Taviny's Blood #3

Blood of a Fallen Queen

Rate this book
A year has passed, new cities being erected, travel amongst the magicfolk beginning to trickle, all while the prophecy nears. It feels as though Taviny and Roxston have all the world at their feet. However, as their world goes, nothing is ever as it seems. The past has other plans for our pair and their friends. All Taviny can do is run towards her future, but the problems she left behind are nipping at her heels ever reminding her of the prophecy. Some humans have welcomed the changes with open arms, but not everyone is as happy to coexist. Magic and the new queen have lit a fuse of tension and animosity that is shrouded in ignorance. Taviny trusts in those around her, but her eyes cannot be everywhere all at once. There is always a blindspot and her enemies are just waiting for that opening to strike. Blood must be inevitably spilled and the peace they seek is beginning to seem too far out of reach. Taviny wonders if she will ever catch up to who she is destined to be or if this will be her greatest failure.

My third book by Irene Daniels did not disappoint. The first chapter was a flashback/dream and it was written so well and tugged at my heartstrings. Blood of A Fallen Queen is a medium paced, character-driven, high fantasy with simple/easy to understand world-building. There are multiple storylines woven into an overarching plotline which makes for a larger cast of characters that you will fall in love with.

The author’s storytelling is captivating, balancing emotions, adventure, heart and curiosity within a wonderfully sculpted fantasy world filled with all sorts of mythical creatures.

Things I loved about book 3: that this story celebrates being different and we can learn from one another; the character growth; the ending (can’t give it away but it was so good); loved Daniel and Raksasa’s continued story; and I still absolutely adore Roxton’s nickname for Taviny…. wild one.

If you’re looking to discover something original and memorable, then this is the series you’re looking for! I enjoyed this story and look forward to book four! 🤍

Disclaimer: I was provided an early free copy of the book to provide an honest review.

This is the 3rd book of an action packed magical fantasy series. The author does a great job of sweeping you into a mystical kingdom and world by creating a vivid picture of the world we are entering through incredible storytelling.

I enjoy how the book begins with the dedication and gratitude section. It also provides a TW section to help prepare the reader for topics within the story.

After a year has passed we begin to see the development of new cities being created. The story begins with a bang and a prophetic yet threatening letter attached to an arrow for Queen Taviny. We are visited by phantasms who give us a glimpse and better understanding of the past of characters. There are also unexpected alliances between characters. I think I developed whiplash from the twists and turns in this story.

The author has an incredible writing style of creating a story with intertwined messages that could be used to make life as we know it better. The imagery of holding someone’s actual heart in your hand would potentially cause you to take extra care in keeping that heart safe.

I definitely didn’t expect the ending and look forward to reading more about the new discovery!

So we start off a year later, everyone is experiencing growing pains, it’s nice to see the struggle, most books glaze over the struggle and get right to the congrats the saviour has won. Aww my gods they never learn, 2 years so much happened and growing up and they still lack the ability to talk to one another and make plans.

A good 25% of the book had me mad and not in a good way. the books were going to good, and then halfway through the second stupid decisions are made. Finally off to happier notes with Demons.

And heavy freaking plot twists wow.

You got me, I’m a blubbering mess with this book… literally allover the place from beginning till the very end. Such a good book. And at least this book did not end in a complete cliff hanger, but a simple teaser of what’s to come next.

Key notes, in o particular order
– giants
– elvinkind
– humans
– magic
– building anew
– murderous plots
– knife play
– 1 On page Spice-ish scene
- Mermaids
- Orcs
- unicorns
- dragons
- shifters

10/5 stars! This is the third book and I feel like each book is better and better. The way the story flows. All the twists and turns to everything that happens. I love the quests and adventures. I absolutelylove both the FMC and MMC. The FMC doesn’t stop she keeps pushing for herself and for her people. What she finds along the way literally keeps you on the edge of your seat. I felt every emotion through reading this and I couldn’t get enough! What she thinks she knows and what she finds out. I love that nothing was predictable and it just kept you invested through the entire story. One of the best books I’ve read this year! Would 100% recommend picking this series up. Unicorns and dragons it’s just everything! -Kerin

Blood of a Fallen Queen is book three in the Blood of Taviny series. This series is jam packed with action and adventure! This was definitely the best book of this series! It was such a fun read!! I was eating up every word! I love the writing style so much in this book!

Taviny’s journey has been entertaining throughout the three books! I love strong willed fmcs, and that definitely describes her!

I wish we had more of Sunshine and Url in this one. They were my favorite characters in books one and two, and it felt like they were barely in this one 😔.

(Also I heard that there’s going to be an another book set in this world 👀sign me up please!! 👋🏻)

Thank you to Irene Daniels for sending me an arc in exchange for an honest review ❤️

I was given the opportunity to read this series: Taviny the Blood Series by Irene Daniels, Writer and y'all. It was an incredible roller coster but the 3rd in the series had me crying and laughing at the end. I love Taviny's dragon heart and the love that she has for ALL and how she is willing to love so openly no matter who you are. In reality I feel that some of us in the world can take note from her love. The characters were so well described and written in the stories along with their settings. Demons, elvenkind, fairies, giants and more. I highly encourage you if you love dragons and inclusiveness and just an all around great story to read this. :)

the story has strong female main characters, morally gray male lead, magic, mythical amazing creatures i want to exist in real life, politics (but in an entertaining way lol), prohecies, and an ongoing fight for a world where we can all co exist.

the author has a clear vision of her characters and the beautiful world she creates, and she manages to stay true to that throughout the series and this book is no exception. the story continues in a way that is both magical yet still realistic as characters clash over new rulership and merging of different "cultures" shall we say. this story remains true to its mythos and the magic continues.

4.5⭐️
This series definitely gets better the further into it you get, and I feel in this third instalment the authors really found their voice. Fast paced action coupled with high emotion really made this a page turner. Similarly to the second book, I love how much of the side characters we get to see, and exploring their backstories and characters arcs really add a lot of depth to the story. Taviny’s character has also showed a lot of growth, and the climax of this book will really have you hooked!

This book is an emotional roller coaster in all the best ways! We get to dive in and get closer to alot of the characters and watch them all heal from everything they’ve been through. I loved getting to see Daniel’s and daeva’s relationships and growth as well as taviny and roxton in this book. The writing makes you feel so much and leaves the characters sneaking their way in your heart
