times?

I don't care that Donnie and Tyler are twins. I have siblings myself and the thought of giving them a hickey, of being jealous of who they're in love with, or saying I know every inch of their muscle lowkey makes me want to throw up, lol.

I think the author was attempting to write them as the messed up psychotic twins who are really attuned to each other and love each other. But it could've been written better.

The only thing I need from you is another epilogue, a very long one with some extra juicy details. We need the boys being parents, family and just overall cute with their girls. I cannot stop thinking about them, to the extent I read it twice in the same day. I need to see Tyler heal, play the piano, Donnie being sweet and Dexter “hunting rabbits”. I will beg for a second one, quite literally. We love what you write, what you imagine because it’s a reality that only exist in our shared comforts that you make happen.

I can’t say this novella is amazing but it isn’t bad. It held my interest even if the plot didn’t make that much sense. This would be a book I classify as All Porn Barely Any Plot same as the first book. This book wraps everything up pretty quick. I can’t say it blew me away. I think it had a lot more potential than it gave. I think the brothers were all interesting and I would have liked to have seen more of a development between them and the protagonist.

I don’t know of anything that I’ve read or watched that is similiar to this in any way. I think that maybe those quick fanfic oneshots you read sometimes are the closest vibe to this book but that is it.

I would recommend this to anyone who just doesn’t know what they want to read next. It isn’t something that I would gravitate towards unless I had no idea what I wanted to read.

A great conclusion to the plot line laid out in book 1! Once again the book started with a warning about a minimal plot and lots of smut. The author obvious doesn't realize just how talented she is because the plot is complete and really good! Book 2 continues to follow the Vaughn brothers as they attempt to correct another wrong committed by their older brother who we meet first hand in this book. The story continues right where book 1 left off with the addition of this new character. He is witty and arrogant and also battling his own demons in the form of guilt and regret. Like she does in book 1 with Tyler and Donnie, Vallie brings peace and contentment to Dexter. There are subtle twists and turns and because of the shorter length of the book you aren't waiting long together juicy bits of the story. A story about the heart wanting what the heart wants and the resolve to decide not to fight destiny.

The editing and grammar are good. There are a few misprints that jump out but nothing extreme or hard to brush over and continue on without distraction.
