DNF’d at 42%. i read dark romance and i knew this would be “dark” but i at least like a MMC with at least one redeeming quality. but sam the mmc didn’t have any. even when he was trying to do “good” i was suspicious of him. i really didn’t like how he treated Kim the FMC. this book just wasn’t for me.

This is not dark at all. Boring like why kidnap a girl and then do nothing but eat dinner with her and dress her. It is not until chapter 20 something they even get in bed together. She was dumb like her inner thoughts were i know i should be mad but he is so hot. The blurb made it seem like she tried to escape which she didn’t and she liked him from beginning which ruined everything and it was not non con It felt more like dub con but only because he kidnaps her but again he kidnaps her and makes no moves so boring so barley even dub con. I was between 1 and 2 star but I am giving it a generous 2 stars

I dnf at 34% Sam is possessive or obsessed. He's a controlling ass. He controls what she wears, what she eats, when she eats, when she bathes, even her speaking is controlled when he's around. It sucks that this happened to be the book I chose to try and get back into bully romance. She's a prisoner. Literally.

Stalker/ forced proximity/ morally gray MMC/ BWWM/ sports romance/ HEA

Trigger warning: death of a loved one/ kidnapping/ violence/ guns/ drugs

This had a good plot but the characters were pretty flawed and it just felt a bit rushed. I’m also unsure if I would classify this as a “bully romance”. The MMC is controlling and obnoxious but I wouldn’t necessarily say that anything he did could be considered bullying.

I love an alpha male with morally gray layers and Sam is that.

Lately, I’m been searching and reading stories that have blurbs promising an alpha leading man; a few have let me down, but not this. Sam is rich, arrogant and is an alpha through and through with a touch of (what Kim labeled him with) psycho. I love Kim, too. She was strong and funny with a bit of a dark side. Their chemistry was HOT! There were a couple things plot-wise that I thought were missed opportunities, but nothing that takes away from the overall story. The HEA worked out perfectly and I loved it. A+++

I love a bully romance as much as the next person but ONLY when they make sense…this guy sees a woman decides she’s his EVERYTHING and once he gets over the task of winning the Stanley Cup devises a plan that is to kidnap the ice girl he sees but NEVER speaks to. Plans a party has all the ice girls show up, kisses her once in a locked room in the hotel his grandfather owns, leaves her there. Then drugs her to bring her to his house keeping her again locked away. The whole time he BARELY comes to see her so she has NO CLUE wtf this Rich hockey captain wants from her. Then chokes Ts out of her & lets her know her ever MOVE is his to decide. He begins to control every moment of her day & keeps her locked in his house in a room…like when I say control I mean when she’s speaks, where in the house she goes, what she wears EVERYTHING…he has an entire house staff holding her hostage 😩…in his mind already she’s his be all end all…she’s everything he didn’t know he needed…how am I supposed to take this seriously as a romance 🤦 we BARELY even got any backstory on both characters & we’re 33% into the book…he doesn’t know her but OBSESSED with her but also won’t tell her anything at least not on page bc the author hasn’t wrote it in yet but he KNOWS she his EVERYTHING…and she’s just like ummmm soooooo all I know is I hate him & he’s a kidnapping psychopath 🤦😩😭…this is so ridiculous to read I’m barely hanging on but I just had to comment on just that…I don’t know how far I’ll get but this is just a silly version of Jason Bateman with a “Hockey” title…bc the season is over by the time we’re reading so Sam never even “Hockeys” 🤦😂🤣🤣🤣 straight up ridiculous.

Hot and Sexy

There are some many examples of GOOD Authors. But. Here’s a GREAT example of what a GOOD Authors are…
Sin Bin Bully is hot AAAND sexy. The chemistry is just totally off the charts with Kim and Sam.

This book needs a companion. An epilogue or something. We need more.
I’m looking forward to seeing it.

Setting: Modern day Washington DC and Boston MA.

Trope: Sports romance. Captor/captive.

Characters:
1. Sam Warwick, hero, is a wealthy NHL player and star player on the DC Wolverines.
2. Kim Daniels, heroine, is a dancer and member the ice girls entertainment squad for the Wolverines.
3. Joe, Barret and Derek are Sam's coach and teammates.
4. Matthew is the drug dealing villainous teammate who hates Sam.
5. Brandi and Alexi are Kim's newly found friends and co-worker on the ice girls squad.
6. Zander and Braden are two of Kim's five brother's.
7. Nathan is a petty criminal and Kim's older brother.

This is story has dark themes; however, it doesn't feel dark. Sam falls for Kim at first sight. His desire to possess and protect her soon becomes an obsession and he devises a plan to kidnap her. After his team wins the Cup, Sam throws a lavish party at one of his grandfather's hotels. At this party, Sam takes Kim to his mansion and proceeds to woo her: he presents her with gifts, his promises of undying love and kisses her but he doesn't attempt to force her into having sex. After overcoming false accusations of drug usage, his mother's initial dislike of Kim and an attempt on his life, Sam feelings for Kim are reciprocated and they marry and get their HEA.

Sam and Kim. Hes a hockey legend. Shes a hockey team dancer, one of the ice girls, hes fixated on. Obssessed with. Theres a newbie team member that doesnt have a clue. All adds to the drama and chaos. Is a dark romance with a stalker alpha with a littly crazy. She has responsibilities and a relationship isnt one of them. But she has a little dark to her too. Really a great read couldnt put it down.

Psycho Love - Gotta Love It

Wow this was some hot, psycho crazy love 💕 on another level. Through in some BDSM with the psycho part and it gets even crazier, but it worked. Made me even think did I have a little submissive inside me. But I enjoyed this going to the next story. I also can see myself reading this another time when I’m looking for a book to read that I already read.

I really enjoyed this story. We follow Sam who is a hockey player and she Kim who is a dance skater. Sam is immediately smitten with her and becomes his obsession, the chemistry and attraction between was great to read. You are so attached to their story that you hope they will get together.

Exceptional!!!

Personally, I loved this book. There wasn't any violance of being tortured, physically abused, or mind games. Spoiler alert.... He did give her the opportunity to leave, but SHE chose to stay.
If you've experienced any type of stockholdm syndrome or have been in a controlled relationship that has/had your mental health suffering, then this book is not for you.

this book is kinda insane in the fact that sam is just an unhinged psycho. his rage's source is never delved into, but it sure is entertaining and i loved how crazy he was for kim. its not realistic at all or has much plot but it was fun.

Slow burn

I would recommend this book. It was pretty good n although Sam was intense I liked the characters. It was a slow burn that seemed a little dry but that could have been just me. Either way I did enjoy it. It is a billionaire bully romance but it does have a great HEA.
