The magic of the holiday season continues in this heartwarming Christmas romance about the power of love and second chances.
Fifteen years ago, Holly Archer made her very worst mistake. Now that mistake is back in town for the holidays, and doing his level best to pretend she doesn’t exist.
Which is all well and good, until a radio station—helped along by Holly’s seven-year-old daughter—catches wind of her story and decides to make good on a very special Christmas wish. Suddenly, Holly’s life has become a spectacle, with all eyes on her as she embarks on a series of twelve holiday-themed dates in the hopes of finally finding love this Christmas season.
It’s either the very best decision of her life… or her second worst mistake.
But one thing is for as the snow swirls through the crisp mountain air and the golden glow of twinkle lights descends on the town, this Christmas will be one that Holly never forgets.
Another quick read and super cute book in this series. Perfect for the holidays and gives the Hallmark movie vibes. Looking forward to reading the next 2!
Another entertaining book by Mia Kent! This story revolves Holly Archer, her daughter, Sophie, & Leo Miller. A radio station asked children to call in & advise Santa what they wanted. Sophie called in & asked for a male friend for her mother to make her happy. This request started a variety of ideas. Leo & Holly had been friends since they were children. Fifteen years ago, Leo told Holly he loved her. She didn’t reciprocate her feelings. The radio station learned of this relationship & planned dates for them, calling them The Twelve Dates of Christmas. Please read this book to find the twists & turns! It’s well worth your time!
This was a really good read. Poor Holly had made a terrible mistake earlier in her young life. She fell for the smooth talking wild ways of the new boy in town. She had blindly tuned her back on her very best friend, and has regretted it for 15 years. Will she be able to get her chance at a second chance or will the radio station ruin everything for her. Like I said earlier I had tears for all of the heart break that Holly went through and at the end it turned into something more. I loved this story.
I downloaded this book because I liked the characters and the story in book one and wanted to read about the continuing story of Gabe and Natalie, however, this is a story about Gabe's sister Holly and her quest to rekindle a love from 10 or 20 years ago. This story is not as captivating as book one.
3.5 stars. This was more of a novella so the story was super rushed. I think I could have lived it if there was more. But the events felt like rocks skipping on water. It’s hard to get on board when there’s nothing to be invested in.
And, yes, it's a predictable Christmas story with all the marks of a Hallmark movie... but it still fun to read and see how they got to their happy ending.
I love books that are a series. The characters become like family and you end up wanting everything to work out for them. Such is the case with this series. Loved every word.
