No matter who you were, no matter how much of your life and body you’ve given to entertain these people, fans won’t hesitate to turn on you in an instant. - Ronda Rousey
I have always been a fan of Ronda Rousey, in fact I have had the pleasure of meeting her twice in my life and both times she was very humble, and engaging with her fans.
On 15th November, 2015 I stood on my chair inside Etihad Stadium (which has now become known as Marvel Stadium) tears streaming down my face, as I witnessed just rows from the octagon the head kick that changed Ronda Rousey’s life.
What I also witnessed was the amount of people who celebrated Ronda’s loss, and not because they were Holly Holmes’ fans but because they like to see people fail. I never understood this about the human race! Why do some people celebrate someone’s worst day? A person they have never met, spoken to or truly know in any shape or form?
Our Fight by Ronda Rousey takes the reader on her journey leading up to that fight, the aftermath, and then her career with the WWE. It also gives the reader a glimpse into her life away from the spotlight.
I thoroughly enjoyed Ronda’s second book and not just because I am a fan of hers, but because I was intrigued with the insight it gives the reader into the dealing and workings within the WWE.
I also enjoy how Ronda is true to herself and her emotions. Unforgiving if she comes across aggressive. This isn’t a poor me, I am a victim story, it is Ronda’s story and how she viewed and processed the emotions of what happened to her!
Really, really good! Didn't think I'd care but it's really interesting, changed my view if her and was a pre warning to the craziness around the WWE and Vince McMahon
