3 stars - this has some really good bones for a longer, fleshed out spooky tale. I would delve more into the town, give readers some good background on the spooky mystery. Also, because of how short it is, the romance between the two characters doesn’t feel completely realized.

It is self-published, so grammar and sentence structure could use some work, but overall, a cute short story!
